2801  Other / Meta / Re: Happy Birthday, theymos. on: June 15, 2021, 06:19:53 PM
@theymos
Congratulations on reaching that milestone; Not sure now that you're at 30, you like/hate being called one so I'd say "Happy 29+1 Birthday" instead Wink

Surprisingly it's my birthday too.
Happy 36th birthday Smiley
2802  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Paul Todor be the influencer to take BTC to the moon? on: June 15, 2021, 03:40:35 PM
Investing at least 5% of your assets in #Bitcoin is recommended by Paul Tudor Jones,
For me, it felt more like a suggestion as opposed to a recommendation...
- Regardless of the subtle differences between the two, I did enjoy seeing the interview and the fact that he'll be buying another 3 to 4% since he already has 1 to 2% of his assets in BTCitcoin.

Do you have any thoughts on where this will lead to Bitcoin? Is it moon time?
You might want to define the latter part first; If you meant for it to go near or above $100k, then I highly doubt that he or anyone else could influence it to that extent.
2803  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Goes Down From a Celebrity on: June 15, 2021, 01:51:30 PM
Just proves how people are not able to think for themselves.
Exactly... Unfortunately, most of them are after an easy route to success and it usually ends badly.

Why do people have to consider words from a celebrity to be correct?
Because they only see one of their sides; The side that represents success [regardless of its origin] as opposed to the other side that is nothing but failure.

Why would anyone invest lots of money into a project that is quite obvious has no involvement by any people? Referring to Dogecoin and people who invested into it.
Probably it has to do with heavily relying on whatever the hype and the trends are about and as a result, they tend to completely ignore the obvious signs.

What are your thought on this?
The current situation isn't that promising, but as time passes, they'll realize & learn from their mistakes.
2804  Economy / Speculation / Re: Number of transactions declining in last 2 months. on: June 15, 2021, 11:27:40 AM
There was no such bad month in the last 4 years.
Perhaps I'm a bit weird since I think it's the exact opposite [it led to fees going down drastically as well] Smiley
- Based on all of the previous ATH moments that were followed by crashes of that extent [purely based on what I've experienced and could recall], I expected this to happen and it did [quite normal].
2805  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] SatoshiBox [OpenSource] - Sell Digital files - Looking For Developers on: June 15, 2021, 08:48:52 AM
As mentioned, the project itself should be self sustaining in the future, as commissions from the sellers should give revenue.
Privacy/fee other information can be added by the website owner as per his policy.
I think @dkbit98 was referring to your own fee [is there any?] as opposed to other websites/marketplaces using SatoshiBox's source code and imposing their own fees [I could be wrong].

Feel free to get back with suggestions/questions
I did read the part you mentioned about not having complex features, but perhaps it's worth adding a system that automatically scans for suspicious files, prior to giving shareable links in return.
- I'm not a coder/developer by any means, so I'm not sure about its complexity.
2806  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: New website, BTCandME.net on: June 15, 2021, 06:45:29 AM
@smithlite86
I checked some of its parts & articles at random and it didn't feel like you were selling your own experience to the viewers/readers [one of its drawbacks]; I also noticed that half of them didn't have any thumbnails and those that had one, they weren't unique or original. You might want to also add screenshots or video tutorials [orignal] to those articles and lastly, a better server since it takes a few seconds for some of the parts to load.
2807  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Ang nawawalang Resibo at ang Blockchain. on: June 15, 2021, 05:27:43 AM
Maiiwasan sana tong ganitong problema kung bitcoin ang mode ng payment,
~Snipped~
Naisip ko tuloy di ko naman obligation na itago iyong kopya nila ng resibo di ba.
Regardless of that being your obligation or not [grey area], tama ka na ang isang solution is pag gamit ng BTCitcoin or other digital forms [tulad nung sinabi ni mk4] pero ang main issue pag dating sa BTCitcoin usage is yung pagiging volatile niya and that's another issue para sa mga institutes.
- Kailangan tlga mag swtich sila sa digital forms, dahil pwedeng mag fade or completely mawala ang ink sa resibo [kahit na nasa folder ito].
2808  Economy / Digital goods / Re: WTS LICENSE GUNBOT STANDART on: June 14, 2021, 04:54:22 AM
Gunbot Standart

Price : 280$

https://www.gunbot.com/get-started/ You can Check For Price License Standart features. Use Escrow !!
Something doesn't feel right, even though you've mentioned the word "Escrow"!
- Feel free to prove me wrong.

Price is too good to be true [almost half]
You're not an "official reseller"
For some weird reason, you've misspelled it a few times ["Standart"]

Note to potential buyers: Take extra caution when dealing with the above seller.
2809  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [List] Gift cards providers on: June 14, 2021, 03:31:48 AM
I haven't checked the other services for some time, so if you think I missed something important, please let me know so I update the topic.
It looks like Coincards has a few significant changes in regards to "Underpaid/Late Paid Invoices":

Below, you will find a brief summary of the significant changes:
  • When a refund is required, Coincards.com will only process refunds in Bitcoin. Any altcoin payments will be converted to their bitcoin equivalent and will need to be processed in Bitcoin only. Bitcoin refunds include both on-chain, or off-chain (Lightning) payments.
  • When an invoice is paid after the expiry timer, the invoice will be automatically processed at the current rate if there was no drop in value since the time of invoice. If the exchange rate has dropped since the invoice expiry, the value of the card will be automatically reduced. If we cannot reduce the amount of the card for any reason, we will contact the customer for a refund in bitcoin.
  • When an invoice is underpaid, the value of the card will be automatically reduced and processed. If we cannot reduce the amount of the card for any reason, we will contact the customer for a refund in bitcoin.

If you don't load your account with Bitcoins in advance, the current fees for instant transactions are pretty high.
AFAICR, fees have been quite low in the past couple of weeks or so: mempool.space
2810  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google has lifted its ban on crypto advertisements on: June 13, 2021, 03:39:56 PM
Though am I the only one who think that there's no crypto ad ban imposed before because I've seen crypto ads even before this announcement?
No, you're not the only one... I'm still seeing a lot of those ads [mostly from the reported threads on the "Scam Accusations" board] from time to time and I'm starting to think that everything has to be automated or else they would've "easily" rejected most of those ads.
- Having said that, usually, such ads are taken down quite quickly if someone reports them.

but it seems the crypto projects or company that are registered with FinCEN gonna be very few, after all many projects aren't available for the US citizen therefore they don't need to get registered with FinCEN
What do you think?
Due to the above quote [by aubert], I can't see it as a positive sign or even have an impact of any sort.
2811  Economy / Speculation / Re: Mining plants in China are shutting down. How will this be reflected on Btc on: June 13, 2021, 01:58:00 PM
mining is banned in CHINA. Each province will decide the timing to remove mining from their area.  Right now they just got notice so I would assume at least 30 days
A nationwide ban on BTCitcoin mining? Would you mind providing a "reliable" source in regards to that? I've tried looking for it on google but had no luck and lately, I've been reading a lot of conflicting news coming in/out of China.
- If what you've written here is indeed the case, then it could have some bad long-term effects [I'm referring to most of the ASIC manufacturers as opposed to its price].
2812  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Yunnan Provincial Energy Authority Disables Miners on: June 13, 2021, 12:22:08 PM
https://finance.sina.com.cn/tech/2021-06-12/doc-ikqciyzi9219950.shtml
In this article, it is written that the Yunnan Provincial Energy Authority will cut off the power supply for mining farms that do not have permission to do so.
I'm not sure which source to trust nowadays, but I'm leaning more towards the following instead: China’s Yunnan Province Did Not Order Miners to Shut Down, Despite Reports

China has seriously decided to fight bitcoin in order to push its own CBDC.
But who needs a Chinese centralized payment system?
The Chinese government, that's it.
- At one point, they were even looking into limiting the amount each individual could have [not sure if that's still the case].
2813  Economy / Economics / Re: Are you investing in crypto currency alone? on: June 13, 2021, 10:55:50 AM
how will you describe the economic situation in your country at the moment?
Awful...

I am curious, Apart from your crypto Holdings, what other investments do you have? Or are you investing in crypto alone?
Just to be clear, I've never seen cryptocurrencies [specifically BTCitcoin] as an investment asset and I've always used it as a "normal" currency and in regards to other investments, I've recently started investing 20% of my income [main job] into purchasing golds.
- I'm also looking into the possibility of either becoming a part-owner in a medical clinic or save more and become the sole owner [the latter comes with a lot of risks when it comes to ROI but I'd have more freedom].
2814  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can El Salvador's adoption of Bitcoin as legal currency increase interest in Sat on: June 13, 2021, 08:33:03 AM
Because of this, owning a Bitcoin must seem unfathomable to a vast majority of people living there so do you think this will lead to more people talking about Satoshis?

Possibly raising Bitcoin's interest even further?
Regardless of their minimum wages [and average income], the fact that it might sound like a completely new technology to some is more than enough to get their attention, and that'll always lead to more discussions being generated towards BTCitcoin.
- Having said that, scammers will surely try to take advantage of the situation so they could mislead tech-illiterate Salvadorians [unfortunately].
2815  Economy / Goods / Re: Offer a nice flat in Hungary near the Austrian border on: June 13, 2021, 04:38:11 AM
Price: 3,1 BTC (but I also prefer ETH, XRP or DOGE)
I don't think it's a good idea to state your price in BTCitcoin or other cryptocurrencies [due to their volatile nature]...
- You might want to consider replacing it with Dollars [$] instead and also mention if you're willing to go with one of the escrow providers [except me] from this forum [it'll help with the sale].
2816  Other / Meta / Re: How to add images and infographics on: June 13, 2021, 01:50:32 AM
Please attach a link to article or video where I can learn how to make an Announcement thread.
In addition to boyptc's post, the following threads might help you [try to combine them]:

Do you mean as a Jr.member one can post link and image? And is it only copper member that's available to buy? And how much could be the cost?
You can post links and if you try to post an image [as a Newbie], it'll turn into a link [until you rank up or purchase that membership].
- In regards to your last question, refer to "this" page.
2817  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB: mining farm in Canada or hosting services in Canada on: June 12, 2021, 08:56:37 AM
looking for a place in Canada to move my miners over here in Canada.
The only one that I know [I'm sure there are more] in Canada is "CryptoBoreas"...
- I'm not sure about their hosting capacity, but you can contact "allinvain" or read through their "announcement" thread.
2818  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Searches for crypto exchanges currently blocked in China on: June 12, 2021, 07:39:45 AM
Why does Eastern government always want to have everything under their control?? The sooner they come to terms with bitcoin being an assets that was never meant to be under the control of one entity the better for everyone.
When it comes to China, it's always about them [government] having more benefits than their users. AFAICR, a couple of months back they were looking into launching their own digital currency [centralized], so they could easily track everything and there were even talks of them limiting how much each individual could have in such form [ridiculous].
- Judging by recent events, at first it looks like they're just redirecting Chinese nationals so they could control everything and also gain a large extent of the market, but I have a feeling that their main objective extends beyond their borders.
2819  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Iran also wants to legalize crypto on: June 12, 2021, 05:36:51 AM
I was expecting and hoping for this to happen a lot sooner... Not sure why he chose to do such a thing at the end of his term; The timing of such a move doesn't make much sense to me [I'm probably missing something].
- If this really happens, then it'll be great news for all of the BTCitcoiners in Iran, but there's still the risk that the next president might impose something else [hopefully not].
2820  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I started a blog interviewing crypto people. I called it Crypto Fireside. on: June 12, 2021, 04:19:33 AM
Well if anyone is interested feel free to read and follow along.
Just did [Leandro's interview] and enjoyed it a lot Wink

If it takes off some, i'll probably get some dedicated hosting and run it through a CMS like wordpress.
Please do so and I think you can even add some sort of weekly/monthly polls in regards to who you should interview next and what type of question should be asked based on the interest of the readers/viewers.
- Just to be clear, I have nothing against your questions Smiley
