IP's given by an ISP might be completely different from each other, and scammers/red trusted users might use many IP's, proxies, VPN's, etc... That being said, it would be nice if such a system got implemented. It won't stop anyone, but it will definitely make them slower in accessing the forum, or it will eventually make them more frustrated |

Looks like they just want people's money. They don't seem to understand the technology as you currently have to pay more if you pay with bitcoin (instead of less!). I can't be too excited about this yet.
Well as a business speaking you can bet they want your money, everyone wants your money, but it's specially annoying when they don't understand the tech properly. Anyway I agree that the millenials want to pay in Bitcoin specially porn related stuff which is more anonymous. This still doesn't explain why it costs more to pay in Bitcoin than in traditional way when in reality it's cheaper for the operator of the site to accept Bitcoin than Credit card payments for example. The only way I can explain this is an anonymity card that they are charging. Especially after what happened with Ashley Madison hack and their users. Why does it cost more to pay in Bitcoin? Didn't they use current exchange rates on exchanges to determine the Bitcoin price for the services? I guess they're factoring in the loss of repeat card charging but that must cost a whole lot more than any jacked up fees could compensate for.
Very good point. They definitely don't want that to stop happening. There's always someone not paying attention or not really caring about their money. |

Exactly, Which makes me wonder why did they took the Bitcoin option away, it was a source of profit... Anyways, they found out again what people want, and they'll give people what they want. The benefits of Bitcoin in porn were very discussed around here and valid points were made. I bet they're aware of that. |

Gavin will either carry on as usual, or retire for disagreements with other devs. I think he'll opt for the first option. If XT fails miserably, It's definitely not the first thing he proposed in his life that failed Besides, XT has other functionality beyond what regards big blocks/block size changes, so there will always be a userbase, even if it is really, really small. |

If you can have and maintain a (wide) variety of altcoins, than it would be a great idea.
He must be a bill gate in order to have a wide variety of altcoins because people will just be dumping their failed coin on him. No one will dump coins on OP. Coins will be dumped on exchanges and the OP is trying to create an easy way for people to do so. |

The trust level is there to give points to people who trade nicely here, to people who are generally good to the forums and to prevent scams to a certain extent. I think you rating is pretty self explanatory. Besides, this isn't the correct section for these kinds of posts, it would suit Meta better. |

I agree... It's just too much hype for something that already seems to be available for a much smaller cost. As I've said on other threads regarding this, I don't really see what does this machine do, or why will it enable better coding of Bitcoin related apps/programs.
It's a bit of a novelty, something that one might buy because it's funny and new. It's definitely not something important to enter the world of Bitcoin... Let's see how this goes.

T-Mobile in Poland seems to accept Bitcoin too. And there are many services allowing to recharge your phone with Bitcoin, but that probably doesn't fit what you're looking for.

Bad move. Fortunately we are starting to have quite a few methods for merchants to accept Bitcoin payments in a secure and professional way on their websites, using decentralized services, hosted on their own servers if they want. Let's keep decentralization rising  |
