Something is going to happen next year that will force the Fed's hand to start lowering rates. (A war in Taiwan? Major terrorist attack? CRE and Banking sector meltdown? Who knows, but it'll just be a cover story)

When this starts to happen, the leftover 1 trillion $ from the Fed's RRO will begin moving out, looking for a better return elsewhere. It's already been draining fast since June, down from a high of 2 trillion $.

If the market begins to crash, Wall Street will take all that money and massively short the market, looking to scoop up more cheap shares.

Wall Street already knows all this is coming (insider knowledge), they are just front running it now.

I'm actually starting to think that a proxy war next year in the South China Sea makes the most sense.

Look how they've run up the biggest bubble in nVidia stock.

And now the word is that insider investors are dumping their nVidia shares.

Gee, I wonder why?  Tongue  Wink

https://www.fool.com/investing/2023/09/15/nvidia-ceo-jensen-huang-dumped-shares-ai/

https://finbold.com/insiders-continue-dumping-nvidia-shares-crash-incoming/

https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/markets/cathie-woods-ark-invest-is-selling-nvidia-stock-and-buying-these-2-artificial-intelligence-ai-growth-stocks/ar-AA1l2heL

Nvidia maybe knows, that they will not have always the best hardware for ai training. There are new competitors:

https://www.wired.com/story/openai-buy-ai-chips-startup-sam-altman/

Quote
Rain, founded in 2017, has claimed that its brain-inspired NPUs will yield potentially 100 times more computing power and, for training, 10,000 times greater energy efficiency than GPUs, the graphics chips that are the workhorses for AI developers such as OpenAI and primarily sourced from Nvidia.

Like cryptomining with GPUs, everything has an end.

Well, to be fair I am still mining crypto with GPUs as are a lot of others. You have a point though. The market is valuing Nvidia like they’re the only company that will ever be able to make AI hardware. Clearly it’s overvalued so insiders are just taking profits. I actually think AMD makes a far more attractive investment option than Nvidia currently.

Another day, another AYH.

Getting richer while sleeping and all...

Life's good.

$43K in one hour confirmed  Kiss

I concur.

It is crazy that this rally seems to be accelerating. Every time I look at the price it seems like it’s gone up another thousand dollars. I feel bad telling my friends not to dump their 401K’s into Bitcoin last week. The market is on fire. I might have to get a ticker going again in my living room. Between the crazy mining profitability and rising price, it’s a good time to be in crypto.
1323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 05, 2023, 05:40:57 PM
I was a bit surprised to see the Pelicans beat the Kings last night. Brandon Ingram had himself a game though putting up 30 points. Zion was less impressive only getting 10 points but he did it on an efficient 5-8 from the field. Sabonis had a great night for the Kings, but Fox wasn’t shooting the ball well and I think his 10-25 gf performance was the difference.

Well Dec 4 vs Dec 1 on my 42k pick

here is hoping that my 48k pick hits closer then dec 31

so far so good

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5472517.0

I thought we’d end the year at $40K. If we get over $43K I might have to start becoming even more bullish.
1325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 04, 2023, 11:44:55 PM
Only 2 games tonight but they’re both televised on TNT. The Kings and Pelicans matchup might be a good game to watch if you can tear yourself away from watching a Bitcoin ticker.

With these being in season touny quarterfinals I expect both games tonight and tomorrow to be good.  Should have a playoff type feel to them I'm actually looking forward to the Celtics Pacers game.  With how fast paced and high scoring this game could end up being crazy.   I got Pelicans and Pacers taking tonight's games.

I’ve never been much of a fan of watching the Pacers. I’ve got a special spot for the Kings though having grown up in Sacramento. I’m always on Zion watch as well. Hopefully Zion gets some highlights in and the Kings get to light the beam. Smiley
1326  Economy / Reputation / Re: After Chipmixer, Is Sinbad.io Next To Be Shutdown? on: December 04, 2023, 09:44:07 PM
Its good to hear that you managed to withdraw your funds as I assumed that they blocked your account while waiting for an explanation. Out of curiosity and to clear that out, did you use Binance address for signature campaign payments, or you sent the sig campaign monmey from your own wallet to Binance?

Sinbad was my first campain ever (i am still kind of newbie) and i used Binance adress for payouts. Therefore my personal account is now directly linked to sinbad escrow adress. I got timeline of 7 days to explain transactions, otherwise account will be limited. At least within this timeline withdrawals work fine.

Keep us updated.  I'm very curious what will happen to all the folks who have been benefitting from advertising money laundering here, even as it became obvious that the government was arresting those involved in such operations.  When even a forum pretending to be all about free speech has to ban advertisements from an entire industry, you know it's absolutely the shadiest thing you could get involved with.  Good luck to you in getting your funds and again, please share your findings with others as I imagine many are finding themselves in your situation today.
1327  Other / Meta / Re: Theymos, when KYC will be introduced? on: December 04, 2023, 09:39:01 PM
People are leaving the forum. It’s strange, why is theymos silent?

My guess is that the people who are leaving were only here to spam whatever shady product will pay them to do so.  They don't care about Bitcoin or this community.  They only care about easy money and how to get the most of it possible with the least amount of effort.  Usually starting drama or taking shots at actual Bitcoiners who build things or pretending to care about privacy.  I say good riddance to these folks.  The forum was a whole lot better before signature campaigns took over and if all the people who are only here to profit from posting leave, we will all be far better off in the long run.  That's probably why...  I'd give up my signature earnings in a heartbeat if it meant this place could travel in time back to 2012 when the people who were here actually cared about Bitcoin's success instead of how much Bitcoin they can get.

The forum is turning into dictatorship. Satoshi would not approve of this
This forum was never a democracy.

satoshi wouldn't give a shit.
it's really sucks

Dude it is not a dictatorship.

I probably suffered the worst signature loose of all.

I had to refund months of a prepaid signature. paid to me in btc and the btc went up 10%

I lost thousands due to this decision.

If btc goes up more like 10,000 plus will be lost to me.

It is not about the earnings. what matters is the forum continues and we pivot as best we can.

theymos is doing a good job it is not easy to operate in the USA. 🇺🇸 laws are fucked up.

Here is a simple example you are 18 your girlfriend is 17 you drive over the george washington bridge while she is giving you a handjob. On one side of the bridge you are not a pedophile on the other side of the bridge you are a pedophile. Age of consent is 17 in NY and 18 in NJ.

so it seems off topic but it is not it illustrates how laws differ.

We have zero idea of what he was told. and we had a federal agency get tagged by moron dt members.

not clever on their part.

Directions to this bridge? Kidding…

I’m sorry to hear you took a hit from a prepaid campaign. Surely you’d think they’d be willing to work with you if you made the situation clear to them. I’ve been in similar situations though. I once had a customer not pay me for almost two years and then finally give me a lump sum in BTC at the peak of the market which by the time the funds were sold on an exchange took such a big hit that it basically all ended up going to taxes. Sometimes people just don’t think how their actions effect you.

Don’t be too caught up with some of the losses you see people take online. Many of those gamblers are paid to do what they do and their emotions aren’t always genuine. The ones that are and I’m sure there are plenty of them are likely heartbreaking to see, but that’s why people stream their gambling efforts, so they can receive gifts from those that watch.
1331  Economy / Goods / Re: ~ Buying a TESLA CYBERTRUCK with BITCOIN ~ on: December 04, 2023, 10:27:40 AM

The front middle seat was dropped because there is a display there and they could not figure out airbags with the display for the center passenger.

I have owned a six seat full size truck for a decade. I have had five in it multiple times but never filled the sixth front center position. Maybe a young small person would not impinge too much on the driver but it’s just not a high priority.

I'd rather have the extra seat than a display. I'm sure they could have found a place to put it or a tablet or a smaller screen somewhere else - maybe even make it detachable so people can move it around or put it where they want. Maybe having one on the roof that can fold up/down when needed like a sun-visor. If nobody is in the back it's useless and is in a bit of an awkward position. Could have even just used an app on each persons phone as that's what most people are glued to anyway. For most 6 seats probably isn't needed but it's ideal for families with three kids and/or a pet etc. I have seen a couple of people complaining that they needed the extra seat so it will effect those people for sure. I think they should consider having a six seat option in the future.

I’d personally rather have the display. How else would I play video games while the car is driving me around? This is basically a giant steel sports car. Not a minivan.
1332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: December 04, 2023, 10:25:29 AM
So many bonuses and I think they really deserve it to get their bonus from the UFC,

You know, the fact that we see UFC are giving bonuses is one side of the coin, because we dont really see how fighters actually receive. Not saying that UFC just say that they give and fake that, but from the interview with Viacheslav Borshchev (he has got fight of the night bonus on UFC295), he has told that he will get this bonus in 2-3 months only, and he does not rely much on them. He has said that bonuses are not instant, because UFC run various doping tests, check if sponsors contracts were not broken and etc. I am sure that most of the fighter get those bonuses, no doubt that they deserve them, but there is always a % that fighter gets caught with something or has violated some kind of a rule.

I don’t think there’s ever been an issue with a fighter not getting their bonus, but I don’t really follow that sort of thing. It does seem like if it were happening then there would be a lot of fighters mentioning it on social media. The bigger issue to me is that the fighters deserve a lot more than what they get from those bonuses. They sadly need a UFC union…
1333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What I've learned so far as a gambler on: December 04, 2023, 10:23:31 AM
OP makes solid points and it is good to be sharing the knowledge you’ve learned. I especially enjoyed the last line of the original post as that is surely the best way to make money from the gambling industry. I would just urge everyone to continue learning about things they enjoy, regardless of what it is or if there’s money at stake.
1334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Money laundering in crypto casino on: December 04, 2023, 10:20:53 AM
We all know the recent issue about the mixer status here in the forum. Crypto casino is also being use for money laundering by some criminals that’s why every casino has AML policy.

I’m just curious what will be the fate of crypto casino once money laundering activity from mixer will jump to casino now that mixer will not be advertised here which means it has less exposure. Is there any possibility that crypto casino will be seized by the government just like what happened to mixers in case they failed to screen the laundering activity?

Gambling sites are for sure not a safe place to be committing money laundering. That isn’t their business and they’re heavily regulated against this sort of thing. With mixers there is hope they will fight requests from law enforcement. With casinos they will turn over every piece of information they have on you to guard their business.
1335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 04, 2023, 10:19:17 AM
The LeBron & Udoka incident is crazy. The rockets really are trying to be the most hated team in the NBA for some reason. This latest scuffle between their coach and the goat where Udoka called LeBron a bitch seems to highlight that. I’m glad he got kicked out and I hope he issues an apology. Everybody trying to get under LeBron’s skin now that he’s old…
1336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why the rich win gambling more than the poor. on: December 04, 2023, 10:16:58 AM
Gambling is a form of entertainment that you have to pay to play. It isn’t a crazy thought that people who have more money are then able to pay more for entertainment. I imagine rich people have more subscriptions to paid services, pay more for their vehicles, etc. This would also lead you to believe this leaves more time for poor people to enjoy the best things life has to offer, which are free.
1337  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 04, 2023, 10:14:35 AM
Observing $41,680.

Would it be safe to suggest, We Are So Back.

The messages I’m getting on social media from acquaintances would suggest we are back. Everybody starting to catch fomo. At least the people who have learned to keep one eye on crypto over the years. It’s exciting to think we could see a massive move upward sometime in the next year or two and already the excitement is building.
1338  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 04, 2023, 05:11:51 AM
The acceleration of this rally is starting to get into concern territory. This has got to be fomo coming in to play with traders. It is very much looking like we may break through $41K today which I imagine will only get the snowball rolling faster. I’d be nervous to be a short term trader holding here as we knock on $41K already. Common sense says a correction has to be coming, but this rally is far from common.

How many more charts until we break $40K? Looking like it may only be one or two more… The market is knocking on the door of $40K and there’s only a matter of time before resistance breaks and we’re dancing on a 4. If this entire next 18 months is this much fun, I don’t know what I’ll do with myself. Let’s go $40,000!

DONE!

Wen $41k?  Cry

I imagine there will be some selling at $40K since it’s a nice big round number, so we may see a pause here before moving forward. However, I see no reason why the pace of this rally would slow once the initial shock of hitting $40K has passed. I wouldn’t be surprised if after a pause of a few days we saw it resume it’s $1,000 per week climb to end the year around $43-$44K.
