2621  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you had to choose to put 5 BTC into 1 BTC investment, what would that be? on: July 12, 2015, 07:28:05 PM
I'd just put it as an investment on a gambling site. I don't see anywhere else worth to put it at the moment...
2622  Economy / Speculation / Re: How does it feel like ? on: July 12, 2015, 03:47:22 PM
They are still saying Bitcoin is dead, obviously. They have no other escape that's it's not keeping their "pose" Grin
2623  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are we stress testing again? on: July 12, 2015, 03:15:40 PM
I don't know if this has been discussed, but here it goes: what is the best way to spend the outputs that spammers are leaving on well known private keys? We could try and drain their funds, a bit like f2pool did.

I read that those are being swept away as fast as the backlog will allow.

By pools/miners or regular users?
2624  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-07-12] 1001Pharmacies – Online Marketplace for Prescription Medicine, BTC on: July 12, 2015, 03:12:33 PM
I don't think this is going to work that well... Everyday we see news of adulterated medicine selling on the internet... How can they assure us of the quality of their goods?
2625  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Randomising Brain Wallet - idea on: July 12, 2015, 03:06:39 PM
How about dna like security for a wallet, with a dna scanner or some sort of reader that read your dna signature, they only bad thing is if someone chops your friend or steals your blood i guess is no good.

It's a good idea... That's unfortunately not possible to deploy in a cheap way to a huge number of Bitcoin users. The immediate future will rely on retina scans Wink

Well... What are you even talking about? Didn't quite get your post...
2628  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is withdrawing from ATM anonymous? on: July 12, 2015, 11:51:51 AM
Someone's name has got to be in that card, even if it's not yours, so it's never truly anonymous I think. And if there's a camera you can simply forget about anonimity, I bet they can match your face, the time of the pictures, and your card's number...

Bitcoin is the way to go Cheesy
2629  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Blockchain Tech Will Change Auditing for Good on: July 12, 2015, 11:48:06 AM
Auditing companies will soon discover gunpowder in the Blockchain technology Wink
2630  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Online News Portal on: July 12, 2015, 11:39:13 AM
and here is my simple RSS site with overview of bitcoin news headlines: http://bitcoin21.info/?i=y

This is actually a pretty nice website, short, small, fast to load... But there's no RSS button Cheesy
2631  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is Bitcoin Legal? on: July 12, 2015, 11:10:39 AM
Is it just me or I press "suggest and edit" and nothing happens?

Anyways, nice map. Could use some improvements Smiley
2632  Economy / Collectibles / Re: MS-69 Casascius 1BTC Silver Round /w Gold B on: July 11, 2015, 11:32:27 PM
This should be interesting... And it should go to the auctions section too Smiley Watching.
2633  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Pending Transaction on: July 11, 2015, 07:54:41 PM
Switching servers wouldn't work. The transaction will eventually come through if you wait... But if you're in a hurry you can try and double spend the transaction with a bigger fee, or try some service like this (Disclaimer: never used them, not sure how they work of they work)
2634  Bitcoin / Press / Re: The First 2-Way Bitcoin ATM Installed in Greece on: July 11, 2015, 07:48:21 PM
i hope they will release some data about how much the atm is used. i am curious to find out if greek people are really interested in buying bitcoin to avoid their shitty banks and government.

They apparently had 2000€ volume in one morning. Not bad, I think.
2635  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Core is a broken piece of shit on: July 11, 2015, 07:45:13 PM
Everything fine here. Have you rechecked/rebuilt your install?
2636  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Best BTC wallet? on: July 11, 2015, 07:06:44 PM
Core is a very good wallet, but requires the whole blockchain... Armory is very good, but also requires the whole chain, and it is only useful if you're more an advanced user. Electrum is SPV and really good, you should try it. Avoid online wallets!

You should really try Electrum. Once you tried it, you will never use any other wallet.
It is simple the best wallet ever made, please give it a try.

I can't import my keys to Electrum, or I can't find how.

The objective in electrum isn't importing keys: it's entirely switching to a seed that can be memorized. Your previous keys will not be included in a new seed. So just create a seed, keep it safe and transfer your Bitcoins there.
2637  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Unstable BTC value is negative point ? on: July 11, 2015, 07:01:19 PM
Volatility can be tackled quite well nowadays. Many merchants use services like BitPay. Merchants set a price in fiat currency and it is converted in real time to BTC... (So they even have the chance to receive more coins for a product if the price goes down Cheesy)

They can also sell it immediately to fiat... Although merchants should only sell what they need to pay bills in fiat, of course!
2638  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bear Trap triggered on: July 11, 2015, 03:59:40 PM
I've seen people say we're on the beginning of that chart, in the middle, in the end... Just forget that goddamned chart Cheesy

Oh boy, here come the charts again.  Roll Eyes

My personal fav.

Haha, was precisely thinking in posting this one after opening the thread!
2639  Economy / Speculation / Re: 300$ Hit on: July 11, 2015, 03:57:49 PM
the "1200$ soar" wasn't only speculation...

As for this time it's most probably whales swinging the order books Cheesy
2640  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transaction Times SUCK on: July 11, 2015, 11:28:31 AM
Transaction times are instant. I have no idea how one can improve on that. However, confirmations are not instant, and cannot be instant.
