1941  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury - February 26 in Saudi Arabia on: February 26, 2023, 11:47:51 PM
I am looking for news to know who won this fight, I confess I had no time to watch (in fact I never have time to watch fights because I keep watching European countries' leagues games), so when I finished the NBA game I was Watching I slept 30 minutes and then I remembered this fight, when I look on Google to know the result of the fight I do not find, I do not even know if allut has already started or if you are still fighting or if you are over, in any case who won the fight? I hope it was Jake Paul although it seems improvable, since I only heard comments he would lose in this fight

Tommy won via split decision. Personally I would have given it a draw especially with the late knock down from Jake. I hate it when fights are so close like this and someone loses their 0. I don't think Jake deserved that point taken off either, but credit to both of them. They both seemed pretty evenly matched and you can't say Jake isn't a boxer now because if he isn't then neither is Tommy. I actually think Jake got some of the better punches in but Tommy did seem more composed which is expected given he's been boxing for so long. I'm sure they will do the rematch now. Jake seemed to want it and Tommy is up for it so it makes sense.

I wasn't able to watch the full fight though, I just had the score for Fury first 2 rounds and I was not surprised to see Fury winning although it was reported that there is a knock down scored by Jake Paul. But maybe Fury is already ahead of the judges score card and could have score it 9-9 if Fury did score at least even if he gets knock down.

Yeah and with this kind of "controversial" results, maybe a rematch will do, and of course, the big money in the table for the second fight that Tommy Fury can't refused.
1942  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solana was recently down, again! on: February 26, 2023, 11:37:12 PM
I guess no one hears about this one because of the numerous times we have heard this thing happen to them before.

And that they have lost their investors already because of this issues and with this, it doesn't sit well again for their name and their reputation. They should have at least monitoring their projects in case their is a bug (I understand that it went to rigorous testing and that their developers and QA testers did their best), but things like this can happen so in that case they should be in stand by to avoid this big issues again. Although it has been resolved, as wise investors, I might stay away from this projects, not saying that they are scam or can't be trusted. But we should put our money wherein there should be no issues or at least not the same as this project as it seems they can't get away from it.
1943  Economy / Economics / Re: Cash is not trash on: February 26, 2023, 11:27:34 PM
If the whole world go digital, then maybe you can say that cash is trash because obviously, we don't need that paper in our hands. But in as much as majority is going cashless and paperless and digital, still though some countries like here still uses cash, specially in developing countries.

So it's not as trash as crypto fanboys would think and I guess this is just exaggerated and out of proportions.

That's why I have also some cash in my money when I go out although a I have our local cash app here, like Gcash will some money as well in case the store chooses to accept digital payment. But base on my experiences, small stores prepare cash although they have that option to accepts Gcash payment, I'm from the Philippines if someone will have to ask.
1944  Economy / Speculation / Re: Expectations for March?! on: February 26, 2023, 11:16:20 PM
I will be bullish for March still, I think we can get to $25k, just in the last 24 hours, we have a good pump and hopefully we can maintain around that $23,500 to $24'ish as we enter March.

And so it's just a thousands of dollars pump and I think everyone is waiting for the biggest barrier to be reach and broken again. CPI reports might be that catalyst and hopefully it will be a positive news for next month. It's just the question of how we are going to sustain the price at $25k again.
1945  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 26, 2023, 11:02:14 PM
Lakers vs Dallas turns out to be crazy, Lakers down 27 points in this game, but they are in control of the 4th quarter, with James and Davis leading the way, but the Mavs keeps fighting back and so it's a back and forth game.

It will be the biggest comeback and no team has made it when down 27 points or more.

So let's see if James can pull this one out again in history for him.
1946  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 26, 2023, 10:52:35 PM
Makabu, Ilunga - @1.52
Jack, Badou - @2.60
We don't really need a parlay as the odds are still profitable even for the favorites.

The fight is now ongoing between this two, I haven't beat on this fight as co-main event.

But so far it's very close in my opinion as of 6 although Makabu was down already in the 4th round.

Could be fitting win for Badou if he wins this fight in this comeback, and say that "he has that chance to become the first Muslim to win a title in Saudi". So let's see how the fight goes.

It was a war between this two Warriors, specially Jack Badou who I thought might be in the twilight of his career and might not be in his prime. But he dominated this fight from the beginning although I have Makabu winning some rounds.

But round 10-11 was completely dominated by Badou and then referee stop the contest already by the 12th.

Yeah, I read that Jack Badou won the fight with 12 round TKO and was dominating the fight. It was a good decision by the referee to end the fight early because Makabu is unable to continue and even if he is able, he will only receive more punishment and it is obvious that the fight is already won by Badou unless of course Badou gets knocked out.

And now we are just waiting for the result of Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury.  I am still thinking why does people booing Jake Paul?

Jake Paul is supposedly be the villain role? remember when fans used to boo Floyd as well because they all wanted to see him lose? But those are the fans that go to live events, spend thousands of dollars to watch them in the fight and hope that they get knockout or get a L on that record.

The fight is still ongoing though, so let's see how this goes, and who is going to be knockout as for sure, both of this boxers are going to be tired as the fight goes on.
1947  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: February 26, 2023, 10:42:02 PM
This is a good matchup for Donaire, and I have a feeling that he will be the favorite in this fight once the odds are out. His opponent has three losses, but is a very active boxer, having won all three fights last year.

I believe most of the posters here will be rooting for Donaire, but it would still be nice to put up a poll to determine who has the majority of the votes.

If Donaire is listed as the favorite, I doubt he will be a heavy favorite. He's coming off a big loss against Inoue, so he doesn't have much momentum, unlike Santiago, who is currently on a winning streak.
And to think that Santiago is a lot younger compared to Donaire, even if Donaire will be the favorite here, surely this fight will be hard to win for Donaire but if he will focus on their camp’s game plan and improve his performance in the ring, then we will see Donaire beating up Santiago inside the ring. But I must say, Santiago is never an easy boxer, with all his winning streaks last year, his vigor and fierce in boxing is incomparable.
There's really nothing to improve for the veteran anymore but more like polishing mistakes and keeping the game to his advantage. He is beyond his prime, this is not the time to take the risk of throwing haymakers that may ruin his chance to get the belt again. Be a veteran, and use whatever he learned from his broad experience in this division.
Santiago will surely be the aggressor here because this will be his first highest title fight. I would not be surprised if he will try for a knockout.
I also doubt a heavy favorite for Donaire like 1.10 - 1.30. It's good news for gamblers like me. Cheesy

More likely Santiago will be 3:1 underdog against Donaire, that's seems to be the trend for this handicappers in boxing.

Yes, nothing more to teach this old dog, he is already a veteran and maybe we can see some of his old move already but it's more polished. But for sure he will go down to his favorite left hook to finished the fight.

Or counter more as he is also known to just go box in and out with that counter left and right to confuse Santiago.
1948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury - February 26 in Saudi Arabia on: February 26, 2023, 10:35:31 PM
I'm just watching it from free streaming in Facebook though, hehehe

Not much on the first round 1, Fury using his jab though, but I don't like his stance, his hands are down, probably show boating but Paul can hit that hail Mary right hand.

I gave the round to Tommy, 10-9.
1949  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 26, 2023, 10:21:42 PM
Atlanta Hawks - Brooklyn Nets

I'm watching this game on stake.com and it's being a very balanced game, with the Hawks having a little advantage, at this rate the Hawks can win this game by a small difference in points, and the nets need to stay focused and calm and avoid making mistakes, every time they are only 2 points apart or even with the same points as the Hawks they start to make mistakes and the Hawks manage to stay in a 5 point advantage, it has been like this in every game and I am not seeing changes, so I see the Hawks winning this game but for a small difference in points, I'm waiting for the odds to increase so I can take the risk of betting on the Hawks to win the game

It's gonna be a close game, but I will also agree with you that the Hawks has a good chance to win this game on their homecourt.

2 minutes to go and they are leading by 4, but to increased the odds though, the Nets will have to comeback and tie or even take the lead for that odds swing. The good thing with the Nets right now is that it has balance scoring, from Bridges, to Dinwiddie to Cam Thomas to Cam Johnson.

New set of players that brings more from the Durant trade.

Edit: Trae Young with a difficult buzzer beater, Spencer behind him and almost block the shot.

As they have said, the new account was flagged down by their system, because it was created from a device and ip addresses that requested a inclusion. So it's systems against your word here.

Usually they gather:
a. IP address
b. Device that you are using
c. OS of that device and other footprint that they can say that it come from the same person/account.

Since you already gave a address to send your funds back, then you have to wait 60 days.

1953  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There is no way to know unless I ask on: February 26, 2023, 09:38:18 PM
There is no way to get more knowledge in this crypto world than asking questions from those who are here before me, so friends, I will like to know if it's slightly even possible to get insurance on your bitcoin holdings? I've heard about this before but honestly, I don't have anyone close to being doing this, maybe someone on here insured their Bitcoin or it's just a fad.

I don't think this is a stupid question to ask on this forum so please take it easy on me if this sounds stupid, because, Bitcoin is decentralized, any possibility that insurance can cover something decentralized? Or you gotta give it up?

Not sure what you mean by insurance since when you have bitcoin, you control of it, as long as you have the private keys and mnemonic phrase, hence the phrase, non-custodial wallet.

But if by chance you store your bitcoin to an exchange let's say Binance, they have control of you bitcoin and or crypto. You can also get at least some sort of insurance if Binance gets hacks. But if you yourself was lose it through hacks on your account then you can't get anything from them. Not all crypto exchange though as SAFU.
1954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 26, 2023, 11:50:57 AM
Oh well, didn't see any of the games that I bet, Raptors won by didn't cover the spread.

While the Nuggets was blown away by the Memphis specially in the second quarter when they were out scored 33-22.

And now there were interviews and they say that they have their swagger back, Lol.
1955  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Here are list of very useful chart patterns to learn and make money in crypto 🫡 on: February 25, 2023, 11:55:18 PM
Thought it was a site but I ended up opening my telegram, I don’t think this is a good idea to share information but it looks like you have a good followers already.

If you can give a more useful links to discuss these patterns it can be a big help, to beginners this is good if you are still learning trading and still learning how to use these patterns.

Yep, it's obvious a click bait as he has to point it to his telegram account, and I will say that it doesn't sit well with some of us here who have seen this kind of strategy before.

If there is onethread that can help traders, I will recommend this:

Trading Cheat Sheet Collection

It's an old thread but still relevant in my opinion.
1956  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bye Bye Bear Market :) on: February 25, 2023, 11:45:53 PM
25k is a strong resistance that bitcoin has not been able to break for the first time. If this repeats a few more times and bitcoin don't gets above 25k, we will probably see another drop, maybe even to the old bottom. By the way, the situation of stock markets around the world does not give hope that we will see good growth.
Bitcoin has passed $25K during February, but a correction is inevitable. At the moment we are only away $2K from $25K, certainly not that far but hard to stay above $25K when a lot of traders and the market tends to sell a lot instead of holding it. Several attempts to hit $25K also failed in the last few days, but that doesn't really indicate a deeper correction like you said.

For the time being, I don't think the price will correct further just because bitcoin failed to hold above $25K, but a small correction is always possible due to the influence of high selling among traders in the market.
Right now the price is around $23k and trying to keep up the resistance to stay above $23k by the falling week. The price that wasn't able to be above $25k dropped down all the way undergoing correction and reached $23k. Based on the upcoming week's start only we'll know whether this gets maintained or we gonna undergo further correction as selling is high from the traders.

I'm looking for the first 2 weeks of March to have a recovery, it's either $25k or we are going to fall back to $20k.

Either case still very good movement though, if we hit $25k then we might to go $30k. But it is goes down to at least $20k, time to buy again and keep accumulating BTC, so still a win win situation for us. And by any case, we shouldn't think that we are in a bull season, bears are still in the market and will do anything to pull the price. Not manipulation per se, but they wanted to buy when the price is low on pushing the market to make a huge correction. So still up to us on how we are going to play.
1957  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: February 25, 2023, 11:35:20 PM
Yes, let's just wait if we can watch this fight without having to pay huge price, hehehe. Much better if we can used that money to bet and try to get to watch it for free from some streaming services or those who are willing to share it in social media like Facebook.

But I like what @serjent05 says, we still need to be very careful, there will be a lot of clickbait websites out there that might take advantage of this event to install malicious malwares or anything that not only harm our computers, but those who will steal information.
1958  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: February 25, 2023, 11:25:19 PM
@danherbias07  - It was the Olympics though that Roy Jones was robbed of the gold medal, so it can't be compare and that was a long time ago. But in any case I agree that Fulton needs to go to Japan and handle his business with the Monster.

That's the only way he can really gain the respect of being a champion, but beating Inoue in his home town. Going to be a big task for him, at least he is willing to take that and not avoiding him.
1959  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Figueroa vs Magsayo WBC Interim Featherweight Title (March 4) on: February 25, 2023, 11:15:05 PM

Both have different styles and so I doubt that Brandon will mimic the style of Rey Vargas just to win. He has his own way or strategizing in this fight and fight Magsayo the way he knows it.

But for sure it will be his volume punching again, nothing will change a lot here, that's already what we call bread and butter, and that style has been working for him for many years except against Fulton who took all his best shots and received some as well.

Some versatile boxers can do the same strategy when they find their opponent is weak.  In this case, Vargas had exposed Magsayo's weaknesses, so there is a possibility that the camp of Figueroa will implement the same strategy.  It would be lucky for Magsayo if Figueroa will fight him toe-to-toe and do not take advantage of the reach advantage.

On the other hand, I believe Magsayo had studied Figueroa's fighting style and strategies, I hope his camp can find the weakness of the opponent and devise a plan to exploit it.

Might be, Vargas strategy though is to use his length against Magsayo by using a lot of jabs, and Brandon is not known to jab, he is a very definition of brawler, even in the first rounds of the fight against Fulton, he uses his aggressiveness and try to wear out Fulton. But Stephen was intelligent enough to grab him the moment he goes inside. So I'm seeing the same Figueroa in this fight, same strategy, he will try to wear you down with his volume punching. So it's the sheer volume of Figueroa. But to win against a volume puncher, Magsayo should be accurate enough, even if he has less output, if he is accurate then he has a good chance to win or maybe score a knock down in the later rounds.
1960  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My $300 bet won $417,000 on: February 25, 2023, 11:04:51 PM
Always remember to only bet what you can afford to lose and gamble responsibly

I like this your concluding aspect that gives a calm but serious advise for the wise, when we gamble and win or loose, we shouldn't get discouraged because things were not thesame in gambling with individuals experience, when some gamblers win others loose and so the trend continues, we can use others experience and work our own best practices from theirs and learn, some winning also motivates but does not determines winning or loosing.

Usually, we get over excited when we see other gamblers winning big amounts and then we take big risks thinking we can achieve the same results.

This is a bitter truth that most of the times people will lose in gambling and moments like this when you spend 300 dollars and win over 400,000$ dollars are very rare. People do come in gambling after seeing such big returns and want to change their fortune in days but actually very few times they succeed.

True that, in gambling, it is hard to duplicate the winnings of others.  I am also amazed at how good @OP in predicting the winner of the match.  It is quite hard to win especially in a parlay.  And I think @OP is lucky to be playing on a reputable Sportsbetting platform since he has no issue withdrawing his won amount.   As we know, we have seen lots of cases posted here of a player denied of their winning and the sportsbook acuse them of anything that will justify that sportsbook's action.

he mentioned, he only betted on sports he has high knowledge. so it means, he's pretty comfortable with his bets because he knows very well the sports. i guess, that's true to most successful bettors. they know the sports very well, so it is not too difficult to place their bets with. and coupled with luck, they can really hit the jackpot. but yes, do take note that this fate is not for all gamblers. very rare that you will encounter gamblers with this kind of story. so people should not think that this is quite easy feat.
As you've mentioned people shouldn't think it an easy thing. Making a prediction about the outcome of any game is not simple and it requires big knowledge as well as understanding about the team and the players involved. It is true that OP have been following the matches for long and this had made him highly skilled. Similar outcomes were possible only when we've got skills and luck to favour us. OP made himself skilled and luck got stuck along with it making the bet a jackpot win. These kind of wins were very rare to experienced.

Yeah, that's what you gotta get with your skills on sports and then some luck on your side. His bet is already even huge for a single bet, but he make it higher when that big number of games parlay that is hard to hit.

But as we have said, he love the sports and following it for many years that he knows the team or even those individual events that he bet. And then all the stars align that night for him. So no easy feat indeed.
