661  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beginner needs your advices in gambling. on: November 17, 2023, 02:13:07 AM
I’m a new member here, and I want to gamble on online casinos. I found some good trusted casinos. And I want to begin with a game with a low budget. First, I need your suggestions about the best games, slots. Live casino for a beginner.
Do you think Me starting gambling would effect me in my real life or make me addicted to gambling. What’s you suggestion and advices.

A lot of online gambling casinos tend to notice the trend of confused newbies and therefore they usually offer practice games. You can play them to try out the game itself and get a feel for it. So whatever you do, don't just start off with real money if you don't understand how the game works. But it is your money, so.. you do you.

What kind of casinos are you hoping to try out? Go ahead and share the names, just in case someone from the community has something to say about mentioned casinos.
662  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Casinos with Online and Offline version, Are they the same? on: November 17, 2023, 12:35:25 AM
I think the most disappointing thing about offline casinos is that they are trying to be offline but at the same time, digitized.

Let me explain what I mean with an example : you go into a casino in Las Vegas and sit down to play slots. Except the machine won't accept change or dollars, it only accepts pre-paid deposits on some BS membership card. Later you decide to try Blackjack, but you quickly learn that the Blackjack table is now a computer screen on a different machine. All this is very disappointing and different from how you remember the casino experience, even a decade ago.

You decide to go home and gamble on your own computer screen. The end.

At least, that is how I feel about the current state offline gambling casinos.
663  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Eure besten (oder schlechtesten) Bärenmarkt Durchhalteparolen on: November 16, 2023, 07:32:44 PM

664  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 16, 2023, 06:54:53 PM

Surely, I am NOT into the idea of moving coins for the mere sake of moving them because sometimes moving the coins might create security vulnerabilities.

I would argue that if you keep moving your coins from wallet to wallet, at some point sooner or later, you will most likely encounter a security problem or make a human mistake. The second one being more likely.
665  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you guys believe in other people luck and try to copy them? on: November 16, 2023, 06:51:25 PM
Whenever I am low on cash on the casino I play which includes a sport book I like to copy other people bets, usually parlays with odds over 1000 and I think to myself who cares if I play for example 50 bets copying other people with 200 IDR as my base bet,if any of these guys hits it big I will do to.Notice that I put 1000 as a minimum here but the reality is that I have been copying bets with over 700.000 as odds,I damn love these huge multipliers yet no one has got such one in sport betting.

Of course in here it is not about skill or luck games anymore but it is about destiny,so tell me how many of you are deceived by dreams that may change your destiny like I am  Grin?

Luck is a completely unrealistic concept which does not exist in our world. Otherwise we would be able to measure luck, just as we measure everything else that exists. Instead of luck, probability is the realistic, scientific term.

The probability of winning something can be calculated. Luck cannot.

But you could take advantage of people who think that they can summon luck, if you were a casino owner. Food for thought.
666  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is there still hope for the price of BTC to hit back $69k this year? on: November 16, 2023, 02:45:00 PM
I doubt it will happen this year. There is only one month left, after all.

Although it will happen. The next time will probably be on the way to 100k. So I do not recommend thinking that 69k will be the limit for next time. Bitcoin is no longer a low liquidity asset which can be toyed around by a few millionaires. The volatility is not as drastic as it used to be. But that also means it takes longer for the price to reach new heights. Sad
667  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Spot trading or future trading which trading is best for beginers? on: November 16, 2023, 06:32:07 AM
I would not recommend futures trading to anyone, whether beginner or veteran. It is never worth it because the liquidation spreads are impossible to dodge forever. And it only takes one liquidation event for your whole wallet to go to 0.

If you trade on spot then at least you can hodl any bad trades as long as you like. You only lose when you sell.

But the best advice I can give you is to train using imaginary coins first, instead of real money. For a beginner its a better option because you will probably lose your money otherwise.
668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How discipline are you in managing your bankroll? on: November 16, 2023, 06:27:33 AM
Recently, I've had some issues with bankroll management. Although I've been gambling for years, sometimes I feel the urge to get more action because I'm not satisfied with my winnings. It's as if there's no tomorrow, and seizing the moment seems like the best option. However, whenever I become undisciplined, it usually doesn't end well. My realization is that no matter how good you are at choosing the right bets, without discipline in bankroll management, you'll still end up losing.

Could you please share some of your honest experiences here and how you became a disciplined gambler, particularly in managing your bankroll? What factors do you consider to be satisfied and to stick with the game plan all the time?

I do not think that anyone here can call themselves truly disciplined. I think of myself as disciplined but I have my moments of weakness. But there are things that you can do to ensure you do not gamble your money away foolishly. Cold storage of the daily gambling funds by a family member or trusted friend could perhaps help you out, if you feel like you would not be able to resist by yourself.
669  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Avoid trading crypto in real person. You can see this now on Binance. on: November 16, 2023, 12:12:07 AM
This has just began on Binance and this is what will be happening on other exchanges.

We can see recently how robbers attacked bitcoin and other crypto users and this is becoming common. These are two recent ones:

Swedish Bitcoiners targeted by armed criminals
Binance Client Executives Kidnapped, Forced to Empty Crypto Wallet

You can now trade bitcoin and other crypto with other local traders on Binance and you will meet at a particular place that both of you talked about.

This is just not different from KYC if you trade with bad person. Avoid such physical trading.

The problem here is not that you should avoid trading crypto in real person but rather trade crypto in real in a place where you won't be dragged away against your will. Don't use your real name and don't give anyone info about yourself. Hire security if you have to.

AND

Do not flaunt your wealth. I cannot express how dumb a person would have to be to tell strangers about their millions of dollars worth of crypto. If someone threatens your life, then obviously chances are that you will give them your keys. So why give anyone the chance to know if you're worth stealing from?

I really don't get some people.
670  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Disadvantage of bitcoin on: November 15, 2023, 11:21:38 PM
Now my question is, do you think losing all of one’s coins simply because they didn’t have access to their wallet or key is already enough disadvantage for bitcoin against the local banks ?

No, banks are even worse. Ask Venezuelans how they are enjoying their banking crisis. Imagine not being able to withdraw money while the money in your account is losing value. Ha. Please. Either trust the government or trust yourself.

in the good old days. people worried about banks freezing/seizing peoples funds or bank runs, bankruptcies etc. where they wanted a new currency to get away from the risk of banks losing people funds

now it seems someone is wording things the opposite way to sound like bitcoin is not as good as banks

It's just the human mistake of favoring something you already know and are deeply familiar with, no matter even if the facts say the new thing is much better …

So yeah, banks are probably going to stay around for a while, I bet. Banks are not going out of business, as long as the older generation exists. Hopefully they will be a smart part of our world. I would rather see Bitcoin on top.

671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What percentage of bitcoin investors are gamblers ? on: November 15, 2023, 12:15:30 AM
What percentage of bitcoin investors are gamblers ?  Where will this figure be if we consider worldwide users ? I think it will be somewhere between 10-20% ? Also, it is possible that most of gamblers are still not bitcoin investors ? I see  less chances of the later happening.

I think there are many risk-takers among us Coiners. Otherwise we would be tremble over holding our fiat money, like the nocoiners peasants currently do. Tongue Roll Eyes

But in all seriousness, since we have so many risk takers here, they probably easily get into gambling without much marketing effort from the casinos side. If I was to guess a solid number, then probably around 30 % of us gamble, at the very least every now and then. You could perhaps derive the approximated number from the popularity of the gambling forum, but it is hard to tell, due to all the gambling spam from all the signature campaigns. They could be gambling fans posting, or just some people trying to make some money by posting. Who knows?
672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you want to play on casinos without KYC requirements? on: November 14, 2023, 05:34:20 PM
Why would you want to avoid being identified, if you gamble legally and if you are not a criminal? Let's discuss the reasons why KYC are not advantageous for the gamblers and casinos?
Privacy.

And also avoiding your personal data and government documents falling into the wrong hands. Any centralized exchange can be hacked, just like Poloniex demonstrated. And so can a DEX. But with a CEX, the problem is that they have files which could be used against you, for example identity theft, and after that comes much worse. I would not recommend it. Imagine waking up one day to discover you are a wanted felon in some foreign country and you owe people money because someone borrowed money with your ID. Really bad situation.

If you absolutely need to trade, use a good DEX.

Binance Client Executives Kidnapped, Forced to Empty Crypto Wallets — CZ Says Total Loss Was $12.5 Million

"Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) has shared a story of how executives of a Binance client were abducted and forced to empty their crypto wallets. CZ detailed how the cryptocurrency exchange was able to track the transactions and freeze over 94% of the stolen funds."

I just read this, what the hell is going on in this world? It's a dark place we all living in.  Cry

Source: https://news.bitcoin.com/binance-client-executives-kidnapped-forced-to-empty-crypto-wallets-cz-says-total-loss-was-12-5-million/

- Me personal think this is impossible to happen without inside work from Binance. What do you think? 😎

Good point by Franky1 and something to think about.
The thief/kidnapper obviously done research, found wealthy people, formed a relationship, invited them somewhere.. the victims know details of the perpetrator. im sure the thief is being chased if not already arrested

Regards BabyB. 👼

Hopefully, the thieves get caught.

It really makes you think about how easy it can be to steal Bitcoin, due to the fact that the thief never leaves any physical trail behind him. It's good that we can track the coins and find out who was behind them once they do something stupid, like link their identity to their wallet. And that happens even to the best of us. One wrong website visit with your real IP, and it is over. So really, compared to fiat, Bitcoin makes it both easier to steal and harder to not get caught. What a world we live in! Cheesy
674  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do Owners of betting companies bet? on: November 14, 2023, 03:54:52 PM
Do owners of betting companies place bet on their own platform or is there a policy specific policy that restricts them from betting. Do you think that there would be conflict of interest or that it will be unethical if owners bet on their own platforms. These are the questions that I am seeking an answer to.

Well, they should know better than to bet. Ironically, they probably know the dangers and consequences of gambling addictions better than anyone. But they are human just like me and you, so obviously they are going to bet, some more than others, but they all bet anyway.

They probably have much larger gambling funds than us, though  Grin

I see nothing wrong with gambling as long as you remain in control, assuming you are the kind of person who knows how to remain in control when gambling. Not everyone has that ability.
675  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blackjack game with side bets. on: November 14, 2023, 03:11:11 PM
Hi folks. I published Blackjack 21 game with side bets and detailed analyses.
I would be glad if you download and support. Thanks.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.yns.blackjack

What is the guarantee that this is not a malware you are telling us to download. Many have done this but it was obvious that nobody replied to their post of downloading it but was back-lashed for bringing such here and i hope you too you would not face any difficulty here for doing this. By  the way you did not make any clear illustration abut your app for a better understanding which could have helped for a better understanding and looking at the fact that your account is a new account, people would be scared of attempting to download due to their past experience.
100% correct, my rule is just do not click or download anything unless I know the person or site and everyone else should follow the same rule. There are those that might take a chance but hopefully they run a scan before doing anything.

Well it looks like the app is on the google play store. I doubt they would allow someone to use their platform as a malware distribution service. OP should have presented his app after gaining some initial trust in the community. Perhaps by sharing some content or something like that.

He seems not to notice that he is presenting the app in a sketchy way due to lack of information and lazy introduction, which to many people here is a red flag. But then again, we might have become over-paranoid of scammers in the last years. But then again, one can never be too careful. Better safe than sorry.
676  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hong Kong regulators might allow spot ETF on: November 14, 2023, 11:47:45 AM
@bittraffic. The argument is it is overhyped because the pump has occured before there was an approval and this might be something similar to a sell the news occurrence if it is approved.

However, agreed. Bitcoin will skyrocket later after approval when ETF issuers begin twapping hehehe.

Also, it appears Ethereum might also get a spot ETF.

BlackRock, one of the world’s biggest asset managers, officially filed its Spot Ethereum ETF with Nasdaq today. The company’s plan was revealed in a filing by the U.S. exchange where BlackRock will seek to list the product.

Source https://watcher.guru/news/blackrock-officially-files-spot-ethereum-etf-application

Unlike Bitcoin, Ethereum and its subsequent tokens have been considered many times to be unregistered securities in the past, by the SEC. So while I am quite enthusiastic about Bitcoin getting an ETF, I am not quite as sure about Ethereum. As far as I remember, Bitcoin has never been accused by the SEC of being an unregistered security. I think we need to see first, whether or not Bitcoin will get its own ETF in the United States soon. There still very much is the chance that the filing will be blockaded by pure bureaucracy or other ridiculous reasons. But it is coming, sooner or later, thats for sure.
677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Top 40 Twitch accounts for gambling advertising on: November 14, 2023, 09:27:04 AM
Honestly, I do not know any of those "Influencers" on your list, nor do I think it is a smart idea to listen to social media personalities when it comes to your money and income strategies.

When speaking of income, it is their main prerogative to sell something to you. Most of the time they are trying to sell referrals for sign ups.

They would even go as far as to build up a fake life by renting an expensive car and making it seem like they own it in the videos or pretending to have more money than they actually own.

Either way the viewer is meant to be tempted into buying something. In the case of gambling, such advertising could be very harmful to our mental and financial health.
678  Economy / Gambling / Re: Evolution — report for Q3 (HOW THEY EARN THAT MUCH?) on: November 13, 2023, 04:18:47 PM
~ But some casinos do sometimes take it too far and lower your odds of winning even more without giving you notice, but this will usually only happen to unregulated casinos which have their headquarters in some corrupt third world country. Luckily, with some DYOR, that can be easily avoided.

It's forbidden by regulators to do it. A company of the level of Evolution will certainly not lower your odds without a notice. There so many regulated casinos that I don't know why some people are still playing on unregulated ones. Is it the "profitable games" they are attracted to? Unbelievable bonuses? It's their own fault they are scammed then.

Well, unregulated casinos are unfair and sketchy. I cannot believe that they are allowed to do keep existing without any consequences... Is it perhaps a grey area of the law or is law enforcement just so bad/corrupt in that country that they simply refuse to do anything against someone running an obviously bad business practice?

But I agree, people who fall for fake advertisements and sketchy casinos are at fault. If they get scammed then that is what they were heading towards in the first place. It is very hard to have any kind of sympathy with people like that.
679  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do You Think Staking is the Perfect Passive Income Strategy in a Bull Market? on: November 13, 2023, 02:01:16 AM
No, Staking shitcoins holds the highest risks due to the volatile nature of the assets

Higher risks but also higher rewards. Unless its both high risk and low reward, but staking in something like that is up to the people who don't understand the concept of DYOR.

People really should do their own research instead of asking strangers for bad financial advice. Which coins will make you rich? Who knows. It could be a completely unknown coin that you happened to stake because you liked the team behind the project.

But if you want to be realistic about your staking, then you really should DYOR.
