Way ahead of you, just purchased 3 additional Nano Ledgers while they were 50% off during the black Friday sale. My old one broke, so I definitely needed to buy some more.
Might give one to a friend, it's still in its original packaging.

@Potato Chips That's actually an example of a very bad design error. That 94 dollar answer was NOT upvoted by the Musings account. The poster chose to publish that answer on his Steem blog and then artificially upvoted it with bid bots. That's definitely an issue that needs to be addressed and I'll speak with the dev about that. IMO, people should not be able to publish answers on their personal blog, so they cannot use bid bots to upvote it. It's actually more of a flaw with Steem itself, rather than Musing. Seems a bit odd to me that there's seemingly no place where you can ask questions (like a FAQ) on the site or anything besides answers and notifications to me. Seems like this site was designed with simplicity in mind, but I'm also curious as to how this site makes payments and how much posters can make- how much does a poster make per upvote that he/she gets, and how is this calculated? Doesn't seem terribly clear to me considering I see posts with 19 upvotes making less than a post with 17 upvotes, etc.
They make payments because they have a ton of Steem Power delegated to them from Steemit Inc. Since Steem is DPOS, the size of your upvotes is determined by the amount of Steem Power you have.

Okay, testing it in a few days, I have someone who's willing to test it out, but they're not available at the moment. If you're interested, you can always send a small amount in Bitcoin just for testing purposes. I have no problem using my own money, but it will take a bit longer in that case If you're interested: bc1qltpzzzyglvtqttxe2wk7zdd0njr4u2xt5g4m9x (a couple of dollars would suffice) Then I'd just create another account myself and 'support' myself through your website. I'm not going to put my reputation here on the line to scam you and it's completely up to you anyway. It would just speed up the testing process.

I don't imagine teenagers have +1 BTC to be honest, where would they get them from? Asking their parents to withdraw part of their savings?
Okay, they might have been able to buy some through a holiday job or whatever, but they're teenagers. They probably spend most of that money on other stuff, like a car (in the US) or on a holiday with their friends perhaps.

Which is why many fall victim of scam projects and shit coins.
actually you are wrong. Patience is the reason why so many are falling victim of scam projects. they are fooled into believing that if they buy and "bag hold" but call it patience then they will make a lot of profit. whereas in reality they are bag holding and losing money as prices continue to fall. altcoins are mostly pump and dumps. when you buy into the pump you must sell before the dump begins or you will end up losing 80% or 90% of your investment. just ask thousands of newbies who have been losing that much in the past 9 months because they had "patience"! Couldn't agree more with this statement, but this usually applies to ICOs, not to regular cryptocurrencies that have decent community development going on. I've seen so many people who keep promoting projects, while they obviously have no intention of releasing any sort of product. A lot of these ICOs are just quick money grabs and will disappear once they have their funding.

Aha, great I see it! I'll ask someone tomorrow to test it out, that will probably give you some more info as well Will update soon and report any bugs or issues when I come across them!

This is just my personal opinion, so don't take it as any sort of 'truth'. I think buying mining equipment is not worth it, especially not for me. I'd be paying too much for electricity, so Bitcoin mining would only be profitable if prices were well above $10.000 I don't know how accurate this chart is, but according to this, it wouldn't be a great idea in Belgium (my country) ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2F6MkdAun.png&t=663&c=eF-4kXcjSkIkvQ) Source: https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/9p8dpg/cost_to_mine_bitcoin_as_per_average_electricty/Aside from profitability, I just don't have the space for it. I'd really need a dedicated room for it, just for the noise that these miners make. I'm just sticking with buying BTC.

No problem, the signup process for very straightforward and went without any issues. Do people have the option of setting up recurring payments by depositing a large amount of BTC onto the website? I've signed up as a creator, so I'm not sure if I can see if that works. Also, how do I actually share my page with people?

I think there's no easy way of learning to make correct picks, you basically have to know exactly how the games work and you need to know intricate details about the players/teams. I've made some successful picks in the past, on Starcraft for example, just because I'd been following one particular player while he was trying to move up the ladder.
I'd noticed that his game seemed a little bit off and decided to bet against him when he was playing against a slightly weaker opponent. My gut feeling ended up being correct, since I made a nice profit from that game.
It's little stuff like this that you should take notice of.

First of all, you don't need to write the title in caps, it's quite annoying frankly. The volatility 'problem' will solve itself automatically in the future, it's been going down every year, just look at these charts: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FyX7FYF3.png&t=663&c=kDImbyimbVHUYQ) Yeah, there's been an increase in 2018, but nowhere near the levels that we saw in the beginning. People will still use Bitcoin for payments, just because it gives them an alternative for cashing out via exchanges. Look at Japan for example, since cryptocurrency has been regulated it's actually been used quite a lot as a payment method. https://99bitcoins.com/thousands-japanese-merchants-accept-bitcoin/https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-its-big-in-japan

I might be willing to do it, but I won't send an e-mail, you can just reply to my post here or not.
My conditions:
I keep my current signature Don't ask me to spam Escrow for payments or payment upfront My rate: 0.01 BTC per week and you can't expect me to post more than 20 times.
These conditions are non-negotiable, you can probably find someone who's willing to work at a cheaper rate.
You might want to move this thread to the Services section, you will have more luck there.

If you decide to update this thread, maybe also share some screenshots of your wagers? I mean it could be possible that you've indeed wagered this much, but now it's just some random anonymous person on a forum that's saying all of this.
Also mention the casino's that gave you a hard time after depositing such large amounts, now that would be very useful!

I've noticed the same in my country and it's been increasing the last couple of years. I think it started after the whole poker craze from a few years ago, you would see poker games being broadcasted and they would be accompagnied by gambling adverts.
After the poker craze stopped, the regular gambling ads remained. Now you see a lot of advertisements for casinos everywhere. In train stations, on billboards and on tv. This is in Belgium btw.

Just created a page for testing it out, looking pretty good actually. I mean, the design is way less appeasing to the eye than Patreon's design, but that shouldn't matter too much.
I wish I could test it with video content, but I don't have any such content that I could put on there.

I use VPN too when I am playing gambling because I don't want to be a worry if somehow, something wrong will happen. I will prevent everything bad that might happen besides that when I use VPN, and I can play anywhere even if I am in the cafe with my friends. But still gambling is one of the prohibited things in my country, but I don't think that gambling with cryptocurrency was prohibited too because I am not sure that my government knows about this ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Well, that doesn't exactly make it legal either ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) Not sure if that would hold up in a court of law for example. I mean, I doubt it would be legal to gamble with any other asset, like wagering with your golden jewelry for example, it would probably still be classified as illegal gambling.

Weird, must be a thread (not one I've created) that has been deleted, since I've only had 2 posts and 2 threads removed from Bitcointalk in total. I think I know which posts of mine have been removed and they hadn't received any merit. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FEnNBYwF.png&t=663&c=60v3YmeuJ-jfgA) Too bad Waybackmachine doesn't have those posts archived. Oh well... Edit: Almost forgot to say thank you!

Could you check it for me as well? I've been holding off, but my curiosity got the best of me. I'm not expecting particularly good numbers here, especially compared to some of the forum's power users ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

I voted for: 'I want to try my luck'
I mean, in the end it's just a form of entertainment and I basically gamble in hopes to win something. That doesn't mean that it's my only form of entertainment though and I could just as easily find something else to do.
Saying this after having taken a few months break from gambling.
