1181  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: CHART 2016 VS 2019 on: November 18, 2019, 08:06:04 PM
Might be a similar pattern last three years ago but it doesn't guarantee that it will repeat itself on what had happened during that time. You still need to treat each pattern as a unique case where you don't need to consider anything about its past movements prior to that pattern, the pattern/formation can still either make or break depending on the supporting indicators such like what you have given which is RSI and others like volume and MACD. It's a good thing that you have recognized the falling wedge pattern now but it's not good that you are analyzing it in a way that you are comparing it's historical price movement and basing your analysis on it.
1182  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-11-13] Crypto Space Has Shockingly Low Total Liquidity of $500 Million on: November 18, 2019, 07:15:22 PM
If you pattern it out with the traditional stock brokers we have as compared to crypto exchanges you will see that crypto exchanges aren't that different at all. You see stock brokers even though they handle huge deals in the stock market aren't that liquid at all but what happens is they can still manage to handle big withdrawals as they themselves have other assets to liquidate when that happens. And isn't it obvious why we have limits built into our accounts? It's not just to limit our trades but also our withdrawals from the exchanges these prevents sudden liquidity problems. Their worst possible scenario is something that we don't have to worry about since they can still manage with them also holding moving assets around.
1183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum ERC20 Tokens Are Gaining in Total Market Capitalization on: November 18, 2019, 05:53:26 PM
If the chart they provided is what the meant by "steadily" gaining on market share then they are just completely riding a bad chart. I have a strong feeling that this article is just made to create FOMO in the market since I don't believe a bullcrap on the chart they have provided especially if you look at the market right now you will see that everything is bathed in red. For the newbies reading this article it might be best to still do your research then just go all out buying ERC 20 tokens which most of them are shitcoins.
1184  Economy / Reputation / Re: Are the campaign managers doing the job correctly? on: November 18, 2019, 04:38:55 PM
With the given scenario you have the short answer is no. If they are paying someone who isn't meeting the minimum requirements the project paying for his services and the participants are actually losing money because they are overpaying for something that isn't even meeting the requirements for their project. It's actually also the project's job to see if their campaign manager is doing the right job leaving them alone without counter-checking is a careless thing for a project to do.
1185  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcointalk trading cards on: November 18, 2019, 03:15:10 PM
If you really have concerns about the cost of printing, designing, and manufacturing these cards why not go straight and make this an online collectible instead? I know it will be half the fun of having the real physical card in your hand but I think this will considerably keep the cost down because you wouldn't have the trouble of designing and manufacturing these cards as all of them will be created digitally. You can even go down the route of creating a digital version first and for those who are interested in the physical versions of their cards will have the option to buy a physical copy of it.
1186  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: cryptotechcoin.com give you 0.2 btc if you deposit 0.01 btc on: November 17, 2019, 08:42:16 PM
This is a common scam but I can't imagine why people still fall into these kind of traps, I know that not all of us are techie and knowledgeable about crypto but these kind of scam is too obvious because if it's just as easy to double or triple your Bitcoin then what's the point of holding it?

It's basically gambling. You either win or lose at someone else's expense. Some people like it apparently.... Tongue

I disagree with the gambling comparison here since the users (victims) here are always losing. You might be talking about hyip sites or any kind of scams with referral commissions in which users have a chance to earn commission from one of their recruits, in this scenario however sending money to them doesn't given them any real chance that they would receive anything in return, this is the type of scam where anyone who will send money will instantly become a victim.

1188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: November 17, 2019, 06:46:16 PM
Couldn't you agree with me that Paul George has an amazing start after he was cleared to play. Just two games in and playing below 25 minutes he is currently averaging 35 PPG, 6.5 RPG, 3.5 APG and hitting 58% of his shots oh and did I mention he is just playing under 25 minutes per game? What more if he doesn't play limited minutes, this could be an awesome Clippers team to watch with the whole team playing together. But realistically speaking I don't see him and Kawhi both playing in all games since we now know Kawhi has this load management issue which he cannot play all of the games and PG is still rehabilitating from his should injury.
1189  Economy / Economics / Re: Asset backed cryptocoins? on: November 17, 2019, 05:48:13 PM
The only asset-backed crypto I would like to see are security tokens that is being offered through STOs not the ones backed by fiat or any kind of precious metals or oil out there. Since security tokens are similar to stocks we might start to see some more stable coins in the crypto market. Not only they are stable but also they payout dividends just like what a normal stock of a company would do. The reason why I'm not into a fiat-backed crypto is simply because I won't be supporting any kind of government's push into the crypto market, supporting one state backed crypto is like accepting a digital version of their own digital asset. At least with security tokens you still get to involve yourself to a wide option of choices to diversify your portfolio.
1190  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: ‘Satoshi Nakamoto’ Scamming Senior Citizens With Bitcoin Retirement Plan on: November 17, 2019, 04:39:54 PM
According to Molt’s Bitcoin Pension website, investors in the plan pay an average of $500 and will receive 2 Bitcoin after five years. Since the scheme has been running since 2017, this means the first payouts should occur by 2022—if Molt doesn’t mysteriously disappear by then.

Just by claiming that he is Satoshi Nakamoto running a pension fund is a clear indication that this is a scam. Nakamoto himself built Bitcoin as a P2P payment solution and he won't make his creation as some kind of investment for senior citizens. Even if you compare traditional pensions out there a .1 BTC to 2 BTC payout is something they couldn't do as there wouldn't be no money to be made with that kind of rate. This kind of scam is really a bad introduction especially for their elderly as they are being fooled by this type of get easy money type of scheme. The crazy thing about this scam is even if Molt has been named running the operations I don't see any news about the authorities taking any kind of action onto a clear scam like this.
1191  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: cryptotechcoin.com give you 0.2 btc if you deposit 0.01 btc on: November 17, 2019, 03:34:21 PM
Besides that this is an obvious scam they are also selling their domain name in flippa which just proves that they are trying to exhaust out more money from their scam before they exit out of it. Don't be fooled into this pay something before you get their award schemes as obviously there are other methods/ways you can do it without pulling out your wallet.

1192  Other / Meta / Re: Force Moderators To Give A Reason For Deleted Posts on: November 17, 2019, 09:53:42 AM
If we are considering the time it will take for mods to give out reasons one by one on each post that is being deleted I think a much better approach is to provide the “comment” of each report the moderator has receive without disclosing the member who has reported the post. With this you will get the chance to see why your post got deleted and why did the mod agree on their reasoning. Not disclosing the name of who reported it would also prevent future altercations happening from members involved with it.
1193  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Brave Browser - Why it doesn't care about your privacy on: November 16, 2019, 07:41:15 PM
I think you have gone overboard when it comes to KYC requirements for Brave, of course they will require KYC as it involves payment of their own cryptocurrency. I even doubt that Brave Software, Inc. is the one pushing for a KYC requirements for their payouts to be enabled and even if they do I totally understand its to prevent abuses when it comes to paying from automated bots that can browse and view ads for you and having multiple computers to maximize your earnings somehow a KYC requirement can minimize these things.
1194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 14, 2019, 07:01:19 PM
There is a new rumor i came across a few hours ago that Real Madrid are plotting a world transfer record move for PSG star Kylian Mbappe

Apparently they are planning to spend a staggering £343million(€400m) according to French newspaper Le Parisien. Spanish publication Marca, also claoims that PSG are already looking possible Mbappe replacements.
Source: https://talksport.com/football/629453/real-madrid-transfer-news-real-madrid-paris-saint-germain-kylian-mbappe/

To me this is a totally ridiculous amount to spend on a budding star. It can definitely pile a lot of pressure on him and he wouldn't perform freely like he is doing tight now.

Probably a dumb move if Zidane will push through with this. The player is great and all but if you think about it why would they spend 400 million euros on one player if they could get 5 or 6 star players with that amount. I don't even think this kind of transfer would even be allowed on FIFA's financial fair play policy even if Real Madrid is one of the richest European clubs in the world. Zidane is smart and I do think he knows Mbappe isn't the solution to turn things around for the team, he simply isn't enough to change everything for them.
1195  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin $400,000 (?) on: November 14, 2019, 06:14:43 PM
Rather, we believe the price of Bitcoin will take another bite out of the value of all the money in the world.

I don't believe in what he is saying about how Bitcoin will take some value away from our own fiat currency. Even if the interest or demand grows to Bitcoin I don't think it will have any kind of direct impact on our money since the ones that are really affecting the value of our fiat currency is our own economy and to anything that affects it. Cryptocurrencies also doesn't affect the demand or supply of fiat currencies since their prices are also based within it, once they devalue fiat currency what they are doing is they are also devaluing themselves making it not ideal for cryptocurrencies to be bought.
1196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: An investor lost $24 million worth of bitcoin on: November 14, 2019, 05:18:54 PM
This is somehow old news woth regards to Michael Terpin. He recently filed a lawsuit against AT&T for breach of contract and he will try to win his $24 million from them, not to mention he also have 50 other individuals who have been victimized by sim swapping because of the process AT&T gives for people trying to access someone else's sim card. I personally think Terpin would win specially of has 50 other individuals who are the sam victims as him.
1197  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Bitcoin: Chess Masters vs. Surfers on: November 14, 2019, 04:28:30 PM
I'm not aware of the terms you have explained right now but I don't think most of them have a choice. If you think about “surfers” you will notice that they are trading more frequently compared to the “chess masters” because most of them didn't have the chance to buy Bitcoin at a cheaper price now their only way of maximizing their profits is to take advantage of the volatility. Unlike chess masters who have bought it at a cheaper price they have an option to wait and cash out big time because they have a margin of safety on their side.
1198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: November 13, 2019, 08:43:58 PM
I'm seeing news that it looks like Moise Kean is going back to Serie A and this time he might be wearing the red and blacks of AC Milan. Mino Raiola, the agent of Moise Kean, is the one who first contacted Milan and they are talking about a potential January transfer window move with him. Milan might be interested in the offer since they offloaded their young star, Patrick Cutrone, last summer and they didn't really have any replacement for him.  Hopefully Everton won't overvalue him since he is the one asking for the move and I know Milan's management isn't too trigger friendly went it comes to shelling out big transfer budgets specially in the January transfer window.

Moise Kean might look like a good young prospect for the Serie A league but that's all there is he is just a prospect and he can't really imrpove the team overall or give any kind of noticeable contributions when he will be in the team. If you didn't notice Milan needs players who will contribute right away and not a young prospect that they will have to wait a year or two for them to start benefiting. Right now I don't see Moise Kean even at the same level of Piatek, the team would be better off spending those millions on a veteran.
1199  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-11-12] Bitcoin Presented as ‘First Successful Application of Blockchain’ on: November 13, 2019, 08:04:36 PM
However, the skeptical me is asking what is the government controlled news agency's agenda for reporting this? Why today? The Chinese authorities have always been against bitcoin.

They aren't against it and I believe what we have been hearing crypto related news in China has been heavily padded or all through out wrong compared to the current situation in China brought to us by main stream crypto news websites that all cared about clickbaity headlines and misleading news. They have been talking about bans in trading yet we see Chinese crypto exchange like Huobi and OkEX with one of the highest daily trading volumes in the crypto market, we have news about bans for crypto mining yet the number one manufacturer of mining rigs, Bitmain, is doing its operations in China. Also they won't really praise Bitcoin or make it into their news if they aren't holding any of their own, they might just be doing this to create some kind of FOMO in the market.
1200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coca cola bottlers use Blockchain on: November 13, 2019, 07:13:26 PM
Is this some kind of bullshit that Coca-cola suddenly shifted their focus on? Last year ago I was reading an article that Coca-cola is creating a blockchain for the purposes of weeding out forced labor (slavery) in the world now they have launch a different kind of blockchain one that would just benefit their overall operations. After that article I didn't have any kind of updates regarding their blockchain about that and now the first update we have a blockchain from Coca-cola is a totally different one. Hopefully I'm wrong about this one since we are talking about different Coca-cola companies here.
