Create account on https://hitbtc.com/Then use simplewallet command to transfer your aeon to hitbtc exchange: transfer [mixin_count] [addr_1] [amount_1] [payment_id] for example: transfer 3 YOUR_EXCHANGE_WALLET_AEON_ADDRESS 10 YOUR_EXCHANGE_AEON_PAYMENT_ID from there you can trade your aeon to btc on hitbtc.

EXCHANGE_PAYMENT_ID is hitbtc aeon wallet? true? Payment ID is like a identification, so the exchange knows its you who sent the money to a specific wallet address. When you check your wallet address on an exchange, you will see your wallet address and optionally a payment id. Some exchanges use payment id and some not. if an exchange does NOT require payment id to receive fund: transfer 3 YOUR_EXCHANGE_WALLET_AEON_ADDRESS 10 if exchange does require payment id to receive fund: transfer 3 YOUR_EXCHANGE_WALLET_AEON_ADDRESS 10 YOUR_EXCHANGE_AEON_PAYMENT_ID In case of hitbtc i can not remember if it uses a payment id, does someone know?

Hitbtc deposits need only wallet address. To withdraw AEON need payment id and wallet address.

hmm I wonder, is it possible to mine AEON with gpu as monero?
for monero there are several miners and they are seem working good
I stopped mining aeon, because difficulty of mining increased. This is due to the price increase for the last few days, many miners appeared new If the price falls I'll start to mining. And what are you going to use to get it? What do you use for mining?

This is my first the mining experience. need help.. You need to wait for it to sync. It has to download the data for a couple of years or more (as long as AEON has existed). This may take several hours depending on your computer and internet connection. This is normal, all coins that have client side wallets have to sync the wallet in order to use it. Aeon Pool pays out every 0.5 Aeon by default, you won't get anything until that amount is reached.... and it won't show up until the aeon daemon and simple wallet are synched. Don't even open simplewallet until the AEON Daemon is synched completely and it gives you the message that you may now open simplewallet.

Yes, depending on your hardware and internet it can certainly take more than 24 hours even.

Hitbtc deposits need only wallet address. To withdraw AEON need payment id and wallet address. Please do not try to confuse the newbies in the thread. HitBTC does not need the payment_id for deposits and withdrawals. Their wallet was set up the same as any other cryptocoin's wallets. All you need is put the amount and the public address. Talking about HitBTC, Aeon's daily average volume is improving.

Good news about Reddit's progress update report. As I mentioned earlier, I would be happy to help test whether it's mining or testing wallet functions, trading, etc if needed.

hi! last week i wrote to the support of bittrex.com
my question was "Hello! how long AEON's wallet will be inactive? Are there some problems with AEON network? This is still working well on hitbtc.com."
and they gave me an answer "Hi, we are still waiting for the dev team for fixes to their code. You should contact the dev team for more accurate updates on when they will fix this."
what is this about? why the developers can't fix issues?

But i think without any action from devs we can't develop it. Network's hashrate is growing up every day. This currency is very profitable now for miners. But i don't see any action from devs. No information on twitter, on the Internet... No stable wallet. this phrase from devs " It’ll be done when it is done. I’m not going to make promises on delivery schedule of a volunteer-driven project." isn't so happy.

Announcements or promises just lead to fluffygates. You can not define a fix timeshedule for programming results. Even big companies in real life struggle with programming timeshedules, see reason why agile exists. For a long time the core dev of aeon was alone. And since he was busy with monero and aeon programming, he has no time for marketing and community engagement. We grow each day and soon there will be a reorganisation/roadmap needed for aeon in my opinion to make a clear structure. We have many talented devs lately in reddit, who offer to help with the code rebase. Even if there is no noise, aeon is making progress. Some community member are developing mobile wallets, some are enhancing pool websites and so on. Real tech makes slow and steady progress. its never done over night. Aeon follows moneros way and lets tech speak for itself. We do not make huge marketing campaign on the internet or social platforms every week like shitcoins. Is my view trustworthy? Who knows, everyone can make their own opinion on it. Only time will tell if im wrong or right;) Aeon isn't a cryptocurrency. It's a lifestyle. EDIT: Additional Comment: Why waste our limited ressources to update the old wallet if we can use those ressources towards improving the code for the future? So we have a clean setup and can take over monero features/tools more easily

Original AEON was forked from Monero.
Why we couldn't take fresh Monero release and fork it again - the same way as it was done initially?

Most likely thats the case right now. But since AEON is not just a straight clone of monero, it needs many adjustments in the code. Aeon uses a different algo than monero. Thats what i can say from my experience in adjusting cryptonote pool to aeon.
