You did well calling those games. I'm still mulling over whether the Panthers or Eels will win this week-end.
I saw the second half of the Women's Australian Prime Minister's XIII take on PNG. it was painful to watch when the score got to 60+ - 6 at a near empty Lang Park venue.
TBH I'm thinking on adding another bet on the Eels. This could be their year. And as I said a few times already they have proven they can get the better of the Panthers already this year. They are out to 3.55 on Rollbit, I think thats a great price. I cant believe the difference in odds really, 1.27 - 3.55?
On the ladies games, it is a pity they just dont get the same exposure as the mens games, thats across the board with all sports bar Beach Volleyball for example, for voyeuristic reasons!

Update on last weekends round 2 of the URC.
I ended up with 2 of 3 winning bets. My third pick Munster lost to the Dragons and are in second last position just ahead of Connacht. As for irish teams there are two at the top and two at the bottom. Its early days so a lot has to happen yet.
for round 3 next weekend there are a good few closely matched games, 1st v 2nd for example. I have 2 bets on so far:
Benneton at 1.54 to beat Scarlets Ospreys to be beaten by Glasgow Warriors at 2.1

And yet the altcoin scammers want to convince everyone that the bitcoin's success is only because it was the "first" one! The reality is that many tried creating similar systems and failed. Bitcoin is successful because it is useful and it uses existing technologies in the right way. Altcoins are failures because they are useless and have nothing new to offer.
Yes, because the primary tech behind Bitcoin is cryptography which was in development for many years. The Cypherpunks lead the way or created the foundations with their various projects like:
1997 – HASHCASH is created by Adam Back and is formally referred to as “"Hashcash - A Denial of Service Counter-Measure" 1998 – BITGOLD is created by Nick Szabo. This was a decentralised digital currency which was never launched. 1998 – B MONEY essay is created by Wei Dai and referenced a type of “proof of work” system to create an anonymous and distributed digital currency. The next notable leap towards Bitcoins launch came in 2004 when Hal Finney created the first Reusable Proof of Work [RPOW], an early version of what Bitcoin is based on, Proof of Work [POW].
And all those people had a direct role to play in Bitcoins development

Who do you think is the best number one of all time?
Pete Sampras, Jimmy Connors, Andy Murray, Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, or Rafael Nadal? (maybe another one?)
Sampras still has the impressive record of being the number one player for 6 continuous years.
How are we gauging the above answer to your question? There are only three possible answers: The player with the most overall titles - John McEnroe with 156 combined singles and doubles titles The player with the most singles titles - Jimmy Connors with 109 overall singles titles. The player with the most grand slams - Rafael Nadal with 22.

Federer had an elegance with how he played and Alcaraz dosent have that. Alcaraz has a gamestyle like Nadal and is similar to him. New stars are here and i dont know for how long Djokovic and Nadal wi be playing. Nadal always has injuries now so i think he will be the next to retire.
In Alcaraz's case, I feel it's way too early to make arguments like these. Nadal was only a topspin player in his early days but later on managed to heavily expand his offensive arsenal - and because of the way he started he actually didn't receive enough credit for it. Alcaraz is still 19 years old, he's got all the time in the world to hone his skills. He has the talent to be one of the greats - and he will almost certainly be an exciting and elegant player to watch. We can't really expect there's a new Federer around the corner, because the elegance with which he played is unparalleled in the world of tennis. Alcaraz might be the closest we get in the years to come. There is also a good chance that Rafael Nadal will be the next player to retire after Roger Federer. Joca97, I also agree with you that Alcaraz's style does not have the elegance that Roger Federer's had in his style. Nevertheless, it's still early days for him and I don't think we should be too harsh on him at this point since it is still early days. As a matter of fact, he's only 19 years old and has a lifetime of opportunities ahead of him. There is no doubt that he has a bright future ahead of him. However, at the same time, I also feel that the void that has been left by the legends is not going to be filled in any way. regards duke I would have thought that possibly Andy Murray would be retiring before Nadal. It just depends on how injury free both can be. A serious injury at this stage in the career which results in a year out can spell a closer step to retirement. I would also say Alcaraz has more of a style like Nadal. Its also nice to have a different style.
On the Laver Cup its been a First Time win for Team World with a final score of 13 - 8.

I keep coming back to this thread hoping to read that he has found the drive, recovered the bitcoin, and now lives in a mansion. But sadly, no. A question that keeps bothering me is - What must have prompted him to throw the drive away knowing he had such huge amount of bitcoin in it. Was it anger, depression, hopelessness or what? Because from the story, it seems obvious that he was aware at the time that the drive contained bitcoins. Furthermore just like a user already said - there is the possibility that the drive isn't even in the landfill anymore. Who knows it might just be in the possession of a garbage collector who doesn't even know its worth.
Yes I saw this thread and wondered if some progress had been made in the recovery. According to his initial statement below, it was a mistake. James Howells, 35, said he mistakenly put a hard drive with 7,500 bitcoins in the trash while clearing out his home in 2013. Its highly unlikely that the HD was picked up from the thrash by anyone else, Here and in Wales and elsewhere the rubbish bags and bins are dumped into a truck along with hundreds of other bags and bons from the days collection route. I can be corrected on this but on these Islands or this part of the world there is nobody scavenging through the land fill dump looking for 'treasure'.

Metz tournament final will be played today and the two finalists are bublik and sonego it was not expected but we have seen a godd performance from these players so its totally deserved but sonego was the one to stand out the most he run through his opponents easily i think he is the favourite and will win but not easily i think the score will be 2 1 for sonego.
I lost track of the Metz competition. Final today was won by Sonego in 2 sets, 7-6, 6-2. It looks like it was battle royal in the first set and then Sonego had an easy run in the second. Nice win for him but they were unexpected finalists really, considering some of the quality opposition like Medvedev, Korda and Hurkacz.

Is there a reason that only 1 of the 5 orders for USA customers has been delivered? Has been about 1.5 months and none of us have received..... Hi MJ, I dont know the reason and its very strange. There was also an anonymous US buyer who received their package in under 2 weeks. All the EU packages have been delivered. For future sales I will have to send the orders tracked.

Massive win by the Panthers to set up the final with the team who beat them twice this year already. It should make for a cracking game.
It looks like the Panthers are the peoples favourite already, the odds over on Rollbit are Panthers 1.28 - 3.45 Eels. Not a bad price for the Eels who in my mind are closer than the odds suggest.

Over at the URC I am 2 from 2 so far. My third pick Munster are playing today, obviously I'm hoping for 3 from 3!

I'm not sure anything at this point would make me believe that satoshi is someone claiming to be him. If you've managed to stay anonymous for this long, I feel there's no reason why you'd come out now. Even if someone signed using his private keys, I would assume the keys were stolen or found by one of his heirs. So I guess the answer to your question is, nothing. Sure, I'd go along with consensus if the community decided presented evidence was good enough, but in the back of my mind I would think there's something fishy going on.
Interesting point and thought provoking. I, like almost everyone would have said "move coins" from Satoshi wallets or "Sign a message" from those wallets would do the trick but thinking about it if these two actions have not been done by now any future actions from those wallets could be questionable. All the times to prove the likes of CSW a fake have passed, those opportune times we were wishing and hoping for where Satoshi would make those ground breaking actions have passed. If it didnt happen then, its hard to see them happening in the future.

And as the saying goes, if one door closes, another one open, so this is a good opportunity for the young and up coming to really show their talent because Federer has retired already.
We have discussed their names already, and then this year, we have another one in Alcaraz. So we will see who is brave enough to somewhat become the next or even surpassed Roger's achievement.
I thought the same when I saw Nadal crying after Federer's finale game. It seemed as if the situation was something he already feels himself to be very close to. I would say that could be one explanation for him crying. Regarding Alcaraz and his game style, that's very true and it is almost the same as Nadal. It is all about power while Federer indeed made tennis look like an elegant sport. I think there isn't really a player right now who comes close to Federer's style. It's also his light movements that made it look easy and not so powerful. It was more about precision and strategy. I think that was the fun part about the big three guys. Everyone had his own style. Unfortunately I couldnt get to watch that match, I can just get the interviews and 3 minutes of highlights. I would have loved to watch Federer and Nadal pairing up for the last time. It was amazing to see the close bond between the two guys, holding hands and the emotions shared by them both. I thought too that maybe Nadal sees his career ending closer on the horizon. Not every top sports person gets to retire on their terms but it was great that Roger got to play a final match competitively with a close friend and top rival. The sport doesnt end there though, the younger generation are already making their mark, particularly Alcaraz.

The Rugby Championship is back again this weekend, this is finals week so after this the winner will be decided. New Zealand are looking to win this again but will be facing Australia and South Africa in second place will be facing Argentina who along with them will be looking for away wins.
Both home teams are on 14 points but it could come down to for/against difference, New Zealand currently on 41 and South Africa on 28.
I have small bets on both underdogs, I'm not sure how confident I am though

Well there is something going on with him. He has an unorthodox style of playing and same for his shots, maybe that is a thing then about changing surfaces and that if effects him becuse of that.
I belived the Laver Cup has started today! Andy Murry is currently playing De Minaur and is 1 set up. BUT Later this evening there is a bit of a treat in store, the mens doubles between Federer/Nadal and Sock/Tiafoe. Unfortunately I cannot watch it. I have never watched these two play doubles together before.

Hi All,
Bitbollo just contacted me to say that the package arrived and that after the art has been done could a scan of the work be sent?
Yes, if everyone has access to a scanner a high resolution image of the work can be sent to me so I can design up the poster.
You can also post the work here if you want
Looking forward to seeing all the examples.
