XEM is an innovative Crypto Commodity that is built to test the EigenTrust++ Algorithm which introduces a Proof of Importance Algorithm that allows you to increase your importance on the Network by making Transactions to Accounts that are deemed Important or also just making Transaction to many different people.

Just curious, is there anything wrong with the network? Today on Poloniex someone from the NEM team showed up in the shoutbox asking to speak to Busoni (one of the main people of Poloniex) in private on irc and now the Nemtrader.com Nodes (13 of them) and one dev Node (Alice) have been rebooted.
Just to be clear, I am just asking and not implying that there is anything wrong.

No worries, I was experimenting with a new script and fscked up so I had to reboot nemtrader nodes. apologies

i have no idea how you guys in even your wildess imagination think it'll succeed to be honest. a hard enough sell to crypto enthusiast to the world outside snow balls chance in hell imho

Nonsense. how can that be nonsense, its my experience i'm expressing, you can't call someone elses experience non sense. problem with these coins, is people have their hearts set on them working that they are willing to look over so many factor just cause they want it to work. now some questions; how many conformation needed for the transfer to appear at the other end? also when sending to an exchange is txt required?

1) no confirmations needed, the other end should see the transaction even if it is still unconfirmed. 2) depends on the exchange i guess, poloniex for example needs an id pasted into the message field of the transaction.

solution for "NIS is not available"?
You have to give a little more information. You got your own NIS running locally or do you connect to a remote NIS? What version are you running, what OS you got?

Nonsense. +100000000000 It is indeed a nonsense fudster. Not that I'm against Nxt but my worst experience was with the Nxt client and other stuff. Many people had problems especially the non-tech-savvy ones. Nem is sooooo much easier, quicker (you don't need to download a mega blockchain cos you can connect to a third party node) and more userfriendly to newbies than some other coins out there. Transaction show up within seconds, the wallet (ok I don't like the picture on the splash screen) is very easy to setup and navigate. I actually like the fact that you need to send a message to 1 Nem address to Polo, because you can generate everytime a new message if you want to keep your anonymity + I consider messages to be actually free since you're sending money anyway to the recipient.

As much as I support NEM, i do think it's important to not be entirely dismissive of criticism, even that of which may appear as fud or trolling (Lets face it, fudsters are pretty easy to spot when all they contribute is consistent negativity in their post history) I do think NEM could benefit from more simplification and ease of use, but the same can be said for all crypto's -- crypto in general does have a massive hurdle to overcome in this field and it would be hugely beneficial to NEM if it were the first to accomplish it.

Everyone is very much aware of most of the issues that are being raised. The thing is that there is a huge difference between saying "Hey, this could be a lot more user friendly" and "Wow, this is the worst thing that has every happend to me". Usability of NCC really does still need quite a bit of work. That's prob also one of the reasons everything that is needed to work on it was open-sourced. So others can join the development and help make it better instead of constantly nagging. Also the mobile app will prob go a long way to make the simple things more convenient.

What problems or difficulties are you facing with nem? I'm not facing any. I'm simply trying to view things from an outsiders perspective. Someone who's not tech savvy and certainly not crypto-savvy. Otherwise i do think the NEM client is far more user friendly then most currencies out there. I just think there's always room for improvement as this is precisely the rut cryptocurrency as a whole is stuck in; people not being able to use it because of the knowledge/usability barriers. Everyone is very much aware of most of the issues that are being raised. The thing is that there is a huge difference between saying "Hey, this could be a lot more user friendly" and "Wow, this is the worst thing that has every happend to me". Yeah. I've genuinely not had a single problem running NEM myself (And if I have, it's either been Linux-ignorance related or a due to Java itself) And even then those were sorted out easily with a bit of reading. The mobile app will really help a great deal i think. In fact i'll be eager to try it out myself.

Well I'm certainly not tech savvy and wouldn't want to peek at the source code or setup an own node The nem client is easy to install, but I think you mean that better organised documentations adn tutorials should be written for example how to setup delegated harvesting. From my experience the support from the "tech-savvy people" is excellent. A mobile app is indeed a must, but I think they are or will be working on it.

The mobile app will be really good step up for NEM, We are looking for it!

www.iotatoken.com https://twitter.com/iotatokenIota is a brand new and novel micro-transaction cryptotoken optimized for the Internet-of-Things (IoT). Unlike the complex and heavy blockchains of Bitcoin and the like, which were designed with other uses in mind, Iota is created to be as lightweight as possible, hence the name "Iota" with emphasis on the ‘IoT’ part.

I just want to say thank you to the NEM devs. You guys really created a coin what lets everyone earn. I startet with 0.2 NEMStakes (around 450k XEM) and I have harvested almost 11k in fees so far. No other coin gives people the chance to create blocks and earn fees that easy with low investments. Keep it up!
