I was hoping you guys were going to be different than the other manufacturers, but, now that I'm just getting canned responses 3 days before the products are supposed to ship I know I was wrong.

Think about the situation you're putting your consumers in.  It doesn't instill much faith when even YOU don't know (or won't tell us) if the product will ship 72 hours before they're supposed to.  THAT is poor management.

Just shut up and ask for a refund. Or do you not want one ? You must be off your medication or due for a snort every time  you start complaining. It is not like they are not compensating or denying refunds.

Been mining since 2011 and SP-Tech is the best manufacturer  in the BTC mining business today.No other manufacturer today can match their customer service and how fairly they treat their customers. 100% guarantee.

Just be reasonable dude.

Mute for you.

Reasonable is providing your customers with updates.  You're all so used to getting bent over you think shitty business practices are acceptable.  Enjoy the rest of your life not standing up for yourself.  Glad to live in a world where I can speak my mind.

If you cannot do anything why can't you simply refund me? That would make life more easier!

The only draw back with SPTech is the lack of definite shipping dates and this still has  not changed since my order. That is the only thing I would fault them with at this time.
Unlike other companies which build, mine, sell and ship (from the mine) we only build and ship.
It's very hard to guarantee definite times when you first need to build. The miners has many parts beside ASICs, which all of them need to arrive on time.
We're going through hoops to be able to ship within a month period. Until now it always succeeded.

Why don't you stand up for yourself by taking a refund instead of complaining ? I have stood up for myself and have been treated fairly. Still suffering from burn marks from KNC though.

They are a fair company.

Yes I appreciate that Guy I was happy with delivery it was on time as promised although I still wanted a more definitive timeline for the shipment. My refund came on time. My units worked exceptionally well and when I sold them as I said before they held their value extremely well. More than I thought they would and they sold immediately.

All consumers really want some more specific dates or times or minimally a 2 or 3 shipping window in advance. Just the nature of the consumer wants and needs it is clear that you guys do the best you can but that won't stop people from wanting a better estimate on shipping.

Dear Customers,

We are extremely happy to be shipping the first batch of the SP31.

To build the SP31, we were able to improve the performance of our 2nd generation ASIC (“RockerBox”). We’ll continue to push the envelope and improve the ASIC further in next batches.

Testing of the new units resulted in the following modifications to the original specifications:

•   The SP20 will reach the expected 1.7TH/s +- 5%. Current power draw measurements show usage of 1.2kW with 90% efficiency PSU
•    The hash rate of the SP31 will be 4.9TH/s +- 5%. Power consumption will remain the same 3kW at the wall as in the previous SP30.
•   The current results are expected to affect the specifications of the SP35 as well with units currently under test showing 5.5TH/s +- 5% using 3.65kW at the wall.

Ever since the launch of our first product in March we have been pushing the boundaries of power efficiency and quality of design, to make sure our customers have access to the best technology available. We are proud to have continued to do so with the SP31 and SP35.

Our commitment to our customers is as it has always been: to preserve the USD per GH/s ratio that was promised to them. We will compensate all customers for the difference in hash rate based on preserving the USD per GH/s ratio of the original deal.

As with previous batches, delivery dates will not be affected by these changes

We remain at your disposal for any concerns or questions and we look forward to continue serving you in the future.

Best Regards,

Guy

Sounds good.  I got this in email form.   Did not get an email stating that my product is shipping.  Is this the email indicating so?

What happened to 5.5 TH for SP31?

Will there be a price adjustment as with the SP30?

This is unfortunate (5.5Ths advertised rate) ... yet again I have per-ordered a machine that will under-perform from the advertised rate.

Granted, Sponds you will be fair and offer compensation for the Ghs shortfall (not that any details about this were issued?), but we really are seeing history being repeated again, and again.

Guy, I wonder why you base your business model on raising hype, and then under performing and having to compensate ... Your silence until today about specs had already alerted me.

I've waited for the SP35 results, as explained.

We'll improve RockerBox a bit in future batches, but it won't be able to achieve 200 GHs in the SP35 form factor, due to various limiting factors.
In the SP20 form factor, each RB gives above 200 GHs

It's been and still very intensive month.

Folks,  be grateful that Spondoolies are not a bunch of lying thieving tossers like some other companies in this business we all know.

I will add that our estimations on RB and systems preformance were honest. It wasn't a deliberate tactic. I did learn a lesson here.

We also found the root cause, which we'll make sure not to repeat on future gens. I'm sorry that I'm vague here.

We'll start another round of refunds (and complete the first one, we have problems with small number of international wires) soon.

should work on the underpromise/overdeliver model a bit. By comparison, almost every single bitmain product has been capable of acheiving 10% over spec
S1: 180->200GH
S2: 1TH->1.15TH
S3: 440GH->500GH
S4: 2TH->2.2TH

24" PCI-E cables with 16AWG wires and stripped ends - great for server PSU mods, best prices https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=563461

Not the S3+'s that I have: #1 452 GH/s, #2 460, #3 501, #4 477, #5 458, #6 478.  So good but spec was 453 and only one unit of the six can do 500, room temp 18C.

The three SP10's I have are very solid, right now running at 1426, 1427, 1440, they go from 1390 when it's warm up to 1440 when it's cold.

I would describe Spondoolies as delivering a Mercedes experience for which you pay a premium.  Bitmain has been great about delivering stuff fast and cheap, and I loved the S1 and S3, but they had huge quality problems with the S2 and S4.

Spondoolies also provides top notch customer support, I bricked one of the SP10's on day one and they had me up and running over Skype chat in just a few hours.

SP30 is shipping in the next 48... aren't you all 'off' from Friday until Sunday?

this seems to imply that the sp20 is somehow not ready for shipping - is that accidental or even accurate?

Next 24h is still Thursday and Friday morning the Postal Service (http://www.israelpost.co.il/) still works.

DHL  (http://www.dhl.co.il/en/express/shipping/find_dhl_locations.html) .. should be the same.
