It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Q

Try this:

-Take an empty btc wallet.dat (from Bitcoin client or other) and place it in your clam roaming folder.

-In clam wallet go to console and import your private key

-Close the client.

-Create a shortcut of your Clam-qt client

-Go to proprieties and put --salvagewallet at the line end in target.

-Start the wallet with the shortcut you created

It worked for me with blockchain.info account

I use my doge wallet.dat replace the clam wallet.dat, but can not open the clam client.

(1)  replace clam wallet.dat with doge, ltc, btc wallet.dat

(2)  from command line run "clam-qt.exe --salvagewallet"

(3)  THEN you run clam client from desktop

The wallet can be empty...
You get Clams for addresses used pre-May 2014 = Proof-of-Chain.

This is probably the fairest IPO distribution method I've seen...
And it also results in only about 1,000,000 coins being redeemed.

A Clam is now worth about $3.00...
So you get 4.6 x $3.00 = $13.50 for scanning any wallet.

All clams sent to my wallet never show up, and the mining part is super opaque/non transparent and has not paid out either. Does this mean all the clams I bought on poloniex are vanished in transaction?

Withdrawals from poloniex.com disappear... whelp, that sucked.

How did you get 9.2?
So, is it if you have 2 addresses with some doge in it, you get more coins?

No, if your wallet was very active you get more. I got 7X the normal coins for my DOGE wallet (32) but only the standard 4.6 for my LTC wallet which had 5-10 transactions.

Just add "--salvagewallet" (no quotes, with a space separating what is already there) to the end in the field.

The source code says it's -salvagewallet with a single dash.

It works whether you use one dash or two.

I just imported a dogecoin wallet.

Soon after the -salvagewallet finished, I used 'clamd getbalance' to show my balance - there were some clams in there.

I waited half an hour for more of the blockchain to sync, checked again, and my balance had decreased.

What's that about?

Edit: I guess 'getbalance' defaults to showing confirmed balance, and I had staking enabled, which made some of my clams go unconfirmed?

I like the way this is trading...
No real dumping and decent 10-20 BTC/day volume.

This could get interesting as more people scan their wallets every day.

Indeed, coins involved in, and created by, a coinStake transaction/block do not show up in getbalance until they have reconfirmed.

If you would like to limit this, you can set a "reservebalance" or set staking to false entirely.

Will have to check into the double dash; I would have swore the double dash was required but it wouldn't be the first FUBAR I had made.

By the way, thankful to see a member with some clout involved in CLAMS.
You are always welcome.
