1921  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Need Help to choose Bitcoin VPS on: October 28, 2015, 12:50:20 PM
http://vultr.com/
Been using them for about a year with no problems and they accept BTC

I've heard good about them, but they seem a bit expensive... Smiley

time4vps accept bitcoin and it is very cheap, they work on only two different ip, i knwo because i've bought many vps with them

there were no tangible issues, whatsoever, all fixed, if you ask for support, worth trying

Looks like a good host, prices aren't so bad Smiley

Thanks for all the options, everyone! I'll be seeing if I can find the same from what I have for cheaper Cheesy

Have you tried this?
1923  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: check it out Girls do use BTC! on: October 28, 2015, 12:30:32 PM
This seemed to be a trend a few months ago (talking about ladies and Bitcoin) and it now seem to be picking up... As I've been saying on many threads I think merchant adoption would be the reason why girls don't use Bitcoin for shopping. Awareness and more adoption are bringing girls in, in many kinds of businesses... Smiley
1924  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Breaks 300; Now What? on: October 28, 2015, 12:26:28 PM
Was very skeptic of breaking the psychological "300" barrier, but it seems we're past it, so... Anything goes now, we'll be planing for a few hours/days and then the market will decide Smiley After rising so much I'd saw we are about to go down Cheesy But only time will tell, this is just a prediction like any other...
1925  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People become believers when they see you pay IRL on: October 27, 2015, 11:15:48 PM
It is indeed unfortunate that people don't see Bitcoin as money after these kinds of episodes, and even when they see these things happening some end up not regarding Bitcoin as money.

I remember when I first exchanged Bitcoins for fiat and people around me realized, for the first time, that Bitcoin was money. We have to find a way to make people believe straight out of the box that Bitcoin is money. I think that's only achievable with wider merchant adoption... One day Smiley

Having "fun" in jail for "misplacing" customers funds Roll Eyes
1927  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia Proposes Jail Sentence for Bitcoin Activities on: October 27, 2015, 11:11:37 PM
I don't see this getting through... What would be the difference of trading in Bitcoin, Rubles, Dollars, Euros etc that would make a Bitcoin sale illegal? Might as well deem all currencies illegal...
1928  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Chinese bitcoin player is selling his Tesla S85 for 300 BTC on: October 26, 2015, 10:38:26 AM
The car of the future with the currency of the future, perfect match Smiley As far as Google Translate goes, I can see folks are complaining it's a bit expensive, but the car seems to be pretty much as good as new, so...
1929  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China (Unofficially) Authorizes Bitcoin! on: October 25, 2015, 08:29:43 PM
After Unofficially banning Bitcoin, we have an Unofficial unban! Cheesy Meanwhile, while all this happened, more and more hashpower was brought to Chineses mining farms, new farms were built with even more efficiency and exchanges kept operating with huge reported daily trade volumes...
1930  Other / Meta / Re: MrFudged Usernames on: October 25, 2015, 03:16:25 PM
This guy simply doesn't stop. It's getting rather annoying, but mods are doing a great job. He's now under the name of "BtcCoScammedMe" and using the same "numerals" style after the nickname (something like X_XXXX). I'll keep reporting him/her/it...

He's registering a load of accounts. He either has a nice bot or a lot of time.
1931  Economy / Services / Re: [BIT-X.com] OPEN SPOTS Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: October 25, 2015, 02:41:39 PM
Any news on avatar campaign, i'm wondering how will it look like Smiley

All will be revealed soon™.

Any news on this? Anything I've missed? Smiley
1932  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bank or Bitcoin Wallet? on: October 25, 2015, 02:22:42 PM
I think there's no doubt in anyone's mind that the option is a Bitcoin Wallet, at least in what concerns security. You get to keep your own funds. But people should not forget that although Bitcoin is an amazing and disruptive technology, it is only on it's first stages... Who knows if Bitcoin will be around in 50 years? Another cryptocurrency might pop up and present itself as a better solution than Bitcoin.

So, in practice, both choices should be made, for now Smiley
1933  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 21 Inc is relaying new blocks on: October 25, 2015, 01:06:25 PM
What do you mean, what's going on? It's a full node. Full nodes relay all blocks, new and old. Blockchain.info receiving a block from a particular node has nothing to do with who mined it, it only tells you which node was lucky and/or fast enough to relay that block to Blockchain.info before other nodes.

Yes, and besides this the device has a mining chip, unlike OP has said. It's not powerful but it has a "one in a billion" chance to find a block Smiley
1934  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi State of the Union Address on: October 25, 2015, 01:04:30 PM
LOL, wierdest thing I've seen in a long time! Worth the laugh tho... But unfortunately this isn't really Bitcoin Discussion Cheesy
1935  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-10-22] Sweden to Become World’s First Cashless Country on: October 24, 2015, 11:14:01 PM
The natural evolution, I think... Tomorrow Sweden, the next day Europe and then most of the World.
1936  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we earn bitcoin by Torrent seeding ? on: October 24, 2015, 11:04:26 PM
JoyStream was being built with that aim, but they're in test phase and only work with the testnet, I think... There aren't other systems like that, that I know of.
1937  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Raspberry Pi 2 B - Prep, Hardening and Full Bitcoin Node Procedures (1 of 2) on: October 24, 2015, 10:44:34 PM

1939  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin 'real money' to you? on: October 24, 2015, 08:49:59 PM
When I started reading on Bitcoin, I thought this was just an Internet token, and back then it high quite a high value. But slowly I started using it, getting to know it more and I now consider it as real money... For me the question now is: is fiat real money?
1940  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Programme that lets you insert Adress and price and puts out QR code on: October 24, 2015, 01:40:07 PM
A lot of clients do this, as they already have request payment functionality. Bitcoin Core and Armory do this too.
