Additional citations needed for this blatantly obvious error.

I joined the FPS&T, BTC S&T on the 1st of March 2012, it wasn't easy to get on board then either, I requested that my investment be rolled over for compound interest but this got missed on our communications which is fine by me, who on earth would be paying out interest if he could just keep it when up to anything dodgy, nearly 3 months down the line of receiving these payments that never even had to be made plus continual monitoring of the evolution of Pirate's offering & most of all this thread have convinced me to PM Pirate today to request doubling my previous investment much sooner that I was originally planning to do if he has that sufficient availability at present
Congratulations! You managed to use five commas and zero periods.

lol THREE 7970s for ONE Single?

Yeah, GLWT.

Now, on with the show.

Would you consider producing a Bitcoin Savings & Trust branded rum? I think the two would complement each other quite nicely and plenty on these forums would buy it for the novelty value.

Not sure if this was a joke or not... and I haven't read the whole thread yet...

BUT DO THIS!
There's already Pirate beer:

Any word yet if the low end -7 series will have metal heatspreader.  I would imagine you could get 20 to 30 Mhz more out of the Spartans if it like trying to pull that heat through the low conductivity plastic package.

by our review, not only heat. Smiley
some thing other limit break out when we solved over-heat.
How were you solving the overheat? Liquid nitrogen? Grin

the should update their website... www.bitcoincia.com no one should have ever posted in the forum, lulz
You could try the correct URL if you want a better chance of seeing any updates:

This thread is boring, it's just speculation on a very uncompetitive product.
Although the parts may not be very modern, the ideas and things surrounding it are very relevant and fun to discuss. Theoretically if designed correctly, it should be possible to replace all the little FPGA modules with 28nm models when those come along, or even specially designed ASICs.
2588  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BitFury 110GH/s per rack? on: May 22, 2012, 04:59:43 PM
For those of you that were trying to figure out the network overhead, here is some good info:

Quote
110 Gigahash/sec (two SHA256)
25.6 partial solutions (shares) per second
40 getworks per second (only partial range scan)

Also, those copper busses look like exactly what I need for my rig. I'll have to study the pics a bit more.

rjk you seem to like buying the 'ultimate' of products, eh?
I'm selling, right now. Wink
But if someone buys, I might be in for the next big thing.

I received money from them (SEPA), Friday and today. The last transfer was 'Sent' yesterday I think, nobody is dead, they probably just avoid the agitators here, that want them hanged in the center of town.

I repeat, I am not saying I know what they will do, but I have no proof they will take off, or what these people are implying just because they are not answering their demands on some forum.

I am sure they would love to chat with you folks, posting in between the death threats and insults, but maybe they have other things to do.

I rest my case here, because this thread has turned into something it is not, and I think this is why they are not replying here anymore.
Can you please confirm that they have communicated to you by email in a timely manner?
I did not ask whether you got your money, I asked whether they were in communication with you by email.

2592  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Offline transactions for very active addresses on: May 22, 2012, 02:55:43 PM
As I understand it, each transaction must completely spend all of the balance in an address
No, a transaction only needs to completely spend all the balance of one payment that was received by an address, not all payments that were received by the address.
Very good, I understand now. It makes total sense.
2593  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Offline transactions for very active addresses on: May 22, 2012, 02:25:28 PM
So I am continuing to gain understanding of the protocol and how it works, but there are still a few things I wonder about. The following is one of them.

Let us assume that there is a single address (donation address, or whatever), that collects coins on a fairly regular basis, let us say every few minutes or so. This address is in an offline wallet that is never brought online.

Now let us assume that the owner of the wallet wished to spend some of the coins contained therein, and went to the computer that was offline and not connected and created an offline transaction. Perhaps using Armory or any other software that supports creating offline transactions.

Then, before he has a chance to broadcast the transaction to the network, another donation is sent, or more coins show up at the address for whatever reason. What I want to know is, is the offline transaction that was created now invalid? Does the user have to go back and create another transaction to take into account the new balance? As I understand it, each transaction must completely spend all of the balance in an address, and cannot spend it partially. Any overages are split and sent back to a change address. If using specialized software, the change address can be the same as the sending address.

Since the balance was incremented, the offline transaction that he created does not take that into account, which would seem to make it invalid. Is this accurate, and if so what can be done in this situation? If it is not accurate, could someone with a better understanding of the system than me please explain it?

Nice laptop specwise but doesnt it kinda defeat the purpose of a laptop ?

What is the battery life on that? 30minutes ?
It's meant to be a mobile workstation, not so much a laptop. Consider the situation where a CAD expert is needed onsite at a customer's location to do some drawings. Likely, the customer doesn't have the hardware and software for this, and he doesn't want to lug around a desktop. This has more of a gamer's card installed (GTX280m), but it can be swapped for various models of Quadro cards as well.

The battery life when new is just over an hour, but this battery needs replacing and might last about 10 minutes, max. It is essentially an integrated UPS system, and not so much a use-it-unplugged thing.
2595  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] ASRock 970 Extreme4 + Sempron 145 + 2 GB RAM and aluminum frame package on: May 22, 2012, 01:52:39 PM
Bump! Make an offer! The frame includes a bracket that holds only one PSU as well as the one that holds 2, so you could add 2 more cards in the empty space if you had a board that supported 8 cards, and long enough extenders.

Bump for an awesome laptop, I'm currently running the same rig from Sager but with a 580m (upgraded before getting into btc)

Yeah, it's Eurocom branded, but it's based on the Clevo platform that Eurocom, Sager, AVADirect, etc all use. It supports the i7-990x and various 1366 socket Xeon processors too. It has 12 GB, but supports up to 24GB of RAM, however you will need to remove the heatsink from the CPU and re-paste it in order to change some of the RAM modules.

Holy epic shiet, this is an awesome setup.

EDIT: I'm pretty sure someone has this in their profile pic...

That was eldentyrell with his own FPGA configuration Tongue
No, his was 3 distinct colors for each of the unrolled hashers.

I can tell you that GPUMAX alone is used by people in over 80 counties and gamers from all over the world.
That a clue? - Or maybe I misinterpret "gamers"  Tongue

Nope sorry, I don't spend time adding in hidden messages to my comments.  You would be surprise at how many users we gained from Twitter postings about GPUMAX that got circulated in the gaming community.  ie. Minecraft, WOW, COD

WHAT you bitcoin people think you're the only ones with nice video cards?  Grin
You'd get more gamers if you added a paypal cashout, like EMC.
