1241  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Russia Becomes World’s Second-Largest Crypto Miner on: May 18, 2023, 10:34:35 PM
Great, now that Russia has become the second largest crypto miner in the world, the western countries and their allies will want to push down even harder on crypto with more regulational nonsense and sanctions. Not that they did not want to do exactly that in the first place, but now they have found an excellent reason to stay on their course with an even higher rate of speed. All the anti-coiners are going to have a field day with this news. I think that Kasachstan and countries around Russia should put in some more effort to take the top places. They have cheap electricity, so nothing is stopping them.

//Nocoiner nonsense
Yeah.  Let's see how that ends up going.

Don't be too much in a hurry to judge outcomes.. especially since you seem to not know shit about bitcoin, and hardly even willing to learn about it... for the past 8-9 years-ish...

Must suck for uie-pooie to be a no coiner in these here times, and then be spending your time in bitcoin forums trying to rationalize your dumbass mistakes of the past and your ongoing continued unwillingness to either learn or to act upon better information that is available.. namely dee cornz.

Nocoiners love performing amazing mental gymnastics to avoid the simple truth that Bitcoin reigns supreme Roll Eyes. Maybe he will smarten up and buy some corn at 100k

Countries in Africa be like : Fuck this retarded ass shit Bljatcoin and creates its own with Gold Backing. Commendable. Bravo !

Backed by a centralized asset? Lets hope nobody just... takes it.  Grin.

1243  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can copy trading be profitable on: May 18, 2023, 05:09:24 PM
Is copy trading worth it

Can I make 20$ per day if I have 2000$

Depends on who you are copying. If you are copying some amateur, you will lose your money more quickly than if you would simply risk trading by yourself. If you were to follow a famous trader who knows what he is doing, you might find yourself profiting quite nicely.  But personally, I would not trust anyone else with my trading. If you do not do your own research and do not follow your own strategies, then you are merely gambling your money by leaving it in the hands of someone else.

Learn trading first, learn how to do your research, make your own strategies. Don't be lazy. Especially when it comes to your finances.

1244  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥BitKong.com🔥⭐Updated Game V2⭐New Bonuses⭐New Currencies⭐Native Android APP⭐ on: May 18, 2023, 04:49:28 PM
Hey Bitkong.com, you might want to update your opening post because the image is not showing. If you uploaded to Imgur then that would explain the problem. Imgur is kind of anti-Bitcointalk right now so it would be a much better idea to upload your images to somewhere else. The house-own solution would be talkimg.com.

Now that I look through the entire topic, I see most of your images have been rejected. As I said, talkimg is a perfect solution.

Anyway, I thought I should try your casino out and give my luck a go. Haven't played on Bitkong yet and surprisingly enough, even though many people here say that you have been around for a long time, its my first time hearing of you.

Hope you stick around!
1245  Economy / Economics / Re: Financial education or 1million dollars on: May 17, 2023, 07:29:47 PM
Financial education has always been a game changer in the financial state of a man, it is the best education a father can give to his children because once you are financially educated, it's near impossible not to be financially stable.

Have you wonder why most lottery winners have gone back to square one after winning or most rich kids losing their inheritance due to poor/bad management of funds, it's because they lack financial education.

On the other hand 1million dollars is truly a life changing amount of money but if you are not financially educated, you will lose it all on  the long run,
I don't know if anyone sees it the same way I do?

Well, if you give an imbecile 1 million dollars, you cannot really expect him to use it as a jumping board into higher riches, can you? He will simply see it as a coupon for material wealth, and he will spend it on a car, a house, jewelry, expensive clothes and so on... Of course it will not last him for a long time because he does not have the long term mindset in the first place.

You do not have to be financially educated to know that you can make more money by investing your current money into the right places. You do not even need to do any research. Just take a look at the top 10 stocks and invest in those. Personally, I would put it most of it into Bitcoin. But to each his own. Tongue
1246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2.4% People from Bangladesh Hold Cryptocurrency on: May 17, 2023, 06:37:25 PM
Well, seeing as that Bangladesh has already explicitly banned Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, I cannot see how anyone could accurately estimate the amount of Bangladesh people who own any kind of crypto. So the question is not only how did they figure out 2.4% as an estimate of holders but also could this number not be completely wrong due to the fact that many remain in the shadows and would rather keep their holdings a secret?

I think the number is grossly underestimated. A lot more people in Bangladesh are probably holding crypto...
1247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: A long term investor here, thinking about adding RoLLBit Token on: May 17, 2023, 02:27:28 PM
investing in casino token is something very risky,
I agree with your assessment I have invested in two Casino based tokens but dump the other one and only retail the first one, if you're going to buy a token-based casino you should check their standing here in the gambling community, if they are popular or supported the gambling community, do they have unsettled accusation and are they active in resolving issues.
I based these criteria to dump Owl token because they lock their thread and they prefer to ignore members who ask them to communicate with the community, so far Rollbit is doing good here in Bitcointalk but do check the risk and the benefits and see if the benefits outweigh the risks.

I think that there is an entire world of difference between investing in a long standing and reputable casino and investing in a new casino which has not proven itself yet. Obviously the latter is riskier and should be avoided. But if you were to look at the investment opportunities from a relative point of view, you would see that investing in any business is risky. However, casinos tend to be very profitable and how I see it, a less risky investment than some other business model. Just because of how successful a lot of casinos become compared to how successful other businesses tend to be..

I think it is strange that owl is pulling back on their PR marketing but to each its own, I guess.
1248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't gamble if you don't have patience on: May 17, 2023, 01:43:45 PM
This happened to me already twice in a row. I'm gambling for a long time but this is the first time I experience this kind of messy situation because it involves the fck up mempool.

I deposit my funds in a casino using a low-priority fee. I managed to triple my bankroll by playing a quick game of Blackjack with huge bets. But since my deposit is so frickin slow to confirm while I don't want to bump my fee since it will create a different transaction on my account. Due to my winning streak while still waiting for many hours, I decided to just play slowly using a 1$ bet. This 1$ bet grows to all-in because I just keep losing for an insane lose streak just because I can't withdraw my funds.

Sharing my personal experience of my recent losses so that no one will commit this same mistake. Bet responsibly. I will stay away from gambling for a while now that mempool is starting to suck once again.

DON'T GAMBLE IF THE INSTANT WITHDRAWAL IS NOT AVAILABLE!

At some point you really need to realize that if you do not have any kind of self control or discipline, then maybe you should not be gambling at all. In your case, it has nothing to do with the casino but rather the low priority fee withdrawal. But, I mean obviously casinos are going to try to find ways to use your impatience against you. So why not recognize that, and instead of continuing to gamble, you can just walk away from your computer and go for a nice walk or something? Distract yourself with something which has absolutely nothing to do with gambling. Instant withdrawal and low priority fees do not mix well together. Either you want an instant withdrawal or you want to pay almost nothing to withdraw.
1249  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling is a choice. on: May 16, 2023, 06:50:53 PM
Something happened in my locality and I just wonder if that's how we also behave in the online space.

So, they're always a group of rougues in my country, they're often sited in the market place where there's a reasonable population, what's their work???

The have things in a martch box like stones and sticks, they'll ask you to pick the one out of it that has something, depending on what the want....

At first, when you pick, they'll let you win so as to drag your attention, then subsequent wins, you'll be at the losing side and the make sure the drain your pockets entirely.

So, just last week, this lady fell a victim and she was shouting and crying, the had obviously emptied her pocket and even gotten her phone from her in the process of the gambling.

My thoughts, is this how we often feel when we lose out on a bet??
Do you wish the site can refund your money??

Gambling should be your choice, you shouldn't let anyone compel or persuade you into it.

I think you might be confusing a scam with actual gambling. If, as you say, the bet was decided for you, then that a scam. Nobody should be able to manipulate the outcome of a bet in order to steal someone's money. But if the bet was fair and the only reason for winning/losing is pure luck, then thats fair. Even if you lose all your money in the end. If the lady in your story kept winning out of luck, she should have known it better to stop before she ruins her winnings. She kept going and eventually, she lost it all.

She did not control herself or her emotions and that lack of discipline was her undoing. Of course we all wish that we could get our money back if we lose, but then that would not be called gambling, would it? Would you also be willing to give back your winnings, if you win?
1250  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The World's First Kids Cartoon about Bitcoin on: May 16, 2023, 01:16:44 PM
This will definitely help the new generation bring the adoption of Bitcoin into the future. Although I think that altcoins and scammers would be a perfect arch nemesis of Bitcoin and could easily be made the villain. I have had to go on youtube and search for tuttle twins to take a look at the cartoon in the first place. The website itself is demanding you first tell them your email address before you are allowed to view it. Which is very uncomfortable and sketchy. They should remove that.

Unfortunately, as much as I like the idea of a cartoon, after taking a first look, I have to say the cartoon animation, storyline, voice actors, effects and so on are extremely low production value and I doubt any child will be very interested in watching for more than 2 minutes.
1251  Economy / Speculation / Re: Leak Reveals Secret Democratic Plan For A Game-Changing U.S. Crypto Crackdown on: May 15, 2023, 10:22:21 PM
I agree with the above. It's more likely they're targeting non-compliant exchanges and shitcoin pushing companies.
Even the memo said that they want to classify almost all cryptocurrencies as securities, because, guess what, that's what they are!

Of course they are. And that will all be for the better.

We have had enough troubles with scammers and bad actors in the world of centralized exchanges. People cannot be trusted and therefore need to be controlled. Regulated.

Bitcoin has no use for trust and nobody needs to worry about a single bad actor ruining it for all of us. Because that simply cannot happen. And I think that is absolutely beautiful and exactly how money should be.

scamcoins and scamming exchanges on the other hand... I think we have had more than enough of those and history will not look too kindly upon them. The ones who got duped will be the ones who serve as an example. Cruel as that sounds.

Yes.. "we" should follow ur strategy, no?

this is reality.

I prefer to look like this whenever I want and in fact...

*yes, I've done this...long before the movie

I think this is how WO'ers all look like. We don't need to wear suits, or top fashion clothes to prove something.. Because we have already won.
1253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some needed features of an online casino. on: May 15, 2023, 05:17:54 PM
I like the fact that OP created a topic on his own ideas of how to reduce the harm of gambling and to prevent addiction, however I would have to say that OP might be a bit naive in his assumption that these kinds of things are actually what casino owners want. Sure the owners say that they want to help prevent people from becoming gambling addicts who gamble all their lives and lose all their money in mere minutes but the truth is that casinos are for-profit businesses who would not install any measures which could potentially reduce their profit. At least not without being forced by the law to do so.

If you want to make a change you need to plead to the regulators and lawmakers. Otherwise things just stay how they are...

1254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BEST TIMEZONE FOR SPORTsBETTING on: May 15, 2023, 03:21:36 PM
I think the entire debate about the best timezone for sports betting is not really worth talking about in detail. The events are scheduled and it does not really matter what timezone you decide to place your bets in. If anything the only reason for choosing timezones for sports betting is out of some superstitious belief that it will somehow influence the outcome of your bet or make you luckier/unluckier. Seems a bit strange to me, but people become superstitious over any tiny little thing. There are such naive people in the world... Roll Eyes

Bet whenever you like. The best time to bet is when you have done your research and you have a clear head.
1255  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 14, 2023, 01:05:05 PM
I don't know if anyone has seen the fees recently but they are back down to low double digits. Why? Because high fees are not currently sustainable, too small a market. No intervention is required on the fee front for probably decades, if ever, the free market will sort it via good old supply and demand. The solution to high fees is high fees.

Its back to around 5 bucks. Price is going to shoot up once the normies realize the panic is over.
1256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: who Want To Bet On 2024 USA elections? on: May 14, 2023, 11:20:28 AM

I doubt people will still reelect Biden after all the things he did in this first term. He'd be 90+ afaik, as he will just be sitting in the wheelchair by then. We have seen him fell many times as he climbs up the plane stairs. Trump will win. There is no other candidate who can make the US work together than Trump. Even Elon tweeted Trump will win this time around.

Well I would not be too sure about him not being voted in just because of his age. He was already an old man when he got voted in the first time. Why would that mean it cannot happen a second time? Trumps reelection is a bit unstable because he would try to undo everything Biden has done in relation to the war of Russia and Ukraine. Most people might see that as "being in too deep" to turn around and walk back.

Elon has been tweeting nothing but idiocy, so I would not take his tweets seriously. Obviously not as a standard of measurement.
1257  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you favor betting on spesific sport? on: May 13, 2023, 04:21:28 PM
I am just curious to know why people favor one Sport over another, when it comes to betting? Is there specific Sport that increase your win chance or do you bet on those Sport for other reasons?

I know most people will favor certain Sport, because they know more about the players or the teams and information is power, when it comes to betting... but some Sport are 50/50 when it comes to the outcome of the match. (One lucky punch or kick can make a underdog a champion)

Please share your thoughts...  Tongue

Personally I just like some sports better than others and that is my entire reason for betting on that sport instead of some other sport, that I do not like.

I think its just that some people feel more connected to one sport than another. A football fan is not really going to care about women's basketball, no matter how good or how much better the odds are. It just does not feel right, you know?

Also I think it may make people more nervous, betting on sports to which they do not know the rules or whose players they are not familiar with.

If gambling was only about the best odds, then people would just play dice all the time.
1258  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bingx Copytrading on: May 12, 2023, 06:54:05 PM
Hi, I am following only one trader on Bingx and I have set as margin $161 so that each position that is opened for me is $161 and only opened automatically one position with a margin of $40 (the trader opened two positions and I only opened one position).

Is there any way to open the position with the amount I specify or does bingx somehow limit that amount?

The Bitcoin trading discussion board will have people who are more competent and knowledgeable when it comes to trading. I am sure they can answer your Bitcoin trading questions and tell you about the best trading practices. So, you might want to move your post there instead: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=8.0

Also, I have never heard of Bingx but I would strongly advise against copy trading. It never ends well. You should trade only after doing your own research.

1259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can NFTs last forever? on: May 12, 2023, 06:45:05 PM
All of the NFTs you know and love today, have their data stored their on centralized servers (images, video, etc). What is only stored on the Blockchain is just the properties of the NFT itself. While you're basically the "owner" of the NFT, you could lose technically lose it if the centralized server hosting the content of the NFT goes down.

So, what's the point of investing in NFTs if they can disappear in an instant? Unless all of the content is stored on the Blockchain itself, I don't see how NFTs will be able to last forever. Are there already solutions in the works that I'm not aware of? Please enlighten me on this. Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley

NFT's would only make sense if the law, specifically the copyright laws included NFT's to be seen as legitimate ownership contracts. But no law in the world is enforcing or admitting the rights of NFT-owners to be owners of the actual artwork behind the NFT. So there is absolutely no point in owning an NFT other than to flaunt the fact that you threw your money away for something which has no value and only an inherent rarity as the standard of speculational value.

For some reason there exist just enough idiots in the world to still buy NFTs. Which may raise the question of if they will last forever. I hope not but maybe yes.

So how's everyone enjoying "Sell in May and go away" so far?

Fun fun, amiright?

What? I thought it was "Buy in May and stay".

I was wondering why Bitcoin was having a sale. Oh well, more for me.
