Yeah, now that he's even on penalty duty, Haaland is a must pick. I will reshuffle in order to get him, I'm in too good position so far without him but I feel I've pushed my luck a bit too far.

I actually expected him to have a great game today, United played with a pairing of Maguire and Evans. I think that Trofo and myself would have gotten a few goals against that defence in our prime.

I knew I had to give him captain band, but Salah had an easier fixture and great form coming into this round so I went with stats rather then gut feeling. Still a good enough week for me, so not gonna complain too much.

Congratz! So if I did captain Haaland as I'd usually do I woulda won this week, taking mental notes for future rounds

Thanks for the insight and didn't expect him to perform as good as he did thinking this was going to be one of those fixtures that Haaland blanks like he did last week... and had to reassign captain duties to another player which sacks because the Norwegian is among the highest scoring in this gameweek  and missed out on these extra valuable points

I kinda phrased it incorrectly. Last season City had 3 penalty takers - Haaland, Mahrez and Alvarez. I actually feel Alvarez takes them better than Haaland.
Haaland's got a good success ratio - but the same as Salah - I'm never convinced when he steps up to take it.

Considering that Haaland missed the first penalty of the season and Alvarez is a starter now, I felt there's a chance that he'll be the team's first penalty taker if Haaland misses one of the next penalties as well. Haaland has now scored 3 in a row, so I feel he'll remain the main guy even if he misses the next one.

Such a pity some unexpected player absentees but I guess Diaz playing might not have allowed Nunez to shine so much.

Nkunku will be back on GW16 but I'm worried the Chelsea curse will hit him too.

Chelsea will still need to get a goal scorer and goalkeeper at the next opportunity. They look good in every other position except these two. Nkunku cannot be trusted to remain injury free for long, the man can get injured even in training and be out for weeks.

I vice captained Palmer, I expected him to score against Brentford and have a great GW. It did not go as planned but I do not regret it as my former choice of vice captain Bruno Fernandes played even more poorly in the the derby game against city.

thanks guys for the congratulations, i really didn't think that i would ever win a matchday in this competition, especially since i don't go through the upcoming pairings week by week and therefore change my squad accordingly
i scored the 84 points with 10 players - Trippier was the only one who didn't score any points this time

I thought i'll go down a few spots in the rankings once again but the automatic substitution saved me from losing a few points after one of my five midfielders didn't start.

Same here, I always have Haaland as my captain and recently removed it because he's been getting not many points these past couple of rounds and now I missed 9-10 points for picking a different captain.

Having two free transfers, I gave up Haaland in favor of Jesus and a top Leverpool defender.

Jesus got injured and I had to use -4 to attract Alvarez. In addition, I have Digne... the guy who was the most active and who should have received 3 bonus points. As a result, Aston Villa got an own goal, and as luck would have it, Cash was replaced before (which ruined my mood even more). But I found a way out of the situation... I will bet money on Mitoma or Saka scoring a goal in the next game week. If this happens then I will get money, if not... you guys will not get points (and I will double every time until this happens).

If KDB is on the pitch, Alvarez and others are out of the PK picture. If Halaand is ever unsure about taking a PK, he will always pass it over to KDB, but I doubt the robocop will ever push PK away.

Harkorede – I was planning on having another toe-to-toe with you this season after kicking your a$$ to fifth place prize last season, but you're deep in the relegation zone, and I'm likely to expand my lead to 100 points this weekend. If you still think we're early in the season, we're nearing the end of the first leg games.

Finished top 200k last season, I'm aiming for top 100k this season.

I made terrible decisions last week but that not withstanding, thanks for the update. Also, some heads up, I used my WC so you can change the status in the next update. The one time I bet against Haaland and picked Son, he was the star of the show against Man Utd. I wonder what happened ro the talks about Haaland going missing in  big games

If KDB is on the pitch, Alvarez and others are out of the PK picture. If Halaand is ever unsure about taking a PK, he will always pass it over to KDB, but I doubt the robocop will ever push PK away.

Not quite sure - KDB took the last penalty for City a couple of years ago. The last one I recall was saved by Alisson.
I feel Alvarez would be the second in line now that Mahrez is gone.

City's entering a tough period as well - not the best of times to go for City assets. I still wanna do it though.

I couldn't update the boosts in the score board now. I will share an updated score board or edit my first post in 2 days by updating the boosts used. The risk of going on without Haaland has been going on really well for me so far. However his scoring 2 goals against Man Utd and my winning only 4 points from my 2 forward players on the same week finished me off.

This season is just impossible to have all the players we want in our team. You have to go without someone and two that I am missing at the moment are Saka & Watkins. Simply no way to get them into my team without sacrificing too much. I will probably downgrade Trippier down the the line and take Saka at some point but Watkins can't get into my team without selling Alvarez and I don't feel like doing that since I started the game with Alvarez and I have a lot of money invested in him.
