As the cap of 750 BTC was reached, we have set the current buy order on Bter to 0.

Does everyone who owns CRSALE right now gets the stake before you set buy order to 0 regardless if it's over 750 BTC? I say yes, because it's clearly your mistake as you sold more than 750

Seriously? Everyone was YELLING, WE WANT A CAP... Now you say, yea but, we really didn't want a cap, if it means I'm not able to get into the IPO.

you can't have it both ways folks. That cap was announced and should be honored. I expect and would accept nothing else.
1322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [NAUT] Nautiluscoin - First Coin w/Stabilization Fund - Digishield on: July 16, 2014, 02:11:52 PM
Any thoughts on what to do if 51% of NAUT staking coins are stolen?

If that occurs can we do anything or is NAUT at the mercy of the 51% holder?

I don't think so. The best way is to set a max coin days for staking to make sure everyone keeps their wallets open. Also, educate people to not hold coins on the exchanges.

Whether you move to POS or not, you have to fix the block times soon. People don't want to way hours sometimes 1/2 day for a single confirm.

That said, I'd favor PoS. Actually, I think the best way to launch a coin is POW for X amount of blocks, then PoS... which is what you would end up with... even if you didn't initially plan it originally.

If you really want this presale closed please tweet to @viacoin your opinions. If there is a clear decision to close I will close it, but please understand there have been quite a few people who bought BTC from Coinbase and ti takes a few days to complete the transaction to get their BTC.

Didn't you just announce it closes at 22:15 UTC today?

I wouldn't say that, the 40 year olds had internet all their adult live, so they should be pretty openminded.

A lot of 40 years olds don't know what internet is Smiley Maybe some of them who live in big cities like New York, Moscow, London are open minded enough for bitcoin, but I think most 40-50 years old guys only care about their boring job, dumb kids and ugly wives )

The other hand young people had internet since they were born, 3-4 years old fellows know how to find cartoons on Youtube.

So much ageism here. Do you guys know the current age of the guys that invented the internet and the guy that invented the www? Check it out.

So we have two tech guys over 40 Smiley Do you think they took that survey?

Again, I'm not saying all people over 40 are too old for that stuff. But c'mon, look around. Does an ordinary 40 years old guy look like crypto investor to you? I bet 90% of my neighbors doesn't even know about bitcoin. Especially those after 40.

It's more than 2. Wink As far as your "bet", Perhaps, but it's probably a high or similar percent of those under 40 as well.

Sounds like you're going to keep IPO open 25 more days.

The announced period of this pre-sale is 30 days (ending August 10th, 00:00 UTC), and while we are very happy that the cap was reached so soon, we still will stand by the original terms.

I don't see the point, if the cap was reached. But, neither do I have a problem with it.

IPO temporarily postpone the end time, in many projects ipo can see, it turned out that this IPO is to get more BTC, the last are absconding.

IPO is the first time the rules specified arbitrarily change the rules of the game, the integrity of the development team is at least questionable.

I do not want to invest in a project is not honest, I am not optimistic about this project, please return my investment.

I'm pretty sure you know what "no refunds" means. Did you do your due diligence before investing?

1329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: July 16, 2014, 04:12:57 AM
You had a great idea, almost perfect. I treid your wallet and read the whole ideology (theory) about nxt. I was very excited and thought that would be the next bitcoin even better. I saw that you r well organised etc.
But when I read that most coins are in the hand of 75 individuals, I was very disappointed. You gave in FAQ an example that half of the total bitcoin are in the hold of 900 people in 5 years. That makes sense. Bitcoins were not in the beggining in the hands of 75 people. There were many other factors like price etc. which made it like that.
You did a great job and you could be the second satoshi nakamoto. But this point the 75 holders makes nxt very weak in view. I would have invested everything, which I could in nxt when that wouldnt be the case.
I wish you still good luck!

We've never heard this before.  Roll Eyes Also, I think after 8 months it's not longer true. But, you got to make your own decisions.

I may have missed the answer to this but have we established that a refund will be given to investors over the 750 btc set cap?

Yes, they stated there is a cap and all investments that come after the cap is meet will be returned.

can someone tell me how many confirmations are needed to confirm balance?

It won't show as "effective balance" until 1440 confirms. But, after 1 confirm you are pretty safe. After 10, probably VERY VERY safe.

Make sure to do at lest one spend (register an alias) to secure your account with a public key. This is very important.

ok so the automaticaly generated secret phrase is my passphrase

Yes, it is a brain wallet. There is no local wallet file needed. Just your password/secret phrase gives access to your funds.

The total amount of Crypti in existence will be 100 Million and 85% will be distributed to shareholders so where from 30% bonus comes from? It can only come from 15% coins
reserved for initial investor and developers. If not, buying on the last day when bonus will be 0% would mean not actualy getting (coins + 0% bonus) but (coins - 30% bonus).

Can someone from developers clarify the matter?

IPO will not last 30 days so there will be no 30%bonus, if ipo end in 7 days there will be 7 % bonus

I'm 99% sure that's not correct.

It's really simple math that was already explained.

The bonus will be added to your BTC amount before the shares are calculated.

Guys what is the advantage of buy CR on pre sale ? If right now i will pay 1 Crypti for 1 BTC ?
o_O Someone can give some potential arguments ?

Because you are NOT buying 1 Crypti for 1 BTC.

As we konw ,there are other channel to raise btc except BTER.COM.so,my question is that bter.com set its max amount as 750 btc, that is to say ,bter.com can raise 750 btc.if my conclusion is right, add the amount via other channel raised, the total amount will be over 750?

The cap is 750. They can add the numbers each night and tell the two escrows when the limit is met, and based on time stamps who to refund if over the cap.

If I knew you could just sell your stake I would have gotten in in at the very first day at 30% and waited to see how things progressed.  Undecided

I truly hope they don't allow for stake trading!

When can we expect the PoS transition? It's been over 10 days since the code was finished, does it need more testing?

The dev said they were shooting for Thursday. How much of the thread did you read before asking this?

Can someone check my math? I posted this before but it was ignored.

It is said that the miner's won't be able to sell/dump coin for a while. But, at a 24 second block time (over 2880 blocks per day) that tells me that after 1 day of mining that miners will start getting rewards. Those rewards will be about 28k coins per day.

So, might it be cheaper to mine this coin starting D2 than to buy it at the current ICO price? I'm just wondering. I bought some in the ICO, but might I have been better off spending that money on a mining rig rental?
