IMO Iran is desperately trying to provoke an armed response from the USA. I would wager the Chinese have pledged to back them up militarily if it were to happen, and if it did Russia would likely step in too. China can't take the USA alone, but with Russia and Iranian fronts also active they have a very good chance. This is 100% strategic rope a dope type tactics. Thankfully Trump has resisted this response so far. China is suffering economically and they are desperate to find ways to change the status quo, and a very irate Iran is a convenient proxy to do so for them.

This is starting to look like a standard practice for a lot of teams stiffing bounty workers. I looked over the bounty post, the only thing that I saw coming close to the terms stating they are subject to change is this:
"6. Information about the bounty can be subject to change by the project team, at their discretion."
This is very poorly worded. Considering these people are using an insufficiently written contract to try to fuck their contributors, I would say it is quite justified that same poorly written contract be interpreted to the letter, and that means they did not disclose CONTRACT TERMS were subject to change. I would say a flag for this case is more than justified. I would also suggest bounty workers start archiving and getting explicit statements from project managers from now on before starting work, as well as verifying that those terms are not subject to change. I would also oppose the flag if the project team made good on their bounty obligations, but I am not holding my breath.

Yeah because nobody in the history of the forum has ever created a second account  So your argument is others aren't complaining because sock puppets exist? Good point Nutilduhhh. None of this back and forth matters. The development team is not financially responsible for securing anything short of proving them having been actively engaged in fraud. Everyone invests in these projects at their own risk. Exchanges are responsible for securing assets under its control. The fact that it sat around for months getting robbed is something any halfway competent IT security team would have detected, and is not the responsibility of the development team. As a result of its own negligence it is apparent they are insolvent and do not have the requisite coins to represent its actual token allotment. Given that sorting this out is way more complicated than could be done by such a half assed run company, let alone a team that would have noticed this problem earlier, they are in way over their heads.
Right now I would estimate they are trying to quietly buy into this token and buying time to do so cheaply as they continue to collect trading fees. Holding a customers coins hostage for months is the kind of thing that tends to drive a coins price down. This whole time they are also trying to fumble thru what if any fraudulent accounts are left holding any funds hoping it is significant enough to fill the gap.
Livecoin needs to come clean and stop playing backdoor games. If they don't this is going to be much worse than simply the loss of this one coin holding. Admit fault, issue temporary not withdraw-able tokens to represent the lost funds to be fulfilled over time. Another option would be to "socialize" the losses and give every token holder a haircut for immediate withdrawl. Obviously not going to be popular but being honest about it at least allows people who are not willing to tolerate this response the opportunity to pick other exchanges for future use. Look into the way BTC-E handled it, IMO they did a good job in basically the worst of circumstances. It was a much different cause, but a similar scenario regarding obligations to the customer base but on a larger scale.
So does anyone have any refutation for this argument here or are you all just going to pretend this is about a shitty, unenforceable, possibly illegal TOS? |

Unless I'm talking about something new, I almost never cite sources during informal discussion. I thought it was common knowledge that the US spends more per capita than any other country. I also thought it was common knowledge that the US has a low life expectancy relative to other countries with similar wealth. With that said, I admit I have a problem thinking too many things are common knowledge and don't always cite things when sometimes they should be cited.
The problem with TECSHARE is that he doesn't even believe in widely accepted truths. When I have cited psychology literature, he writes it off because the entire field of psychology is a farce to him. So is Science. When you are talking to someone who has embraces pseudo-science, and simply writes off scientific 97% of scientific citations, there really is no point in citing anything. There is no getting anywhere really. To him, anything that doesn't support his point is deconstructive postmodernism grounded in the same ideology that caused a drought in Ukraine almost a century ago.

The point was that even if everything you presented was correct, it would still be of the lowest forms of evidence available. You don't cite anything because you don't have the capability to competently review your sources, and you know that I do. Everything I don't support is not, "deconstructive postmodernism" (its deconstructivist btw), just the vast majority of what you have to offer. I think this is a matter that is not being judged fairly. Yes, it is a foreign nation but that doesn’t give the citizens the right to harass foreigners or stalk them. Rocky acted in self defense after various verbal warnings to his assailants which i believe were under influence. If he had no respect for the law,he would never had honored the invitation of the authorities. It is inhumane to keep him held up in a poor facility without presenting all the facts quickly. If that is the case, the legal course of action would be to call the police. I get in the real world shit like this happens, but it also doesn't excuse it. You don't have a right to beat the shit out of people just because they are drunk and following you. That is not self defense. |
