The three from my customer are capped at 1100W, as per Zvi's recommendations. They're each hashing stably at around 3950 GH/s. Currently, I'm seeing 3923.69 GH/s, 3951.675 GH/s, and 3982.555 GH/s. These three are all running 2.2.35.

This simply isn't the advertised (after adjustment) 4.5TH.  WTF?  Is spondoolies trying to lower the rate still further?  6.5Th -> 6.0TH -> 5.5TH -> 4.5Th -> 4.0TH.  Where does this stop?

4 is about 60% of 6.5.  That sucks tremendously.  That is not a simple engineering estimation error.  That is a major defect.

Product was advertised at 5.4Th/s. The 6Th/s was an added bonus and not available for long and for many customers. SP10 had a drop in hashrate on 110V so it was expected to be the same for SP30. The machine can do 4.5Th/s, but you just need to supply it the proper power.

it was 0,5 W/GH. 2200W for 3950GH is 0,56 W/GH. But I guess its not the 5400GH, thats a pretty 25% loss. When you ordered 4 pcs. then you have one lost. Pre-orders are like buying a pig in a poke. it could we worser.

Just to compare the new Bitmine S3+ https://www.bitmaintech.com/productDetail.htm?pid=00020140813125800214NBU85kWt0672
10 pieces = 4530GH +-5% / 3550W
Price: 5.8 BTC + 5 PSUs for each $150 = ~$3,132 + $750 = $3,882
Funny, exactly the same like the YUKON SEPTEMBER BATCH 2 for $3,895 - but slightly less noisy...

you dont want to underestimate the amount of Ph that will be added to the network nor the difficulty.. one month is eternity in bitcoin. plus S3+ are just what S3 were supposed to do initially. complete BS. you can see manufacturers are having a hard time, competition is ramping up and they prefer solomine whilst also presaling at the same time.. bad business practices.. bad bad bad..

My S3s that I bought just for fun all do 475 and most do 500GH stable 24/7.

SP30 is probably still the better deal though.

When does the Gb start shipping?

I read on here after August 15th....we will see

Searing

I read on here after August 11th.  But then again, August 15th is after August 11th.  In fact nearly every possible shipping day is after August 15th so that is a safe bet.

Meanwhile, here is an SP30 working away at 4.4TH (his little brother SP10 is also on the same address). http://eligius.st/~wizkid057/newstats/userstats.php/1PHoAANpMqnFU76BLNu8EgXVUTKF5X1zXh

My S3s are steady state - but not so high as yours.  Did you change the clock?  I am running stock so far.  I average about 440.  The only time they didn't perform well is during a power outage in our building.  They totally suck during those situations.

They obviously do 500 at 250 clock speed, as clock speed directly relates to GH.

Anyway, with them both shipping at the same time, I guess I would go for the sp30 every time.

The Bitmain S1 upgrade to S3+ wins hands down for people who already have S1s and power supplies.
However, neither is likely to ROI.

I ordered my S3s a week ago and they are hashing today.  I ordered my SP30 months ago and they are still not manufactured.

'Shipping at the same time' - is total bullshit.  Just because you've shipped one SP30 doesn't mean you are shipping at the same time.  You are starting to sound just like KNC.  They are 'shipping' Neptunes too (lol).  Only problem is they've shipped a few and thousands remain on the assembly floor.

Bitmain kicked your ass.  Simple fact.  The only thing you can do about it is - pick your dumb asses up off the floor, put on a rally and go kick their ass next round.  Stop trying to play matters into the best light.  You lose a great deal of credibility that way.  Either do it - or shut the fuck up.

I own multiple sp30s and spondoolies is shipping every day now.

It takes some time to build ~1000 4.5TH miners.

It was obvious from the first day that groupbuy units would not be the first ones shipped in August.

There is frankly still a lot of time left in August and unlike other companies, spondoolies doesn´t only ship on the last few days of a month.

I am a little confused about the voltage posts.
Do I need to find out if my voltage is actually 208V, 220V/230V or 240V since electricians seem to just throw around the number that suits them when speaking of 110/120, 220/240V and 460V?    Would the SP30 actually perform worse if the answer is 208V?

True enough.  I know for a cold hard fact that those drunken Swedes spend the entire month of August throwing up in the streets of Stockholm.  Nobody is getting a Neptune until after Sept 1.  So, at least Spondoolies has some chance of getting some work done if a rocket doesn't hit them first.

No.  208 is fine.  220 is fine.  240 is fine.  You don't need to know which it is.  The power supply will figure it all out for you and work great at any of these inputs.  You just can't expect good performance at 120V, 110V, et cetera.

'Shipping at the same time' - is total bullshit.

Go place an order for Bitmain HW and tell me what the shipping date is.

Go place an order for SP-Tech and tell me what the shipping date is.

Conclusion: STFU.

Thank you for the good advice.  However, I am pleased to inform you I already did that test.  Now, my DC is full of Bitmain hashing away.  Meanwhile, all I've got are negative performance reports (70% of spec Hashrate) and shipping delays coming out of Tel Aviv.
Now, who should shut the fuck up?

Well, if you weren't such a mouth breathing idiot you'd realize that Collider is talking about making an order today not a couple weeks ago when you ordered that one S3, or months ago when you placed your imaginary order for a SP30.
