I think that will be the better options for Rolly Romero now, of course a Ryan Garcia fight will be a block for him and his camp. Eventhough Ryan has lost his fight against Tank Davis, he is still one of the most bankable star and that's why everyone is still wanting to fight him including Romero.

But I guess WBA did him a favor here by ordering a Davies mandatory fight. Ohara is a solid 140 lbs and his name could be one of those who might reign in this division in the future. So it make sense for the WBA to order Romero and see how tough he is before calling out other 140 lbs fighters including Ryan (yes, I think Ryan will move up to 140 lbs in his next fight).

I'd say WBA really did him a favor because he will be stagnant if ever he will wait for Garcia until he is ready because we know that Garcia might have to lay low first in the next couple of months before having a fight for himself which I think will be a tune-up first, so a fight with this Ohara Davis will really make Romero more ready and busy, on the other hand, he might have some opportunities down the road if he continue to be active.

Romero's camp should be prepared about what could happen next for Romero because after all, they are not that kind of beginners in this industry who should be informed about what could be the next and also, they are under Mayweather who is under Al Haymon's guidance. So they shouldn't be shocked about this mandatory fight as almost every boxer is and was having it even if they just have finished their fight recently. He should be grateful because he is still garnering some fights even after that controversial win he got.

Yeah right, and for sure with fight's coming they are making decent profits so they should be preparing just in case a mandatory will be ordered for him and he will be fighting before that fight against Garcia, we might see another fight for the kid a cherry pick one before taking the title match, or maybe they can push this one if the price is right. The organization and both camps will be negotiating if they will see the potential for more money to come.

I think that is a fair assessment. Canelo lost in their fight, and now he needs to redeem himself. Although Bivol wasn't as well-known at that time, defeating Canelo brought him recognition and he is currently enjoying his newfound popularity. As a result, Bivol has the leverage to negotiate with Canelo, who is eager for a rematch. I believe a 60/40 split in favor of Bivol would be reasonable. Hopefully, Canelo will not be overly greedy and agree to those terms, and if he can, he should strive to defeat Bivol.

First time hearing that Bivol wants to get super middleweight belts and go to lower weight division. That is absurd, because he still dont have all the best in light heavyweight division So what is the reason for Bivol to jump from division to division, when he still did not "unlock all achievements" in one And the only reason imho why Canelo would go to light heavyweight is to avenge his loss. He wont go there just to change division, as there are no opponents in super middleweight anymore, he would go only to face Bivol.

Canelo should focus on super middleweight, as he wasnt that dominant against John Ryder, and everyone though it would be cherry picked opponent and easy fight, while Ryder gave him a good fight.

I think the only reason why Bivol will go down to super middleweight is that if Canelo will stake his belt on that division. However, in the beginning Canelo says yeah it's possible, nevertheless he back tracks because he knows that his critics are going to give him unfavorable opinion saying that he weight drain Bivol and fight at his best weight class, no doesn't makes sense for them to fight at 168 lbs. So if there is a rematch, it will be at 175 lbs because logic says that is the first fight at Light Heavyweight. And of course, take's Bivol belt and become another 4x weight class champion. From 154-175 lbs.

I'm not really sure if the rematch with Bivol is assured though, perhaps there are still the money split and other that needs to be negotiated, although it's a easy negotiation since Bivol is under the same promotional banner with Canelo, Matchroom Boxing.

I do agree that the weight might be an issue or at least they are not in agreement where they should fight. But for me, make at light-heavyweight, no ifs and no buts, but let Canelo go up again in 175 lbs because he has done it before.

That sounds like a lot of money but i don't think Team Canelo would take that bait. Benavidez is a risky opponent for him at this stage of his career, he is getting older and with that lose some steps that Benavidez's camp might want to take advantage and if indeed they could get Canelo to fight them and beat him in the process then he could replace Canelo as Mexico's biggest star in boxing.

I think he would go for the rematch with Bivol at the LHW division after his fight with Ryder, not for the unification belt that he holds now as it would be a lose-lose situation for him if he do that.

Most likely this is the case for most boxers nowadays and they don't want some glory or merit anymore they are always being practical not to give their competitors a chance to get their current popularity because if there are some nice offers out there but have major risk, they are avoiding it right away and in today's boxing, we only see a few who will take that offer without hesitations to prove himself that he can beat anybody just like what we have seen with the Garcia vs Davis fight, there was no drama, they quickly made it possible because they both took the risk and as we have seen, obviously Davis have the upper hand but Garcia took his chance anyway. that's the real boxer you have right there.

Pick your fight, I think both will be very entertaining. One women's fight with 4 titles on the line and the other fight, a boxer who came back from his deep rest, we don't know if he still has the moves but I think he will show some of his skills because he is aiming for the title again.

I think Canelo can accept both fight since Bivol's rematch will be possibly happen in Light Heavyweight divsions while Benavidez will be on 168 lbs ( super middle weight) I do not think that there wil be conflict of interest here since even if Canelo losses against Bivol, he still retain his belt since it is not staked on their fight @ light heavyweight division.  

In terms of profit, accepting both fights is very possible but obviously it depends on the promoter of Canelo if they will accept the offer of Benavidez.

This is an interesting fight, would Broner have this ring rust in their fight? It was more than two years since he last stepped on the ring. Well, I think he will definitely start to re-think about his upcoming decisions because a $40-50 Million is already a huge paycheck and that is a guaranteed money. I don't know what's up with the Benavidez's camp for making this kind of offer but they truly have the balls and dedication for bringing this offer up just to give David the chance to fight Canelo in the same ring and a chance to be the new undisputed champion, and they seem confident about it too.

Alvarez’s biggest rivalry made him the most money, was with Gennadiy Golovkin. In the first fight, Alvarez earned $40 million and in the second fight, it was $30 million. The biggest fight payday of Alvarez came in the trilogy fight between him and GGG in which he took home $45 million.

I agree with that because for $50M Canelo will put all his effort for the match and he will try his best to win the fight against Benavidez. But, I still think that the guy won't be able to win this match because if he accepts the deal the match will be one of the most horrifying matches of the history. On the other hand if the guy still plays well against David Benavidez then he will be remembered for the victory over such a strong opponent.

I agree with that because for $50M Canelo will put all his effort for the match and he will try his best to win the fight against Benavidez. But, I still think that the guy won't be able to win this match because if he accepts the deal the match will be one of the most horrifying matches of the history. On that note, if Canelo will agree to that secure money and manage to win against the aggressiveness of Benavidez, I'm sure he will be remembered as one of the toughest fighter and if after that fight he will climb back and call for a rematch against Bivol if by chance he won that time, then it will be added to his achievements.

The decision will be depends on how Canelo and his camp will secure his future career, knowing how strong and aggressive Benavidez was. I know for sure they will discuss and assess their chances.

A non-title bout that's why maybe it was unrecognized.

As per my research, it was PH Daniel Nicolas' first fight abroad while Japan's Fujita already pulverized and beaten two Filipinos in his career. Both are undefeated. They are fighting at the 125 lbs, close to the Featherweight Division.

Maybe these bouts are their stepping stones for those 4 major boxing organizations to recognize them and be ranked. Am I right there?

I'm not familiar with other title belts that these major organizations hold. For example:

World Boxing Organization (WBO) Oriental Youth Featherweight - Daniel Nicolas
World Boxing Council (WBC) Asian Silver super featherweight - Virgel Vitor (the next one to Nicolas that will have a match abroad)

Mark Magsayo eyes September or October return in new division

Former WBC Featherweight Champion Mark Magsayo might return to the ring in September or October, and guess what, not in the 126 lbs division anymore as he seems struggling at that weight and loses twice here, against Rey Vargas and Brandon Figueroa. He will now move up to the 130 lbs division - Super Featherweight/Junior Lightweight.

The plan to move up was confirmed by MP Promotions President Sean Gibbons and Magsayo himself already tweet his desire regarding that.

Crazy. Why would he do that? Even if he is one of the top in the market he could not just bail like that and try to be on vacation. According to reports he bought a penthouse in Baltimore and because of the piles of money he made with the Garcia versus Davis fight, he might be itching to use it and spend on vacation like a king. Well, he should try being a king behind bars now because of what he did. From a planned vacation to prison.
He is just giving himself more problems, now how he could train if there's a next fight that is coming, I bet he will rust for some time and they won't try to take any challenges unless it's WBA ordered.

Ryan Garcia seems to be dramatic too after his lost against Davis.
