I'm beginning to suspect there is a curse behind every No. 7 jersey worn by Ronaldo, every since he left Manchester United everyone who wore the jersey never thrived.

I won't say it's a curse (although I get what you're trying to say) but rather I would say he (Ronaldo) sets very high standards that other prayers are unable to match in the shorters time required by the club/manage/fans which make it very difficult for the players since they're been pressured to deliver in every game they play.

Ronaldo is a goal machine but hazard isn't rather he's a play maker so the Real Madrid fans shouldn't be expecting the 30 goals plus scored in a calendar by Ronaldo to be achieved by hazard as even in his very best prime (at Chelsea) he couldn't get that number.

It is very possible for Barcelona to win ATM as it been played at Camp Nou. Barcelona has not lost a single match there for very long time.

The main match that would be terrific for Barcelona is Vs Alaves and Villarreal.

If the match was played before the restart I would say Barcelona gonna win 100%. But after the pause, ATM has changed and advanced in the table after winning many math. Now regarding Barca struggling to win vs weaker teams than ATM, I doubt they could get 3 points from them. ATM can manage to get a draw or even win if they focus in the game and avoid stupid mistakes!

Meanwhile Barcelona struggling to find their best form, plus this Barcelona had a bad luck in fixtures.. while real madrid seems had an average opponent left ahead.
I'm sure when Barcelona get another points dropped against Atletico Madrid this Tuesday.. real madrid is the la liga champion .. i have no doubt.

Real Madrid faced those teams before Barca and get good results. That's it. Average opponents left for Real Madrid but they will have to focus 100% to get best results as they can. Barca will have to do the same. We will know the final result of the race soon.

It's almost confirmed, 2 points behind now and get dropped for another 2 or even three points if they lost to Atletico.

Real Madrid had troubles before the appearance of Zizou but how about Barca, they has gotten troubles for all the season so far? It is not the fault of the pandemic, of fixture. Don't blame on it.

He is a solid working mid, but I really can't see how he is worth 72 millions. You would think that prices of players would be lower and transfers more reasonable, but it seems we will continue the same course.

I'm very sure he won't leave to any team, since he is too comfortable in Barcelona. He is literally the real manager of the team. No club will treat him like Barca. The one who will leave at the end of the season is Setien for sure. And anyone who against Messi. As always.

Lol. It still amazes me knowing a striker who literally scored nothing could won World Cup. Seriously, France still could be able to won the cup if they replaced Giroud with Lord Bendtner or a scarecrow. Lol jk, more or less, during the tournament, Giroud still contributed. But Benzema is waaay much better and arguably the best French center forward right now.

Barcelona also have signed Pjanic from Juventus for £62m. The Bosnian midfielder has signed four year contract with Barcelona. Good deal for both sides as Juventus got a young talented midfielder Arthur and Barcelona got their target plus also got a little bit improvement in their financial situation.



Pjanic will be a great addition to the Barcelona's mid. Can't wait him to see him in action.

Yep, some journalists are saying that the relationship between players (with Messi leading the pack) and the coaching staff is nonexistent...Obviously, whenever this sort of stuff happens, the first one to get kicked out of the team is the head coach...I'm starting to think the problem isn't the managers in Barca, but rather the players who think they're above the manager.

I don't think so, I would have agreed if Barcelona had sold him outright for 72 million but the numbers are just to keep them in accordance with the FFP rules, and Barcelona will be paying back 62 millions to Juventus for Miralem Pjanic. If you ask me, I'd say Barcelona are the heavy losers here, Arthur is just 23 years old, and Pjanic is 30 already just another addition to an ageing squad.

Are you serious? He is one of the best midfield prospect in La Liga right now. His ball retention is probably the best in Europe (maybe at Iniesta level already). I agree he hasn't shown much promise in creative play and hardly making vertical passes but I won't blame him for the same. It's more because Barca style of play revolves around Messi and under Valverde/Setien, midfielders role is mostly limited to retain possession and pass to Messi.

Arthur has been creating some of the incredible piece of play at Barcelona especially that goal against Villarreal. I had no doubt he will grow as the prominent midfielder at Barcelona in 2-3 years especially after Messi leaves. But board had entirely different intentions. Pjanic + 10M for Arthur, what a joke! You know what is the most ridiculous part, Barcelona setting the release clause of 400M on Pjanic!! I don't even know should I laugh or cry as a Barca fan.

Valencia just recently sacked their manager Albert Celades. Here is the statement on their site: https://valenciacf.com/en/article/en-official-statement-2020-06-29 . According to the news, Voro González is coming in as provisional manager to take care of the team for the remainder of the season. Valencia have dropped to 8th now on the table and have been out of form throughout the season. 6 matches more to go so lets see if the provisional manager will be able to do a good job in getting his team back into the Europa spot at least.

Yeah it is actually with players in that age range. Don't know what triggered both to agree on long term contract but Barcelona have been eyeing him for a long time and maybe he also wanted to play and get dedicated to a side like Barcelona. It's good if he wants to end his career playing for Barcelona but just hope that his journey at Barcelona would be a good one.

I think the chances of Barca to shift Madrid are very small, the draw they (Barca) experienced when vs Celta has become a big barrier..  tomorrow Barca will face an ATM even though they will most likely win but it is difficult to catch up Madrid.  I read on sports news that Koke and Stefan (ATM players) don't play tomorrow's game because of the accumulation of yellow cards, this really should be utilized by Barca..

Or a one-year contract, clubs I think even have a contract extension policy of only just a year for players above 30 (For players in the team already). Barcelona are going for four in this case and it's obvious why, he's a new recruit and they cannot sign him for £62m and give him just one or two years contract, it'll run out quickly and they'd have to renew again, prolly with more expensive clauses for the club, and if they want to sell him, they'll not be at the liberty to sell him at their asking price and could lose the player for even free. Finally also looking at the terms of the deal, it's obvious they are blind to Pjanic's age.
