1181  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 06, 2023, 12:10:33 AM
Yeah.. you could be right..

At the same time, I am not really worried that you (goldkingcoiner) are not sufficiently/adequately prepared for UP (even while you are seemingly preparing for the possibility of down)...

Some of us have been in this space long enough that it is relatively clear that we have figured out a variety of ways to prepare for both up and down at the same time, no matter how cognitively dissonant that might sound to the gamblers who like to bet bigger than they should (such as 80x.... just using that as a reference).

Since you likely already realize that the lillie fiend market does not always go down on "bad news" merely because a lot of folks (even if the overwhelming majority) are speculating that it will go down.

Good point.
But, I am gambling virtual profits from buying later instead of now. Sure, Bitcoin could go up. I would lose out on a bit of coin. But past history has show that during corrections, FUD has an amplifying effect on the price dip. This is just short term speculation. Worst case scenario, price goes up instead of going down. I stop limit at 1/3rd of the Binance FUD candle. Still not bad. Either way I make more coins from the FUD because the Bitcoin is undervalued by pure speculation (how long does that last?). Thats how I see it, at least...

Who would ever go 80x, I wonder? Roll Eyes

1182  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 05, 2023, 09:47:57 PM
From my experience, there will be more panic selling from the FUD incoming. Of course it's all market manipulation, but knowing that fact means that buying now is a good chance for a decent PnL. I think we will bounce back, as we always do after FUD.

I am planning on buying the dip at 24k Cheesy

1183  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 05, 2023, 06:47:09 PM
I've been waiting for Binance to be targeted as soon as the FTX situation blew up and regulators realized that Binance did the exact same thing as FTX, but they were able to survive a cycle doing so and became insanely wealthy as a result.  Looks like now that regulators have caught on, they are going to be looking to take a piece of flesh from CZ.  This is in no way a positive development for Bitcoin in the short term, and we're already seeing the start of the pain, but long term I think if we want to see Bitcoin hit the high 6 figures, it is absolutely necessary to weed out the bad actors in the space, and Binance is just FTX with a first mover advantage.

Who is a good actor among exchanges?
Some say that they are, but they got NO volume, like Gemini.
Congress needs to pass some laws pronto or, else, american exchanges can be shut down and US would lose whatever they did not lose yet (in this space).

Every exchange is a good actor waiting to become a bad actor. No matter how trustworthy, the problem lies with the fact that you still have to trust them. This goes against what Bitcoin stands for.
1184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: European Sex Championship 😳, Will you Bet? on: June 05, 2023, 05:14:31 PM
Sweden has declared sex as a sport, and is set to launch its first tournament tagged "European sex Championship" on the 8th day of June, 2023, this means it's about 4 days left until the tournament begin?

We all can read the details on - https://m.timesofindia.com/life-style/relationships/love-sex/in-sweden-sex-is-now-a-sport-first-european-sex-championship-to-be-held-soon/amp_articleshow/100720445.cms

You as a gambler..
1. What do you make of this?, is sex truly a sport and is it supposed to be carried out openly?
2. If casinos pick this up and make provisions available to users to bet on this supposed European sex Championship, would you bet?

Lets have some serious and healthy discussion here..

Honestly, I doubt this is real. Maybe it is just a prank. When you click on the article, it sends you to an different article which has nothing to do with the European Sex Championship.

I do not think that there is any merit in introducing something like sex into sports. Especially in combination with gambling. What kind of a signal does that send to the younger generations?

But if it is real:

I would bet on myself. But first I need to know how to enter this sport and I pledge that I will take this new sport very seriously.  Grin

Seriously though, I never thought the day would cum that we could bet on porn. But now that I think about it, there are various ways to bet on porn. Who can make the partner orgasm first or who can go longer.

The future is so exciting  Roll Eyes Tongue Grin

Also, OP, why does your url end with ".cms"?
1185  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: $90,000 all in bet on: June 05, 2023, 04:28:42 PM
OP, I am glad and disappointed that you both won 90k and lost it. As far as gambling goes, I think it suffices to say that you managed to entertain everyone here with your lack of planning and risk-management skills. If you ever make winnings, be sure to take some of that money and put it in the "do not touch" pile. You could have at least secured half your winnings. All in bets are never worth it. I hope you have learned something from your mistake.

For everyone else, I guess this thread serves as a decent learning moment. Grin
1186  Economy / Speculation / Re: Automated posting on: June 05, 2023, 04:11:06 PM

I'm sorry, I just had to laugh at this pic and sorry for quoting it and taking up space.  That clock-staring cat could have been me over the years.  I don't know how many times I've posted "bitcoin will take 25 years to get to $X, and if it does we'll probably be in a zombie apocalypse".  And then way, waaaay before I knew it bitcoin would surge past $X and then higher and higher to new dollar amounts that I'd never have predicted.

Thinking back on what could have been makes my skin crawl.

What the hell is this thread about?  I only stumbled upon it doing post reviews.  Lol.

This is the heart of Bitcointalk. We come here to shitpost while hodling our coins. It helps (as a distraction). Welcome!

Damn it. Something's happening in WO... Too quiet. No heated debates, no rusty pipes, no Batslaps, no Dude's resto/pissing pics, no proudhon posts, r0ach probably died or abandoned us, nullius fell in love with a Greek goddess and won't post anymore, Elwar's seastead sank and he abandoned ship... Hell, not even a post about Bob's ranch or Jimbo's lake projects. Have we really stooped so low?

Price drives everything it seems... Come on, Bitcoin, do something (like a mega-pump to ATH+)... We need some Carolinas and Choo-Choos to get things going!

Edit: No more lasers for me. Laser hat gets worn again when we reach 6 digits.

Its reported JayjuanGee keyboard its broken, so he cant make his walltext.

Only important "new" on this day was the Tether project to build a bitcoin mining farm on Uruguay with renewables energy.

Note of that

He has evolved beyond the need for keyboard input. Do not underestimate him.

Also, in regards to important news, Binance is being bent over by the SEC. This would explain the panic dump of 5%. Or as I like to call it, the fire sale.

source: https://www.coindesk.com/policy/2023/06/05/sec-sues-crypto-exchange-binance-ceo-changpeng-zhao/

Binance is already being sued by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission as well.
1187  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't Force Your Children to Learn Bitcoin on: June 05, 2023, 02:27:33 PM
Teaching children on bitcoin is like the latest threads in the forum. It is good to tell our children about bitcoin in their tender ages but destiny is not something you force someone to achieve. Just like the general saying that "You can take a horse to the river but you cannot force it to drink the water". That's, it is good to tell your children about bitcoin but you cannot force him or her to learn bitcoin if it is not in the mind of the child and if that is not the child's calling in life.

Just like another instant again, it is a Ghanaian Play called "Sons and Daughters by Joe De Graft". The father wanted his daughter to study law while the some for medicine but the boy wanted to study Fine and Applied Arts while the girl wanted to study Theatre Arts but the father refused. There was a day the boy's friend drew Ghanaian President and the picture was bought with a very big amounts of money which was about millions and it was broadcasted on National TV and Radio Stations and the father heard about the news and he called his children and advised them to study what they like.

I think that play is a very big lesson to everyone in the contemporary world. So if your children are not interested to learn bitcoin please don't force them. Everyone has their own destiny.

I too have been seeing such unlikeable threads being created all over the board recently. Why would anyone want to push propaganda towards children? Its not like they have money to invest into Bitcoin with. The ones who should be learning about Bitcoin are the young adults and obviously, the parents. The children will learn about it sooner or later, but just as I said in the other thread, I think the best thing the parents can do is buy some BTC for their children, so when they grow up they will have something to work with. And judging by how the Bitcoin adoption has been going, I would say the children will have a small fortune...
1188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The effect of Bitcoin on children on: June 04, 2023, 11:16:40 PM
I am sharing a real story. Last 31st I went to my cousin's wedding. The area where I want to host the wedding is like a village where I don't have good mobile network, so it won't be wrong to call such an area as a remote area. After eating and drinking, me and one of my cousins went out for a walk and saw three boys drawing something in the mud. I approached them with interest and watched them make the Bitcoin logo in the mud and compete to see who could make the logo more beautiful. So I asked about this logo and one boy said that his parents have this bitcoin and his father taught him to draw this logo and he taught his friends. I was very happy to hear this from the boy because in such a village where there is no good mobile network people are involved with Bitcoin.

In this case of the boy, I remembered one thing that the children will be developed in the same way as the parents raise their children from childhood. The boy's father may want to expose his son to Bitcoin from an early age.

That is an interesting story but as to the question of the effect that Bitcoin has on children, I would say the same effect as with regular money. I doubt many kids will be able to understand how Bitcoin works and even if they did, their parents would have to give them money. Unless they are old enough to work and earn their own money. Adolescents should learn about Bitcoin though. They need to be prepared for the future. Although they should be supervised so they do not accidently lose all their money.

What parents could do is buy Bitcoin on their children's behalf and leave them with a fortune. You would even enjoy much of the fortune yourself, while they are growing up and Bitcoin goes up and up. Win win.
1189  Economy / Gambling / Re: BCGame Affiliate Program Issues on: June 02, 2023, 09:20:48 PM
I have been on bc.game since a couple of years.
I have a successful affiliate campaign on there with over 40k+ commission made. But recently they decreased my affiliate percentage from 35% to 9.8% without any prior discussion or intimation.

I offer 10% to my referrals on their wager as a bonus to encourage them to use my link. Now that my affiliate % has been cut down to under 10% I virtually made 0 money on the last 4 million wagered under me as I still paid my referrals their 10%.
It's insane how BCGame threw me under the bus like this without any discussion with me.

I think this is part of their cost cutting campaign which began with them removing rakeback completely from the site followed by now slashing affiliate percentages. I tried reaching out to BCGame staff in so many ways but to zero success.

I don't know if there's any legal or ethical grounds I can pursue here, but if anyone knows please let me know.

With every dollar being wagered on my referral now, I'm losing money.

You are operating on their terms and conditions. I am sure that you read through it? It's their casino, they can change whatever into whatever they like. You do not have a referral contract with them? Thats your own fault. Although if you are making a lot of money as one of their best referrers, then I am sure they would be happy to negotiate special terms. You should just reach out and ask them yourself, instead of whining about it in the gambling forum.

Seriously, what kind of a business man/woman are you? Roll Eyes
1190  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you use a VPN on a casino, even if it is not allowed in their ToS? on: June 02, 2023, 04:01:55 PM
I know this is a bit controversial, but some casinos are looking the other way... when people are using VPNs. I know it might be legal in some instances, but you are still taking a risk by using it.

Online gambling is legal in my country, but sometimes I have to travel to a country where it is illegal. I then use a VPN to be able to access the site. This is one of the reasons why some casinos allow people to use VPNs..... but you are still taking a huge risk.

Now, the question is.... Will you still use a VPN, if it is not allowed by the ToS on the site. What will you do if they "block" your account and take your balance?

Well, as far as taking your balance goes, I think they have to return to you all your deposited funds but they can take the winnings back. I am not sure about the laws regarding this situation. But they can definitely freeze your account for breaking their terms and conditions. That is for sure.

I would rather not use a VPN, if it is stated to not be allowed in their ToS. I wish to keep my winnings, of course.

Why would anyone who lives in a country in which gambling is legal wish to use a VPN in the first place? You already had to give the casino your KYC details, so they know who you are...
1191  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it a mistake to make a separate Bitcoin channel on YouTube? on: June 02, 2023, 03:51:45 PM
I took note of all the various comments in my recent threads, and many thanks for those. I'm planning my YouTube channel at the moment, and it seems to me that a dedicated Bitcoin channel is not a good idea. I very rarely watch them any more, as they seem to be contradictory, and often over complex, and many of them seem to show a lack of understanding of the purpose and technology behind Bitcoin. There seem to be 3 main categories of Bitcoiners ( apart from undecided newbies of course), and these are speculators, businesses and weath protectors. I don't want to target the speculators, as those are either gamblers or highly technical statisticians. My advice to business users is to embrace Bitcoin as an efficient means of international payment, but they may be advised to sell their Bitcoin receipts to avoid losses as a result of its volatility. My target audience is van dwellers, and others living offgrid, and who are considering Bitcoin as a form of saving and wealth protection.

So, should I accept that Bitcoin has now become an established medium of exchange and savings, and just include videos about it in a general offgrid camper channel?  The alternative would be to create a dedicated Bitcoin channel, and thus have to compete with all the established Bitcoin channels. I've also got a problem with the new GA4 Google analytics. Should I include my Bitcoin websites in my Offgrid Camper property, or, again, would it be better to have a financial property for Bitcoin? My preference is to keep things simple, and include bitcoin in the broader social channel in both instances.

I would disagree with you on the Youtube channel.

Since you know what the problem areas of current common dedicated Bitcoin channels are, you can find solutions for those problems and implement them on your channel. I think you will find a niche in which the community itself will become a strong marketing tool for your brand. And by the way, you seem to have done your research on this topic quite extensively, so I am sure that your audience would rather watch your channel than the channel of just another so-called speculator, who has no love for such details.

After Youtube, you can find a larger audience by other means, such as those you have mentioned.

Hello, just won some money and they do not wanna to withdraw it for 2days.
I made KYC and sent some AML documents what they asked. I think i still in minus on DuelBits, but they just wanna steal my money, clowns.
There is no INSTANT withdrawals. No any good support. Just scam.
do not ask about amount and etc. i playing a lot on stake&rollbit and they do better service then this "clowns"
kindly asking do not play there, better go on rollbit/stake.

It sometimes takes them a longer time to review your KYC documents. Personally, I think they are hoping to catch you in violation of the terms and conditions. Or perhaps your account has some suspicious activity, like using a VPN. Anyway, some reviews take longer than other. That does not necessarily mean that the gambling casino is trying to steal from you or trick you somehow.  As long as you keep to the terms and conditions of their website, they will have to give you your money back, sooner or later. Lets hope you get your answer soon.
1193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: There are a lot of scams on Twitter, and illegal links steal your assets. on: June 02, 2023, 02:46:20 AM
A few days ago, I saw a KOL with a large number of fans on Twitter. He was recommending a project recommended by many KOLs. As long as he followed his guidelines, he could get more airdrop tokens. As a result, when I clicked on the link, connect When my little fox wallet is signed and confirmed, my assets will be reset to zero. I checked the data on the chain, and in a short period of time, he actually defrauded more than 20,000 US dollars in digital currency, which is terrible.
This is the case during the era of Elon Musk because there is no oversight of scammers to prevent them or legalize their backs. Suppose you see an account for a legit project that you follow. In that case, you will find thousands of fake accounts that impersonate the name of this project’s account and its logo, put the blue check mark, and publish illegal links to similar scam domains for the official project domain. Now, scammers take advantage of any popular trend on Twitter related to a currency or a specific project. They quickly put popular hashtags in their tweets and publish malicious links to trap victims, so Twitter has become a suitable space for scams. Their tweets are promoted in these trends like wildfire. Thousands of people lost their funds because of one mistake: not focusing before opening the link, connecting the main wallet, and giving approval of permissions to their wallet for this scam domain.

Trust nobody.

If you were to ask me, I would call Elon Musk one of the worst KOL since Steve Jobs. He promotes pump and dump coins like DOGE and as he is invested in DOGE, he is effectively market manipulating at this point, is he not?  How can you trust someone like that? What is the probability that his half baked hypes like exploding rockets and electrical cars, which catch fire for no reason. I have never really understood why anyone with a brain would support Elon Musk. All he has been doing on social media is stroking his own giant ego.
1194  Economy / Economics / Re: Will chatgpt really destroy the job market? on: June 02, 2023, 02:37:37 AM
Since ChatGPT was launched in November last year, this AI technology has created a huge response across the globe.  This technology has gained so much popularity that people are using this technology in almost every field. Any math can be easily solved through this technology, any unknown matter can be easily known through this technology, so there is a lot of doubt in everyone's mind about this technology that this technology will destroy the job market or not?

When asked about this, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said the technology will never destroy the job market. Rather, this technology will solve things that people never know about.  Since all tasks can be solved easily through this technology, this bot system may be used instead of humans in various work fields.
If this technology is used in the workplace, many people will lose their jobs.

ChatGPT is a glorified LMGTFY 2.0 toy which will NOT replace anyone or their jobs. You are all safe. People are getting too excited about machine learning, despite the fact that we do not really understand how the human brain fully works, how can we already assume that we have created something superior to us and it will soon take over humanity or worse even, kill all of humanity?

It will change the job market and people will have to adapt. But people have been doing that throughout history. No need to panic.

1195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: June 01, 2023, 09:10:24 PM
If a gambler spends a lot of time in a casino, it would be hard for him not to dream of winning. After all, he has already put a lot of money and emotion into the games. Stopping dreaming about luck and big money is a difficult task, but doable. The gambler needs to have the patience and tenacity to stop building dreams around gambling.

Of course, this advice is correct, but what makes a player play? What drives him? The desire to get as much andrenaline as possible. So how do you keep the excitement in check? It is very difficult. The main thing - do not give the player the opportunity to take a big credit, otherwise, when sobering up, the situation may already be irreparable

Not to mention the fact that everytime a person gambles and wins, their brain gets a dopamine buzz. Dopamine overstimulation of the brains dopamine receptors is what causes addiction. Everytime you win, you feel a rush because you brain now associates the act of gambling with a reward itself. This is why its so important to self discipline yourself and also make a strategy/plan. Make sure you know what you are doing and also limit yourself in how much money you will spend in a certain amount of time. As long as you come prepared into a casino, you will not necessarily fall into the gambling addiction trap.
1196  Economy / Gambling / Re: Are betting companies using T&C against their customers on: June 01, 2023, 05:41:25 PM
It is already becoming  increasingly worrisome, maybe not to everyone but personally to me at the rate at which betting companies are using terms and conditions  against their customers and there a recent case with the link below
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5454460.msg62324285#msg62324285
Most times i think since most users don't take out time to read the terms and conditions of platform before jumping on it, most betting companies  steal money from their customers with claims that they broke their terms and conditions and the case with the link above annoyed me so much because I felt the support term wasn't helpful enough as I was expecting  them to point out the T&C that was broken to the player rather than just lock his account and seize his money.

Now I wish to know if these companies  play on the weakness of their customers using T&C to rob them and has anyone else experienced  this ?

Terms and Conditions are legal requirements as well as what must be stated in them. I do not think that the betting companies/Casinos are trying to dupe us over with a piece of writing which was imposed on them by the regulatory branch of the government. I am not going to say that they would not try to leech our money out of us in any way possible, no matter how questionable the intentions are.

But business is business. Don't hate the player, hate the game.
1197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance to delist these 12 privacy coins in these eu countries from June 26 on: June 01, 2023, 03:27:17 PM
There are other, decentralized ways to trade XMR. The delisting will not work. Perhaps on the smaller, unpopular and copycat privacy coins. But really? No need to worry. This is going to push crypto more towards full decentralization and self-autonomy. This is a good thing. At some point, when Bitcoin has become fully adopted by people of all places, Blockchain will be considered the third generation of money technology. And the government will have no say but rather just have to sit and watch its people drop banks and third partys who made their profits from exploiting fiat's weaknesses. Fiat is a centralized piece of paper which supposedly stores value, even though it is not backed by anything of value(gold) anymore and they can keep printing as many strips of paper as they want. 1198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 5 Behavioural signs that suggest you are Addicted to Gambling on: June 01, 2023, 03:50:04 AM
I was browsing on the internet and stumble upon this article and found out that there are three kinds of gamblers. They are Professional gamblres, social gamblers and problem gamblers. The first two are okay but the third one which is the problem gamblers are the ones who are struggling with this addiction.

So I asked myself what behaviour would suggest that an individual is a problem gambler. Did some research and found many behaviour that suggest an individual is struggling with gambling addiction. Out of those I found the following five behaviours to be most common ones in a problem gambler.

  • Preoccupation with gambling.
  • The urge to increase wagers to achieve the same level of excitement.
  • Having difficulty in controlling, cutting back, or stopping gambling despite several attempts.
  • Lying about gambling activities.
  • Borrowing money to gamble.

As gambling addiction can be a challenging issue that can have a very harmful impact on an individual's life. it is always recommended to find a professional helpb rather struggling with it. Do you agree with those behaviours? If not then you can suggest some, that can be added to this topic.

Borrowing money and preoccupation with gambling are the top two red flags.

I also heard that gambling addiction could show itself as a manifestation of anxiety and irritation. So if the person jumps down your throat every time you say anything to them, then that could mean that person has an addiction. Although many addictions have the same physical symptoms, so judging people only by their behavior might be a mistake and could end up in you misjudging people.
1199  Economy / Economics / Re: Dedollarization is here, like it or not on: June 01, 2023, 12:14:20 AM
The main effect this is having on the world is the further adoption of Bitcoin. Once people understand that their USD is becoming worthless, they will trade it in for Bitcoin. Time and time again, Bitcoin has proven itself as an amazing hedge against all kinds of inflation. Whether by nature manipulated or not.

I see this as an amazing opportunity. Anyone who is investing into Bitcoin now is going to wish they bought even more.

Once the whole CBDC timeline flops, as it will, because it goes against everything Blockchain stands for, then and only then will people start understanding how important a decentralized and unregulatable store of value actually is, in reality.

This is the best time for Hodlers.
1200  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not a steady income haven on: May 31, 2023, 10:48:44 PM
That's if you are not even addicted to gambling already, a addicted gambler always have one goal in mind, '( I have to make back all I have lost ), this is where the beginning of the end begins.

The entire premise of making a regular, steady income from gambling is complete nonsense. It is mathematically impossible to do that. The house edge always wins and there is no point in arguing such a fact. Of course anyone could become a millionaire overnight but how often does that happen?

Gambling is only a problem if you let yourself become addicted. There are many ways to avoid getting addicted, all you have to do is self-discipline yourself and make a strategy. If you say only an x amount of money should be gambled per day, then do not go above your limits and know when to quit.

If you gamble without a plan, all you are doing is setting yourself up for emotional accidents.
