Getting more exposure to the Chinese market would be huge. I remember there was some talk last year regarding China and how there was very little information to people who didn't speak English.
Does anyone have numbers regarding user base by country? Im assuming Monero is mostly United States/ Europe right now.
Really love the community funding business model. Allow people to vote on what they think is best for the project.
If they give enough importance to Assian market, actually Chinese market, this will improve Monero a lot as we all know. But the question is whether the team is able to do this.

Or wants to at this early stage. that is a massive market to get into it before everything is polished for the average user is probably the best bet.

It will take some time to attract the chinese to the XMR forum on 8BTC and build a community, meanwhile some further updates will improve the usability. It is just important to start and I think it is a good way to let XMR grow in China.

Yes the guy (/u/zhizhongzhiwai) who is also is in contact with 8BTC, is a moderator in a chinese Monero chat group and is doing a lot to promote XMR in China. With 48 nodes he seems to do something right as I am sure it is also a result of his contribution.

48 nodes is already huge for XMR market. And the guy you mentioned has been working very hard to promote it. Its just a matter of time before the Chinese will see XMR project and will pump the price really hard. Just for now, we will have to wait and see what the future will bring us.

https://monerohash.com/nodes-distribution.htmlalready 48 Chinese nodes as it seems I think nodes more tells us where Moneros are mined then whee are used. But yes this is only data we could use to see where are most Monero users. But if we just stop at miners, 4% of Moneros being mined in China is a bit low. There should be more in Japan and India also. Being active on such forums, that are tech and crypto foums, will for sure get us more miners from China.

Monero is really good for trading in long term and i would recommed all if you to sell your coins now and wait when it reaches 0.019 or maybe a bit low. Don't purchase it now as there is a very little chance of the price going to moon and the current pump is for ltc so monero holders still have to wait.

Right, Just after I longed LTC and then when I shorted it it ran just a bull! Lol I should have kept the long. Knew it was going to break (been keeping an eye on it) but reversed position to early. All in the name of M0ar Monero.

A small fire and it will light up to daa moooon.
How do you know, are you a clairvoyant? Why always 99% thinking that all cryptos are "going to daa moooon"? Seriously, if a price of 1 XMR today will go at 20$, and will remain for some time, what you gonna do? HODL.... and then probably cry

If you are in for the long term, it really doesn't matter if you get in at 0.019 or 0.02. Attempting this will work most of the time, but one day you'll be left behind without anything and then it's game over, the train will leave without you. Ask the people who were waiting to buy at 0.005.

Monero's privacy and therefore fungibility are MUCH stronger than Bitcoin's. This makes Monero a better candidate to deserve the term "digital cash".

BTW - 1148 as I type - new ATH as far as I have seen. 1149 in a few seconds, as I update mine

No, but I am familiar with Bayesian regression, which optimizes distribution estimates, given certain pre-conditions. Why always 99% thinking that all cryptos are "going to daa moooon"? It is phatic cheerleading. Much less than 99% though. Seriously, if a price of 1 XMR today will go at 20$, and will remain for some time, what you gonna do?
Buy the dip. The longer it stays down, the more I will own.

glad that fundraiser goals were met, more people working on monero full time. not sure if this will affect price as much as currency crisis in certain countries, but this makes me more inclined to HOLD

Real work gets no accolades. Being the best just becomes assumed, people look for the next new glittery thing. Monero just keeps moving forward.

According to my prognosis, the longer the lateral trend lasts, the higher the growth.

Yes, although I would love to see XMR going parabolic I am fine with it at the current price, because it makes it possible for a lot more people to enter XMR at this price, so it makes the distribution even wider. A couple friends of mine have decided to jump on the XMR train in the very next time with some interesting amounts and I hold the thumbs for them they get their XMR before it breaks massively out of the ascending triangle formation and the cup and handle which it is forming over a year now.

I am honestly surprised that it wasn't already popular in china. I mean if anybody needs privacy it would be the Chinese. Regardless, anybody have any idea how it will affect the price?

I sure hope this brings a bit of a boost. Monero seems to have hit a plateau and is struggling to keep up to 50$.
