2081  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why hoard Bitcoin? on: August 10, 2021, 02:59:31 PM
We all have different reasons but most likely it is all about its market value. Personally, I hoard Bitcoin coz I think and believe this could be more valuable in the future. I may be right or wrong but this is a matter of choice and we all have the choice also how long we keep hoarding and how much we have to keep. Maybe in my life, this was the tough investment I've made. I put more funds in here particularly in Bitcoin but I have faith, and this makes me keep thinking I was doing the right thing and the right decision.
2082  Economy / Speculation / Re: People are panic buying right now! on: August 10, 2021, 02:26:33 PM
Haha now people are panic buying now as you can see bitcoin price already bounce back from $43,000 and back to $45,000 now just within a day. Those who saying bitcoin already end when it was fallen to $30,000 will regret it to didn't buy on that time.

LONG LIVE BITCOIN! TO THE MOON!
It is not panic buying but considers this will be FOMO. These buyers are afraid to miss the train before the Bullish start again. How do I wish that Bullrun will come back before the year-end but also I was thinking on the negative side what if this is just a trap, something huge drop happen next?

Even there is a massive price increase in the market, I will still be careful with this situation. Maybe I could say that I was in regret of selling it earlier and are not able to wait for the price surge, but knowing that we can't predict the market, it seems to be okay at least we are already secured and in profit.
2083  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance squeezes users on verification on: August 09, 2021, 11:25:34 PM
As it is really important too because that will give you benefits too, for example when you're getting to your account from different IP addresses, the framework will regard it as “suspicious” and will briefly suspend withdrawals from your account to secure your resources.

Being anonymous comes with great risk as well, that's why I agree with you that KYC verification is very important to protect your account. When your account is verified, that means you are legally using the exchange with your identity and even another 3rd party can help you in case the time will come that the exchange will face a problem and the 3rd party or regulators will take over.

Exchanges today is like banks.
And besides, KYC is not new to us, most of us are already aware of this and many had already complied with this to some legit exchanges( including me). With the decision of Binance I've never seen any wrong about this instead, they are helping us on how to protect our account and funds. As this was the intent for the security, I certainly have to follow and submit, not unless if the site was suspicious.

I foresee this KYC will become mandatory not only for Binance but this will happens across all exchanges in the future.
2084  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blockchain casino Vs Traditional casino on: August 09, 2021, 05:33:59 PM
I never heard of a casino that is called a blockchain casino, or if I hear one maybe they are not anymore existing now. What I think is that blockchain casino is not a feasible business, people want instant outcomes and it's only possible if we don't rely on the blockchain for the result.

Blockchain is used for payment system verification only, that's the current setup now.

Plenty of time before they will resume, no more speculation as PBA has already announced their schedule of conference resumption, and hopefully, there will be no more disruption after they will resume.

By the way, Reyes seemed to be doing a great job with the TNT.

2086  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the most optimistic result of Bitcoin? on: August 06, 2021, 03:45:26 PM

I don't know if it's been said but I think that the most optimistic result for bitcoin is for it to become fully adopted by every countries around the world and we still have what we were enjoying back in the day in terms of privacy because the regulation were relaxed or doesn't have any bad section in it that compromises bitcoin's privacy. Of course, the prices increasing astronomically is an optimistic result too but it can only go a long way.
Having a positive crypto market condition is already an optimistic result of bitcoin but it will be more valuable and will be acknowledged even more by the people if bitcoin will definitely become a reserve currency of fiat  legally. I know we are heading there slowly but surely.

However, bitcoin  as a good asset or store of value is also something we should be thankful for. I think the process of adopting bitcoin in the government legally will really take so much time so i suggest better enjoy the essence of bitcoin what we have at the moment.
2087  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Taxes on gambling send the right message? on: August 06, 2021, 02:41:46 PM
Many countries including my own are taxing services and products that they think are luxury items, this is to limit people from using and patronizing the products and services, that includes cigarettes, liquors, and services being offered by casinos, so poor or average income, people will not use or patronage these products and services, casinos are heavily taxed because they only want rich people to go there and because they can bear the high taxation because their players and clients are rich people.
is it called Sin Tax right? together with salty foods and vices .
I think that applies to products only, but for gambling which belongs to entertainment, that is not considered as sin tax.

Yes, the tax is still high as casinos are very profitable,  but most regulators are focus on taxing the casinos themselves than the gamblers who are risking their money which we know they will still lose in the long run. When we say entertainment, people who go to the casino are just having fun, so they'll spend, you can't tax people from spending money as tax usually is charged to income.
2088  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin as a speculative asset or as currency on: August 06, 2021, 02:02:46 PM
More of a speculative asset, institutions are investing in bitcoin for that reason, they might adopt, but maybe later when bitcoin is less volatile. As we can see, the market is very volatile and it's not free from manipulation, in fact, the manipulation is rampant as people are less educated about the real purpose of crypto, so it cannot be an effective currency if it's so volatile.
2089  Economy / Economics / Re: Will some companies like Amazon really 'store' Bitcoins? on: August 06, 2021, 01:44:30 PM
If they will adopt, they don't need to invest, the purpose of adoption is for the payment system, and they should treat it as a currency than investment. However, they should not only be limited to currency, they can also invest if they believe that their adoption will result in the increase of the value of bitcoin in the long run.
2090  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Man lost £20,000 in one night after becoming addicted to online gambling! on: August 06, 2021, 01:21:12 PM
One of the primary reasons why people stay addicted for long is to win big. They think a big win will solve financial and all other problems in their lives.
For this very man greed was his problem £20000 is a huge sum that can afford a very lucrative business. Giving such huge amount on gambling shows his high level of greed and people of this kind can do anything just to make money not minding if it's legal or not. I wish he recovers soonest because this can cause a man to commit sucide.
but he regrets this the rest of his life , meaning he is also a small time gambler who only tries his chance of a lifetime but failed . maybe this will be remembered all the moment of his precious life how he managed to lose a amount in which can change his life for goodness if chooses the right decision.
No, he won't regret that for the rest of his life. He will regret it temporarily but he won't bring that forever, he might bring that for a long time but I doubt that he's going to regret that forever.
He's going to remember how reckless he was and that's for sure.

That's just money, you can earn money but if you lose your health because you can't live a normal life anymore, that's bigger than the money you lose. Losing big money is not good, but we can always move on and live our life, try to improve our life financially by working hard, and be positive going forward.

There are gamblers who lose a lot of money due to addiction, but eventually, they beat the addiction and live a normal life, some people even still able to return in gambling but more responsible.
2091  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Can I earn 1 bitcoin in 1 year through bounties ?? on: August 06, 2021, 10:51:17 AM
I think, working in the bounty industry for 1 year earning 1 BTC is a myth.  In terms of value, it may take 4-5 years.  But not necessarily achieve that, working with bounty you will have the opportunity to invest in those projects to quickly increase your value.  This way can maximize the benefit value and this is the plan I use.

It depends on the success of the project you are working on, if bitcoin will dump like back to $10k again and altcoins will boom, then I would say it's possible, there's a big chance of course. In the past, I made more than 1 btc through bounty hunting, but I believe now the chance is just very slim.
2092  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Signature campaign increase ICO credibility? I see few good ICOs recently on: August 06, 2021, 10:20:50 AM
Signature campaign can improve the exposure of that particular ICO project.

The problem is ICO is not anymore a good investment, even if you hire the most popular and the best poster in the forum, the rate of ICO to be successful is still very low, the main reason is that the crowd sale platform has already evolved, people are looking for a safer form of crowd funding.
2093  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: August 06, 2021, 09:59:14 AM
If Pacquiao has the most important advantage, why isn't he the favorite in this fight? Bookmakers are ready to answer with money for their analysis and they give a clear preference to Spence.
Sometimes I am very sorry that in sports we always see single results and cannot assess the overall picture. Sometimes a random event happens, but in the absence of others, we recognize it as natural. I think if Pacquiao wins it will be something similar.

Pacman is the underdog because Errol Spence is younger, bigger, stronger and Pacman has not been active in boxig after his fight versus Keith Thruman. Spence is also presently higher than Pacman in the best boxer pound for pound rankings.

However, you question Pacman’s speed hehe. You can watch Pacman’s heavy bag training on youtube and compare this with Spence heavy bag training.

The speed of working on a heavy bag is very dependent on the impact force you put into it. I think I can’t appreciate it from the video. In addition, watching the video will not give an answer about what state the boxers will be in on the day of the fight (it is always easier for the young to prepare, so Spence has an advantage here too).

You also have to remember that Spence will be coming from an injury due to the car cash that happened last 2019.

Regardless, based on numbers alone, the fact still remains that Spence is younger and bigger. But against Pacquiao, who is also a southpaw, and has tremendous experience in fighting, I do think that he has the edge here. His skill, knowledge, and speed can literally dominate Spence in the ring. Most fighters that fought Pacquiao underestimated his speed and they only acknowledged it after their respective defeats.
The 2019 car crash with Spence was no excuse as Spence returned to the ring in December 2020, when he defeated former two-division champion Danny Garcia in twelve rounds.
and Pacquiao's last fight was in 2019 against Keith Thurman and Pacquiao knocked him out in the first round and after that he was out for more than a year, and although spence is younger and taller but for Pacquiao it doesn't matter because he is used to fighting with bigger ones , young and tall but he can beat him.

Spence has fully recovered, that crash happen a long time ago, he is fully healthy now and he can fight toe to toe against any opponent. In fact, people believe that he is the stronger fighter here, hence making him the favorites, and that's enough confirmation that he is back as a champion.
2094  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Never Trade On Emotions on: August 06, 2021, 05:39:14 AM
Avoid panic selling, the point is don't make a sale when the price is below the initial price, hold it first, then losses will not occur because in the future the price may rise again if the price continues to fall, then buy again if you have more money. Do your research first, don't make a purchase when prices are peaking
The right time to buy when the agreed price is low it is not possible to reduce the risk of losses if the currencies continue to go down when the price rises. Seeing that the crypto market is not stable, we have to wait patiently no matter which way the market goes losses will be less and it is easier to make a profit in the future.
As long as we believe that the market is still small and has not reached its limit yet, we should be confident in holding and buying especially if we think the price has already dipped. Judging the market situation should not be hard if we have the basic knowledge and enough experience because basically the market moves with pattern and it is always possible to see a big dump before it will start a new bull run.
2095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happen if US ban cryptocurrencies? on: August 05, 2021, 04:35:03 PM
yes interesting if they banned cryptocurrency, they have started to destroy it, because we know that almost most of them have cryptocurrency in their wallet account there will be a world of peace that makes the wheel of life spin  Roll Eyes

That's an accusation, no one knows if they owned cryptocurrency or not, but if they decide based on biased decision making, I think that is not good as it's not good for everyone. US are open with crypto AFAIK, in fact, they regulated crypto and there's plenty of bitcoin ATM machines in their country, so I don't see any reason why they will ban crypto in the future, unless they cannot monitor or regulate it effectively anymore.
2096  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will BTC fall below $20,000? Bargain hunting? on: August 05, 2021, 04:19:36 PM
I saw a lot of posts from various users claiming that they will accumulate Bitcoin once it gets below $20,000 per coin. Was there any reason to target this level? We had an ATH of $64,000 per coin a few months back. A better target would have been $32,000, which would mean a 50% correction. By targeting the 20K level, the expectation was kept at unrealistically high levels. With the entry of institutions and corporates, I don't think that such sharp corrections (64K to 20K would mean a correction of 70%) are anymore possible in the Bitcoin market.
maybe because it saw the price drop quite sharply, and even though it was a correction, many thought that it was a pretty big dump. however, currently, the price is still in the $39k range. we don't know if the price will return to $20k or not. however, even though it's not based on any sources, at the current state of affairs, I think it's fair enough for a lot of people to worry about bitcoin going down at that price. well, but, I still really hope the price of bitcoin can continue to grow after the price correction that occurred. in fact, I also read a few days ago on cointelegraph that their speculation low was also up to $20k.
Like me, I also hope that the price of Bitcoin will continue to rise. As the price of Bitcoin continues to rise, good fortune will also be experienced by many Altcoins. I'm sure, this year Bitcoin will exceed the price in 2017.
Be realistic, in any investment, even in stocks, it's not possible that we will just always see an asset continues to pump, that's not normal anymore. See as the current market situation as a normal one, in even pump or bull run, correction is always necessary and that is to make the market stronger.
2097  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Olympics 2020/2021 : Discussion & Predictions on: August 05, 2021, 02:00:24 PM
Either way China has always had a strong position on the Olympics and it proves a great competitor for the US. Let's see how it plays out but I have the feeling China will outperfrom this time

Looking at today's standings, China has a total of 34 gold, superior to the United States only 29 gold. The difference of 5 gold is quite far I think. Although I don't have detailed information about the rest of the Olympic games between China and the United States. But it looks like China will continue to excel and be the overall champion in this year's.

I also think that way, I believe that China will finally dominate the Olympics.

They are the country that experience covid-19 and they are also the first to neutralize the vaccine so their life is back to normal first compared to the USA who struggle for quite some time before people got vaccinated. In a normal situation, I think the USA will still dominate but let's give credit to China this time around.
2098  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tokyo 2020 Men's Olympics Basketball Tournament on: August 05, 2021, 12:58:06 PM
What a sad moment for the Slovenia team. They did great and the game was really tight that they had the chance to win it.
But Batum, he won it with his specialty, his defensive awareness and a game winning block. We don't see it happen a lot of times, mostly in NBA only.
i.e. Lebron block, Iguodala, Ginobili.
That was fun though, real exciting game. Slovenia still has a chance to win the bronze medal and that will be their first medal in Basketball Men.
Slovenia had a strong comeback in the 4th quarter but they fell short. So now, we will again see the first game (FRANCE vs USA), it's a rematch and I like this one since France had proven they did not win by luck alone, I'm sure they will still give a problem to the USA, so let's back the FRANCE to win the spread.
2099  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: August 05, 2021, 12:26:10 PM

absolutely , at Pacquiao's age , he had proven the skills and ability most gamblers dont have.

he maintained his quickness and accuracy so he will still dominate this fight.

I believe he has the quickness and accuracy and that is his advantage, however, I don't think it's an easy fight for him that we think he will dominate in this fight. I'm seeing a close fight, just like a Thurman fight but in the end, Manny will be declared as the winner.

Spence is a better fighter compared to Thurman and Pacquiao was 40 years old when he fought Thurman, now he is 42 and he fought a younger fighter, so everyone was really thinking it's a hard fight for Pacquiao and it could put him into retirement. But of course, for believers like me, we always believe that it's gonna be an easy fight for Pacquiao and he will dominate again.

Its hard to tell that it will be an easy fight for Pacman knowing the professional record of Errol Spence where he is undefeated and almost all of that win is by Knock-out so for sure this will never be an easy fight for Manny since first I believe he is not in full shape since he is not mentally focus as he has so many controversy goes so far in Philippines plus age factor will possibly shows here so I hope this is not the retirement fight of Pacquiao if he lost to Spence.

This is different compared to the past fight of Manny Pacquiao because Thurman underestimated him but Spence never underestimates Pacquiao and he is training hard to give his best in the fight. So we should expect this and all our war, if we are looking for real entertainment, this should be it.

I never heard trash talks from Spence, and actually, they don't need a trash talk as people know this is the biggest fight of the year.

It will be sold out, no matter what.
2100  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: (Olympics Boxing) Carlo Paalam vs Ryomei Tanaka on: August 05, 2021, 12:00:15 PM
I hope that Paalam would win this match and bring home the gold medal for the Philippines this time. In the Filipino language, his last name means goodbye but I don't think it would be goodbye for him but I see a new beginning. Ryomei is a good boxer yet I see more perseverance and eagerness to win in Carlo.

It's most likely goodbye to his opponent, lol.. He is still young, after this fight, if he wins the gold, he could still come back next Olympics, or maybe he will start with his professional career as I'm sure he will get a good promoter like MP promotion. Just one more win and he will get the gold, all his fights are impressive so I would not be surprise if he will be the favorites in the final match.
