2041  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: RushWallet 2 Bitcoin Puzzle on: September 28, 2015, 02:54:53 PM
Yeah, this seems to be outdated now, didn't even realize the last wallet was moved back in April... If someone still has the video maybe it's possible to still crack wallet 1... And crack the remaining funds of wallet 30
2042  Other / Meta / Re: Forum hacked? on: September 27, 2015, 09:29:41 PM
Probably just an easter egg? Cheesy
2043  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is escrowcoin.net a scam? on: September 27, 2015, 08:58:25 PM
Never heard of such a website... But a quick search on google reveals a scam complaint. Are the owners known?

Anyways, you have trusted escrows on the forum that would gladly accept pretty much any service
2044  Other / Meta / Re: Make negative trust add units of evil to your IP? on: September 27, 2015, 07:38:06 PM
IP's given by an ISP might be completely different from each other, and scammers/red trusted users might use many IP's, proxies, VPN's, etc... That being said, it would be nice if such a system got implemented. It won't stop anyone, but it will definitely make them slower in accessing the forum, or it will eventually make them more frustrated Cheesy
2045  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Dragon Miner A1 module hashing at unusual amounts on: September 27, 2015, 07:24:27 PM
You'd probably get more help on Mining Hardware or perhaps on this thread. This sub-forum is for tech support related to Bitcoin, the blockchain and Core
2046  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Naughty America CEO: Millenials Want to Pay in Bitcoin on: September 27, 2015, 07:16:24 PM
Looks like they just want people's money. They don't seem to understand the technology as you currently have to pay more if you pay with bitcoin (instead of less!). I can't be too excited about this yet.

Well as a business speaking you can bet they want your money, everyone wants your money, but it's specially annoying when they don't understand the tech properly. Anyway I agree that the millenials want to pay in Bitcoin specially porn related stuff which is more anonymous.

This still doesn't explain why it costs more to pay in Bitcoin than in traditional way when in reality it's cheaper for the operator of the site to accept Bitcoin than Credit card payments for example.

The only way I can explain this is an anonymity card that they are charging. Especially after what happened with Ashley Madison hack and their users.

Why does it cost more to pay in Bitcoin? Didn't they use current exchange rates on exchanges to determine the Bitcoin price for the services?

I guess they're factoring in the loss of repeat card charging but that must cost a whole lot more than any jacked up fees could compensate for.

Very good point. They definitely don't want that to stop happening. There's always someone not paying attention or not really caring about their money.
2047  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has someone found any btc addy on directory.io with btc in it? on: September 27, 2015, 07:10:57 PM
I don't think anyone found anything on directory, but if I'm not mistaken someone found Clams on Buttcoins

Easier to earn a lot of coins on faucets, I think... Cheesy
2048  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin.com down wtf? on: September 27, 2015, 04:22:01 PM
Now they are running a forum on it, at forum.bitcoin.com, trying to compete BitcoinTalk.

Wow, they're not even hiding the fact they're copying bitcointalk... Even section names are pretty much the same.

They're offering 4 BTC for the best post Cheesy
2049  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: habloxfreebitcoin.com | 3500 SAT EVERY HOUR on: September 27, 2015, 02:27:56 PM
Wrong section. There's a Micro Earnings section on the forums.
2050  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Naughty America CEO: Millenials Want to Pay in Bitcoin on: September 27, 2015, 10:47:47 AM
Looks like they just want people's money.

Exactly, Which makes me wonder why did they took the Bitcoin option away, it was a source of profit...

Anyways, they found out again what people want, and they'll give people what they want. The benefits of Bitcoin in porn were very discussed around here and valid points were made. I bet they're aware of that.
2051  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's next for Gavin?? on: September 26, 2015, 10:14:26 PM
Gavin will either carry on as usual, or retire for disagreements with other devs. I think he'll opt for the first option. If XT fails miserably, It's definitely not the first thing he proposed in his life that failed Cheesy Besides, XT has other functionality beyond what regards big blocks/block size changes, so there will always be a userbase, even if it is really, really small.
2052  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: CoinDumper **Dump any Altcoin** on: September 26, 2015, 10:07:52 PM
If you can have and maintain a (wide) variety of altcoins, than it would be a great idea.
He must be a bill gate in order to have a wide variety of altcoins because people will just be dumping their failed coin on him.

No one will dump coins on OP. Coins will be dumped on exchanges and the OP is trying to create an easy way for people to do so.
2053  Other / Meta / Re: Trust level on: September 26, 2015, 10:02:40 PM
The trust level is there to give points to people who trade nicely here, to people who are generally good to the forums and to prevent scams to a certain extent. I think you rating is pretty self explanatory. Besides, this isn't the correct section for these kinds of posts, it would suit Meta better.
2054  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Marketing Bitcoin to the Masses: Selling 21 on Ignorance on: September 26, 2015, 07:18:14 PM
I agree... It's just too much hype for something that already seems to be available for a much smaller cost. As I've said on other threads regarding this, I don't really see what does this machine do, or why will it enable better coding of Bitcoin related apps/programs.

It's a bit of a novelty, something that one might buy because it's funny and new. It's definitely not something important to enter the world of Bitcoin... Let's see how this goes.
2055  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [SALE] Brand New Raspberry Pi 2 900Mhz 1GB [WORLDWIDE SHIPPING] $40 usd on: September 26, 2015, 01:26:01 PM
Seeing prices for a Registered Airmail shipped Pi 2 + case + power adapter. On the forums it's 40$+2$+4$=46$. On your website it's 38.50$+4.50$+1.80$+7$=51.80$. What's the difference? Is shipping not included for some places? Special promo for bitcointalk?
2056  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: CoinDumper **Dump any Altcoin** on: September 26, 2015, 11:07:23 AM

2057  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FreemBTC - best faucet on: September 26, 2015, 10:59:07 AM
Wrong section, you should post on Micro Earnings
2058  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is there a mobile phone operator that accepts Bitcoin? on: September 25, 2015, 07:53:33 PM
T-Mobile in Poland seems to accept Bitcoin too. And there are many services allowing to recharge your phone with Bitcoin, but that probably doesn't fit what you're looking for.
2059  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitpay's new business model... on: September 25, 2015, 06:48:29 PM
Bad move. Fortunately we are starting to have quite a few methods for merchants to accept Bitcoin payments in a secure and professional way on their websites, using decentralized services, hosted on their own servers if they want.

Let's keep decentralization rising Smiley
2060  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: China is going to produce container-sized 1 PETAHASH/S BTC mining machine. on: September 24, 2015, 02:35:21 PM
To start off, guarateed ROI is a lie. Chinese marketing, I guess Cheesy Interested to know n what kind of hardware this is running... Seems indeed like a really powerful container! I'm also curious on how much would setting up something like this would cost, instead of just buying their container.
