uray has been missing for a few days, I've tried to reach him with no luck. Lets hope he'll back real soon! Smiley

Hello,

Anyone know what happen to Uray BCPT assets ?

The value as being very low and I didn't get the payout since some days, then on the new web pool interface there is no more the asset session.

Thanks

Fabrizio

this is a good question. i have dumped mine many days ago since burst increased in value.
if burst doubles during the next weeks the current price of the asset needs a correction.
BCPT asset is still paying but at a much smaller scale than before as expected since his pool is having issues so miners have been moving to another pool.

Nxt recently posted in their forums a list of developers and donation addresses... might be nice to send some money to their equivalent Burst accounts as a way of showing our appreciation for the hard work that got Burst to the point of being as awesome as it is and some of it's cool features.  It may also be nice from a PR point of view in that it allows us to introduce some Nxt developers (and the community in general) directly to Burst in a way that generates friendly feelings plus forces them to download the Burst wallet if they want to access their Burst.

https://nxtforum.org/general-discussion/core-dev-recognition-guide-and-donation-addresses/

Keep in mind you remove the "NXT" and replace it with Burst, it becomes a Burst wallet address accessible using the same password.

Example: NXT-4BTE-8Y4K-CDS2-6TB82  -> BURST-4BTE-8Y4K-CDS2-6TB82

What do you think?

Edit:  For that matter, we raise enough, might also make for a nice feel good PR piece...

Yes, Coincapmarkt has now the the correct available supply of coins.

Burst is now on place 61 out of 547 crypto currencies....

http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/views/all/

If we exclude non-mineable and preminded, we are on place 37!!!

Thats great news.

thanks for the info, indeed great news, not so long ago market cap was 70K now it is 220K (3 x) 1 million market cap is not that unreasonable (1 million is low estimate but a good and modest starting point)

btw I saw network capacity briefly touch 18 Peta bytes...

what does the parameter "UseFastRcv" : true,  exactly do?
Is it better on or off?

TCP/IP packets can be divided into several parts with high network load. If there are problems with the reception of data, it is necessary set to "false", if all goes well - "true"

what does ["Generator": false,] do?

does not do anything. Currently, this function does not work (can delete this parameter)

When I run Blago's miner I get this error:

"The program can't start because MSVCR100.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling to fix this problem."

There is a file in the blago folder called msvcr100d.dll though.

Any help is much appreciated, I haven't used blago's miner before.

EDIT: I am currently using uray's miner. Are there any significant performance differences between the two?

Thanks for the input, I am making some headway.

However, now I am getting a windows error after the miner starts:

"miner.exe has stopped working"
>Check online for a solution and close the program
>Close the program
>Debug the program

Anyone have any advice on this?

Can somebody explain why are accounts with no public key unsafe? Its because possible password collision?

Yes, there are infinite passwords that lead to same BURST address ... (thats not really a collision) ... to bind the address to your password a incomming transaction with your public key is needed, after that only your password will work, all others will cause a exception ... that the address is already taken.

PS: you can make a incomming transaction without public key, will work, but wallet will be accessible with all passwords that lead to this address, until you make a outgoing transaction.

I would really like to put my few coins on a paper wallet. Is there a service?

You could just print your passphrase to paper. Maybe as QR-code.

When I run Blago's miner I get this error:

"The program can't start because MSVCR100.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling to fix this problem."

There is a file in the blago folder called msvcr100d.dll though.

Any help is much appreciated, I haven't used blago's miner before.

install visual studio 2010 runtime. x86 and x64

Thanks for the input, I am making some headway.

However, now I am getting a windows error after the miner starts:

"miner.exe has stopped working"
>Check online for a solution and close the program
>Close the program
>Debug the program

Anyone have any advice on this?

I think I found the issue, someone else had the same issue on BurstForum. My passphrase contains special characters, which are translated to text with % symbols abound when submitting.

Is there a way to prevent the miner from converting the special characters and read them as they are? I REALLY do not feel like re-plotting all these drives.

EDIT: Is it possible to simply change the numerical address at the beginning of a plot file to use it with a new address?

Yeah, but might be a thing we could make a bit good locking and user-friendly, like bitcoinpaperwallet.com? Which coins offer paper wallets, btw?

I, of course, only use brain wallets. Every day is exiting wheather you lost your coins or not Wink
