this is so fucked, useless thread and this guy is rude

I'm doing my best, everyone has differing opinions.

Just clarify the status on Avalon. If they don't exist remove them. If this new entity with the good people remains but doesn't sell product then it doesn't really matter does it for your ratings. As for the RUDE SOB who keeps trolling let em rot.

1364  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - Best W/GH/s ratio, Best $/GH/s ratio on: June 13, 2014, 09:13:00 AM
Hi everyone;

I had an issue with the PSU (broke because of bad luck). Spondoolies replied to mail 5 mns after my request with : "give us your pool credentials".
Few hour later I had a SP10 configured in israel hashing for me. Thanks Spondoolies !
I now received my fresh new PSU and everything is back to normal. Thanks Spondoolies !
Firmware 1.4.3 is awesome, 1.5+TH/s with 1%-0.5% HW errors. Thanks Spondoolies !

If anyone read me and want to invest in a miner, I highly recommend SP-T. They are reliable, great after sales support and well... good at what they do.

@SP-Tech : Thank you again team, you have better after sales support than some of the biggest IT actor on the market.

Oh shut up SP-tech now you are just showing off. Cripes. LOL.
1365  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Why is BITMAIN selling used products ? on: June 13, 2014, 07:59:26 AM
Recently bought many antminers and 29% of them were obviously used.

PCB's, fan, aluminum heatsink were full of dust. I had to air pressure clean the heatsink and big chunks of dirt came out.

How can a big name like BITMAIN do this (from my reading, i am far from being the only one).

Is it an ancient Chinese tradition to sell used stuff as new ?  Tongue

No more "ancient Chinese" than new American tradition. See BFL for case in point.

You might want to stick to the company and lay off the nationality / race / culture angle. No one likes the racial overtones even from a fellow Quebecois d'accord?

1367  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Product Failures / Underperformance. on: June 13, 2014, 05:12:59 AM
Is BCP still desperately shilling for BFL?
Yep.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confirmation_bias
"Confirmation bias (also called confirmatory bias or myside bias) is the tendency of people to favor information that confirms their beliefs or hypotheses.[Note 1][1] People display this bias when they gather or remember information selectively, or when they interpret it in a biased way. The effect is stronger for emotionally charged issues and for deeply entrenched beliefs. People also tend to interpret ambiguous evidence as supporting their existing position."

BCP is the poster child for confirmation bias.

I bet BCP thinks Sonny didn't serve time for his part in $25 million worth of mail fraud. It was all just a "misunderstanding".  Grin

Shillers gonna shill. But shillers ain't gonna get monarchs.

There are quite a few people that seem to lack that ability to think and reason without extreme bias. The Emperor's New Clothes comes to mind everytime I see BCP post.

So... is it time to start speculating on "underperformance" for BFL monarchs? Are they mining them at Eclipse already?

They were mining them on Eclipse. I was right.
1368  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Dragon 1T = Wife not happy! (Fan Noise) on: June 13, 2014, 05:06:18 AM
Is there a quieter 120mm fan that can be swapped out and provide as much airflow?

Time to upgrade.

The wife.

1369  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Why is BITMAIN selling used products ? on: June 13, 2014, 05:04:34 AM
i have been buying S1s off bitmain in large quantities. its a mixed bag.

Some of them are perfect pristine brand new 2014 units. some of them were 2013 units. some of them had dust. some had dents, some came with extra parts, yes seriously. one of them came with an extra capacitor in the bag, UNUSED!

All my units have worked perfectly.

9 out of 10 they were perfect.

no major issues. only one malfunctioning order out of 200.

The only very minor issues.

1 out of 200 had a broken fan blade, happened during shipping.

1 out of 150 had flaking paint on the support brackets on the end.

1 out of 100 the White ribbon cable came loose and didnt hash at 100% off the bat.

1 out of 50 had dented heatsinks.

1 out of 30 had very light dust.

1 out of 75 had extream dust. This was when their testing facility was underoing construction.

1 out of 10 had excess thermal paste which I appreciated the sight of.

I think that is a pretty solid endorsement for BitMain. I would not hesitate to buy from them again given the price was right and I had a need for more hashing power.  Given the alternatives really BitMain is one of the most solid companies in Bitcoinland for purchasing miners from.
1370  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Technobit Fucks Us Over Again on: June 13, 2014, 03:18:03 AM
So where did we leave off?

Yes ok Marto has just "doubled" his fees, error in one tired GB members calculations, for the GB and has for weeks delayed and delayed as much as he could so that he could get those chips and build the boards he had ordered BEFORE even having the chips tsk tsk tsk. He had to cover his ass and then sell his boards or face ruin and so he ignored the majority of the people in the GB wanted for 2 weeks.

Johnthedong Sends in refund request on September 18th 2013.

Code:
Quote
I sent the refund order in already, and the funds should show up at
http://blockchain.info/address/1NrWRA6RWapSqYHuEAGRnxjdnWoKgucDhT
when avalon sends the refund in.

Cheers,
John

Marto74 finally posts the refund notice most of the group buy members wanted for weeks:

Code:

Dear , participants ,

The refund order is sent.
Those of you that choose to refund , please send and e-mail to
refund@technobit.eu with signed message with flowing input:
 <GB#>,<No in the list>,<forum nick>; <N>; <C>; <sending address>

Those that want your chips will get them , so please send
e-mail to chips@technobit.eu  with signed message with following input:

<GB#>,<No in the list>,<forum nick>; <N>; <C>;
<sending address>; <your delivery address/  manufacturer

Best Regards: Martin

Members of the GB request confirmation that emails are being received in order to pin Marto74 down on this because he is not keeping a public list or confirming emails are received. Piss poor accounting and transparency another group of things Marto74 needs to reflect upon.

Code:
Can you confirm the emails you received ... or can you give us a list of missing confirmations refund or chips?

The amounts in the list are based on 0,07821 BTC per chip , that is the Avalon cost that was refunded to the escrow address .
The rest 9 % are the GB tax including the escrow fee.
The escrow fee of 2 % - 0,0015642   BTC per chip is not refundable .
The rest fee of  almost 7 % - 0,0052258 BTC   came to me.
I think I deserve some payment for all the time and efforts in organizing this venture , but if you all decide to ask it in full I'll honor this
I'll left the participants of the GB1 to decide what to do with this tax, in any case I'll be able to refund it in 25 days.
In monday I'll ask for vote about that.
Again everybody , please check the list and in case of any mistakes please send me a PM.
In sunday 18:00 GMT I'll send final list to Jhon K for sending the refund transfers.
GB2 , that is going to be delivered in time is not decided for now, we'll do it next week.

Again thank you for the patience
Best Regards: Martin

there's no need for a vote, design fees should be included in PCB cost, not on
chips which we never received, at last we saw why your board price is cheaper
than another - cause your calculations are all wrong!

and a few others complain about it

Code:
agreed. Also there was no word on the HEX16 being designed at the start
of this GB1 when we paid for the chips. It was not part of the terms.
Also, even if this wasn't the case,I'm not willing to pay a design fee when
you still have given no word on what will done with boards of people with a
chip refund.
Can they be refunded when gen2 arrives and new people start ordering? If
not there would be no need for a design fee since you then basically got free
boards to sell.

And now he gets angry and defensive to the GB member who rightfully question his slick attempt to skim off more from the customers.

You do not need to offend me.

Just say that you think I do not deserve payment for organizing this group. THAT IS ENOUGH

And the customer rightfully explains his frustrations... tune in tomorrow to see where Marto74 tries to weasel people next. There is a clear pattern here with Marto74. People should really avoid this guy it is clear even at this stage he has little intention of helping solve problems but rather solve his own problems at the expense of his customers.

Don't forget to open source it.... whoops.

$ per gh/s for a finished unit?

Delivery date?

Please Bick...don't even start competing against Marto...
He have a long track record about HardWare BTC miners (and now even Scrypt !).

You : A LED blinking board...ROFL...
After this post Bick put a negative trust rating on you ..... ROFL
Judge Bick pronunced his judgment Cheesy
I think this is pathethic and the things gone a little bit too far , don't you think , BICK ?

The WASP project is a bit a joke at this point, but I (mostly) let Bicknelski keep dreaming his dream.  Bringing their progress, or lack thereof really doesn't add much to the conversation short triggering one of his rage fuelled rants.  Probably best just to ignore the whole situation.

I respect your appraisal but disagree.

In terms of hate fuelled rants. You can have a look at who is doing all that particularly Loshia.

If you can't reimburse people you have taken money from then you deserve to be called out.

Unfortunately Marto74 doesn't want to play by those rules. Notice he never responds to those questions about what he owes with yes sorry give me your address and I will send you the BTC right now. Never and that is the difference here my friends. I have held coin for others. I have refunded people. I have made errors and I have apologized to customers. Marto74 is definitely not like me. He takes your money and if things go a little sideways he looks to cover his own ass first. If you want to do business with people like that fine you are welcome to do business with him. Where this all comes to a head for me is that he starts railing against me and the WPC in an effort to deflect the focus off his bad deeds. Again if you want to ignore his crimes fine. But I don't have to.

I was polite and I respectfully declined Loshia offer for competition with Marto74 on this very thread. Why because we are not in competition and I told them just worry about your customers there are number of them with complaints and they started this shit slinging campaign that continues on today all over bitcointalk. They threatened to 'end me' in no uncertain terms in PM's so this is what you get when push me. I won't be backing down till they make good on all the people who have had a legitimate complaint of fraud and misappropriation of funds against Marto74 and Technobit. My reputation from those who have done any business with me is clear and above board and never once resulted in people never wanting to do business with me again.

I am quite a reasonable person and the 55 members of the WPC are all quite reasonable people. The hardware and software engineers working on boards are reasonable people and again if our dreams do not meet the expectations of the community that is not really our concern cause we do this internally not taking the communities money. One thing is sure we won't be out here to rip anyone off like Marto74. He can try to deny it, the evidence is available in the forums for all to see, and shout down people and pay off people make positive posts or attacks on me or the WPC that is fine it doesn't really affect me or the WPC really.

The only way this ends now is if he makes people he stole from whole. He is ruining his own business with his own practices and his campaign to negate my voice. Pointing out his lack of ethical behavior doesn't take a lot of effort and that is why I will from this point forward ONLY post about Marto74 and his troll like followers in the Technobit Fucks Us Over thread to save everyone anyone more distractions. Now I suggest you will not see the same thing from Marto et al. You will continue to see him campaign against me in pretty unflattering ways. But again no matter this game only ends for me when he fully refunds everyone.
1372  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: To all WASP members and participants on: June 13, 2014, 02:22:32 AM
Dear , WASP leader BICK (aka LED boy  Cheesy )
The fact is that attacking us and attempt to ruin our business with moderated treads,
and bringing up all our failures 3+ months behind , is not going to make a working WASP design.
Yes, we had troubles delivering, and there are people angry @ us.
But the fact is that everybody got their hardware or compensation or refund .
There are only a few from Avalon GB1, that ask for a fee refund, that is not refundable by the GB rules.

When the thief makes the rules.

Folks he had a GB that was like 5 to 6 months old, put a post in the thread (not PM) said everyone who had placed an order had a week to reply and then he was keeping everyone elses money.

Was not part of the rules, and he wants people to believe that as he made these posts these were the new rules.

So I made a new rule, let everyone and anyone know what a thief he is. Seems to be working out well.

He is now giving private incentives to his few good customers to repair his damaged trust, just like Josh did (thieves work the same)
No one is fooled by your tricks Marto. Refund the money to everyone you screwed.

Tsk tsk tsk...

Is he buying people off?

Wow. That is just sad.

I will be putting all my Marto74 efforts into a single thread and refrain from posting about him and his trolls in other threads. So to save the community from at least my own ramblings.  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=647966.0
1373  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: AMT fucks us over again on: June 13, 2014, 01:39:52 AM
Holy shit is AMT trolling someone that is suing them in public? What fucking goons.

The stupid is EXTREMELY strong with these halfwits.

My guess is they are looking for a reaction from Clenell. They want something and he should be careful with their games.  The smart money here is for him to ignore them completely, advise legal council and do EXACTLY what his legal council advises him to do, my guess is that advice will be STFU and let the lawyer do the talking...

And some people wonder why others want to see these fucktards get their comuppins!

Edit: Wow just noticed this little gem lol.  AMT felt it appropriate to release a voice mail left by one of the plaintiff's which included the dudes fucking phone number...  They then go on to taunt him some more, OMFG calling AMT fucktards is an insult to actuall fucking fucktards...  You just can't make this shit up wow!  Shocked

Here ya go.

Here is a recording of Mr. Lenell, this is the man that is leading the class action against AMT.

Because we need wanted to sell to him from the beginning. But he begged, for 4 weeks.

* REMOVED LINK OF RECORDING TO RESPECT MR. LENELL'S PRIVACY * (following athgaurd suggestion)

Straight up hack job. Given what AMT has already done to people you really shouldn't be supporting them after this how can you even trust a company that doxxes in this manner. Sickening. That reaches the Josh Zerlan level of creepiness. Best situation is for people to get their refunds and get away from AMT and Technobit as fast as you can.
1374  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: BFL Monarch - Delivery Dates on: June 13, 2014, 01:35:47 AM
So let's see if I get the math on this one.

1,000 broken boards only hashing @ 400GH/s each is 400TH/s.

At the current difficulty that's 17.1109 BTC/Day (almost a block per day).

@ $575/BTC = $9,838.79/Day or $293,384.29/Month.

Tough life.

Isn't that same amount rough of hash that bumped Eclipse's total rate?
