if you do decide to make the pplns pool, around when would it be up and running?
I'm going away for a few weeks so won't really be working on it in earnest for about 3 weeks (if I go ahead). So likely it's at least a month away still. I have had interest from people out of the forum thread so it's more likely to happen now.

Well I was out drinking last night Restarted the main pool with the same fix just in case, and it gave me an excuse to enable IPV6 support, so now both the main and de pools work on IPV6 as well as IPV4.

I'll never merge mine bullshit coins. Block finder reward in a shared pool really doesn't make any sense since then everyone else simply gets less from a block find so I'll never be doing that either. It'll only be regular and solo pools; don't expect me to go adding a block finder reward. What the new pool will be providing is low fee, high performance, no-frills, no size limit, generation payout, live stats with accurate estimated block rewards. Additionally the payscheme will actually be a weighted score a little like Slush's pool but with a 5xdiff window for payments. This means there will be less variance for long term miners, the payscheme will not be hoppable, and it won't take long for rewards to rise when you first connect since recent shares will be weighted more heavily i.e. trying to get the best of all worlds for a proportional payout (non PPS) scheme.

I check this thread every now and then, and it pleases me to see someone mine a block that doesn't have loads and loads of bitcoins in their wallet.
I hope this block went to someone that needed it!!!!

Guys if I want to try my luck and point some miners from Nicehash at this pool is it better to run at high speed and use my credit quickly or slow it down to make my credit last longer.
For example if I want to spend 0.1BTC I can set the speed to 1 GH/s and my credit will last 36 hours. Or I can set the speed at 3 GH/s and my credit will last 12 hours. Which has the greatest chance to find a block?

im sure this will be answered by a more qualified person.. but.. anything less then 1PH/s is a waste of time.. i hope you meant PH/s and not GH/s or even TH/s also it doesnt matter if its 1PH/s for 36 hours or 3 PH/s for 12 hours.. you get the same chance..

Either you misread, mistyped, or would be getting ripped off (that price will get you hundreds of TH on miningrigrentals). That aside, the answer is that it doesn't matter. 1x for 36 hours and 3x for 12 hours will submit the same number of shares.

If you have to ask "why?", you wouldn`t understand my answer. Always be on the look out, because you never know when you'll be stalked by hit-men that eat nothing but cream cheese....

damn, I thought because it was a relative low hashrate it was somebody that "needed" the block. but you said he has solved many. Let me guess, he's never shared any of the bitcoins? edit yesterday that low hashrate gave me hope that maybe something under 1 PH/s could find a block. I rented 150 T for 24. about 1 hour in it hit me, no way in hell I could hit one and just put it on a pool.
