Any movement on the Whitepaper yet?

Whilst branded product giveaways are fun they don't exactly tackle the criticisms and concerns people are expressing about this coin, namely, that it is lacking substance and is simply an extremely well-marketed series of promises.

Were you to actually have a technically superior implementation of this coin's features, one that was demonstrably so by way of a Whitepaper that describes the back-end processes with the same degree of accomplishment as you market the front-end, this coin would have inherent value that would lift it out of the quagmire it has been sitting in for quite some time now, well, quite some time in cryptocurrency-land anyway.

WARNING!!! Check your forum URLs carefully and avoid links to phishing sites like 'thebitcointalk' 'bitcointalk.to' and 'BitcointaLLk'

Yup, we need a technical whitepaper detailing the entanglement engine. I think they are working on it.

Very sorry for the delay in getting the whitepaper out. The guys were a little caught up with the Father's day and other personal matters last couple of days. Sumgye will post an ETA on when we can have the whitepaper as soon as he wakes up. Thanks for being amazingly patient Smiley

"We" don't need hype... "You" need hype.

You decided to invest knowing there would be absolutely no hype right? We made that clear plenty of times. There are plenty of other coins that thrive on hype... I don't understand why you leave all that and insist on pink joining the bandwagon. The way I see it, you're asking for advertisements and promises for faster than ever horse carriages, while we're discussing aerodynamics and engine efficiency of the cars that are yet to hit the roads. I'm sorry.... we just don't have the inclination to cater to your narrow field of vision.  Roll Eyes

All the members of the dev team are pretty decent holders of pink. And remember... these are people who were originally there from the start... through the times when pink was 8-15 sats. Even selling now is like a 5x profit. But no one is bothering because they all know where this coin is going with or without hype. The price will follow the features, not the hype. We work with a bit of integrity around here.

With the current timeline I'm working to, I should have the rough draft done by tomorrow or Tuesday, that'll get sent over to our art guy for the visual aids while I get going on the revisions for the final draft. In all honesty, we're probably looking at Thursday or Friday to have that done.

It's worth noting, this isn't just a slap-dash 'here's basically how it works' thing. We've done that, more than once. This is a whitepaper, including research, references, and detailed technical information. Anyone looking for a general understanding is invited to take a look at this post I made while the project was still in development:

Thanks.

Perhaps its not worht anything, but for the techical guys its worth a lot.
I support the Pink community 100% but some stuff needs to be done to make PINK to achieve its rights value, right now it is so undervalued. It has reasons, mostly because of the whitepaper really needs to be done and what is happening behind the anon transaction needs to be fully explained to make people understand why the anon transaction is 100% anon, and not fake.

Cheers and keep up the good work.

I think you misread. He said "it's worth noting", not "it's worth nothingGrin

Very nice! I think you guys are heading the right direction. It is important to show that PINK is serious about it's role as a currency and an asset. It is really nice to have charity efforts and other stuff incorporated but one shall not forget what this is really about. It is supposed to serve as a money and sometimes as an investment (in the early stages).

Looking forward to the final versions.

Going to try and follow in the mighty footsteps of the mysterious Owl. I am in the process of emailing any potential crypto currency friendly businesses to be able to use AltAccept.com and PinkCoin as payment method. Lets go #PINKARMY anything you can think of doing that is beneficial is going to benefit us all. You never know where the next great idea for implementation will come from so do what you can when you can. Also tip of the hat to Boxxa that wallet looks awesome #:SNKY.

It is what it is: The first coin I have found that complies with the basic requirements plus some other considerations. Hopefully, there will be others. But at least 98% -probably more- do not.

What you choose to make of that fact, just like what you choose to think of me, is not of my incumbence.
