This is correct, that's the difference between investing and gambling. But it's much better to avoid arguing with the gamblers that don't have their minds open.
These types of people will argue with you until the next morning and won't allow you to win any rounds of your debate. So, just oblige what they say and you've got your own point.
It's pointless to have these arguments win by you as you've got nothing to gain, you've a point and they got a point as well that they believe they're correct above everyone else.

You can't win an argument to people who are not open to any opinion of others.
Well, if you know what you're doing, you don't need to make a debate with other people.
Just continue what you think is best for your money, because later on, they will see the results of your effort.
The will soon find out that you still have some of your satoshis, whereas, most of them have lost theirs with their bets.
So who do you think is the real winner? The one with satoshis at the end or the ones who lost it?
So for me, you don't need to win on this argument, just look at the outcome of your activities.
Yes, just try to avoid such arguments because it's going to be an endless debate for you when the other party can't accept your ideas which are correct and they're saying that they're correct on their own thinking. Even if, by analyzing what they're saying, they're wrong and yours should be the accepted fact by them. I've been into such situations and it's exhausting and will just suck all of your energy and thinking with that so, I ended up just giving them their own point so that it will come to an end. Just value your peace of mind and let them win an argument that they'll never lose.
1802  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: May 05, 2023, 06:31:01 PM
I guess Ryan might not be satisfied on how him and Goosen put up their strategy. Anyways, we will see which one his going to pick next as he wanted to go and move up to 140 lbs.
That's probably the case and no matter how close they were as seen by the public, the results will speak for themselves and will make him realize that there's a need to change. Who are the candidates that he might pick or is anyone who's got a list of the potential replacement for Goosen after this parting ways?

I honestly see nothing really great about Ryan Garcia. He is good but not great and I do not even think he will ever become a world champion. Or maybe he can upset a champion or win a vacant belt because he is gifted with power but most likely he is not holding a world title for long. There's a huge difference between Garcia and the prospect days of Teofimo Lopez, Adrien Broner, etc.

Although he seemed to improve when he was accepted to join the team of Eddy Reynoso and Canelo Alvarez. But after his popularity continued to grow, he seemed distracted and tempted to enjoy life and it leads to their split. Joe Goossen is an experienced coach but he was probably picked earlier to cater to Garcia's demand.

After sacrificing and just following all of Tank's demands, the event was a huge success. Ryan can leave boxing and enjoy his life like he seems to always wants. Or maybe his ego is touched after the loss and will return. But if he wants to develop himself, he needs a coach that is Spartan-like when it comes to training and not a coach that will only follow his wants. I doubt Reynoso will open his doors again to Ryan. Maybe Sugar Hill Steward or Ronnie Shields?
Everything that you've said has the possibilities and we will never know the actual reasons for their separation. But then, with all of the distractions, it's possible that he seems to be liking the fame that he wants to enjoy. I doubt that he'll leave boxing yet, he's still young to get out of the sports and it's too early. Not that much achievement as you've said and that's why it's going to fuel his hunger for more success for the upcoming years, whatever he does, I'll still wish him luck.
1803  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: More exchanges shutting down, Hold your Asset with You on: May 05, 2023, 05:18:21 PM
We have warned many times before these shutting downs that no one should keep their Bitcoins or any asset in the exchanges if they don't have a plan of exchanging there within that particular day. Many are using it wrongly for keeping their assets there, thinking that it's okay to keep it and that the exchanges won't have any problems in the future. Aside from being hacked, they can file for bankruptcy and you'll never know when it will happen before they give an advisory to their users.
1804  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I am only trying to stay safe by gambling less on: May 04, 2023, 09:16:39 PM
In my opinion, before we continue this conversation, we need to clearly understand that investing is a way to make money (sometimes very risky) and gambling is entertainment. I would advise against making the wrong associations in your head, as some do, and not trying to get rich in a casino, as it depends on luck, not desire, amount of money or free time.

1805  Economy / Economics / Re: Shrinkflation on: May 04, 2023, 01:26:45 PM
Quote
Shrinkflation is practice of reducing the size of a product while maintaining its sticker price.

I hate it when companies reduce quantity (and often quality too) of product to sell it at same price as before to combat inflation. Oh and don't forget those, "30% Extra" labels.

Inflation makes everything rise, so might as well keep the original quantity and just increase the price.

Do you agree? How would you combat inflation if you were running a company?
It's either of the two and there's really no choice at all but to choose one of them. Reduce the size or quantity but maintain the price or retain the quantity, size, and quality of what you sell then increase the price. I am a bread lover and the bread that I used to buy has actually shrunk those bakeshops understand the need for them to adjust because of the higher price of ingredients, mainly flour and wheat. If I own a company and produce products, I don't want to pass the burden to my customer and will choose to adjust at least the quantity/quality. But before doing that, I'll try to make a survey of my loyal customers about what they prefer, an increase in prices or the same price but an adjustment in quantity.

So, it seems that they are on the blaming game now and I wouldn't be shocked if a similar news will explode that Ryan Garcia have cut his ties with his promoter, Oscar Dela Hoya, although, I'm not even sure if Garcia can do it now (this year) because he got a contract under Golden Boy. I guess, we'll know about it soon as they are now on a hot mess. It all started when Oscar didn't show up in the post-fight press con.
I don't think that he'll do that with the Golden Boy. It's entirely a different matter that he should address. There can also be some real life and personal matters that he has to settle with Goosen, we don't know though but soon he'll for sure going to prevail it.

It's just a matter of time before there will be higher authorities that will knock on Meta's door and will bring and invite them back to Congress or the Senate to talk about these scam shits that are appearing on their platform.
They'll be grilled as to why they're doing nothing to protect their users from these scumbags. And just as the news about them that they have to distribute the $700M+ to their users and pay for the data that has been exploited. It won't be surprising if there will be another lawsuit but this time, related to the scams that they're not filtering.
1808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Government's actions against crypto on: May 03, 2023, 11:23:03 PM
There are still many countries that are friendly with crypto. As far as i know if USA is far better compared with china or rusia in term of giving crypto some spaces to be developed.
The USA is just strict but you've said is a fact that the latter countries are stricter than the USA. Still, there are the people that have been doing things on their own hiding in their government related to crypto.

As long as you can agree with their regulations and it's fine for you to build your crypto company in their territory.
That's the main point. The only problem if US regulartors are still trying to build the regulation bodies to be implemented for crypto soon.
And with those that I've been reading, they're going to tax it a lot. India is like 28% or more than that. To think of those percentages, it will literally make you think if you want to take those profits while them are just waiting for it for every individual who's gonna take profits.

The second map was tight and got me hoping for a third map but unfortunately, Talon's advantage was just too much in the late game.

Hats off to PSG.LGD for holding on for so long because I already thought the game was over when Talon was building up their lead nicely around the 20 min mark and they're putting pressure on PSG.LGD in every part of the map.
They're commendable with that and I can say that NTS really did play well for helping the entire team with his Timbersaw. But enough is enough and they fell short as Talon was the better team. This roster of PSG.LGD doesn't look really strong as of the moment because they've ended up too early on this tournament but then I'm sure that they'll come back stronger. And for some news about in one SEA team that's overhyped which is the Blacklist Rivalry, they've taken Kpii as their pos 3 while Kuku moves to pos 5.

Are we also going to see that Zeus that Micke has been practicing in the pub as a pos1 with that shard/chain lightning talent? That's interesting and I haven't seen someone has played that on this new update and on this major.
Hopefully not because i've seen it in my pubs and the hero is vulnerable in team fights like drow or sniper but IMO worse since the right clicks don't dish out that much burst damage. I still think Zeus is better off going for the usual magic build.
It didn't happen but still Team Liquid going to face Team Aster tomorrow.

What a heck of game between Talon and LGD on game 2. It goes on 72 minutes which is equivalent to 2-3 games in total. Good job on LGD on prolonging the game since they are already left behind by exp and gold on early game due to Talon aggression but they manage to keep up and manage to even the game by being patient on farming Sven core items before he enter on clash. Nothingtosay is one of the reason why LGD manage to recover because of tankiness of his timbersaw.

I bet -1.5 on Talon and I’m really frustrated watching the game enter this long game while Talon has a chance to end the game quickly. Sometimes 23savage being scared and keeps farming without realizing the enemy hero is good on late game. I didn’t finish watching since I thought they will lose but I’m glad that they still won in the end. LGD new carry has the moves that can be like Ame with more exposure on competitive scene like this.
Actually it was a one sided match during the early to mid game but then, LGD was too good when they've managed to prolong the game but NTS' timber and shiro's sven isn't enough to stop 23's naga siren. It's too fat and while magnus of zeal did a lot of mistakes, still shown some good plays. But if it was done too early and those mistakes of wrong reverse polarity's, I think that they'll be able to get back too soon.
On the other match, GG made easy two wins against OG. I just can't accept that, LOL. A very one sided match.

Such a scapegoat with that bet he's offered. Well, he's able to get the attention of everyone and probably had added up to the hype that he's trying to build during that time. Maybe it's all planned and this is part of his scheme. I'm a believer that someday Bitcoin will reach $1M and even higher but then not with the span that he's betting for. We could give it to him that he's able to gain the attention of the masses and the media for having this type of bet regardless of the result and his decision of closing it out.

There are a lot of things needed to be done for your casino, like just hovering the mouse to your login, it needs to change the icon of the mouse instead of just the static icon of the mouse. Anyway, welcome to bitcointalk forum as it looks like a static and mobile website.
Too many spaces haven't used into its maximum use. Maybe you want to submit that report to the designer and have its full use as it looks like a mobile website even if you visit through a desktop.
I will submit report to the designer and Thanks for your advices.
You're welcome! If it's about being responsive on your website it is truly like that but it's on the wrong version which is for desktop users.
That's why it needs to have some changes, especially on the design so that it will be fitting those visitors and bettors of yours if they're using a desktop and not mobile. The current one is likely to be the responsiveness that it should be through a visitor using a mobile phone. Anywy, thanks for noticing that suggestion of mine.

Now that they're in the lower bracket I hope they sweep XG as I have them in a parlay together with Team Aster +1.5 and i'm surprised Team Spirit is this favored because in my view Team Aster is performing at a similar level.
I think the odd was based on their run on the group stages. Team Aster ended up 5th on the group stages while Team Spirit came from 3rd on the group stage and top bracket of the playoffs and then just fell into the lower bracket. Well, the match is on going right now and I'm favoring the line up of heroes of Team Spirit instead of Team Aster but honestly, I want Team Aster to prosper and move to the next bracket.
It's just 8 minutes of the game, 6-3 and this KDA is currently in favor of Team Aster.

Yeah. Odds is based on stats besides Aster is far inferior by Team Spirit in past tournaments. Chinese team is not the power house region since the last year patch. They can’t catch up anymore on western country team especially the WEU and CIS. I think the new patch gave them an edge to be on equal grounds again on western team but let’s see if they can still keep up until the end when everyone is already familiarized with the new patch including the combos.

Surprising Gaimin Gladiator is still performing very despite every team is crumbling to have a very consistent gameplay.
Thanks to sumail, they are now advancing to whoever will win against Team Liquid and Xtreme Gaming which is the upcoming match. Are we going to see two Chinese teams beating each other or this is for Team Liquid? I think that this is going to be Team Liquid's match but we'll see.
Are we also going to see that Zeus that Micke has been practicing in the pub as a pos1 with that shard/chain lightning talent? That's interesting and I haven't seen someone has played that on this new update and on this major.

Ethereum (ETH),Binance Coin (BNB),XRP (XRP). how to choose
You've just mentioned some of the most known altcoins in the market. Choose any of them except XRP since it's got an active issue against SEC so, I wouldn't get my hands on it.

how to distribute the interest on them?
If you mean by interest in how you're going to like them. You DYOR and that's how you'll gain interest on them. Because without such and you're just randomly buying them, you'll have no idea of what you're doing. It can also be said by buying these, you don't get an exception just because they're the popular altcoins in the market. And another understanding from this question is how you'll distribute your allocation on them, it's up to you.

Looking at the basic fact about the limit of bitcoin according to the protocol for the bitcoin network,it was design with a limit of 21 million coin.
My question now is are cryptocurrency miners be unable to generate new bitcoin after it reach the 21 million coin limit?
Since there are over 19.15 million bitcoins in circulation if am not mistaken.
The keyword was already said, limit.
No longer possible to generate new bitcoins after it's been reached. But you don't worry about that because it's estimated that it will be more than a hundred years until the last bitcoin will be mined.
So, we're no longer here anymore and that's likely.
While the answer to your question is, miners will work just to confirm transactions by that time if Bitcoin still exists by that year.
that's an interesting point too.
Yeah, interesting and yours as well. Any thought that you're having is valid but I don't think that most of us will still be alive by that time. Even if I'm also a bitcoin believer and holder, we don't know if by that time bitcoin is still a thing. But as of now, it's here to stay and we're all looking forward to its future. It's good to know about such situations and about these things but then after knowing what will happen by that time, it's best to have that focused thought into accumulation and that's much better for us to get back on track and that's to accumulate as many bitcoins as we can. It may not be a whole bitcoin but you're doing your thing and you've got a progress.
1818  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: April 30, 2023, 07:03:26 PM
These were really crazy thinking and one of the worst effects of gambling addiction. But don't think that it's just with a gambling addiction but also with other types of addictions where the vice is requiring money. I don't get it that these people even think and try to harm their own relatives just because they're too severe with the situation that they're in as they want to gamble. He's an old man and sad to see that he's come to an end in his old age like this.
You are right, factors causes addictions.
Let us not talk about the extreme mile of an addict, So many things in life contributes to the WHY behind every addiction. Before an addict crosses batteries like stealing just to satisfy his or her desires,  breaking up in a relationship order than elude the act, and so many detrimental decisions,  there is something merchandising the whole heart. The first and most important thing I will mention is depression.
A lot of people are depressed in different ways which one wouldn't know if not told. The hunt for money has frustrated so many life such that they have no hope than gambling and this is the first cause of addiction before the effect of addictions.
And this is the next level of addiction. A lot of factors, personal and nonpersonal can make someone this crazy. It's truly a madness and effect of those factors that one can do.
A depressed person wouldn't do this and wouldn't harm anyone and will just think of his own welfare. But this is another different situation he thinks that taking money from his very own relative and blood will make suffice it.
Well, it's very clear that doing such should never be tolerated, and if someone is feeling to do something crazy because of gambling, think of it many times.
1819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never Expect Consistent Winnings From Gambling - A Lesson I Learnt. on: April 30, 2023, 01:07:36 PM
Gambling is a huge business but not for us. You can make it as a business if you've got networks of referrals or you're an influencer that's known in the gambling scene. But if you're just someone who casually gambles, yes, this isn't a business but just some way you want to enjoy and expect a little to get some profits and it's not daily. It's a terrible idea to quit your job and replaced it with something you're still unsure about. His emotions got him that he'd be lucky every day but that didn't happen, well, he's got an iPhone, he bought his hoe an iPhone and enjoyed it with his money. Maybe if that's what success to him, he'll just rely on that memory he's got but still too hard to deal with in that situation.
