1801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: potential moonshots on: February 15, 2022, 01:45:38 PM
Hello!I guess we all know its more reasonable to invest money into stable projects like BTC/ETH/SOL/ATOM/MATIC/DOT ect, but this isnt what this thread is about.
So if you were to gamble with a certain smaller percentage of your capital, which yet small and unknown projects would you invest into and why?

That is a very hard question to answer and if i would know the answer i would already be rich because as you already said new and promising projects have the biggest potential for absolutely huge profits but of course the risk of losing all of your money that you invested is way higher than if you invest it into already existing and established projects. Another thing, that makes it pretty hard to invest into the hottest new projects nowadays is the fact, that there are no real traditional ICOs anymore where everyone can invest. Basically all of those new projects are using launchpads lick Polkastarter, Poolz or DuckDao in order to do a little raise before they are listing on pancake- or uniswap.
1802  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: February 15, 2022, 12:20:30 PM
Finally, the Champions League is back and we immediately have a match that could be the final. Competition PSG-Real Madrid promises to be very interesting. Personally, I do not see a definite favorite in this pair. It will surely be a huge disappointment for both teams to be knocked out in this phase of the tournament, but it seems that PSG is under more pressure. Today I'm counting on a good show and a lot of goals, I'm betting over 2.5 goals.

I absolutely agree it has been a pretty lang wait now for the next big games on the international stage in football and i'm really looking forward to all the Champions League (and Europa League) games that are happening in the next few weeks. Finally we have at least 2 good games per week again that we can watch from our favorite teams. Your bet on more than 2.5 goals sounds reasonable to me as i also have a hard time to pick a favorite in this matchup here. Paris definitely has way more pressure than Real Madrid here because in the end all that money that went from Qatar into PSG in the last 10 years was only paid because of 1 goal; to win the Champions League.
1803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin 🐕‍🦺 1$ possible in 2022 or not? on: February 15, 2022, 12:16:53 PM
When Dogecoin lounch, Dogecoin was a common cryptocurrency But over the trailing 14-month stretch, Dogecoin has rallied approximately 5,000%. And it was up considerably more when it hit its all-time high of nearly $0.74 per coin in May 2021.

With a veritable mountain of support behind Dogecoin, enthusiasts and holders believe it could hit $1 per token.

In terms of catalysts, there's probably none bigger than having the world's richest person in your corner. Tesla CEO Elon Musk owns only three cryptocurrencies. One of those happens to be Dogecoin. Musk is no stranger to promoting Dogecoin on social media platforms like Twitter, or posting obscure memes implying that Shiba Inu dogs are "going to the moon." what do you think about dogecoin?

I don't think that Dogecoin can reach 1$ in the near- or mid-term future. Currently it's at around 0,15$ which would mean that it would have to do a x7 from here to reach 1$ and i don't think that it has the potential to do that on it's own. I also think that another tweet of Elon Musk will not really have an effect anymore, because stuff like that always only works best when it is done the first time and completely out of nowhere. Of course it is not impossible for Dogecoin to reach 1$ somewhere in the future when we are in a full steam bull market again and the overall total market cap is also increasing by a few multitudes, but in general i think that the hype around meme-coins is over.
1804  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: February 14, 2022, 12:12:12 PM
The fact is that they really improve a lot, compared to the beginning of the season. Imagine how bad they were.
Now, despite the improvements they've made in the last few weeks, and the signings they've made have helped, Barcelona are still at a level far from what we were used to.
I also find it difficult for Barcelona to be able to beat Napoli. They certainly won't make it easy, but in the end the Italians should win.

It is now very difficult for Barcelona to defeat Napoli. Napoli are very skilful this season. They are fighting to win the Serie A title. And they have lost just 4 games this season. On the other hand, although the performance of Barcelona has improved a bit, they cannot be considered as a strong team yet. Barcelona also drew 2-2 with Espanyol yesterday. In that case, they would not be able to put up a fight against a strong team like Napoli.

Barcelona seems to be pretty unlucky this season. First of all they did not manage to qualify for the play-off rounds of the UEFA Champions League, which was really bad for them because they desperate would have needed that money because they have more than 1.3 Billion € of debts. Then they said, that if they manage to reach the final of the UEFA Europa League or even win this competition then they could also earn a lot of money there, but then they received probably one of the hardest opponents that they could get with Napoli and i really think that Barca is not the favorite in this matchup. I mean they definitely have a chance against Napoli but i would not bet money on Barca to advance into the next round.
1805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A lesson to learn here I belief on: February 14, 2022, 12:05:24 PM
I find it more easier to hold coins and tokens if their worth isn't much, this means that we find it hard to hold simply because we invested too much money that we aren't ready to lose, here are two examples to back my point.

1. I always like the idea of " not selling everything ", assuming I have 1000 tokens I always sell 90% even when they are at ATH, leaving very few coins and tokens behind do have it's time, there will come a time where they add more value, remember not every ATH is the last ATH.

2. little coins that earned through airdops in 2017 they are not even close to 1$ and in January 2022 two of them did wonders, name is Avinoc and whackd token, I made 80$ from avinoc and 500$ from whackd, my main point here is if those coins have huge value at the time I would have sold them right? I took my eye off them because they have too low value...

It can be pretty tough if you are holding tokens in your wallet that you know of that you bought it for 1000$ for example but they are only worth 100$ at the moment or so, but i really think you need consequent here and don't sell those coins because once you have sold them you rally made the loss a reality. If you just keep hodling and wait for another few months or even 1 or 2 year then it is always possible that you will see prices like the one when you bought the coins or even higher ones again. So if you don't desperately need the money it is always good to hodl and wait for better times in my opinion.
It is also true that some dead coins might experience a sudden increase in value out of nowhere, then you need to be ready to sell of your airdrop coins because the price will probably go down again very fast.

It looks like Newcastle’s 92m GBP outlay during the winter transfer window is paying dividends.  They got a couple of good wins now and they’re 4 points above the relegation zone with a match to spare.  They’ve just recently won vs a tough opponent in Aston Villa.  The next match is obv vs another tough opponent, West Ham away.  Should be good imo.

But curious why Shelvey still plays the no. 10 role in a 4 - 3 - 3.  Wasn’t Guimaraes an upgrade for this role?

Newcastle took a lot of risk in doing these transfer and i would guess that they basically need to stay in the Premier League in order to keep all those new players because i doubt that those typ of players are really willing to play in the second division for at least 1 year. With the recent performances it looks pretty good for Newcastle now and i think they will be able to stay in the league. But you never know if they get 1 or 2 unlucky losses in a row then the pressure will be instantly back and huge and this could of course lead to more losses and even more pressure with is kind of a downward spirale but it don't think that it will come to that.
1807  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: February 13, 2022, 04:46:02 PM
Bayern Munich has won all six games in the Champions League this season. If Bayern Munich gets another win, the 14/15 season will catch the 7-game streak of the Real Madrid team. My personal favorite Bayern Munich, has won all its matches against Austrian teams in tournaments and is the favorite team of the Salzburg match.

Bayern got lucky and got the easiest opponent of all, now they can improve their record streak, and Lewandowski can increase his goalscoring tally. After the group stage, he already has 9 goals scored and with such an opponent, Lewandowski can try to surpass Ronaldo's record. I hope Ronaldo, despite the crisis at United, will also be able to score a few goals.

Bayern is the huge favorite in the match against Red Bull Salzburg and i was pretty sure that Bayern would have zero problems to advance into the next round here when i saw the draw a few weeks ago, but seeing the latest performances of Bayern i think everything is possible in the match on tuesday. Of course i still think that Bayern is the better team and will most likely win but if Salzburg manages to get a good start into the game and maybe even score an early goal then everything is possible in my opinion because Bayern was extremely shaky in the defense in the last week and yesterdays match against Bochum proved that again.
1808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon musk net worth is like the entire market cap of Ethereum on: February 13, 2022, 04:39:28 PM
Elon musk net worth is like the entire market cap of Ethereum.

Think about how rich this man if he put all of his money on eth it doubles overnight.

let me know your opinions.

I am not sure what the current official standings of the wealthiest people in the worlds are right now but as far as i know Elon Musk has overtook Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos a few months ago and was the richest man of the whole world for a certain time. Wealth like that is unimaginable for normal people like me and you i would guess i mean even if he would buy everything that he wants he would still have Billions and Billions after that. We also have to keep in mind though, that those super rich people don't have Billions of dollars just laying around as FIAT on their bank accounts, most of their wealth is in the form of shares of companies that they own.
1809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: About USDT on: February 13, 2022, 11:01:39 AM
Please correct me if I got it all wrong, audited projects are projects that have passed some security checkup right? As a newbie I kinda like investing in projects that are audited atleast so back to my question, USDT is the biggest stable coin right? When I tracked it on coinmarketcap I found out that's it passed audits through Certik and Fairyproof, why haven't this clear the rumour that USDT might fail someday? Because it's Centralised? If that's it then why DAI ( decentralized stable coin) haven't grow over USDT all this while?

There are rumours surrounding USDT since a few years now and they are just not going away. The reason for that is, that the company behind USDT changed the wording regarding their backing of every USDT minted. In the beginning they always said, that they have enough real USD to back every USDT minted, but now they are saying that they have enough reserves to back every USDT minted. The problem is, that no one knows if those reserves really exist and in what form they exist.
I think certik and fairyproof only audit the code and not stuff like reserves.
1810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: February 12, 2022, 09:48:34 PM

That was a bad performance by Bayern. Immediately they say „Where was Manuel Neuer?“. Sven Ulreich… sorry for him, after a long time he play a game and 4 goals are scored. Bayern have many points ahead und Theo League, that's the only positive thing today.

I would say that Sven ulreich was one of the better bayern players today and i also think that he was not at fault at any of the goals that bayern received today. It was just another one of those weird bayern performances today were especially the defense looked extremely shaky and never seemed to be really organized. The second and the third goal were absolutely gorgeous and they don't happen that often but still i was surprised that bayern had no answer after that goals of Bochum.
1811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it just luck on: February 12, 2022, 08:48:03 PM
Is it just luck that I made most of my money from shitcoins and meme coins? While people are hating I always make sure I got in early and I ended up smiling, if you bought shiba at few weeks of release you know what I'm talking about, I do get some big altcoins too but this so called shitcoins gives me the best profits.

I would say yes it is just luck. I am not a fan of meme coins and personally would never invest in such shitcoins myself because i think that  they are bad for the crypto market as a whole but it is definitely true that early investors in those projects have made a huge profit. But this is only true for those meme coin projects that were successful and i would say that only a handful of those hundreds of projects was successful at least temporary. Especially those that are coming out now are dead pretty soon.
1812  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: February 12, 2022, 07:55:18 AM

Yup, that’s why I think everything that’s ever written by the journos about which car is fast or which car is slow is all total bs.  The thing is nobody knows how these cars are going to perform until testing and until at least the first 5 races.  Like the comment about Aston Martin being the slow car...  But it is expected that they’re one of the slower cars.  Did they means slower that last year?  That would be funny cos it would mean they would be as slow as the Haas cars.  Cheesy

Anyway here’s the unveiling of Aston Martin’s car.  Vettel has think hair now.  Lmao!

Aston Martin Reveals AMR22
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLfbm5ViYfs

I just watched a little of the reveal of the Aston Martin car yesterday and i have to say that i still think that this weird dark green is the ugliest of all colors that are present on todays formula 1 cars in my opinion. I just does not fit the shapes of a formula 1 car and i also think it looked bad on the aston martin that was parked besides the new F1 car. From all the cars that have been revealed so far i have to say that i visually like the Haas most by a pretty big margin. Of course that is a very subjective statement and the visuals are not really important but that is pretty much the only impression that we have so far. I can imagine, that the new Ferrari car will also look good.
1813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING! ETH 2.0 is no more!!! on: February 12, 2022, 07:46:22 AM
It looks like our hopes for ETH 2.0 is no more! They’re gonna rebrand it instead as consensus layer.

Source: https://decrypt.co/91149/ethereum-foundation-kills-eth-2-consensus-layer-rebrand

What’s your opinion about this guys? You think this is a good decision by Vitalik Buterin? I know that there will be mixed opinions about this decision, so I wanna hear it from you guys. Thanks!

I am not a developer and i am also not an IT-expert or an expert about how Ethereum works at the moment and how it will work once ETH 2.0 comes out, if it comes out at all, but what i always understood as "ETH 2.0" was the consensus will change from PoW to PoS and that ETH 2.0 will also bring the ETH fees down to a reasonable value again. I also read a few times in the past already that it could be a misunderstanding that the switch to ETH 2.0 automatically means, that the fees will go down drastically but i still always hoped that. I don't know what the reason behind the rebranding of the update is, but it seems like they already won't to prevent that the hopes go up to high regarding the reduction of fees.
1814  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: February 11, 2022, 06:06:33 PM
It is really exciting that last 32 round in the Champions League is starting in only four days. And we are having a start with the most attention getting match which is PSG - Real Madrid. This is absolutely the most waited match and it is really difficult to make the right prediction for this one. Everything can happen in this match for real. The most probable thing seems to me that both teams would be able to score at least one goal. And maybe PSG could win like 2-1 or 3-2.

That really is the highlight of all the matches that will happen in the first round of the play-offs for sure and a lot of people are looking forward to it. I also think that the outcome of this match is extremely hard to predict because everything is possible here. For me it all depends on PSG if we will see a close match or not, because i am almost sure that Real Madrid will come pretty close to their peak performance in this match. Paris had a lot of bad matches this year in my opinion and i don't think that they are stronger than last year even though they signed messi. I also think though that the starts of PSG will be extremely motivated in this upcoming match.
1815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you know when to sell? on: February 11, 2022, 06:02:45 PM
Do you have any pattern that you see or watch in the market to determine time to sell your hodlings and take your profit ?
Do you regret not selling your coins at any point because you didn't know it will drop ?
Can you share your opinion

I don't think that you can use patterns of charts or whatever to predict when a market begins to rise or to fall or whatever. What i think though is that you can just use common sense. For example if we are in a full steam bull market in which we where from 2020 until the beginning of may of 2021 then the longer the bull market lasts the more it becomes likely that a bear market is about to begin because a lot of people made huge profits in the bull market and will begin to cash out to secure those profits.
And yes of course i also regret that i did not sell back in may 2021 when my portfolio was worth almost 8 times more than it is now but it is what it is.

1816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 11, 2022, 11:38:26 AM
If Bayern is selling Lewandovski - that could mean that they are joining the race for Haaland.
The rumor of Bayern joining the race to sign Haaland isn't a new one. We already heard this rumor since the last year and Lewa wants to move because of that rumor. Basically, Bayern has a big chance to sign Haaland if they have enough money to pay the transfer fees. Bayern and Dortmund have a good history in terms of player transfers, now it depends on the agreement about transfer fees and Haaland's intention only. If Bayern can ensure Haaland has a bright future by joining them and Bayern agrees with Haaland's costs, Haaland probably joins Bayern next season.

For me that is a rumor that would absolutely make sense for several reasons. First of all there are rumors for many years now about Lewandowski, that he wants to leave Bayern to play in England or in the spanish Primera division. So far bayern could always convince him to stay at Bayern because they offered him more and more money with every new contract and i think he is now earning more than 20 Million € per season. If Bayern has a chance of getting Haaland and if they want to sign him, then the timing could be perfect after this season. Haaland has a clause in his contract that he can leave after this season for a fee of around 75 M € and Bayern would probably still get around 20-30 M€ for Lewandowski if they sell them after this season because he has a contract until 2023.
1817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do we get more women to be involved in Crypto on: February 11, 2022, 11:33:49 AM
Just recently, I saw a project trying to get more women to be involved in cryptocurrency by organizing a pageantry, and then asked for application.
My question is, is this really the best way to involve women in cryptocurrency? Is there no better way to get them involved? Because, frankly speaking, cryptocurrency is more of a masculine affair than a feminine thing. So how do we balance this imbalance in the Crypto space?

I don't think that there needs to be balanced anything. If a woman is interested into crypto there is nothing that is preventing her from joining the crypto-space and investing into the crypto projects that she likes. It's just the reality that overall men are more interested in technology and therefore also in cryptocurrencies than women and people just need to accept that. I never like that concept of "We need to have more woman in the IT sector or in the mechanical engineering sector". If a woman wants to have a job in those sectors then again, there is nothing that prevents her from learning those jobs or studying those subjects.

It is somewhat surprising that Germany is now at the top of the medal table. I expect America, Russia, China and possibly South Korea too high. The last one I'm not quite sure. We have only just started playing, most sports are on the ice now such as skating and short track. I personally like the summer games a bit more. But, its good to see that this Olympics were not cancelled.

Yes, in one day Germany went from 3 gold medals to 5 medals. Amazing, I wasn't expecting it. But we still have a lot of games ahead and there may be more changes in the medal table.

An interesting point is also the fact that the US finally appears in the Top 10. I don't know if it's because of the pandemic or because the games are in China, this year things don't seem to be going very well in the US.

Germany always have been pretty strong in the winter olympics. Back in the olympic games of 2018 they were also on the second place after the end of the games. So it's not really that surprising that they are doing pretty well so far again, even though they probably won't win any medals in the ice skating competitions again this year, which is a sport where Germany always won a lot of medals in the past, but somehow they don't have real world class athletes there nowadays. I think it can be a close race again between Norway and Germany for the first place of the medal table this year again, but Norway probably will be first again.
1819  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is better: Ethereum or the Binance Smart Chain? on: February 10, 2022, 05:58:24 PM
Which is a better platform? Ethereum or the Binance Smart Chain? Please explain why.

Which is better is a hard question because "better" is defined by each person individually, but if you ask me which chain i prefer to use at the moment, then the answer is pretty clear for me: BSC. The reason for that is really simple and probably true for a lot of users at the moment; the fees on the BSC chain are just way lower than on the ETH chain. While a normal transfer of an ERC token can easily cost 20$ at the moment, it only costs a few cents on the BSC chain so the choice here is pretty simple especially if you are a small fish like me that only sends around a few hundred dollars worth of tokens max.
That being said BSC is just a blatant copy of ETH and if the fees would at least somewhat similar i would always chose ETH oder BSC.

after Niklas Süle (from bayern munich), borussia dortmund is on the lookout for another defender - from league rivals sc freiburg, Nico Schlotterbeck is a hot candidate should Manuel Akanji want to move in the summer.
the swiss national player MA has never made a secret of wanting to play in the premier league at any time

I have seen the news that Dortmund fans were demanding on social media that the officials from Dortmund are signing Nico Schlotterbeck after the defeat on sunday, but this was before the news of the signing of Niklas Süle were made official. So i don't know if there is still a demand for Nico Schlotterbeck now. If Akanji leaves though it would make sense of course as you already said. I can imagine though, that Bayern Munich is also interested in the signing of Schlotterbeck as they need a replacement for Süle now and Bayern is known that they are always interested in signing young and promising players that are already playing for the german national team.
