381  Economy / Service Discussion / BFL updates sans extraneous. on: April 18, 2015, 06:03:54 AM
Shall we try again?

Will set up guidelines for updating the community in this thread or I might just summarize here everything to date with weekly updates culled from the other BFL threads. Will write more when I get to a normal keyboard.
382  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BFL fucked us over again (redux) on: April 18, 2015, 06:01:11 AM
I recommend you separate your Kansas RO experience into it's own _SELF MODERATED_ thread.

It may become the most read content on BitcoinTalk into 2015. (I will "ask" all members to add it to their signature line if and when Bruno compiles his story).

Need a new thread already full of star trek next gen Pakled's.
383  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BFL fucked us over again (redux) on: April 17, 2015, 10:18:16 PM
I smell a new subpoena coming just for dabitcoinguy...

Bruno,  why haven't you brought up the 2600 BTC sent to Bitstamp Dec 6/7 2013?  That would have been around $2.5 mil.

Not much work to do there Bruce Peterson?

Bruno,  I am not this Bruce person and I am at school, not work.
384  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [GUIDE] B's Last Ethical & Trustworthy Miner Sellers Trustworthiness Guide on: April 17, 2015, 03:18:58 PM
Did Dogie sell top spot on his guide to Bitmain while other allegations are now surfacing from a number community members about unethical behavior on Dogie's part.

It is interesting in theory and it seems Spondoolies is in the act making some waves in Dogie's thread about unethical behavior that Bitmain was involved with that Dogie knows about. Interesting and I started this thread knowing full well it was a jab at Dogie for his BIAS rating system. Given recent allegations of scams involving VAT tied to Dogie as well as being caught in a number of lies he has told recently the trend is clear Dogie is less than reputable and consumers should avoid his "shop" as well as ratings of fabricators.

Bitmain dropped 10 points when I became involved with them.
Canaan Creative dropped 3 points when I became involved with them.
Spondoolies' rating has risen over the same period, even during the problems of under performing SP30 preorders.

Please don't bring the minuscule dropping of points into discussion because I already showed the real reasoning for this small drop(this was just a small step out of many steps for getting Bitmain to the top). If you want I can always refresh your memory.

Disclaimers
I provide technical support for 2 companies - Bitmain and Canaan Creative. Neither of these contracts has any influence over company ratings.
...
I don't believe this statement is true

Bitmain dropped 10 points when I became involved with them.
Canaan Creative dropped 3 points.
Spondoolies' rating has risen over the same period, even with the problems of under performing SP30 preorders.
I don't have a proof, but I think you know some stuff about Bitmain ethics which you refrain from taking into account.
I can't reveal what it is.

Hello. I'm writing to let you know that due to a subpoena that I received related to a case against BFL, I was forced to release some of your PMs.

In particular, I released all PMs that you sent to or received from the following people, possibly even if you deleted the PM:

Inaba
BFL-Engineer
BFL_Josh
SLok
BFL_Sonny
BFL AM Dave
bcp19
nibbknot

Who was nibbknot then?

Interesting.

"BTW, when are we going to get those tens of thousands PMs and other info off Bitcointalk from theymos?"

Got my 2.
386  Other / Meta / Re: Staff Hypocrisy and Selective Enforcement of Rules on: April 17, 2015, 02:18:44 PM
(Speaking of hypocrisy, Tecshare has left at least three people negative feedback based on feelings alone.  Why is he complaining if he feels others do it?)

Indeed. This specific complaint gets banded about a lot but its pretty contradictory.

Two of those people left me negative trust ratings first because they did not like things I said on the forum. The one I left for Armis was because he refused to stop harassing me via my market place postings, not because of my "feelings". Theymos took the opportunity to twist it into some violation of the unwritten unspoken code of being on the default trust, and a violation of free speech, that warranted removal from the list over that one incident.

Yet here Vod is doing this over and over and it is acceptable. He has done this to multiple people, some times multiple times. Every time he pretends he learned his lesson, kisses Tomatocages ass, and he lets him continue abusing the system and doing it all over again like it never happened a month or two later if not sooner.

You left a false feedback. See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=846683.0;all

If you leave a feedback which says "he is <anything (true) here> on my thread". It will be okay but you can't put a negative feedback unless he is lying about you in your thread.. AFAIK neutral feedback wasn't there at that time, so it is better not to leave any negative feedback unless he is lying about you in your thread.

Vod put negative feedback in your(& others) trust page for lying about him and maybe for other activities like "staff selwctive enforcement" and "irrelevant comments about trust system".

Quote
Constantly posts lies about me in an effort to have me removed from the default trust list. I am not protected by forum staff. Honest discussion is one thing, but he just posts BS with absolutely no basis.

Not trustworthy.

Once again, I know how you all love making this about me over and over, but please resist your uncontrolled impulses to go off topic and use character assassinations as a method to avoid the topic at hand. It is funny how willing you are to chastise me for a single incident, yet when people like Vod repeatedly violate these same standards you willfully apply to me, suddenly the standards change and are no longer important or suddenly don't apply.

Ask Dogie about that... he would know about the inconsistency given his spam of my thread and no ban. I hear you brother keep fighting the good fight.
387  Other / Meta / Re: BFL subpoena on: April 17, 2015, 11:49:56 AM
@theymos,

are you obliged to give them these 'data' or not?

Awesome.  Cheesy

Use PGP if you want privacy. Wink

You are right, I can't imagine someone read a pgp encrypted message and he doesn't know what the hell is write in that message (because he doesn't have the key for decrypt it ).

Subpoena is a court order, so yes he has to respond (either consent or fight it in court) or he can be jailed.

And yes you should always use PGP or something else for sensitive communications.

I hope they enjoy reading my pm's to Inaba warning him to stop trolling and derailing threads, and him whining about someone else starting it.

1. Bad form badbear shouldn't talk about Inaba behind his back.
2. The issue for the forum is going to be persistent given the loads of scams present. This won't be the last time you are going to get a subpoena. Might want to start collating all the other major scams you can. Good luck.
388  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Sfards: SF3301 Specifications Revealed [Updated 14/4/15] on: April 17, 2015, 11:30:29 AM
well if you mean 'interested parties" in the board.....(ie a working unit even in beta i can help you all with by running etc) you can count me in

if you mean a 'sample board' with test chips and you expect me to know wtf is going on with it ....er probably i should wait till you get the stuff out in production

but hey....I'll turn anything on you want to send me to test 24/7 if the above is to your liking.....(i have no life wtf)

so again if the above applies also to probably getting this toy count me in...... if this is test mode only ....use the above considerations (i know my limits)
Our development board will consist of 1 SF3301 chip mounted on a board and will include 2 12v power boards (one for the BTC side and one for the LTC side). We can also offer an optional Controller Board for a little extra cost.

Thanks SFards for adding me to list!  I look forward to playing with one Smiley

*On a side note you might put stipulations on what it takes to get one.  Just makes it a manageable and realistic list.
Very welcome!

Well the requirements are merely based on interest and whether you’d like to build something with the SF3301. Our goal is to provide something to developers who want to explore the capabilities of the chip.

For all interested parties, Dev Board pricing and shipping timeframes will be coming soon.

You might want to pre-qualify people some how rather than waste boards on people who have little intention of using them for development.
389  Other / Archival / Re: quickseller on: April 17, 2015, 11:23:40 AM
I like how several people post here telling you how you would have verified that the seller actually owned such an account, which is what I asked by the way... Yet you ignore it and pretend that you would have logged into the account and changed the password, like I ever asked that.

Turns out quickseller is one of the most pretendious persons in this forum. Pretty sad people like him own a place in the default trust. Tongue

Ask the person who has him on their list to remove him problem solved.

Guys a nuisance and should not be on a trust list of anyone if this is how he behaves.

The discussion needs to be had

The discussion needs to be had, but that was not a discussion.

Reality and 800+ pages prove you're flatout wrong. The thread should've been moved, not locked. Roll Eyes

800+ pages containing a low percentage of useful post and a tonne of useless posts. Quite a few different topics being argued (since BFL fucked people over in quite a few different ways). That thread is a mess. I would have personally kept it open until BFL has to close up shop, but it was bound to be locked sooner or later.

The thread has definitively served a purpose though. And it still is there for reference.

Now where's the thread on Josh vs. Bruno again?

Agreed. Too much noise little signal especially in the last year.
394  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Sfards: SF3301 Specifications Revealed [Updated 14/4/15] on: April 15, 2015, 07:21:48 AM
I think the more "unclear" Dogie's relationship is with Bitmain it makes it easier for Spondoolies to maintain a clear customer service lead.

Whatever the diminished roll he has it really isn't benefiting Bitmain seems to do the opposite if even their main competitor is willing to openly take measured pot shots at his affiliation.

Compare the tenor of this thread versus Bitmain threads where Dogie's been posting. Seems to be a much better atmosphere here and actual answers seem to make out it to even the most disgruntled Spondoolies customers whereas Dogie's intervention has had the opposite effect in some cases.

I guess asking them why the keep Dogie at all would be the next question. Baffling.

How is the new chip coming along Guy?
395  Other / Archival / Re: quickseller on: April 15, 2015, 06:55:14 AM
I have a feeling this thread is going to be the next 'dogie hate thread' but for quickseller. We might even get some action from tecshare, who knows?

Someone lock it please.

Why? No one locked the dogie scam thread when quickseller swooped in and trashed people there.

I am sure we're all big boys and girls that allows people to comment quite naturally to the similarities in both people.

Irregardless worhiper is primed to make a few more posts to see if his logic might sink in... again I'd say just negative rep back and walk away nothing is going to change.
396  Other / Archival / Re: quickseller on: April 15, 2015, 05:12:57 AM
Who is Quickseller trying to be a carbon copy of Dogie or something. Welcome to the ignore list and I will be sure to warn anyone off that asks me about your services or sales. Run don't walk away from this unprofessional person.

Cripes the same sort of drag it out when a simple solution where you COMPROMISE would be sufficient to make everyone happy.

I can see why this guy defends Dogie they are brothers or something.

Worhiper it is obvious no matter how hard you try to make a logical argument this guy is never going to be swayed. Cut your losses neg rep him back for being a douchebag and move on.

You argueing semantics. The trust rating is factually accurate.

Negative trust is usually appropriate. The only exception to this rule would be when there is some change of circumstances that are reasonably out of any ones control and reasonably were not anticipated.

Edit: the vast majority of the I hate Vod/quickseller/tomatocage threads are made by scammers.

It's not accurate but of course you're not willing to admit that. Let me breack this down for ya so you can no longer play it dumb...

How hypocritical huh? I asked you to honor the original terms me and the other party had already agreed upon and hired you to secure a transaction with.

which would cause the other party he is trading with to be put at risk.

You are claiming that I asked you to change the password of the account before receiving money, I didn't.

I would avoid doing business with this person.
Good, post some neutral feedback then since this is a personal opinion.
397  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [GUIDE] B's A More Ethical & Trustworthy Miner Sellers Trustworthiness Guide on: April 15, 2015, 01:49:08 AM
 Is Spondoolies perfect? No.

There are always issues and not every customer is going to be 100% satisfied but it is in those moments of duress that a good company will show what is required to be a great company. I still think customers consider Spondoolies to be a great company even when problems occur they always do what is required in resolving the issue without resorting to name calling and backhanded comments. Bitmain should really learn that lesson and do more. Especially in cases where they and other fabricators employ or contract spokesmen that are rude and disrespectful to the community members they should immediately reprimand or fire such an individual. Professionalism is coming to bitcoinland and it is about time. Too bad it has to happen when home mining becomes obsolete if only there were competition early on in the FPGA days BFL and other scams would have had less of an impact.

Two recent cases in point.

Edgar

best of luck HerbPean!!

After over 2 weeks of non-support, i was finally permitted to return the DOA already RMA'd board back yesterday.

hopefully the next one wont be a dud, and if it is the returns process hopefully wont be so prolonged like this time.

with the accusations & attitude

quite disappoint-Ed

@Gordon - did you get sorted out yet?

and HerbPean

Allright,

RMA is close, Unit will be on my way tomorrow (I guess).

Hope I can hash a bit more coins with it ;-)

In an act of good faith they replaced one of my faulty board that had a short on the first ASIC (0) causing the ASIC (1) to not usable.

The replacement board has also a bad ASIC 0 but I will be able to use the ASIC 1.

Thanks you for this !

It wasn't tested before shipping back to you?

The unit will be shipped tomorrow. It has already been tested.

399  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience BM1384 Project Development Discussion on: April 14, 2015, 06:31:56 PM

@bick
That is an idea but that's going to be a ways out as right now we don't even have miners.  At such a point as we did have miners, pretty much anyone would be able to do something like that by purchasing miners.  Or you could purchase existing miners now.  That would be more efficient than stickminers in the ~$500 range anyhow.

--
novak

Well efficient is not the point. Education requires something that works. Is budget friendly and something that can be used by a group huddled around a laptop also note shipping costs will be a lot lower for a more worldwide distribution. Power Supplies, loud fans etc not really conducive to learning environments. Stickminers are perfect. Ok no worries as this would be ideally something we can discuss if you have some free time and workable units. I will keep checking back in with you guys when you are nearly there. In the mean time I will map out some lesson plans etc for our students on this potential project so if and when things are right on your end we are ready to go here.
400  Other / Meta / Re: Deleted posts in the Hardware BFL Thread, Double Standards, and Hypocrisy on: April 14, 2015, 06:14:30 PM
There was infinitely tooooooooo much crap he posted to make it useful to most people.

He needs an editor.

Even when he had good information it was often too much, poorly annotated and hard to follow for the average person and that was the point of the thread I thought to WARN people off BFL. Job done it worked fairly well but as BFL stopped making units and were no longer a player in the real marketplace the thread was properly characterized by CK as nearly worthless to most people and it was in the wrong section for over 2 years as it morphed into a scam thread as I said before.

I am trying to gather some of the posts I made in the past to organize that into something that the judge might want to read. What Josh attempted was plain amateur threat hour and when I met him in person about a year ago in HK he seemed to forget those threats so much so he didn't bother repeating them to my face. I wonder why? I know why he is a COWARD.

Anyhow the beat goes on there is still the FTC case and certainly there will be more real hard news to come out of all this and that is really what I would like to have as a thread. Something where you can follow along as these rat bastards get thrown jail. They deserve no quarter and none shall be given by the government I hope. Those consumers burned by BFL need a nice repository here to follow the story something that is self-moderated to keep out the chaff.

I said the thread should have been locked and filed under trash what almost a year ago?

Surprised it lasted this long.

No great loss just rehash all the same stuff in the service thread or wherever you want.

Personally I would prefer to read about the LEGAL side of things that XIAN posts and people discuss the rest of the "drama" is extraneous at this point and it belongs in Scams really. It have to be self-moderated to cull all the shit out.

Gleb should start his own BFL style thread and people wanting to indulge in his explorations of everything BFL can go there.

At this point in time BFL is done like dinner so the noise to signal was not really helpful to anyone other than those who were getting the inside jokes about "chickens" and what not.

Meh.

BFL were shitheads. We all get that now.

Why were certain things deleted? FEAR makes sense.

Well I agree with you Bick in some things. Gleb's contribution to this case is crucial and tremendous and that thread was pretty informative and humor kept us going. I ask you to join us and contribute as you have done in the past. You have had a very bad experience with BFL. I personally think that you should write to the judge of what Josh has done to your family. You would only be telling the truth.
