England struggling at 34/4, all 4 wickets belongs to Axar-Ashwin its clearly shows that they are mentally exhausted completely (Stokes physically)  and already gave up.

So far in this series, we didn't see any fumbles when he was behind the wicket and don't forget, all are turning tracks so its a big improvement IMO. He would get better with the experience. Not sure about short format but in test format he has all the ingredients to become like a Gilly and he's heading in the right direction.

Dhoni is limited overs great (WK batsman) but with all due respect, he was average in the Test format so comparison with the Pant doesn't makes sense IMO. Pant already surpassed Dhoni in the red ball cricket in his short career. 

Your points make sense bro, but comparing him to such legends is still way too early IMO. I admit that he has improved a lot in recent times and has a bright future in the test format, but he needs to perform well across all formats in order to be compared with Gilly, MSD etc.

MSD's wicketkeeping skills are legendary across all formats IMO which is why I disagree with your point that his skills were average in the test format. There are tons of compilations available online to prove that.

Pants bats down the order, 5th or 6th. Dhoni used to bat at same position, so Dhoni wins here easily. We can't compare Pant and Gilly in ODI because Gilly was opener.

Ofc he still have long journey ahead and all i'm saying that he might end up like gilly in the test format. Workload is heavy nowadays compare to old days so it would be interesting if he continues to play 70-80 tests.

ENG tail is not much stronger as India so now the match is almost finished by today, the question is India can win by an innings which can give them great confidence when they enter into the WTC finals. Washington Sundar is a great find for team India and he also have great future ahead hope he will not get stuck into any politics and not enough opportunites.

When ever England played except for the first innings of the first Test BCCI was planting some kind of bots to shift the surface and the England batsman were struggling and when India plays somehow they flat out the pitch  . 205 in the first innings and 135 in the second innings and i think Washington Sundar should be given the man of the match award to bat the way he did in this pitch and picked a crucial wicket in the first innings and Axar Patel or Ravichandran Ashwin will be the man of the series.

Pant was given as man of the Match for his 100 and he deserved it because at one stage India were struggling at 150 for loss of six wickets and the partnership between Sundar and Pant made the difference here.Aswin as the Man of series and there is no wonder because spin outplayed this series completely and Ashwin was one of the important man in the spin attack with his handy knocks while batting too.

Finally, India qualified for the WTC finals.

This guy Pant is here to stay, I am pretty sure he will be the permanent wicketkeeper for India in test format. I am sure BCCI would now also check his batting and wicketkeeping abilites for shorter format. Axar patel performed exceptionally well in his home ground, he is another person's who would be seen quite frequently in different formats of Indian cricket. I am sorry for Sundar he did his job but could not find a partner on the other side to stick till the end.

England might've never thought of innings loss against India. Throughout the series India played well, and in this match the Indian cricketers are really strong. In specific, each and every player gave their contribution. If one doesn't do well, the next one takes the role and paved path for win. This is the reason I find on India for having a 3-1 series win.

For New Zealand also, apart from Kane Williamson, the other batsmen are not up to the mark.

The problem with India is its middle order, they have been struggling which is evident in the last test match. Tailenders have been contributing a lot. Gill as an opening batsman has also failed. India need to look into the batting line up before the finals otherwise NZ will easily win it.

About WTC final, we have a new update about the venue due to ongoing pandemic. ICC planning to move WTC final out of Lord's

And the new venue is yet to be announced by ICC so we never know what kind of pitch the teams going to play.

ICC will be preparing the pitch and therefore I don't expect any unusual support for the pacers. For them, it will be beneficial if the match lasts the full five days.

Usually the ICC will not look after the pitch preparation during ICC events as the host nation will take care of those. The WTC will be a great success if we will see the result rather than going for a draw and hence i expect a good pitch that have support for the bowlers as well.

 

Batsmen look out of form for both the teams. Rahane and Pujara are not scoring consistently and even Kohli had a recent drop in form. For New Zealand also, apart from Kane Williamson, the other batsmen are not up to the mark.

Kiwis playing 2 tests match series against England before the WTC finals so it would help them, although some premier player will feature in IPL (condition apply: if their franchise reach the final of IPL). On the other hand Indian team will go directly to finals without any practice match so its a tricky situation.

Among the Indian batsmen, I have only seen Virat Kohli who is consistent in such conditions. None of the other batsmen have a good record in SENA nations, on a consistent basis. And New Zealand do have some very good fast bowlers who can exploit such conditions.

-Rahane at MCG (112,27 ) match winning inning, Man of the match
-Pujara at SCG ( 50, 77) Match saving innings along with Pant's (97). After that Vihari and Ashwin bated almost 50 overs for draw.
-Sunder (62) Thakur (67) 7th wicket partnership of 120+ runs at Gabba in first inning, when India was struggling at 186/6. After that in second inning Gill's (91), Pujara's (56) followed by Pant's (89).

Point is nowadays Indians are playing like a team, everyone is trying to contribute and compete. In recent series against England Pujara, Kohli and Rahane failed badly but still India won 3-1. Consistency or any kind of criticism is completely fine but on the same time we shouldn't forget that what this Indian team has achieved in the last 3-4 months.
