2061  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SYNC]X11 | POS| 1,000 Coins| Mandatory Update on: May 24, 2014, 04:18:23 AM
I was away due to unexpected circumstance, I am observing the blockchain before releasing any update to speed up the minting.

Welcome back! In your absence, a few crawled out from under the bridge...
2062  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MAX] MaxCoin - Alive and Kickin' on: May 24, 2014, 04:12:31 AM
I think I can hear wedding bells...

Auditory hallucinations? Perhaps you forgot to take your antipsychotic meds.

You said it yourself, it might be possible for a large team of people with the requisite skills and enough backing to do this and make a home-brew implementation, but mass producing it successfully is an entirely different ball game as the example you gave shows. Why are you so determined to troll maxcoin anyway? Don't you have better things to do with your time other than ranting and raving about stuff you have no interest in or involvement with? If you don't like it, then GTFO and stop trolling this thread. Maybe go and do something constructive instead of hating on the work of others. Butthurt can a powerful motivational force, almost as powerful as greed, fear and jealousy.

you really are a niave idiot arent you?

I am not trolling Maxcoin and never have... I just hate people that perpetuate myths so that they can pump up the price and dump their coins... if I am guilty of being butt hurt.. then you my friend are guilty of perpetually maturating over your keyboard to images of Max Kaiser bathed in gold coins.

honestly if you are going to keep calling someone a Troll and a Liar.. at least be honest about yourself. all you do is endlessly repost and retweet the false informaton that Max kaiser and the dev team put out... to serve nothing other than their own agenda...

PS

you have no right to tell me to GTFO... you do not speak for the community... you do not even help the community... you didn't even donate 20c to maxpay.... so who are you Huh?? NOBODY...

I have probably mined more than you and did more to secure the network than you.... From day 1 I haven't mined on 1GH on principle. From day 1 I have been an active participant in this coin economy and contributed as well as spoken out where I have seen issues that need addressing...

so you wonder why I don't like people like you?... well its quite simple.... I ask for more community engagement from the Maxcoin team and this is who they send to represent them... a shameless pumper who doesn't know much about economics or crypto currency....

and with that .. its time to hit the ignore button...

Jesus. You seriously need to relax my friend.

Who am I? Ok then. I've been involved with bitcoin since 2011 and ran a fairly successful bitcoin service business which traded on the GLBSE back in the day. I am also the maxcoin community manager as appointed by Luke and the dev team, so I DO speak for this community. I have contributed plenty. I set up and host the forums at maxtalk.org, I created the maxcoin faucet which has given away hundreds of coins for free and provides useful charts and network/market statistics to the community, I set up a maxcoin wiki and have tried my absolute best to convince the mining community to move to other pools, I assisted with patching the Time Warp exploit of the kimoto gravity well, helped resolve the seed-node problem that the maxcoin client was having for several months, I post frequently on twitter, reddit, maxtalk, bitcointalk and also regularly frequent the exchange troll boxes. And if you actually read ANY of what I write, you would see that I do not want to pump/dump this coin and have a very concise understanding of economics and the fundamental technology underlying cryptocurrency. I'm also mining with 12 GPU's at about 2GH/s so clearly do my bit to secure the blockchain. In addition, I HOLD my coins rather than dumping them like you so proudly admit. I haven't sold a single one of the coins that I have mined, and in fact, am probably bag holding some of yours. How the bloody hell does not donating to MaxPay make me a nobody? How much did you donate again? And I do this all in my SPARE time. I'm a medical doctor by profession, working as a senior house officer in Ireland.

You clearly don't give a shit about the blockchain or the risk of 51% and are happy to leave that problem to your bagholders, as you have made clear in your previous posts. What do you do other than bitch, complain and moan? Oh and not to mention mining maxcoin just to instadump on the markets? How deluded are you that you think you are contributing to the maxcoin project? You have nothing to add to this community. NOTHING. In fact, you are a complete PARASITE and MAX would be better off if people like you stopped mining it and GTFO like I politely suggested in my previous post. And I will repeat that request again. PLEASE... either GTFO or get off your high horse. You are not king of the moral high ground. Throwing your rattle out of the cot like you just did just shows how incapable you are of having a rational discussion with.

I'm sick of listening to your whinging and moaning, but I'm going to be the bigger person and NOT ignore you.
Good day sir.
You sound like a busy man!

From my side, you were quite helpful earlier. Haven't yet recovered the coins, but I did resolve the synching issue. I too am a busy man, so I haven't had time to fiddle with the broken wallet.dat file, but that's on me. I don't get the hate. There are some rather... vengeful people in this thread. You ain't one of 'em.
2063  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SYNC]X11 | POS| 1,000 Coins| Mandatory Update on: May 24, 2014, 03:52:44 AM
3 hr deposit to polonex  .. Undecided

It will take a while for the chain to speed up, and then your deposits will go nice and fast again.

It took 1 Hour 10 minutes and 10 second from block 8200 to 8201
It took 25 Minutes and 27 seconds from block 8201 to 8202

So if my math is correct (and it usually is not) block 8203 should be found in roughly 10 minutes
won't comment on your math, mine sucks.

But I'm curious if you know why PoS coins start so slow? Is it the network adjusting to the changed difficulty?
2064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SYNC]X11 | POS| 1,000 Coins| Mandatory Update on: May 24, 2014, 03:16:44 AM
Honestly, I hope it works out, and any of these potential obstacles can be overcome or simply clarified. I'm not trying to lose anyone money, and I held some sync myself.

However, people should know some of the risks involved in this particular instance so they can make more informed choices. Too often these threads are a bunch of people just telling each other how many Ferrari's they are going to own when it all takes off, rather than being more hardheaded about their investments. Either that, or they wilfully ignore and shout down any glaring issues just to pump their assets and leave some other sucker with the bag. Which is scummy behaviour.

A realistic conversation should be possible.

I'm not willing to call shenanigans just yet. Dev seems a decent sort, and has already indicated he's working with others. I think he misstated the staking requirements, as every other PoS coin I've looked at or dealt with staked on any amount above zero. But it does take longer with smaller stakes, and it does run a higher risk of generating orphans. This is not really a big deal, though a mined block that the network don't accept is annoying as hell Cheesy

Give it a minute, people. Seriously. This was an incredibly smooth launch. It glitched when it hit PoS, and that was really the only speed bump so far. Name two coins that launched smoothly in recent memory? I can only think of one, and it's market has about died.

Worst case, we lost a bit of money. Maybe quite a bit. That sucks, but it won't end your life, or the universe, or anything like that. Call it a lesson learned. All new things are a gamble. I didn't risk more than I had to lose, which makes me a rather small bagholder if it all crumbles. But I don't think it will.
2065  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SYNC]X11 | POS| 1,000 Coins| Mandatory Update on: May 24, 2014, 02:25:59 AM
Because staking is the only thing securing your network, and processing blocks and therefore transactions???

Do you even understand how the fuck PoS works?! Jesus Christ.

Are you trying to tell me that all other altcoins without PoS are insecure?

educate yourself on how these things work
saves you looking like a total idiot

yes professor

now go shoot yourself

PEACE!!!!

Proof of Work secures non PoS coins, and helps to secure hybrids, such as TEK. Flaming secures nothing.

remember, peeps, the multipools were unable to dump this last night. Give it at LEAST a day from block 8200 before you freak about the price. Then watch the volume drop and the price rise  Cool
2067  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [2014 FLAGSHIP ALT] *EarthCoin* EAC +1 Community, +1 Exec Team, +1 Best Talent on: May 23, 2014, 09:35:43 AM
The problem, as I see it, is that all of us on the dev team are volunteers, with only the coin itself as incentive to our time. In my case, that is enough in most ways, but I have to pay the bills of a growing family as well. I can't speak for everyone, but we're all busy people and doing the best we can in our spare time, of which there is precious little.
If you team didn‘t give up,tell everyone what’s the plan for EAC please. When the new wallet will be released in the website?
How will you do for raising EAC prices? If EAC's price lower and lower, many people will leave away.
I like this coin,so I hold the eac,I hope it will be better and better.

New wallet should be released any time. I have to double check, but I think Linki said it was done. I know it's been in testing for a few days now.

I think the best way to raise the price, right now, is to use the coin to buy silver. Also, to promote it as a payment method.

We have definitely NOT given up.
2068  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SYNC]X11 | POS| 1,000 Coins| 15 mins mining left| NOW ON MINTPAL on: May 23, 2014, 06:05:17 AM
http://sync.multipoolmining.com/
Displays lower hashrate on x11 than i got, why? I have about 50mh and site only display me 38-40mh.
switching pools always show a lower hashrate than what it really is. Don't know why, it's just what it is. If your miner is showing a decent connection and you are getting accepts, it will wind up the shift fairly close to your miner's indicated hashrate.
2069  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SYNC]X11 | POS| 1,000 Coins| 15 mins mining left| NOW ON MINTPAL on: May 23, 2014, 04:39:53 AM
has pow finished?

yes! some minutes ago.
in the next hours POS should start (and confirming the last 50 mined blocks too)

Hours for POS to start?  That seems...awkward.  No further transactions will go through until we have block 7201 and beyond, right?

that is right, but maybe POS starts in some minutes. i can´t say when this first stake is incoming, maybe someone can Show a screenshot if it is happen.
It is my understanding that staking is already taking place, except that you don't have mature coins until thirty days. My wallet shows a stake weight when I run "getinfo" in the console, and also a little arrow symbol on the overview page that says "Not staking because you don't have mature coins" when you hover over it. Similar to other PoS coins I've played with. So long as your wallet and several others are connected to the network, it'll keep generating blocks. What I have no idea of is the block times. In some coins it seems to speed up significantly in PoS mode. Lower diff or something.

Warning I have already seen some pool continue to work in a vacuum if you are really tired now go Multipool

lol, i believe you...what's the point of them working in a vacuum?

same as yours. Lack of caffeine Cheesy

Sometimes the ops just don't catch the jump in time. Plus, they usually leave the pool up for people to withdraw funds, and sometimes forget to disable the mining port. I've seen it a couple of times on limited issue coins.

I'll stay with the main thread after this. But I got something to say.

One. There is a small but vocal group on this site that will cry "scam" if someone states that the sun rises in the East. I'm looking at you, Hippie Tech/Amenstop, whatever you're calling yourself these days. You ain't the worst, but you are part of the "it's a scam no matter what" brigade.

Two. coin developers with no premine probably have an agenda or a hidden premine. See AsiaCoin, SHAcoin... I don't trust a developer who isn't actively trying to make a buck off of his creation. Call me crazy if you like, but capitalism works, unlike EVERY other economic system ever conceived.

Three. If you don't like a coin, so fucking what? Somebody will. Value is subjective. I actually like Sync, but I suspect it will be short lived. I hope I'm wrong, but the coin I believe in longterm is Bitcoin. The one that I have more faith in than the rest combined other than bitcoin is TEK. But you never know. DOGE comes to mind whenever I feel the urge to dismiss a coin utterly.

Four. Why go into attack dog mode on a dev for a TINY premine in the first place? Ask, sure, but do it politely. There's no reason to see this as a scam that I can see. A shot in the dark, maybe, but not a scam.

Five. GROW A LIFE, Trolls in general. Nobody cares if you feel good. In fact, most of you make us wish horrible things on you. Not because of what you say, but how you say it.

You can download the new Windows wallet here: https://mega.co.nz/#!EgcxSL4T!6UbuHfzqqq5hEfTnqURUz5cGBaUcpZnKHG98H2Enu3M

more features coming

I like the new wallet, great work keep it up

He's working hard on adding block explorer, exchange stats and multi-pool stats

Adding to the wallet? That would be very cool..
+1

That would be awesome some multipool stats on wallet

Just perfect (innovations one of many) has began, worry about nothing, wait for POW to finish then deep dive development, this coin has a chance to beat up bitcoin in a serious way
+1

Not enough coins to blow out Bitcoin. Sad to say will never happen. I would see DarkCoin doing it.
I think you're looking at it wrong. Why beat on bitcoin? It's "gold" in the crypto world. This is more like... I was gonna say platinum, but it's not as rare. Maybe iridium?
2074  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SYNC]X11 | POS| 1,000 Coins| 1 day mining left| NOW ON MINTPAL on: May 22, 2014, 11:38:36 PM
We had insane hashrate throughout the PoW and the launch was fair to ensure wide distribution. I'm just like you all only managed to get 0.3 mined so far  Grin
I bought in mintpal 0.31 at the price of 0.64 .. hopefully as soon as the price goes up instead of down instead

After the last multi-pool dump?  They are dumping today right
when the price will go up?? mintpal price now at 0.5-0.6
Price on Mintpal has been above 0.6 most of the time and it's currently 0.62.
During the last 24 hours it has not been below 0.57 once, so stop your FUD
You see in mintpal now .. already begun to fall from 0.57

Last Price
0.56200000
24 Hr High
0.86000000
24 Hr Low
0.56200000
Volume 24 Hr
BTC 144 924

I hope that does not go down again
It likely will. Up till a few hours after the end of POW, the multipools will be dumping. It's what they do. If I hadn't blown my wad on mining, I'd view it as a buy opportunity.
Following the POW period, our multi will be doing that number on other coins Cheesy

I am currently "solo" mining at tek.crypto-expert.com. Nice pool, why nobody there?

I'll have a go at it, at least a few USBs worth.

Not to burst anybody's bubble but I can pretty much guarantee we won't see 240 GH on the multipool when POW ends. Probably nothing close.

Don't get me wrong its a very interesting idea and I think it will have some success, but in order for the multipool to work, somebody has to be selling their Sync for these altcoins. the multipool doesn't create Sync out of thin air.

So if everybody is holding their Sync and trying to mine on the multipool at the same time we have a problem. The multipool will be reliant on alt coin pumps to increase their value against Sync. This allows them to buy sync cheap. Otherwise they won't be able to exchange them to Sync for a profit (or atleast profits will be reduced). It will be more profitable for the miners just to mine the alt coin and get off the sync multipool.

The only way this multipool works is if people are selling their sync at a cheap rate as well as mining on the multipool.

well you just made the point of multipool very clear.. We do not generate coins (=impossible wit POS), we just make them more expensive!
So if your scenario above comes throug we will be doing very small payouts, but with very high value!
e.. payout 0.00001 SYNC with a value of 100 BTC/Sync  Cool

This is wrong and I think you misunderstood my point. Sync are paid out by the multipool because people are selling them. The only way this multipool works is if sync holders sell them for whatever alt coin the multipool mines. Unlikely.

So we are stuck in a scenario where the sync holders will only sell their sync if the alt coins are in a pump and their price is rising in comparison to Sync. Otherwise why would they sell their sync? But if the price of the alt coin is rising, it becomes more profitable to mine the alt coin and NOT exchange it to Sync. So people jump off the multipool. This is why I said the hashrate on the multipool will be significantly lower than during the POW mining stage.

I misunderstood you first time out, too, and was going to comment on it. With this post, I think you hit the nail on the head.

Conversely, people gotta pay bills. So I think it likely the multipool will continue to drive the price upwards as SOME will want to sell. Plus, when it hits the staking stage, people will likely take profit on that, driving the multi as well. Basically, thirty days in is going to be interesting.

That being said, I cannot see the multipool driving price upward very much once POS is fully invested, just a small, steady pressure. Other things need to be in place to keep the value rising. Dev seems to have a lot of things going on for after POW is done, so we'll see. I find the coin very interesting, along with the whole PoS dynamic that seems to be the mania right now. I have some serious reservations about the whole concept, but it's a weird enough thing that it just might work.

I've also seen few launches go as smooth as this one, so that's encouraging as well. Bonus launched real smooth too, but it was obviously a short term coin right from the announcement. Cool ride, but then the carnival leaves. I profited well from it, and now it's dying. I hope this one does much better.

Dear Luckycoin community,

Please join the new Luckycoin mining pool!
pool.luckycoin.cc

Get Lucky,

Titan

Well done Titan, you must be one of the most dedicated dev's, so many just abandon projects.  I wish you were working on Earthcoin lol.  This coin should be worth more with regular updates and android wallet.

Anyway would it be better to start a new thread with updated info for the 1st post?

I wish he was on our team, too. But I do have to make a minor correction. EAC does have an android wallet, and it works well. I know, because I use it.

Still no payout from the multipool?  I hope they bought SYNC while the price is low.

Any ETA on Multipool payout? also how many SYNC can we expect based on shares?

we have ended the shift #1 for SYNC and are preparing payments as we speak, just a few more moments for your SYN to arrive!
Meanwhile testing X11 ALGO!

Confirming my first payment, and it was a bit better than I had expected, given that my hash is only one gridseed. While I could wish that all the stats and what not were functional, I am doing well with this pool. And the guys tell me on irc that all the goodies are in the works.

Good job!
