1081  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Circulating supply matters to you? on: July 10, 2023, 05:50:32 PM
2. Tokenomics: Understanding a project's tokenomics is crucial. Some projects may have a low circulating supply intentionally as part of their economic model. This scarcity can create perceived value and drive demand. Conversely, a high circulating supply may be designed to ensure wider distribution and accessibility.

In tokenomics, it is also important to pay attention to the coin unlocking schedule of major investors and project founders. Also pay attention to the distribution of supply between community, early investors and founders. If the funders have a large percentage of the coin supply and it will be unlocked within 6 months after listing, then such a project may be subject to rug pull risk, where the project funders will quickly sell their tokens to the community and then stop supporting their project.

1083  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: look, look, what's this on: July 10, 2023, 04:47:31 PM
I think there is an innovation before where they can trade a crypto offline. It's like a lan to lan only. Meaning you can't be far when initiating a trade. Another concept would be is to create physical versions of crypto. So far there's already a few fan-made versions of it but they are rarely being traded because they are crafted with love and there might only be limited pieces of them.

Is offline cryptocurrency trading supported anywhere now? I have heard about various possibilities to pay, buy, sell, exchange bitcoin via cellular communication or other means of data transmission, for example, via radio. Although radio is still not a common way of transferring values and it is not widespread. It would be interesting to familiarize yourself with such services that allow you to trade bitcoin without the internet.
1084  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: PEPE time to buy NOW? on: July 10, 2023, 04:08:46 PM
What shows you the possibility that you will get profits from a meme coin that was in hype but isn't anymore? You need to understand that meme coins can only gain significant value if there is market hype and the market hype phase of Pepe coin has passed already, so I don't really see any hope for it to have any significant gains unless the market enters the bull market and then something might happen as all cryptocurrencies generally go high during that time.

Depends on what you mean by hype. If you mean that the coin will no longer show thousands of percent growth in 1 week, then maybe. Just recently, PEPE grew by 100% in a day, which tells us that it is still possible to speculate well on this coin. Now the focus has shifted to PEPE 2.0, this coin is being actively added to large centralized exchanges.
1085  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: USTC on ER20 rails and I can not trade or convert anywhere on: July 10, 2023, 04:06:04 PM
Try looking for other bridges, I'm sure you can find a relevant offer. USDT in the Terra network is quite a rare stablecoin for centralized exchanges, so you should only hope for decentralized exchangers here. Try searching in the topic Chains & Bridges, there are a lot of services and networks provided there.

1087  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: How to choose varieties for investing in altcoins? on: July 09, 2023, 05:30:14 PM
In order to invest in altcoins, you need to identify for yourself the category of altcoins that you understand best. Before you do that, it's worth doing some research of your own. I would not recommend investing in altcoins that are not traded on major exchanges. Such projects have poor liquidity. Short-term investments in altcoins are only justified if you bought your coins on some token sale and the price of the coin increased a lot immediately after listing. If you buy coins at the market price, the efficiency of short-term investments in altcoins is very low.

1091  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How big is your optimism for crypto investment? on: July 09, 2023, 04:44:22 PM
I'm glad bitcoin is over $30k, but I'm not very optimistic. I am cautious about this growth. It is too early to talk about a full-fledged bull run of cryptocurrencies after what we saw less than a year ago, when there was a bear market and prices of many projects were at the bottom of that cycle. Things are moving extremely fast now, and there is a good chance that it could soon end in a massive correction that could last a full year. The experience of 2019 has taught me that you should not believe in lush growth after the end of the bear cycle, it could be another market trap and you will have to fix your losses later.
It is not wrong to be cautious in this regard but sometimes when talking about caution everything is not always reliable I think because indeed when in bitcoin of course we know the risks.
Although I agree with caution but of course we also cannot forget where we also have to take advantage of all conditions where it can be profitable.
$30k is indeed for now quite large but when talking about long-term conditions it could be that this is also profitable even though everyone has their own strategy in making investments but I am more relaxed in this case when I have more money then I will do it without seeing the price because of course we know that when talking about investment it takes a long time because it cannot be instant so as long as I can then I will buy and hold it.

The size of the price is learned in comparison with the duration of the investment. If we invest for a very short period of time, buying at $30,000 may seem like a really expensive purchase. In the context of one decade, for example, that price may seem extremely low to the investor, because the bitcoin price may rise a lot in the next 10 years. The shorter our investment term, the more we depend on the price to make a buying decision.
1092  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gold-Backed cryptocurrency with Passive Income on: July 09, 2023, 03:59:08 PM
I'm not saying that all projects that run on DEX are useless. That's not the point. The point is that most projects that start with DEX end up there, too. These projects can contain a unique concept, a great product and other useful features. The problem with such projects, for all their usefulness, is the lack of funding. Without funding, any project, even with the most useful functions, is doomed to the fact that it will have weak support from investors, and therefore will have low liquidity. This is what we see with tokens that are listed on DEX and nowhere else. At the same time, a completely useless project can have a huge capitalization and be popular with investors, if this project has a budget from the beginning.

This is a myth. Shiba inu haven't spent a dollar on marketing until last year and they managed to get to top 10 cryptocurrencies at some stage before that.

Of course, they got there for free Grin Shiba Inu allocated very big money for the promotion of their project in various social networks, and even in tik tok. Memcoins are becoming famous for only one reason. Because someone gives a lot of money to promote this coin in the community and mentions about the coin goes viral. Nothing is free. Influencers, bloggers, and other opinion leaders never work for free. The fact that many people found out about Shiba Inu is precisely the result of marketing, or rather the cost of marketing. Judging by where SHIB is now, we can say that the costs have paid off in full.

Pepe allocated lots of money for promotion. Shiba Inu haven't spent a cent on promotion until the beginning of last year. I know the developer, we talk. So, I don't know where you get your info from. Shiba Inu community was so powerful, every exchange wanted to list Shiba Inu to gain their community members.

You expect me to believe this nonsense about marketing a multi-billion dollar asset costing nothing, while in 2021 SHIB was being advertised all over tik tok and YouTube, and that you got your information from the developer of SHIB himself? All successful projects have a marketing budget, that's what differentiates successful projects from non-successful ones. The difference is having money for community promotion.

Can you confirm your information that you were told this by the developer himself? I can also say that I talked to satoshi in 2008 Wink
1093  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is now a good time to buy BNB? on: July 09, 2023, 03:28:35 PM
I can also add that BSC has a very high deployment rate of all sorts of scam tokens. I don't know, maybe they already managed to overtake Ethereum blockchain in this indicator. For example, Polygon has lower commissions and lower percentage of scam projects. Unfortunately, Polygon does not have such a powerful promotion platform, which BSC has. Also I strongly support the comment about centralization, BSC network is very dependent on regulators and CZ itself.

Yes. CZ is too tied to all things Binance. The survival of the BSC blockchain depends on him. If Binance fails, we will witness BNB going all the way down the drain in an instant. So much for a "decentralized" platform for smart contracts. I believe BSC needs more validators to become decentralized. Only then, BNB will be able to live alongside BTC and ETH for generations.

The crypto market is still bearish, so I'd take the opportunity to buy and "hodl" as much coins as possible to prepare myself for a future "pump". Who knows if all of this SEC nightmare goes away soon? Just my opinion Smiley

Is there even one smart contract platform in the crypto industry right now that is truly decentralized? In my opinion, no. ETH is also centralized. If a platform doesn't have a centralized apparatus, there are always major investors or validators who are subject to certain jurisdictions and certain regulators. From that, platforms can impose some regulation or censorship on the network.
1094  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Return Of Terra Luna Classic on: July 09, 2023, 02:37:22 PM
Scam happened, the coin bankrupted many investors, CEO turned out to be a crook who hid from the authorities for some time, but the community is still discussing the possible return of Terra Luna. What's wrong with you guys? It's time to forget about this crap and switch your attention to some worthy projects that have value and reputation in the community. LUNA has neither of these things, and you are still waiting for some mythical revival, like the phoenix from the ashes.

I guess who spoke about it is trying to hype the project again, they could be related to the devs on someone from inside.

But yeah, it was a traumatic experience for some of us, because of the actual collapsed, Terra Luna has reported that they are heavily investing on bitcoin as well as a hedge and put in on their balance sheet.

But this is just a front as they collapse bringing down all investors with them that they might have bankrupt the majority of us here.

The project brought losses to many investors, they filed lawsuits against them. It is clear that now the developers will try in every way to save the project, to attract some liquidity and somehow cover the losses. Now there is only speculative interest in the project, its utility, as a separate project, is completely dead. In the crypto industry, it is easier to open a new project than to try to revive an old one, which has a lot of problems, including legal ones.
1095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between pi and bitcoin on: July 09, 2023, 01:59:05 PM
This is only if the developers themselves hold a token sale through the distribution of their coins to early users or through a token sale on their website. Many well-known projects don't collect anything from their investors, it is done by the launchpad and various third-party platforms that organize such rounds of token distribution to early investors, such as coinlist.
Surprisingly that there are still people who do get fooled with this thing on which it doesnt really even have its own blockchain but there is a value but those are imaginary ones and something that only people
around really making out their own value. I do even see people who do bought up coins on something this kind of type without even trying out to realize on what legit project or coin do really have.
This is why noobs should really be making some indepth research so that they wouldnt really be ending up on investing on something shit because if they do then they would definitely be losing money.

Many projects do not have their own blockchain, that is not an indicator of their dubiousness. The indicator is the method of distributing that token to investors, the presence of some big investors or whales, and the demand for the token. There are more than half a million different tokens and coins on the market, but only about 200 blockchains.
1096  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: look, look, what's this on: July 09, 2023, 01:30:51 PM

Some people say that the network signal is not good when you are away from home. If there are currencies that are traded offline, that would be great, and maybe there will be large-scale application scenarios for digital currencies! What do you think?

You can trade by phone number, just like you did before the Internet. You call your broker, find out the price of the asset, and tell him you want to buy this coin in the amount of $10,000. He buys that asset for you. This kind of trading is extremely primitive, and given how wild the cryptocurrency market is, you are more likely to get scammed and run into a scammer.
1097  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is there a digital currency with higher security? on: July 09, 2023, 01:21:54 PM
Very simple. See investment rounds, who is the baker, a major investor in the project, where the project's token sale is held, which exchanges the project is traded on, its tokenomics, the roadmap, the developers' portfolio, and much more.

This is the best way to screen new projects if you really want to invest. If you want to play roulette, then just invest at random, in everything you see first Wink

I dont know maybe i answered your question.

No, you didn't.

First, I didn't say anywhere that the accounts were unrelated. I didn't check because it doesn't violate forum rules, hence it doesn't concern me.

Second, I'm saying that using ninjastic as proof of anything is wrong. As far as I know, moderators don't accept ninjastic as evidence. What is accepted as evidence is information that is specifically on the forum. For example, if you report plagiarism or ban evasion, and link to ninjastic as evidence, the report will be rejected. But, to use such links among the forum community, please, no one forbids it.

Well, thirdly, I said that using ninjastic as an archive is also wrong. Links to archives, real archives, I pointed out above. With the correction from Timelord2067, it is archive.today or web.archive.org.

You used trickery in your post, providing information from ninjastic instead of the forum. You should have done as I described, and in "Miscellaneous" you should have explained the situation, and the forum community would have decided whether you were right or wrong.

P.S. I'm not defending anyone. It's just my opinion.

@Xal0lex - can I PM you about this post, please?

I read your post. If you're talking about ban evasion, I doubt it. If you want to write about something else, you're welcome. I'm open to all.
