1401  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Josh Taylor vs Teofimo Lopez on: April 05, 2023, 01:05:21 PM
I would not say that Josh Taylor will definitely be the top contender for me in this match because Teofimo Lopez seems to have the upper hand in physical health. The extent of Josh Taylor's plantar fascia injury to the arch of his foot is being kept "undisclosed". The severity of the tear makes me doubt he will be able to keep on his feet as in the past. Especially because they refuse to talk about how bad the injury really was. Pain management alone will not be sufficient to keep up with Lopez's footwork. So far I see a red flag in betting on Taylor, which I would do if he was in top-fit-condition...

1402  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I'm looking for your project for an ICO portal. No costs. on: April 05, 2023, 12:55:17 AM
I am looking for new ICO projects to enter them in my ICO portal.

A booking of the advertising space mentioned in the other Treath is not necessary. There is no connection. The entry is free of charge. The advertising optional.

Why are you looking for an ico? because you will enter them in your ico portal? all I know is https://icodrops.com/, https://cryptototem.com/ico-list/ , and https://www.icohotlist.com

I'm not sure if what I gave you is correct and if I answered your question too, good luck to you in whatever you plan to do,
and I hope it will also help here in the crypto space community.

I think he means he wants to create a platform which is different from a ico rating site and therefore is looking for first volunteers? If I understood correctly?

OP should really work on defining his project, otherwise such lazy definitions are not going to interest any serious ico projects into working together with him in whatever venture he is currently trying to start.

What exactly is a ico portal? Is it for rating icos or perhaps a kind of launchpad? Perhaps a mix of both?

I think if OP was really serious about his "ICO portal" he would have strained himself a bit harder in marketing it on this topic to other project founders. All in all this topic seems to have served its purpose and I see no point in it, really.
1403  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 04, 2023, 10:55:05 PM
Although at this point I would be wary of drinking unboiled tap RO water as RO alone does not remove bacteria. And who knows what kind of bacteria are in those pipes...

This is incorrect. RO systems do remove 99.9% of bacteria from your water source.

https://waterfilterspot.com/reverse-osmosis-remove-bacteria/

-----------------

As far as store-bought bottled water goes, the only brand I would trust at this point is Aquafina.

But normally I just bottle up my own RO water from my house for road trips or around town. Saves money.

Oh, I guess I was wrong. My bad. I must have been thinking of something else.
1404  Economy / Gambling / Re: Past Experiences with histakes.io ? on: April 04, 2023, 10:29:41 PM
Hi, does anyone have any past experience with histakes.io?

I had recently deposited and won on their sportsbook. They then decided to close down their sportsbook and leave only the caisno open. Since i dont play the casino i went to withdraw
Sent in all my documents that say verifies on their site.

they gave me 1 withdraw of $200 but the rest of the withdraw ($8000) was rolledback
next day I went to withdraw again, and it has been pending for 5 days now.

I know a lot of casinos are not scams, but I know of some friends who have ran into bad experiences with crypto casinos so naturally i am worried about my funds

Has anyone had any experience with histakes.io ?

I have never heard of that casino but before you decide to deposit your money on any casino, you should do some research first, otherwise you might very well be caught in the scam trap and probably will never see your hard earned money again. Does histakes have a legitimate license? Have there been any complaints online - you can search on google and on their social media's. Do you have the real web address or perhaps did you get lured unto a phishing site? You can find many red flags if there is anything shady going on with that casino.  I am not trying to say that histakes is shady or anything and by no means do I wish to alarm you.

After googling the words "Histakes.io" and "scam", the first result is on Trustpilot and I can already find several scam accusations. And only 11 reviews...   Undecided Best to stick to casinos that have been vetted by the Bitcointalk community in the future.

Hope you get your money back..

Also, if it turns out that they are scammers, you should probably make sure the government identity documents you gave them are flagged as stolen. Otherwise you might find out that you have been the victim of identity theft. And that can become very serious (especially if somebody takes out a loan in your name). One of the reasons I abhor KYC.

I have not yet gotten the results of the stone analysis but I suspect it might have something to do with the mineral water that I drink basically everyday. Natural spring water used to be healthy but humans have screwed nature over so much over the years that we need to filter everything now or suffer the side-effects. At some point, our water will become undrinkable.

Have you got a nutritional/mineral profile of that mineral water?
Might be interesting.

Drinking water will be even more important on a global scale than it even is today.
It's something so basic and essential, we might run into big problems if the natural supplies become endangered.

Bottle of 1.5L of Altmühltaler Quelle Mineral Water

(measurements in mg/L)
Na+   50.3
K+     27
Mg²+  10.6
Ca²+   46.1
Cl-      1.6
HCO3- 283
SO4²-  59
F-        0.64

I would not trust this profile though. It states on the bottle that the profile was tested in 2015. No more updates for 8 years, huh...(gee I wonder why)
1406  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 04, 2023, 08:34:55 PM

I heard one thing to be cautious, when drinking a lot of reverse osmosis water, is that it can flush too many minerals out of your body.  So you may need to take them in again via supplement.

I second that.
Let me be a wise-ass for a second:  Grin
Kidney stones are often a result of too high Magnesium/Cacium/Vitamin-D uptake (only in excessive amounts, though) and/or high Oxalate ingestion.
Citric Acid is actually functioning as a basic agent (alkalic) in the body, thus reducing Oxalic Acid in the Kidneys. It's effective in Kidney stone prevention.
However, Citric Acid is binding to heavy metals and also able to pass through the blood/brain barrier, so better avoid it.
Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid) is also said to be working like CA, only a little less effective.
(DYOR)

Great conversation going, guys. Keep it going!  Smiley

One thing I would comment on is that RO water is still going to be much better for you in the long run than tap. You can always eat well and take supplements to boost your minerals.

Case in point, my tap water comes from a natural fed aquifer and is around 85 ppm, which is pretty darn good compared to our country's standard average of 200-300 ppm for tap water.

But holy hell, you should see what my RO filters look like after just a year's time. Yuck! Dark brown and slimy. I'll have to take a photo and share it with you next time. I just imagine what that would cumulatively do to my internal system over the next 30-40 years. And god only knows what chemicals are in there.

My RO system filters my water down to 4-5 ppm. Tastes amazing and makes great tasting coffee. I just take plenty of supplements and eat lots of veggies, fruit, and lean meats.

I have not yet gotten the results of the stone analysis but I suspect it might have something to do with the mineral water that I drink basically everyday. Natural spring water used to be healthy but humans have screwed nature over so much over the years that we need to filter everything now or suffer the side-effects. key that water is only h2o

not spring
not smart
not tap

if in USA target sells a reverse osmosis for around $2.50 24 bottles.

Just drink tons of them.

https://www.target.com/p/purified-drinking-water-24pk-16-9-fl-oz-bottles-good-gather-8482/-/A-54407104#lnk=sametab

Once a week I find a day to drink 10-12 of them.

zero stones since that prevention method.

I also make all coffee and tea with them or with this filter

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XVMJX1D/ref=sspa_dk_detail_5?

these waters from target or the filter are close to pure h2o

I heard one thing to be cautious, when drinking a lot of reverse osmosis water, is that it can flush too many minerals out of your body.  So you may need to take them in again via supplement.

I think as long as you follow a good diet, drinking RO water won't do you any harm. Although at this point I would be wary of drinking unboiled tap RO water as RO alone does not remove bacteria. And who knows what kind of bacteria are in those pipes...

I had a deep admiration for Elon Musk—that was before he started behaving like a 5 y-o. Michael Saylor has supposedly educated him about Bitcoin, but it seems that Elon is not doing his homework and instead wants to play with his little doggie...

Come on, Elon, that's it, woof-woof, like a dog...

He is manipulating people into buying into his adopted pyramid scheme so that he can cash out once everyone has bought in. There is already a huge doge market manipulation-related lawsuit against him for that exact reason.

I have never had any respect for Elon Musk. His half-baked rocket schemes and his over-hyped electric toasters on wheels have yielded nothing of value. Not a single one of his exorbitant promises have been kept.

All of it is smoke and mirrors, with the real innovators being used and pushed aside, just like what Steve Jobs did.

Egomaniacs are all the same.
1407  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: are you still strong holding btc on: April 04, 2023, 04:41:13 PM
as we know today btc is in the range of 28000, and i was very lucky to be able to buy btc when the price was still low, and now if i sell it i have a profit but if i sell it now i'm afraid i won't be able to
buying from the bottom again,, and I'm currently struggling to hold btc so I don't sell it,

I want to ask if you also  keep holding btc?

and the reason I hold btc is because I believe the price of btc in 2024 will be high and there will be no more btc prices like now.

Anyone who is trading back and forth and knows exactly what he is doing, can definitely profit off the price swings in Bitcoin. This I can say from experience. But this profit margin will be very thin. And compared to the risk of missing out on the pumps, for 99% of people, its not worth it because in the long run they will lose money rather than make it. And those who do not lose money will lose out on Bitcoin profits.

So you have to ask yourself, is that 100 dollar profit worth missing out on buying 0.1 BTC at the bottom prices and having to now buy 0.09 BTC at top prices?

1408  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best time to gamble on: April 04, 2023, 09:54:17 AM

Good day, everyone I want to share a little idea about gambling, and the idea is about WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO GAMBLE? On my schedule I mostly gamble in the afternoon 🔅 but letter I was with my friends and we were discussing the best time for gambling so many people says is evening then also checked google and it was the same answer then I also want to share the view with you guys
https://www.askgamblers.com/gambling-news/blog/best-time-to-play-slots/
So now the evening is the best time to gamble because of your daily activities

It depends on the reason for wanting to wait for the best time and what you consider the best time to gamble. Are you gambling on "lucky times"? Because I have never yet encountered any such thing. If you want to gamble when other people are gambling, then I would suggest the best time for that is after evening, when people are done with work and are going to the casino to relax during their off-hours. If you want to avoid the crowd then do the opposite and gamble when everyone else is busy at work in the morning. Grin

But I seem to think you are looking for superstitional reasons for a better gambling time?

My dad had so many complications due to scar tissue after prostate cancer surgery that he had to self-catheterize regularly for weeks at a time over about a year.  He says it's easier than bitcoin.

You are thinking of catheters. In the case of kidney stones you don't just get a catheter, you also get a ureteral splint. Thats done under general anesthesia and it goes deeper than a catheter. It goes into your very kidney. Although I do not envy anyone having to shove a tube up any hole. Your dad is a hero.

Just the thought of pissing a jagged pebble thru my penis hole makes me shudder.
But also, just the thought of pain meds makes me….ummm…never mind. I’d best not have those thoughts…
All the best m8.
Thanks. Grin
Yeah, it cuts your soft tissue to hell on the way down. I am going to be feeling the damage for a while.

Wide. About 12 inches long.

Are you serious?

Straight into the kidney. Fun times, right?

As long as you drink a lot, I think that will flush any early stones out before they get too big.

So my body played an awesome April Fools prank on me.

I just came back from the hospital after having a kidney stone. The pain was quite intense. I spent around 4 hours waiting in the emergency room enduring hell and the rest of the time in stationary care, hopped up on meds. Well, I say stationary care but it was mostly me getting laughs from the nurses from doing weird cardio in the halls on pain meds and a bottle of water in one hand and a IV-stand in the other because I would rather force the stone to come out by itself rather than get a tube inserted up my urethra. But it worked.

Back home quickly, pain free.

Life is good. Grin

Ouch. An old friend, in his late teen age, suffered a kidney rupture, following blockage of the uretha by big clots.
To make it short: He had that tube insertion experience. While he was kinda enjoying the nurse trying to make him hard while he was on a fair dose of painkillers (he was an  expert in the substance abuse field, also coming off a LSD trip at that morning), the fun was guaranteed to be over when he got that 3/8-inch tube inserted into his front end.

Telling by the details of the story he told me, you must have been really lucky  Shocked

(Did multiple edits for adding details)

EDIT2: Buddy diving those $27k waters again  Roll Eyes

Oh yeah, they showed me the tube. Shocked That was all the motivation I needed.

Is it 3/8-inch wide, or 3/8-inch long?

Wide. About 12 inches long.

1414  Economy / Gambling / Re: Looking for paying online casinos for refer on: April 03, 2023, 11:41:17 AM
is there anyone into this type of side income thing? What type of  Smiley advice can you give a dude like me?

Honestly, in my own personal experience with referrals, I have never had much luck of generating any kind of income. In order to do that you would need to have a very often visited website, social media account or something similar. You basically have to be a successful Influencer to get into the money (which is not only pennies).

So I gave up on referrals. Although I have not yet tried specifically online gambling casino referrals. So perhaps there is some kind of difference there. Obviously if a casino is willing to pay around 100 usd per week for someone to post on this board with their signature as advertisement, then obviously the casinos are making a bigger profit than loss with personal referral marketing. So who knows?

1415  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How honest and transparent are casinos? on: April 03, 2023, 09:36:10 AM
I have seen several casinos with promotions where they do "drops" to thousands of people or they give bonuses to several gamblers, but how transparent is this process?

Do you think casinos are really doing these drops to 1000s of people or are they skimming from the top.... ? They might say a drop is for 2500 people, but they might only drop for 500 people and nobody will know. Yes, some of those 500 people will report that they have received the drop and it will look legit.... but is it really?

How can the gamblers verify that the actual amount of people are receiving the drop or the bonus, if there are no list to verify it? Let's discuss this.. I am curious if other people also thought about this...  Tongue

How trustworthy, honest and transparent are any kind of for-profit businesses?

I think they are all about the same more or less but only as dishonest as the regulators and their customers allow them to be. Any good business owner understands the repercussions of a bad image and customer complaints. Such businesses are not hard to spot and there are always scam accusations against them from multiple sources. But it depends on the owner of the business, really. If the owner is not very serious, that will reflect on the business's image. And as I said, stuff like that is really easy to spot.

I am not sure how you could determine how many drops or bonuses they give to their customers, or whether such a process is in any way transparent but I think if the casino has a responsible owner, they will not risk their entire image over something like this.

If you are worried about trustworthy online gambling casinos, just do some research on those casinos here on this board and ask around what other people think. Once you have done your own research, you should be able to have a clear picture.

1416  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duckdice.io Fake Trustpilot Reviews on: March 31, 2023, 08:43:28 PM
That's really unethical of the Duckdice to offer you money to post fake reviews for them. It's not only dishonest, but it's also against the terms and conditions of Trustpilot. I'm sorry to hear that you got scammed out of your payment, but honestly, you didn't deserve better. Fake reviews can really mislead people who rely on them to make informed decisions. While I understand that you may have been tempted by the offer, it's not ethical to accept such a deal.

Depends on whether they offered the money for a good review or just a review. One is worse than the other, if you were to ask me.

But this is the business model of review sites. There is absolutely nothing shocking about this and honestly, I think most casinos offer money for reviews. Its just another way to advertise for the casino.

Anyone with half a brain would do their own research and ask the gambling/crypto community on their thoughts rather than blindly trust "review sites". And anyone that does trust such sites deserves what they get. Thats just my opinion though.
1417  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Online casino always take risks? on: March 31, 2023, 04:09:11 PM
I am just curious about how does online casino pay for their promotion on their influencers? Where does their earning comes from? How will you get scammed when you try online casino? How can you tell that online casino is safe?

Obviously the promotions are funded by the casino's own turnover, which is mainly an income stream from the gamblers playing on their online casino website. Of course they lose some money by doing bonuses and promotion but what kind of business does not spend money on advertising? And this kind of advertising that they do is compared to other types of advertisement actually very cheap! Because they make back most of the promotion money from the gamblers they gave it to. And its featured on their own website so they can decide the rules of that promotion.
1418  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk and others urge AI pause, citing 'risks to society' on: March 31, 2023, 02:24:01 PM
Regardless of what a multibillionaire egomaniac like Elon Musk says, I do not think it is even possible to stop AI development at this point. Also, I have lost all faith in Musk and his pump and dump manipulation schemes ever since he sold Tesla's Bitcoin with his ridiculous excuses. Why would anyone, especially the people from the cryptocurrency community want to trust in his words anymore?

I think that AI development is scarier in its public image than it actually is in reality.

It probably stems from the fact that many people do not understand it and think that AI is some kind of living being which is slowly becoming more superior to humans. Which is both not even close to true.

SCAM

Everyone need to know. This site ask for KYC if you win

Then, you will receive email that your documents are fake, or photo are edited.

You can chech google to see it. At Casino guru already made 3 complaints.

Casino have BAD REPUTATION at casino guru. You need to understand that casino use scam scheme to do not pay winnings.

This casino are total fake with fake trustpilot reviews, which are paid by casino. A lot of reviews are from USA, but USA are restricted to play.

You can see REAL REVIEWS with one star. Where people make deposits andd loose money, but when gamblers want to withdraw, casino blocks account with reason "Restricted territories"

Casino find all possible ways to scam you and try to steal your money.

Do not make mistakes like i made already and was scammed with amount about 1500 eur.

This casino are total SCAM.

All casinos ask for KYC on withdrawal of large enough amounts because they are forced to ask kyc by regulational law before handing over anyone their winnings. The fact that they do this during withdrawal makes more sense because they have to individually check every persons documents and that takes manpower and time. If they did that for every account during registration it would be very hard and expensive to do. They told you this on their website in the terms and conditions.

Also, if you trust "review sites", whose main business model is to accept money in exchange for reviews, then thats your own fault. You should have done your own research instead of depending on others to do your research for you.

If the casino says your documents are fake, then they likely are. If you have a problem with that, you can deal with the casino by yourself. All legit casinos are registered and licensed.
1420  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: WHERE DOES THE PROFITS FROM? on: March 30, 2023, 07:55:10 PM
When investing in #crypto, you need to understand where the profits come from? . You buy low and sell high at many times, but you don't always buy at the bottom and sell at the top. I jumped in and ended up not getting a good #entry , then the account was not profitable , even lost & lost . What you need to decide is when the market has explored very deeply, the whole community is afraid to panic you buy at such times, don't listen to the media at those times, it all just annoys and scares you. so all plus outside there . Remember carefully: high profits come from beautiful #entry and waiting. Decisiveness and innovation for sustainable profits! #future is a tool for the house to hook up the coins from the community after 1 season of #uptrend failure = stay away from it!

Depends on which crypto you are talking about...

If you are talking about some altcoin with absolutely no innovation or anything backing it and no business model behind it then its probably 100% speculative, in which case the profits you earn from it are from the people buying the coin/token. This could be seen as unethical but thats basically what memecoins are.

If you have an innovative coin with an innovative blockchain then thats a different thing.

And if you have a business model pumping profits into the coin then thats where the profits come from. And if that coin is combined with an innovative technology then thats a solid altcoin which could very well be worth investing in.

But a lot of altcoins lack innovation and just copy the original top coins.
