1361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why Is Litecoin an Attractive Investment Asset? on: July 25, 2021, 06:59:31 AM
Lightning Network is working fine on Bitcoin, nobody is using the Litecoin version. All the Lightning developments are happening on BTC and they are just copying. As for confidential transactions and mimblewimble, they've been talking about it for ages it seems like and I don't know how much progress has actually been made.
1362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Oscar Valdez vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 10th on: July 25, 2021, 02:23:39 AM
Everybody wanted to see him unify with Herring but Herring has a mandatory against Shakur Stevenson he has to take care of. Stevenson is the favorite in that fight and the odds will be really even if he ends up fighting against Valdez. Conceicao is a good tune up for Valdez. He is an olympic gold medalist and so far he is undefeated as a pro fighter.
1363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin vs binance Coin on: July 24, 2021, 01:19:10 AM
When Binance Coin first started as an ERC-20 token I didn't think it had much of a future. It's only use was for paying fees on Binance. Since then they created a new blockchain and then pivoted towards being a smart contract platform that could compete with Ethereum. I am impressed with how far they have come.

When you look at Litecoin, the development is stagnant. Their daily transactions started going up after some on-chain game started spamming the blockchain but this is not an organic rise in adoption. Litecoin will get left behind like other payment coins that tried to compete with Bitcoin like Dash and BCH.

Also the funds needed to be able to get 16 WoF are quite significant around 0.23 BTC at the current FUN price and have to pass a period of 360 days or about 1 year of ownership to be able to get 16 WoF.
It's interesting to see if there will be members in this forum who will post they get rolex or other prizes besides RP, Satoshi and lottery tickets

I have 6 WoF spins every day, I need 5k more to have 8 WoF spins, and sometimes I am thinking to deposit and buy them... but I am constantly winning 50 sats/RP/lottery tickets, so I am not sure about that... I didn't have the luck to hit that 5k sats, so how far from that is Rolex?! Smiley
It's interesting to have these spins, if we don't try it we don't have chances to win! I hope someone from here will hit that Rolex, that would be awesome!

I've also considered buying more tokens to upgrade my level. Getting the 5k prizes has not been a problem, I sometimes get more than what is expected according to probability. The reason I haven't upgraded is because I worry the price of FUN will keep going down making it unprofitable to cash out if I need to sell them for BTC.
1365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LTC or TRX? to have most potential from here (15/05/2021) on: July 23, 2021, 04:30:02 AM
Litecoin is mostly just a clone of Bitcoin. It has not really been adopted for payments. TRX itself doesn't have that many interesting developments but the Tron network has a lot of stablecoin volume. For transferring stablecoins it is an ideal blockchain because the fees are negligible.

Like other smart contract platforms that aren't EVM compatible it is going to be difficult to get the same level of attention from developers. There are also newer blockchains like DOT that seem to be growing faster.
1366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Does matic (polygon) worth to invest? on: July 23, 2021, 03:30:28 AM
I think one of the things holding Matic back is that you can't easily get it directly on Polygon. If you want to do some trading on a DEX then first you will need to bridge through Ethereum and pay high gas fees. The high fees to get started is one of the biggest drawbacks but once you are on Polygon then the fees are extremely cheap. Enough people are okay with the tradeoffs, that is why we see rising adoption of Matic and the Polygon network. There are already some popular dapps like Aave and Sushiswap available on Polygon.
1367  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🔥BFG is LISTED🔥 BUY🔺SELL🔺EXCHANGE|⚡️Free BTC+BNB| on: July 22, 2021, 08:57:02 PM
Indeed, this was the original use of the token on the gaming site.  And here the right thing would be to maintain a balance between use in games and farming.  Devs, of course, need to calculate the balance of farming because players and people generally like it when their deposit increases (even if just a little).  This gives an incentive to look at the score more often and, accordingly, more often go to the site and play, since you have already entered ...
That is exactly what the complaints have been about, I mean if you are going to end up gambling here then it is great but if you are going to use this place (or more like biswap) as just a farming token place then this token will become worth zero eventually, it is just not the way it should be used at all. A lot of people have been saying this but they have been ignoring it all together, why keep ignoring something that people keep being scared of?

It is just impossible to let it be because let's be honest this is a casino first and foremost and it is a token afterwards, token was created for gambling, gambling wasn't created for token, people mix that up. I really hope that we will see a lot more marketing, especially considering they ended up selling their tokens for high amounts as much as 20+ dollars each, so they should have enough money to do high amounts of marketing.

I've seen very few complaints. There are always going to be some people who are unhappy but when you compare this to the amount of people that are farming then I would say they made the right decision. They even had a vote and an overwhelming majority voted in favor of adding a farming feature. Some people might end up dumping the tokens they farmed and that would affect the price but it will not go to zero because people will still want BFG to earn dividends.
1368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pancake Swap on: July 22, 2021, 05:02:15 AM
Binance.us doesn't let you withdraw BNB on the BSC network only on the BEP-2 version. It is much easier to buy Bitcoin and then use a VPN to access a no-KYC instant exchanger like Sideshift.ai or FixedFloat.com and trade BTC or alts for the BSC version. Once you have BNB in your wallet then you can buy CAKE directly on Pancakeswap.
1369  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New Data Reveals Bitcoin Mining is Now Friendlier to the Environment on: July 22, 2021, 03:18:23 AM
I think the Elon Musk tweet was a good kick in the butt for these miners to seek alternative "green" energy for mining purposes. We also have a lot of Chinese miners that has shutdown their miners that were linked to fossil fuel energy sources.

I hope this will have a trigger affect on the global mining farms and that they will be relocating to areas that has "green" and sustainable energy sources. (Hydo / Wind / Solar powered energy sources)  Wink

That is giving Musk too much credit. Things were already headed in that direction. The negative publicity had been building up for long before he tweeted about it.

Overall, this has been a really good thing because the Bitcoin hashrate is better distributed and the network is more decentralized now that miners are relocating to different nations.
1370  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you buy this book for your kids? on: July 22, 2021, 01:56:03 AM
I do not have any children but this is very interesting. I do not have any problem with introducing children to Bitcoin and blockchain from an early age. If this is the future of money then they should learn about it early in their life. Learning about bitcoin does not detract from other subjects they might be interested in. They are capable of learning multiple things and they will still have enough time to do other activities.

Just my luck. Made a fresh deposit after some time and it landed just hours before the Deposit bonus;) Not really the amount I'd like but in these days, I'm trying to keep my BTC. Just feel like I'm close to redeeming RPs so thought I might set myself up for a 5x bonus when it comes!

I do miss those days of getting Lambo golden tickets for depositing though, but I'd be just as happy to get 10 free WoF spins. 50 x 10 is still 500 for nothing:)

Seems that many of us are getting closer to the 100k mark for the RP. Currently I have around 77k RP, so I hope to reach the ultimate goal in 1-2 months.

It was a little over 1 month ago that I redeemed 100k RP. Today I am already a third of the way towards reaching 100k again. It is not just the 5000 RP rewards from the wheel that are a big deal because the 500 amounts also add up to a few thousand RP.
1372  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Spend your bitcoins with a 3rd party on Alixpress on: July 21, 2021, 01:41:36 AM
I use paywithmoon and it works very well. The merchant doesn't need to be based in the US, they just need to accept US credit cards. You might also need to provide a valid US address when the merchant asks for billing information. There are some restrictions but those are typical of many credit cards and they wouldn't apply to an Aliexpress purchase. There is no KYC or phone verification required to use a card from Moon so it is really convenient. If a store doesn't accept the card you can just load the balance to your Amazon.com account so it doesn't go to waste.
1373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people still use ETH? on: July 20, 2021, 11:37:26 PM
I have tried Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain and Tron. Tron has the lowest fees but not a lot of interesting projects. BSC has low enough fees and it is continuing to grow and attract developers. I believe that the future will be multi-chain. If BSC continues to grow then all the best projects from ETH will port it over to BSC and operate on both chains. Their is too much money from fees that they can make and I don't think they can ignore BSC forever. There are also some good original projects on BSC, it is not just copy and paste. Pancakeswap might be a fork of Uniswap but it has added so many features that it has it's own identity that separates it from all the clones.
1374  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🔥BFG is LISTED🔥 BUY🔺SELL🔺EXCHANGE|⚡️Free BTC+BNB| on: July 20, 2021, 10:23:14 PM
That is what I have said for a month now, but for some reason they do not care. I understand that BFG being listed is a brand new thing and that is why marketing is focused on that right now, that is understandable and I can accept that. But all those gambling, all those casino games, all those boxes, everything like that needs to be seen as something that we all come here for.

If we are coming here for BFG and not the casino then the casino will be gone, and BFG will become worthless as well. The path to make BFG very valuable is to make it actually worth it that much, how do you make it actually have a worth? You end up giving more and more dividends, well how do you pay high dividends if you are not going to have any gamblers? And how are you going to have a lot of gamblers if not for marketing? These are all very simple concepts that nobody seems to care, I see not so great future here if they do not start the marketing for casino again.

Having the farm might be a good way to introduce DeFi people to gambling. If you go to Las Vegas casinos will offer all kinds of things that are not related to gambling to attract new people. They have concerts, boxing, UFC. They do not have to limit themselves just to gambling. As long as they are getting visitors all of them are potential gamblers.
1375  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's causing the decline this time? on: July 20, 2021, 03:05:41 AM
The stock market had a bad day. There is concern over inflation and the covid delta variant. There is also all the other FUD and recent China news. We saw the price of Bitcoin rise so fast early this year that these massive corrections look really bad but when you look at the bigger picture we are still above the pre-2021 all time high and well above where the price was at one year ago today.
1376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should i believe a person who said"my trust wallet get hacked" ? on: July 19, 2021, 09:05:34 PM
Since i joined the crypto world i didnt face any problem regrading wallets but i see that many people lose funds...somtimes the situation is normal like when somone share his private key or back up phrase in a scam website...but lets imagine that somone open a nwe wallet on trust and start using it without even keeping the phrase...is there a way to enter his wallet and make transactions without even having the back up phrase?

If they sideloaded the app through an unofficial source instead of Google Play then it is possible for this to happen. If you are going to install an APK then first you need to verify the checksum or PGP signature to see that it is a valid app and not a modified version that could have malware.
1377  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🔥BFG is LISTED🔥 BUY🔺SELL🔺EXCHANGE|⚡️Free BTC+BNB| on: July 19, 2021, 08:37:13 PM
It's a choice there's nothing wrong with it while I keep moving my tokens to the most profitable places farming on betfury continues to drop by only 178%
Staking is for locked tokens what I get when I play games if the period is over maybe I'll move it too.

178% is still incredibly good APR. There is nothing in centralized finance that could compete with those kinds of returns. In theory a $100 investment could make you a millionaire in less than a decade if you compounded every day. The reality is that those high percentages aren't sustainable due to the limited supply of BFG but this is still a great investment opportunity for the brief period that we are able to do farming.

I am using freebitco.in since couple of years and trying to roll almost every day. But never won something big. I spent more than what i earned from free roll or multi. Spent few dollars on jackpot. But either its my luck or i have got bad client seed every time.

Here are my current status just want to share

https://i.imgur.com/FGQLRBh.png

1385 rolls is a very small amount for somebody that has been active for two years. It would be very surprising if you had actually won something big with such few rolls. The amount spent on jackpots does seem substantial but without any context it is hard to evaluate just how unlucky you were in this regard. If you were aiming for the bigger jackpots then it did not take many rolls to reach this amount and it would be completely expected that you have not won a big prize.
1379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Charlo vs Castano - July 17 on: July 18, 2021, 04:27:16 AM
Castano performed better than expected but it was not really a surprise that it was a draw. There was always some doubt about how good Charlo was. It was a close fight and the draw seems fair to me. They should have an immediate rematch and next time I would favor Castano. His skill level seems superior to me. Charlo has good heart and can punch but he is a limited fighter when it comes to technique.
1380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Does matic (polygon) worth to invest? on: July 18, 2021, 12:23:20 AM
It is trying to fix ETH and will become obsolete with ETH2. It is already pumped so not too good for long term investment IMO. Not financial advice though.

I don't think it will become obsolete. It has enough adoption to have a big network effect. People will still continue using it for a while.

Polygon has started to take away market share from ETH competitors like BSC. Fees are extremely low and you can bridge any token from the ETH main chain. Sidechains like Polygon still face the same scaling issues as any blockchain but they are typically more centralized so it is not an immediate concern. Newer projects don't just want to limit themselves to just one chain and they are including Polygon. As long as people continue to build on it there will always be demand for their native token.
