2301  Other / Off-topic / Re: YOUTUBE VS TIKTOK on: September 17, 2023, 05:03:19 PM
TikTok inflates view counts and overpays creators because it is a con to get you to install the spyware onto your phone. People using the service have been bamboozled and their data stolen. YouTube is a great platform with lots of amazing creators that underpays them and censors the hell out of their content. At least it isn’t spyware though.
2302  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 17, 2023, 04:40:15 PM
The news being reported today is that the Miami Heat and the Portland Trailblazers have made some progress on their trade talks. I think Damian Lillard’s threats about making drama in training camp were probably enough for Portland to just give in and give him what he wants. Dame shouldn’t have re-signed there if he didn’t want to stay there.
2303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your take on Mt. Gox refund ? on: September 15, 2023, 06:43:54 PM
I was surprised to see this article as I've had no communication that any distribution is incoming.  They claim in the article the refunds will be sent out by the end of next month.  While this would be great news, it is surprising to see someone making this claim.  I would assume that if the distribution was this close that I would have received some sort of notification.  In any event, this along with the FTX liquidations and forced selling at Binance should create the final buying opportunity before the next leg up.  Right on schedule.  A little too convenient if you ask me.
2304  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Big Tech Follows Elon Musk's Lead on Disinformation on: September 15, 2023, 06:40:34 PM
I think a lot of these Big Tech companies are worried about what they've done.  They know they went too far with disinformation and censorship while they were able and now that the light is being shined in their direction they are all panicking and trying to do the right thing in hopes it saves them from the court of public opinion.  Everyone (except the far left) is sick of the media pushing their global and trans agendas on us and we just want unbiased news to stay informed.  I'm glad things are swinging the other way and do hope some people are held accountable for the lies that have been forced down our throat throughout this covid plandemic.
2305  Other / Off-topic / Re: Please Be Careful With The Doctors And Hospitals You Visit. on: September 15, 2023, 06:37:54 PM
As I've gotten older I've watched the medical industry turn into a profit hungry business.  One thing that has surprised me is how Doctors have become salesmen to a certain extent.  People should be very careful when considering whether or not to go receive medical care.  If you do go to the doctor every time you feel ill, and you take the advice and take whatever prescription they give you, you should know that you're just buying drugs from someone.  If you continue going back, they will always have a new drug to sell you to treat something until you find yourself dead from all their care.
2306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OnlyFans owner collects $45 million as dividends because of ETH investment on: September 15, 2023, 06:34:50 PM
I've never used the OnlyFans platform, but I am quite aware of it as it has become somewhat of a big deal.  The big story there for me isn't the young girls selling themselves online but that the owner has managed to cash out such a massive amount of money from the business.  He seemingly became an overnight success and then set himself up to make an absolute fortune off the selling of these young girls' images.  He has to be one of the biggest and most profitable "pimps" of all time.
2307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Telegram launches crypto currency wallet. on: September 15, 2023, 06:32:34 PM
Telegram has to be the platform with the highest percentage of scammers of any available on the internet.  I would honestly guess that >90% of the registered accounts on Telegram have been registered with the intent to scam.  If there's a single app that should be nowhere near a cryptocurrency wallet, it's Telegram.  My advice to everyone would be to stay as far away from a Telegram wallet as possible and if you are forced to use the app for some reason, never engage in a cryptocurrency trade of any kind with people you interact with on there.

Oops, something is interesting that has been reported just now. Dwight is in the meeting with the Golden State Warriors. Maybe he's been heard and this is it for his comeback to the NBA. This wall that has been tweeting funnily from Taiwan seems to be serious now about being acquired by the Dub nation.

I just saw Shams reporting this as well. I don’t know exactly why Dwight got blackballed from the NBA, but I do have some clues… Anyway, I think he’s still an above average NBA center and I think he would be great on the Warriors. He is what they’re missing. He might serve as a good placeholder while they start getting their offense tuned for Giannis.
2309  Economy / Speculation / Re: The future of Bitcoin: Bullish or Bearish on: September 15, 2023, 04:56:10 PM
Bitcoin to me seems like something that is either going to be wildly successful or it will fail completely. I don’t see much room for middle ground here. In fact, mining seems almost designed to boom until miners grow to the point where they start going bankrupt. If prices don’t go up significantly before next April, those bankruptcies will start happening.
2310  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I took a proposal to my State Governor to accept Bitcoin Technology on: September 15, 2023, 06:18:42 AM
Kudos to you for taking this initiative. Certainly you’ve had to educate countless people along the way to how useful Bitcoin can be. No doubt some of those people will be Bitcoin holders in the future as a direct result of you furthering Bitcoin’s adoption. With how limited BTC is, things like this can have a large butterfly effect.
2311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Why nicehash reward dropped so much? on: September 15, 2023, 12:52:08 AM
As others have stated, many changing parts in the NiceHash mining to BTC infrastructure can cause wildly fluctuating mining rewards. I’d recommend using their software and taking advantage of the automated algorithm switching tool to make sure that you’re always mining the most profitable coin possible.
2312  Other / Politics & Society / Re: U.S. threatens more sanctions on NK if the communist nation inks deal w/Russia on: September 15, 2023, 12:49:44 AM
This deal seems like a no-brainer for Russia and North Korea. Russia has a ton of ammunition and they’re using it. North Korea also stockpiles ammunition and could provide Russia with assistance to counter the supplies the West is sending Ukraine. Don’t get me wrong, I’d rather this didn’t happen but with Sleepy Joe Biden asleep at the wheel you can bet America will do the dumbest thing possible, like sanction their way out of having the world’s reserve currency.
2313  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Gun-Free School Zones & Shootings Statistics (2023 Updated) on: September 15, 2023, 12:46:46 AM
School shootings, as are any kind of fatal shooting, a tragic event. Sadly it will never stop in a country where it’s so easy to be able to get hold of a gun. It’s part of American heritage, the right to bear arms so I don’t see the potential for school shootings going down any time soon. I think it’s been discussed before about an armed guard being in every school at all times but government make excuses about the cost being too high.

I personally believe that there is still time to tackle the problem of school massacres in USA before it further engraves itself onto the popular culture even more and into the history of the United States, this rates of attacks in schools are quite of a relatively new trend, after all.

The right to bear arms is decoded in the constitution, but that right is not supposed to be sacrificed in order to stop more tragic events. The first thing to do in to close the loopholes which allow criminals and the mentally sick to grab guns.

It is okey to bear arms but that right cannot be for everyone in age, without some restrictions according to their history, mental health and online behavior.

I think maybe a less obvious take on the gun problems we’re seeing in America is that people are fed up with the way that society is being governed. Kids aren’t going to sit around being indoctrinated without fighting back. This is a problem that’s going to get a whole lot worse and gun control isn’t the answer. Nobody shoots people because guns are available, they shoot people because they’re forced into shitty situations.
2314  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 15, 2023, 12:42:52 AM

Denver? I think I can see the Lizzahd people hiding underneath the floor.

No vacation that includes Starbucks can be considered a HODL vacation though. Might as well have some avocado toast in that picture as well. Back when I was coining, we’d go on long walks for a vacation and drink only rainwater found accumulated in puddles.
2315  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 15, 2023, 12:36:25 AM
There is no scenario where they keep all their good players and still get Giannis. Mathematically, their contracts wouldn't allow such a thing to happen. Warriors have 209 million dollars salary per year, that is by far first in the league, even with Celtics paying Jaylen Brown insane supermax, its still Warriors ball to conquer. The salary cap is at around 123 million, or so it was last year and I do not know how much it went up this year. It is still easy to say that they are way above that line, and paying a HUGE luxury tax as well. They do have Chris Paul now, no how they managed to make that happen, but it looks like they are paying a ton of money to him, and Wiggins as well. If they somehow trade those two, then maybe? They need to find space, and when you are over 80 millions above the salary cap, that's not easy.

Getting rid of Jordan Poole was a pretty big salary dump. Chris Paul also won’t be around too much longer and could probably be bought out for cheap if it was necessary anyway. I think they would be wise to get rid of Draymond and keep Wiggins, which might be possible since Draymond obviously wants to play with LeBron. Bottom line is that the Warriors would do whatever it takes to get Giannis if the opportunity presents itself.
2316  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good time to sell? on: September 14, 2023, 01:21:13 AM
Bitcoin is a life changing technology, so I would say that you probably shouldn’t sell it until you can get a life changing sun of money for your investment. There’s a chance that all you have to do is stack and wait. So rather than focus on a certain price, I would say to focus on what you would do with the money. Eliminate debt or secure your future and I’d say selling was worth it.
2317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 14, 2023, 01:18:53 AM
Looks like the cracks rare starting to form in New Orleans. Brandon Ingram has said that he has no plans to sign an extension this year and after the season will start evaluating his options. Basically, he’s not going to wait around to see how the Zion experiment goes. I don’t blame him since I think Zion wants out as well.
2318  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 13, 2023, 10:08:24 PM
According to betting companies, the championship favorite of the 2023-24 season is Boston Celtics!
Maybe they can be this year, but it's hard to say for sure, because other teams are also favorites this year. One of my favorites is Phoenix Suns.

This year’s championship is definitely the Suns’ to lose. The only things that could stop them is injuries or lack of team chemistry. If they can stay healthy and get a full season in, I don’t see anyone stopping them.

Giannis today saying he’s going wherever the odds of him winning a championship are the best might as well have been a goodbye to Milwaukee.
2319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 13, 2023, 07:55:15 PM
Kevin Porter Jr.'s career in the NBA has got to be over. His alleged attack on his girlfriend who played in the WNBA, Kysre Gondrezic has left her with a broken neck. He’ll be lucky to avoid a lengthy prison sentence in my opinion, but even if he does I would hope that the NBA never pays him another penny after this incident.

Its a shame, KPJ looked really solid with other youngins on the rockets. Its gonna be bad for him since Houston will be needing him and on rebuilding phase but they still have Jalen Green, Alperen Sengun and of course that dawg Dillon Brooks whos been in super saiyan mode on FIBAWC .

And also Fred Vanvleet and Jeff Green is solid addition for the rockets since they will be also need Veteran presence. The Rockets will be doing good next season

With all the news coming out now about incidents with the team and throwing tantrums at clubs, destroying property, etc. It’s pretty shocking that they had him on the team in the first place. He doesn’t strike me as talented enough to be a major problem to his team like that. Pretty sure we will never see him play again.

That all silver 10 BTC Casascius coin is one of my all time favorites. A great collectible for sure. I’m tempted to bid on it so that I can have one I actually see. It’s been so long since I’ve seen mine in storage, at some point it’s like I don’t even really own it. These would be baller pieces to carry around with you in your pocket and you’d get to see them!
