JanEmil - nice one, it's a happy theme! what did you use for the eyes?

xSlyy - great result, a lot going on there. Did you use Onions too? the image is a bit dark
to make out all the details.

xsyren - welcome to the forum and what an entrance you make, that is a fantastic result, love
the theme.

I think the last 3 are definitely BTC themed

Gijon atp final was not as one would hope it was totaly one sided for rublev it was an easy 2 0 win but it was good to see rublev and dominic thiem in such a good shape, it seems that thiem is getting slowly to his shape by each passing tournament.

I would say Thiem could be a real force next year, he could challenge for a grand slam again
at some stage.

I have been following the tennis over at San Diego

snip

Over at the WTA San Diego, two more semi finals are scheduled later, Swiatek v Pegula
and Vekic v Collins. I think Pegula has a small chance here against Swiatek, the odds are 1.35
to 3.15. IMO Swiatek has not looked super convincing in some of her matches but I think I
will back her anyway regardless, the best handicap I can get on Pegula is +4.5......hmmm

Swiatek beat Pegula comprehensively in the semi and Vekic beat Collins after a lengthy
delay in their match meaning she had to play twice yesterday. I doubled my bet on Swiatek
with a handicap of -5.5. The match went to 3 sets with the last a bagel for Vekic.

Swiatek dominant again.

Yes! I have added a link to the front page of my site and to the links page, I have no idea the reach
my site has but at the least there are two links to your site which will help with SEO on a small scale.

Let me know if thereis anything else I can put on my site which will benefit.

I'd only be interested in collectible items which could be displayed privately at home rather than something I'd wear or anything like that, simply due to the privacy concerns already mentioned.

Obviously, you could frame a T-shirt if you wanted too, but it's not something I'd particularly be interested in doing. Judging by the interest of the rewards we had for an April fools, condoms were a popular choice Tongue.

Me too, as are many others! I would be interested in a collectible item and with a unique
design rather than something simple like a BTC symbol and HODL or something.

So yes I would be interested but not a mug or cap or tee.

Obviously not due to privacy concerns like Loyce said (lookup $5 wrench attacks). Also — I love Bitcointalk, but I don't need to be a walking advertisement for it lol; the same reason why I wouldn't normally wear a Reddit, Google, or Twitter merch. That's just me though.

Yea, same as that, I dont want to be going around advertising the fact that I am into
Bitcoin although realistically I wouldnt expect to get bashed over the head and mugged,
I mean I carry a smartphone and a wallet, anyone could be mugged for either of those.

I have a bet on Ireland to win -34.5 @ 1.91 !
Those first two games are very one sided, goes to show who are 2 of the powerhouses of
Rugby League!

Rugby Union

WRWC

I have two bets on for this weekends games, both are underdogs, Italy against Canada,
the odds here are a bit strange, these teams should be evenly matched. I took Italy +10.5 @ 2.07
and South Africa +8.5 @1.67
, again I would have thought South Africa V Fiji would show
Fiji being the underdogs.

My two bets on te WRWC came in, Both Italy and South Africa lost their games but within
my handicap ranges - all good.

Rugby Union

Round 5 of the URC kicks off this evening. I have 2 bets on this weekend, Ospreys host the
DHL Stormers, The stormers are favourites to win this one. I also have Benneton to beat
Edinburgh who are playing at home, this is a massive test for Benneton who sit in 4th position.
I took them at 5.0 to win, it's a long shot.

My pic on Benneton to beat Edinburgh was VERY optimistic and they were absolutely beaten
out of the stadium by 53 - 8. They are probably the best Italian team but they will have a lot
to do when meeting stonger teams.

. . . and a bit of a rarity happened between Ospreys and the Stormers - draw match 16-16,
well donr to the Ospreys, I really thought they were going to be happered.

if you are fast you can get a 50 Bitcoin random stickers pack for free at Madex.art and only have to pay the shipping costs (in my case CHF8)

https://madex.art/products/madex-sticker-pack

Thanks for that link cygan, I managed to grab a set but haven't received them yet, hopefully
this week. I see from the link now that there is a cost on them.

I have to say I never gave any thought to keeping or collecting stickers before you created
this thread, thanks for that!

I haven't but has anyone bought any stickers from that Etsy search link I posted earlier?

Andy Murray lost today in Gijon against Korda 2-1 , Murray was the underdog so it was not shocking that he lost, the American is one of my personal favorite young players, i saw him play a couple of matches before, he is pretty good, he didn't quite blow up but he's still young, i'm pretty sure he can win a big title in the future.
After short break this is the highest reach of Andy Murray reaching Quarter Final. In his previous tournaments he used to end with group stages or by the third round. As age pass, his performance keeps moving downwards. More young players are ready to dominate the tennis world. One amongst them is Korda.

Yeah, I think this is the highest that Andy Murray has reach in a tournament thus far, so it's not that bad however still very tough tournament for him as he lost to a young Korda.

So Korda will be facing Rublev now. I will go with Rublev in this one. I thight Rublev has some confidence but probably this will be extended into 3 sets, I reckon.

Andy Murray is finished and that happened a long time ago. Now he just plays tournaments and if he gets to the quarter finals its a big achievement for him. He goes on the tournament just because those tournaments invite him because he is a large name, but he aint a threat to anyone.

I would say he will retire soon, He isn't progressing at all. He can still get through the first
round and maybe the second round of a competition depending on who he plays. He
got to the quarter final here mostly because there were not as many top players. It's a
pity but there has to be a time when he pulls the plug.
2148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: October 15, 2022, 04:15:44 PM
Right now we have an event ATP - SINGLES Gijon Spain Thiem and Rublev won their quarterfinals now going to have tomorrow their semifinal in this event with Carreno-Busta is having hard time against French man Rinderknech with third set is right now play with the score of 1 each set for both player and third set is level with the score of 3 - 3 most chances Spaniard Carreno-Busta will be won this match and after this we have last quarterfinal between Murray vs Korda here in this match American Korda is hot favorite for win.

But, I am expecting good fight from Murray which is doing good in last few matches and trying to have the best result for him which is difficult but still possible.

Thiem didn't make it through to the final, he was beaten in two sets.  Rublev will now meet
Korda now in that final. Just checking back over that competition and I see Rublev
is the highest ranking player there.

topple the unbeaten Leinster, but I'm going to hold eventhough Connacht can be

Hi All,

Just an update on the missing orders.

There are 5 orders which have not been received. Because there was no tracking involved
it's difficult to locate them obviously

It looks like from this thread that I am not bothering on doing anything but I have been
trying to get info on them.

With my last call to the postal service they advised me to fill out an online form which until now was alien to me
and report the issues for each one which I am entitled to do, so I have done that.

** The issue is that all packages to the U.S have to have a customs declaration sticker
on them but it is something that is done at the post office by the staff there and I wasn't
aware that such a sticker was needed.

I AM GOING TO LOCK THE THREAD UNTIL I GET A FINAL RESULT FROM THE MISSING PACKAGES.

YOU CAN STILL PM ME.

2151  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [FREE RAFFLE + CAVEAT]7 / 8 limited edition BCB prints 🔶 Whats the catch? FULL on: October 14, 2022, 12:23:46 PM
Hi all,

Bit of an update:

There are two of the packages which didn't make it through customs, they were
destined for both MoparMiningLLC and Suzuki Matt. Because I have the tracking
numbers I can see they are "stuck" and in the case of Mopar's it should be back
with me for resending. I have asked Matt for his address again in order to complete
the query with the postal service for his.

** The issue is that all packages to the U.S have to have a customs declaration sticker
on them but it is something that is done at the post office by the staff there and I wasn't
aware that such a sticker was needed.

So partly my fault that this issue has arisen - apologies.

Is anyone following any of the tournaments currently running?

ATP - Firenze Open
WTA - San Diego

I am watching the match between Swiatek and Zheng at San Diego and have a -4.5 handicap
on Swiatek. It's getting close to not being met if Swiatek wins in 2 sets....
Lucky, the match moved to the third set. Iga Swiatek won against Zheng at the third set, 6-4, 4-6, 6-1. As you've mentioned the match moving to the third set have got this match to be a winning handicap. In the Quarter final Swiatek to play against Coco Gauff.

Yes, what a relief, Swiatek pulled away in the third set. I forgot I had a -4.5 handicap on
Badosa to beat Chirico which she did easily 0-6, 3-6 so that was a handy bet.

Coco Gauff will probably be a slightly bigger challenge for Iga but she is still favourite
1.44 - 2.7. I'm not sure if I'll bet on that one, I can't get a ?.5 handicap on Coco, I would
like a 4.5 but Rollbit are offering max 4.0...
2153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: October 13, 2022, 09:00:24 PM

Yes, we have discussed as to who is going to take the leading position. But those guys doesn't have the same mentality of the big 3 or 4 way back. I mean if Medvedev becomes the number 1 he should at least won many tournaments by now. But it didn't happen and then Alcaraz took over, and so all eyes are on him, if he can maintain his position and lead the new pack or will he melt out under pressure from fans and background noises from behind. We have seen him lost to a relatively unknown player and that could not be a good sign, in my opinion. Consistency is the key here.

In my eyes there is way too much focus on the smaller tournaments. In the end, there is only one thing that's matters in tennis and that are the grand slams. So who cares that Alcaraz lost against an unknown player in a (smaller) tournament; even Federer/Nadal/Djokovic have lost matches against unknown players.

Hmmm that's a big statement. Yea the Grand Slams are what they are, there are only
4 annually, they pay the biggest prize money and are very prestigious but the lesser
tournaments have their part to play too. Some are more important to different players
for various reasons, that's why they keep showing up trying to win them.

Yes, of course Grand Slam are the biggest tournament and the center stage in tennis. But we also have seen 250 masters and up tournament that really mold great players to become successful in Grand Slam.

Of course everyone losses, but what I'm trying to say is that top players needs to be consistent and take every tournament seriously even if it small or mid or the big 4 Grand Slams.

Yes absolutely, another target for the top players is getting into top 10 and challenging
for the number 1 position. All the tournaments from 250 upwards play their part in
rewarding players with points which go into the journey to the top, they have to take
all tournaments seriously then!

That's a massive parlay win for $1. The tricky one in that is Wales to beat New Zealand.

The first game this weekend could be a close one, Scotland and Australia are evenly matched,
and both teams need to get a win after being beaten last week. I think I'll go with Australia.

Second game, USA should beat Japan

France v England In game 3 is massive, two closely matched teams, I just might back
the French underdogs.

Italy Canada could be a great game, evenly matched again, probably Canada here IDK

South Africa should win the last game of the weekend.

I'll investigate the odds a bit more and make a few bets.

Rugby League

Men's World Cup this weekend !!!!

2157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is an economic recession bearish for the market? on: October 12, 2022, 03:00:37 PM
Bitcoin will see increased prices as soon as we start recovering from the recession. Others have touched upon it, but during the very start of a recession, everyone is filled with panic, and due to the drastic changes are usually worried about putting food on the table, let alone investing in a newish cryptocurrency.

So, basically buying power goes down, which results in less coins being moved. Exactly what happens with fiat systems when the market crashes. People don't have the money or the will to spend their money, which results in businesses feeling the pinch. It ultimately takes time, and adjustments by the people, and governments to mitigate the effects. Once we start to recover from the recession a little bit, that's when people have more buying power, and are coping with the recession. Not only that, they'll look to alternatives since they've just lost a lot of money being invested in a fiat system, which is the direct cause for them losing their money.

So, when the market starts recovering, we'll see increased buying, which in turn should increase prices.

That's it, currently goods and services are increasing in price which means a lot of
disposable income is being used up so the demand for investing is reduced.

In some cases investments will be liquidated or part liquidated in order to cover
increasing costs, and in alot of cases wealth will be moved into recession proof
areas like property.

Unfortunately Bitcoin currently is not being realised as being recession proof,
It will take time for more people to realise this.
2158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hodlonaut Trial on: October 11, 2022, 09:25:14 PM
But I think strategically Hodlo really doesn't want the narrow win, he presumably wants a win that says "Wright wouldn't be able to convince the court that he was satoshi and so couldn't prevail in a defamation claim"

If that's going to happen, maybe that could be referenced/used in future trials CSW is/will be involved in, saving people's time and money. From that I know, that could be possible, but I don't know if cross-border.

Yes, I was thinking about this on the drive home from work today. This case could be the one
which starts the crumbling of CSW's house of lies and so could be an extremely important case.

snip

It seems Wright's side views this as an opening, essentially going for a "it doesn't matter how fraudulent wright looks now, at the time the statements weren't justified" although I don't see how that works out for him if the courts impression is that he's more likely than not actually Satoshi-- which I think is extremely likely.

snip

That's a bit worrying that the court could see CSW as actually being Satoshi, especially
given all the evidence by KPMG of all the fakery.
2159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hodlonaut Trial on: October 11, 2022, 12:16:41 PM
Hmm seems like the defense are concentrating on the time specifically around when
the tweets were taking place. They are trying to say at that time the concerted attack on CSW
was baseless.

2160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: October 11, 2022, 06:16:33 AM

Tsitsipas being an young player have got good support and can base. The years of experience keeps Djokovic ahead of Tsitsipas. Similar kind of game took place few months back in the Italian Open Final. Djokovic and Tsitsipas played the final and Tsitsipas won the match 6-0 75-65. Today's match looked like an much easier win for Djokovic. However Tsitsipas used to give the best in all his matches.

It is not only experience, Djokovic is just on another level than Tsitsipas. I think a lot of people have very high expectations of Tsitsipas but until now, he has not really lived up to the high expectations. Granted, he is still young (24 years old) so he got some more time to grow further.
Tsitsipas didn't not live up to the expectations of tennis fans, i was one of them and thought he's going to be one of the new big 3 or something but i was disappointed, and other players that i thought the same about them are not showing up at all, like Thiem and Zverev, we should give them more time though, they are young still, maybe after Nadal and Djokovic retire we'll see some big competition between them.
This was a big year for Tsitsipas. In every tournament he used to have some improvement. He used to cross the group stages and in the Rotterdam Cup reached the finals and unable to win against Felix Augur. This increased the expectation over him on the upcoming matches. Further there is disappointments and some good play in single and doubles. After the retirement of the big players, Tsitsipas will be on the list competing for those positions.

Yes he will be up there at the top positions competing for tournament wins but he won't be
alone, If Felix AA can beat him there are others who will too. Alcaraz being one and we could
see a lot of clashes of the two
in the future, also as Rabi3 mentions, Sinner could be up there two.

I really like Sinner but I feel his development is slow, I really hope 2023 will be a bigger
year for him.
