In the last season, Bayern planed to use Mane as a replacement for Lewandowski but after a first few good matches, Mane got injury and never played well for Bayern in rest of season. Then they luckily got Choupo-Moting good performance but it is not enough for them to compete in Champions League. In addition in Bundesliga, they lost control and only won it with slippery performance in the last match from Dortmund as well as excellent strike from Musiala in last minutes of the season. They are not in rush, maybe because they still believe in Mane come back but who are sure about that and Choupo-Moting might not be able to replace his performance as good as in the past season. They have already experienced how things go when they use Mane as a striker or Choupo-Moting there. Mane just need to play in his natural position to give his best performance for them. Choupo-Moting's scoring effort was really not bad at all but not as consistent as they needed especially in the Champions League. We are getting close to entering another race week in Formula 1. Austria track is one of the shortest tracks among the ones in the calendar. Therefore the number of laps would be quite high and I guess there would be a strategy of two pit stops for most of the teams. This would be another race that hard tyres would be preferred quite much.
Here in this race I will be expecting a very big dominance by Verstappen. This is Red Bull's home Grand Prix so Verstappen would bring the win home by a dominant performance. There is no Leclerc who can compete with him and win the race now as he did in the previous season.

Federico Chiesa is likely to leave Juventus and Italy at the same time. Because Liverpool are trying to sign him on a permanent deal and there are two other teams monitoring him like PSG and Bayern Munich as well. The asking price is said to be like 60 million euros for him. Considering his market value which is 40 million euros the amount Juventus want for him is quite bigger than that.
But Chiesa is a really skilled player. He isn't only a left winger. He can play as right winger or second striker as well when there is a need. He is only 25 now so he must be open to improve his game as well. I don't know whether Juventus is the right place to do this right now.

Galatasaray did a great work but the continuation of it is really important for not only the supporters but also the team. The way to keep this level is to maintain your best players in the team before anything else. Because if they can't do anything about them to leave and don't replace their space with solid players then next season might turn into nightmare.

Luis Enrique is a successful manager before anything else. He even has experience about winning the Champions League title. PSG need a manager just like him to reach their main target of course. However his game plan is quite different than PSG's. Therefore I wonder what kind of a team we would watch in case he signs for PSG officially.
PSG players are used to play really fast unlike Enrique's game plan. Enrique should make some changes in his style if he wants to make use of Mbappe's talent at the highest level. Mbappe is playing very effectively thanks to fast attacks as he can win most of one-on-ones against defenders. Otherwise I don't know how good they can do.

It was interesting to see that there weren't many candidates to sign Tielemans recently. Aston Villa must have been quite comfortable about signing a contract with him on a free transfer. Arsenal had a serious interest in him some time ago. This was a big opportunity to sign him but it looks like they have lost their interest.
It was going to be a free transfer in the end and Tielemans can still do a decent job. Leicester's look was really bad this season maybe but I don't think Tielemans has lost so much in his skills either. But I hope he doesn't turn into Coutinho after signing for Aston Villa. They have seen this clearly by this season. I wonder whether Tuchel has someone in his mind to recommend to the board. If I were in their place I would have prioritized the striker transfer. There are really nice options in the market but acting faster than other top teams would be better.

Milan will need to make some improvement in the squad for next season. Giroud has got quite old and I don't expect him to make the needed level of contribution consistently from now on as well. Origi has been brought here but he isn't even close to Giroud's level now. If he doesn't improve his game too then this can be a serious problem for Milan in time.
Therefore I would like to see Milan signing a striker this summer. If they want to play more competitive and consistent for the Serie A title then they need to make some important changes. Origi would stay I assume and Giroud has one year left on his contract. If they find a reliable striker now this can improve their productivity a lot.

I agree that Nunez is actually a really solid striker. He was just like that while he was playing for Benfica. But since he joined Liverpool something has been going wrong. He started to waste so many goal opportunities. Maybe this was because of not being able to adapt to the environment quickly. At this point he differentiates from Haaland already.
Because nothing changes for Haaland about whether he plays for Dortmund or Manchester City. He still continues to be a goal machine just like we have seen in this season. Comparing the talents of these players Haaland is again way ahead of Nunez in my opinion. They are nearly at the same age but there is a very visible gap between the skills of these players. This is why Haaland is wanted much more than him.
As a scorer, Haaland is head and shoulders above everyone else now plus City are dominating and Liverpool had a very bad season so I don't think it makes sense to compare them. If next season Liverpool is normal, then perhaps Nunez will even compete with Haaland for the top 1, because despite the fantastic start and many records, Haaland scored only 6 goals more than Kane, who plays for the miserable Tottenham. Yeah it was a really interesting ending to the season. It felt like Haaland would improve the goal record in one season in the league by a quite big amount. But it didn't happen and Kane was really nearly catching up with him. While Kane can do this even in a situation that his team play really badly, I can't imagine what he can do with a better team. But I still wouldn't like to show it like the work Haaland did this season was an easy one. He definitely impressed people with a high scoring effort. He is a very young striker and we don't see many strikers at this age doing the same work in the number one European league. |

When it is time and Mbappe is about to leave PSG I wonder what kind of a team they will be. Because Mbappe is the main reason why they are this much strong right now. He has carried the team in so many games and his goal contribution is pretty huge. He is such a special talent that it won't be easy to fill his place with the right player either.
PSG don't want to lose him for free but I don't feel like they are ready to build a team without him yet. Therefore I assume he wouldn't be sold this summer that easy. PSG have no other chance than continuing with him for at least one more season and then part their ways with him as it seems.

This time we will be seeing a new team being added among the ones which are joining the Champions League. Real Sociedad are also going there together with the usual four teams in the La Liga. As Sevilla had a really poor season in the La Liga they focused on the Europa League and won the title. In the meantime Real Sociedad benefited from the chance to get the last spot in top 4. Villarreal were also in this fight for a while but after starting a bad form they started to fall behind Real Sociedad. I really think Real Sociedad deserved this. Because they have been really impressive during the season. For some time they were even ahead of Atletico Madrid by a quite big point gap.  I think when you consider Sevilla getting Europa as well, they will have 5 teams this time around. They will have the usual top 4 places, but then also Sevilla as well, so they will have 5 teams going there. I think not all starts at group stages, fourth doesn't right? In any case, they will be there in name until the group stages as well so a total of 5 teams is for sure. I think it's quite important to realize that when you are handling a league that is getting this much success, you should think you are doing something right. I know that it will not be simple to compare Premier league and La Liga against each other, but I gotta say it's sometimes obvious to me that La Liga overall is better, even if City might be better than all else. Technically La Liga teams seem more impressive to me in the Champions League. Real Madrid by themselves are already carrying the La Liga as they have won the most amount of Champions League titles. They are far ahead of any other team there. Barcelona also had really bright times there and Atletico Madrid were much better than now in the past. English teams have newly started to get more titles in the Champions League in the recent seasons. But they will need to work harder than that to get ahead of Spanish teams' successes. |

Napoli are again one of the biggest title contenders. At least they are according to bookmakers. They are right behind Inter comparing the odds. This must be still feeling good for Napoli to be shown like this. Because in the end they aren't a team that become champions more frequently than this. They waited for this moment more than 30 years.
Now we don't even know what will happen. Rudi Garcia is here and we will see if he can create the same bond with the players which Spalletti had. Let's say he did then they will need to preserve the squad quality as much as possible to be very competitive for the title once again. Bellingham has already been signed by Real Madrid yeah. And it looks like there are more to come as well. However losing one of their important players has made them weaker temporarily. But I expect Dortmund to fill his place with another talented player as soon as possible. In the same way we will see if there will be others leaving the team as well. Dortmund are full of skilled young players and they always keep the squad that way to apply their vision. We will always continue to see this kind of players coming and leaving. It might be sad to lose some of them right away maybe but at least the profit is really big. |
