Here's a modified paste from someone in IRC about how they fixed their mac problems. Credit goes to n0tskerd from freenode since these are basically his words, and I suck at OSX. make sure your VeriCoin client is closed
back up wallet.dat
completely remove everything VeriCoin out of /Applications and delete the /VeriCoin folder in the Application Support directory
put the NEW VeriCoin-Qt.app in /Applications
put the vericoin.conf and bootstrap.dat in the required /VeriCoin folder in Application Support
let the client sync, shut it down, restore your wallet.dat from backup

Have deleted the wallet twice and still can't get past the bootstrap screen.
delete the blocks also and re download the blockchain again. |

Don´t know, if related or useful, but I also read something about a console command "repairwallet", which some people used to fix their wallet problems. Though I believe it was rather for fixing balances. |

A reminder, If you are buying or selling coins on an exchange to use caution when storing them for long times.
Please try to keep coins on your personal wallets as much as possible! We have one of the best distribution in crypto with the top 2 coin holders having a combined less than 5% outside of the exchanges, which hold coin for many investors.
Outside of the top 1,000 we are seeing a lot more vericoin in those wallets which is a veri good sign.

I have send VRC forth and back to the Android wallet and I must say I am astound how intuitive it works.
Did both transfers in a jiffy. Only point that I have to bring in is that I find the fee of 0.05 VRC a bit too much, especially if you realise that this is still in beta testing phase.

Did both transfers in a jiffy. Only point that I have to bring in is that I find the fee of 0.05 VRC a bit too much, especially if you realise that this is still in beta testing phase.
android wallet is fully functioning and it is still in a beta stage , we have more improvements in the up coming days. |

It might be to discourage people attacking the system in some way, while its being beta tested. |
