Ok, seems I hit the nerve lol

No, but it became quite important to me to make you know that these 2 managers, at some point of time, have managed altcoin campaigns and both do manage such campaigns from time to time.

Quote
Obviously, this topic is not as important to me as it is to you, but that is ok Cheesy

Still got me wrong, not the topic but that specific part of the topic.

Quote
He said BM's in both cases in general, he did not say all BM's, and I mentioned that in my response.  Also I know that they do manage some altcoin projects, but most of their work is related to BTC and I'm pretty sure that there is not many people on this forum that would consider neither of them as an altocoin bounty managers, like some other managers that deal with altcoins almost exclusively.

Gotcha. Wink

Quote
And I'm not interested in dragging this in @fillippone post, or anywhere else. If you feel attacked by my response, that is up to you and I'm okay with that. You are right if you look it at it from your angle, as I'm also right from my angle.I have nothing personal or ego involved in this.

Cheers

Even I was not, and am not interested in flooding this thread with some nonsensical debate which will derail the motive of this thread, really doesn't want that. If I made you feel offended by any means, sorry about that dude. I just wanted to make my point clear, no offense. Smiley

And sorry @fillippone for this debate, this one's my last comment of that particular topic and I won't write here anything unless it's of any use to this thread (but not this topic, for sure).

Just jumping in to correct you slightly.
Not needed, seriously not needed after reading your whole comment, you woke up a sleeping tiger. So be it.

Quote
He certainly didn't mean Hhampuz nor Yahoo when he stated that generalism about BM's and quotas. He mentioned altcoins board and neither Yahoo nor Hhampuz do altcoin bounties, only BTC ones, so they don't fall into that category.

Read and check my comment very carefully (and yeah, with open eyes of course), I gave those 2 as an example. Mpamaegbu said altcoin board is full of spam, okay I accepted it. But, when he accused all the BMs not focusing on quality and rather quantity (as he didn't add "few" before BMs in his comment), I wanted to chime in and let everyone know that not ^all BMs^ look for quantity alone (and I'm not targeting anyone while responding to this guy's comment). Now, for your general knowledge, I was aware of one of the altcoin campaigns managed by Yahoo named Justdatingcoin, do search for it and you will know. About Hhampuz? Really? He doesn't manage bounties and only manages BTC campaigns alone? You need to scratch your head when you say that comment in front of me. I know each and every manager here very carefully and I know their works too, don't even argue about this thing with me. No offense but you truly don't know what you're talking about. Go and check altcoins board, you'll definitely find a few campaigns by Hhampuz. Maybe not currently active, but not too old to find.
1203  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ranking up is possible! 2900 Merits earned in less than 12 months! My 11 Hints! on: September 18, 2020, 12:00:00 PM
As been observed that bitcoin and altcoin discussion had huge spam posts and moderators had already told about this how heavy thier work on moderating in that sections.
The spam is worst in the altcoins board and this is simply because Bounty Managers hardly find time to run through the weekly post history of their participants. The BMs are only interested in meeting up with the quota.

Really? I don't think so.
Bounty managers like Yahoo (whenever he takes a bounty work) and Hhampuz do check the quality rather than just seeing whether the quota has been met or not. While I'm saying these 2 names, by no means am I pointing fingers or questioning any other BMs or their works as I've only observed these 2 managers on a personal level.

This is a large count of merit, I hope someday I will reach just half an on your way.
--snip--

Merit is literally no big deal if you understand the game of numbers (Mathematics) properly as well as change the way you see the forum. Stop seeing it like this forum has gold and you are the golddigger, and start digging in deeper for the vast and wide amount of knowledge you can gain here.
Two steps to succeed in gaining more and more merits:
  • Be active, engage in topics you know about and ask questions that you have no knowledge about. Only a genius can ask a lot of questions because of the hunger of knowing more and more about something specific.
  • Like masulum said, don't think about money and signature campaigns in the beginning, they are the perks that can be enjoyed later on, once you've got enough knowledge to share with others. Your major focus shouldn't be money, but engagement in all sort of topics. Don't worry about post counts until you're posting good or high quality content, nobody's gonna report you and won't even ask you to post with long gaps if you do it like that (however, it becomes a need to post with timegaps as it may be considered spam even if your post justifies the topic, which is why you need to work on gaining merits instead of gaining money). If you don't join a signature, you have the freedom to post wherever you want to, and know as much as you want to about any topic because I've seen people not visiting some interesting topics/threads/sections of this forum just because they're not being paid by their campaign for posting there. Don't restrict yourself until you're wise enough to answer rather than questioning more.
1206  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion: disable Press board & lock topics unattended by OPs in past months on: September 17, 2020, 06:25:30 PM
Why not conduct consensus with a few reputed members and if not, then all the users of this forum? I believe the number will be too small to even respond to the poll that will be available on that page but I don't see any possibility of this thing getting manipulated due to the fact that the reach of press section is least because most users here neither visit there out of 0 interest or they are here just for signature camps and as signature campaigns probably don't pay for that section, only those who are interested in the news may show up there with their opinion on whether the news is accurate or not. This will help reduce the biased opinions and bring betterment to the news part of this forum.

Do you think it would prevent the spam if the mods would close topics left unattended by the authors for long time?

I believe that closing the topics is fine but what if someone has something informational updates to add up in the future about the said news? I think there should be an "appeal" button or at least some sort of appealing to mods should be available to reopen (unlock) the thread in future.
1207  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance sued for money laundering over stolen bitcoin. on: September 17, 2020, 01:04:13 PM
If KYC becomes mandatory, then we will likely see a proliferation in the number of DEXs and a growth in the volume they are dealing with, which would be great for everyone who is interested in their privacy.

Tbh, I personally believe DEXs can't really match the volumes we see over centralized exchanges and even if they will, they won't be able to handle it. I used IDEX (one of the most favorite for everyone going for DEX) but even they had several issues like server fuck up, database errors (sometimes it showed coins which I never bought and possessed, while sometimes it even hide my coins that I have on that address), giving "wrong private key" errors even when it was used at the same time at MEW and even worked.

A surge on the number of newly-created accounts to take advantage of the no-KYC 2BTC limit per account would have been noticed by Binance if they were really keen into combating money laundering.

Seriously, how's that even possible? A wave of new accounts to look after? It was 1.5k BTC, so even if 750 new accounts were made, nothing can be brought under observation as these numbers are too small compared to the daily sign ups these exchanges are getting worldwide. It'd have only been caught if thieves may have used a single place's IP address(es) while creating accounts. It wouldn't have been hard for those hackers too to gain some fake phone numbers and identity theft is not a big deal for them who hacked a whole exchange.

Thank you very much for your kind words. I think no one have ever written a poem on me!

My pleasure, seriously! You're someone worth to be mentioned in those words and as I said, it came from my soul so I needed to pen it down. An extremely good personality you are. Smiley

I feel somewhat ashamed and a bit jealous too (frankly) because I lacked something you had, hehe. Though, the way you write your posts makes me feel that you dedicated your soul into those words to make people understand some basic yet necessary things which could help them win in the long run, be it a trading technique or the behavior on the forum. I've written something for you (came from a good soul for a good soul) Wink

From day one, showed max efforts

Never gave a damn to negativity (pessimism)
Spreading knowledge, his only goal

Assist is needed from other senior members on the platform is needed.

Ah, sob story.
Come on, you need assist here? It's not a basketball game, dude. /s
Btw tbh, there are many, many users trying to help newbies and even high rank members like full members, Sr members, and even hero members reach their upgraded membership level by giving them merits. But merits are not for shitposting nor are they given for the type of posts you make.

Stop begging for merits.
You must have come here when users like DdmrDdmr, LoyceV, fillippone, coolcryptovator, cryptopreneurbrainboss, nullius, and many legendary users started their journey here. They never ever begged for merits but worked really hard to earn both - merits and their reputation. You should really watch them and learn from them, see the motivational threads by LoyceV, informational threads by fillippone, helpful users like suchmoon and many others have their own ways to earn merits. Create your own way, or just start walking on the path I showed you because the fact is, I can only guide you but following my guidance and reaching your destination is up to you.

I've already seen that message and I'm still learning how to do it but I think only users with a PC can do so

Create a mycelium wallet in your phone and import a wallet with your private key (you need it because your private key is the only thing that lets you sign a message). Now, after creating it, tap on the wallet name and you'll see some options on top right. Tap on 3 dots upside down, you'll see "Sign Message" option there.

Remember, you will only see that message when you've imported your private key in mycelium wallet.

--snip--

I'm extremely surprised the way they would have divided this money into parts and had the guts to send these coins directly to Binance (as they probably knew that if they mix their coins and send them to Binance, Binance would either block or seize their coins until a KYC would have been conducted). So, no mixing services involved, how the hell were they able to transfer such a big amount to Binance without coming into limelight is what's crushing my brain atm.

If KYC gets mandatory, we'll probably see a bit drop in the number of users adopting crypto (maybe because their sole intention of using it is remaining anonymous while trading and gambling it, but if such rights will also be taken away from those users, I don't think people would use exchanges but may go more for things like uniswap and p2p).
1212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance sued for money laundering over stolen bitcoin. on: September 16, 2020, 02:47:53 PM
Seriously speaking, what would Binance do when the thieves weren't so scared of going for a KYC when it's about millions of dollars and what will the victim exchange gain by trying to defame Binance over this saying that they don't meet the industry standards when it comes to KYC?

If the thieves would have already had done fake KYC over Binance and redeemed the coins into another exchange or simply went for an OTC deal? Even if they sold their coins, don't you think it's be easier for them to just get a fake bank account which is not theirs but on someone else's name? And at some places, even the bank guys are guilty because too much money is involved here, so their integrity can easily be bought.

Posters should Search for: available topics, then read first posts, pages or last pages (if topics are locked). I am sure answers can be found.

That was the same thing I was going to write.
But there's another feature on this forum which only a few know about, the Google Search feature on this forum.
How?
If a user wants to search for a specific phrase but are willing to write it as a question, do it like - What is "Bitcoin"?
If something is to be searched which covers two different topics, search - Bitcoin + Blockchain.
Many more ways are available to possibly reach some specific threads where these users can easily find their answers, but who would like to do that when they want to increase their post count? Hehe.

Not to forget that even if newbies try and search their questions on Google, they can get instant answers to almost all their questions as internet has too much of information available to questions which we can't even think of, and Reddit, Bitcointalk as well as quora are all your best places to find all your answers.
1216  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] BestChange Signature Campaign | Sr Member+ on: September 09, 2020, 10:27:05 AM
We understand what this is about. But what are you suggesting in return? How exactly do you want to modify this rule?

Don't get me wrong here, but TBH, spam has its own definition and you have the right to choose which posts to be counted and which shouldn't and you are not entitled to give any explanations whatsoever on those uncounted (or discounted, whichever suits) posts. I believe you should remove this rule at the first place because even if your signature is on the last page of any thread, it is there at least which means that your name is there in that thread that's old enough and/or informative. If you'd like to get a sureshot suggestion, I'd ask you to extend the number to 10 pages, that too for maximum half/quarter of the posts a user makes. That means, if I make 10 posts, 5/7 of them are allowed to be on any page and the rest 5/3 should be on or under 10 pages. How's that?

While we need some reasonable impressions (views) gained for our signature, this thing that bounds us from posting in old threads and rather make posts in new threads should be revoked as our posting habits should not change because if quality matters, you are there to check it out and decide whether or not to count a post. We can't deny the fact that many of those newly created threads by different users are meaningless and we just can't create a new thread just to reach our minimum posts).
1217  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bearish! on: September 08, 2020, 11:53:54 PM
^ I will disagree with this vision since bitcoin did not touch $9k in the market so far and I am very optimistic about the price and I believed that this will bounce back and not beyond $10k in the market. I don't see any negative news that probably will affect the market price or event, only whale here who play the market. The only we can defeat them is to hold and never do panic selling. This is just a small correction and whale has no power to lower down the price, I may not have indicators on my prediction but that is my perception.

Please tell me what had whales to do with the old Mt Gox and many other exchange hacks? What had whales to do with scams and loots that shook us all? Still, we saw immense effects of those things on the markets. That's because of FUD and FUD will never leave us, which is why I believe that there's so much FUD in the markets that we can't help it out and whales, if they want to take the price even to $100, they can do it due to the fact that they've got very big stash and our BTC are just droplet-sized against them. We can't get united because till we unite, these whales will just end the game for us.

I thought that I'm just the only one who see that the price will go on the $8800 levels, it's not that I wanted to see the price go that low. Ok, I "wish", it will go that levels because that's the price that I wanted to see and enter the market again.

$10k support has obviously been broken in the last couple of hours. Again it is strong when traders are defending it, however, in the last 3-4 days, every resistance levels has been broken already. So I wouldn't be surprised if $9500 can't be sustained because there's a lot of selling going on.

I've got a lot of reasons here to say that it'll probably break down below $9k and will definitely reach near $8700 as whenever we are reaching $10k (had always been an extremely crucial support area), sellers pull it back under that level and keep it near 9800-9950 areas. I don't think we are going to fly again for a few months guys, roam with your BTC in alts as probably, BTC will be going sideways for some weeks (probably months).
1218  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Too much HODLing stealing opportunities? on: September 08, 2020, 11:31:12 PM
Isn't it true that too long a hodl can stop you from taking great opportunities while sitting dumb and waiting for a specific target?

To be frank, it's true but you should also know that there's another possible outcome of you wanting to take profit and rebuying when the market crashes down. You can be left behind temporary which might cause a lot of panic leading you into rebuying and probably putting yourself at disadvantage because you'll be buying at the peak this time around as that sudden price upward movement you though was a breakout was just a false alarm but before you realize that, it might be too late already.

Might there be a false alarm, but it is better to try than to regret. Not every trader can be a pro trader and there's actually nothing like a pro trader at all.

Since not everyone can be coordinated when the market seems to be leaving them behind it's most advisable you don't put yourself in that situation. Instead just hold unto your coins at the end of the day you'll still be in profits depending on how long you'll be willing to hold.

You're on this forum for over 3 years now and I bet you might have been watching BTC even before that, Brainboss.  Cool
Please tell me, isn't it a fact that BTC had been doing waves and it just comes down every time it makes a high daily or whenever it does?
We screamed too many times that BTC is dead (please check WO thread for stuff like that), did it die? Never. Crashed? So many times. If you're a hodler, you'd better be watching charts with longer timeframes like 1M (monthly) or 1Y (yearly) rather than hourly and weekly charts. Even after that, if you believe that a hodler (again, not a crypto enthusiast, but a trading hodler) can't find an opportunity in those charts, then I can't really say anything but sigh they didn't want to use that opportunity in their favor.
Leave the charts, if you've bought at $300 and you're getting a chance to sell at $15k which were two scenarios one after another, what would you do?
1219  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware Defi airdrop message shared on telegram on: September 08, 2020, 11:14:02 PM
@OP, nice catch. Even I had been following up with these shit tokens' airdrops, tokens that were never heard of and just pop up. After watching the site and their non-sensible content over their site that you archived, I believe anyone with some common knowledge will be able to understand that they are going to scam. Don't put MEW into this as they can't manipulate MEW, but yeah they can duplicate the exact MEW website and put in front of the user and once the user puts his/her private key or json key, then they can definitely use their dirty hands to play out and fetch all the tokens that the victim had in their address.
1220  Economy / Speculation / Re: sell now or you WILL regret it on: September 08, 2020, 11:04:13 PM
Least was 9825 and today it was 9875 so if we take a break even point of these two which will be 9850, it looks crucial to me and if this breaks down, the double bottom pattern will fade and this will go below 9k and probably reach 8700 in order to create a new lower low for this week/month.

Just for everyone's info, please check today's low over Binance, it played out exactly as predicted and reached 9850 but didn't break below it and bounced back with a superb $350 surge in price taking it above $10200 (if you see 1h chart). I believe we're still under too much pressure at this point and I'd avoid leveraging any position and would rather watch the markets as BTC is playing out near its major support and I don't think that leveraging a long position would be in our favor ATM. I'm not asking anyone to sell, but just beware of these levels.
