Two batsman who are on crease currently will play a vital role tomorrow. If they could negotiate the first session without losing more than 1 wicket then things may be better looking for India else since they do not have much depth in their batting order now in this test it will only add more pressure on remaining batsman. Even if 1 of them from Rahane and Pujara can reach century then India would reach near OZ score even if they do not end up taking lead in first innings.

Anyone watching the one sided match between Srilanka and England ? Just saw the score on cricinfo and was surprised to see such a poor performance from srilanka. They only made 135 runs in the first innings. I expected them to show some better performance in their home ground.

Wasn't surprised since England has better squad than Sri Lanka. Still 135 is very low, quite some performance from Dom Bess and Broad in first innings. Winning is out of option for Sri Lanka, they still have chance to draw (very small chance). They started the second innings well with both the opening batsman giving them quite a score. Still Thirimanne is on crease which is a good sign for Sri Lanka, I think startegy for the fourth day should be to play it slow and push the match towards draw. It would be quite some task for the middle order though.

Saw the scorecard and expected that SL is now not as powerful as a team what they used to be few years back. Only good thing in this test match is that SL has come back strongly than the first innings atleast. Though the ned result might be England winning it, but what SL requires is to sustain their innings for longer time and bat as much as possible and not give up easily like in first innings they did. This is how the players will get exposure and experience and which in turn will help may be in future games.

After very poor performance in first inning now they are doing much better in second as they are facing fight against time they must need to avoid inning defeat at home because this could be worst for them just because of this now much things better but tomorrow first session could be very important as Thirimanne  is key for them if he is going to stay then surely they will able to do some moe good after end of third day in this first test England 421/10 Sri Lanka 135/10 & 156/2 very poor from Sri Lanka.

Only century is not going to help he need to stay on for very long time because just fourth day of match and they are already trailing so they need to do some big score if they want to do something good otherwise its already out of way for them Mathews and Chandimal still to come mean this person can go with them need inning like Root then surely its could make some big difference.

Don't even remind me how fucking shit SL played in 1st inning, it was look like they were not playing test match but T20 and playing very risky shot even without settling.

Funny part was they lost their marbles on very average balls, they literally gifted 5fer to Tom Bess and Asian batsmen considered fine batsmen of spin lol. Even Indians repeat such drama against spinners every now n then.

Rohit, Rahane and Mayank all got the start and threw away their wickets. I agree on Rohit, so far he got good start in his last 3 innings and shortly after got reckless. There is no demon here in Gabba's pitch, runs coming very easily.

Pant got the good start, let's see what he does next and Sunder looking confident so far, i think if he gets some run here then he could replace Jadeja against England as jaddu is injured.

I am now sure that Sunder is playing against England next month and how good is lord Shardul. This is highest 7th wicket partnership for India. Mighty impressed!!

Looks like you had a vision that the tail end players will score big and i had a laugh reading this earlier but with the way Shardul Thakur and Washington Sundar is playing it is possible that they could score a century each. I never thought they could bat and India is surprising everyone all the time. Last match there was Ashwin and Vihari and now a new set of players trying to save the match.
