681  Economy / Gambling / Re: Seabet.io| Limited Time 10-15% Slots Depo Bonus 🎰 5-10% Slots Daily Loss Return on: February 11, 2024, 11:06:33 AM
In my opinion at this stage neither of the two complaints mentioned in this thread can be elevated to a scam accusation because it is too early for that. The Seabet team need to reply to the complaint you highlighted because over two weeks of silence is simply not good enough.

As for the other complaint against them, they seem to have kept him waiting for over a month. By trying to stay neutral, their next reply to both these cases will probably indicate whether the scam accusations against them are justified therefore they need to reply as soon as possible.

Below is the only response from Seabet for the complaint by above user (vdd2a2ddd):

Good day, we have received an update from our team regarding your account. It appears that your account is currently under review by the gaming provider, and it may take several days before we receive a final decision. For more information and assistance, please reach out to our customer support team. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Seabet said "several days", 2 weeks passed since he said it but no updates from him and the user has not received any update from them. The other user (kadat) opened a scam accusation thread already and it seems that the case is the same as vdd2a2ddd which is about "account under review" and both cases takes too long time, not only several days as what Seabet said in above post. This casino will start to get bad impression if they ignore the complaints without giving good explanation about what is going on.
682  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Seabet.io Holding my funds for more than a month. on: February 11, 2024, 10:57:35 AM
i messaged julerz12 i think second day after seabet disabled my withdrawals. Unfortunately he told me there is nothing he can do about it.
I am sure the campaign manager should have at the very least notified Seabet about your scam accusation and after that there was clearly nothing more he could do. It would be useful to know if that was what he did (or did not) do. In the event there is a clear issue in the way complaints are being addressed/resolved/unresolved by the website, a campaign manager would then have to make a decision about whether to continue promoting the brand or not.

No review on casino.guru isnt mine. im giving seabet last chance to solve my problem before i start writing reviews on other sites..
I think that will be a valid next step because you have waited far longer than you needed to in order for this matter to have been resolved. If there is already a complaint against them at CasinoGuru that means you can add your own complaint. It would be wise to have a little more patience because forum members have started posting in the Seabet ANN thread highlighting your case therefore a couple of days more should suffice.
683  Other / Meta / Re: (Any Guesses?) Are there many real (unpaid) people still posting here at BCT? on: February 11, 2024, 10:43:07 AM
If you see a post that does not have a link/logo in either their signature or personal website information, then they probably are not being paid. Unfortunately, that is what many puppeteers do, they build up accounts before monetising them therefore just because some accounts might not be displaying/promoting a brand now it does not mean they will never do it.

If memory serves correct, I applied to join my first signature campaign after I had made around 9500 posts but eventually joined my first signature campaign after I had made 10,000 posts therefore I mad over 10,000 posts without getting paid (though one of the victims of a scam did make generous gifts to some members including me that supported him when his funds were stolen by an exchange and he eventually had them returned).

Hello, I have spent many hours studying the old threads at your wonderful forum, and I suggest to anyone they do the same. The amount of challenging, high-quality topics combined with no spam or sigs is a refreshing retro experience for me. As we quickly head into 2024, do you think there many real (unpaid) people still posting here at BCT? Have a great day.
684  Economy / Reputation / Re: 1xBit.com Coming back to Bitcointalk, Solving all the issues. on: February 10, 2024, 11:16:43 PM
I know it has been a while since I have posted in this thread but after reading a recent scam accusation against the 1xbit/1xbit1 website, I decided to post here.

They last had activity here in May 2023. What happened to their promises of a fresh start? Did they even resolve anything when they claimed to be trying to resolve scam allegations against them?

Hello Bitcointalk Community

1xBit is Now control by a new Team. We want to do a fresh start again. Most of the scam accusation are 2 years+ old, not sure if there a way to resolve them.

If there is any issues with your account please post all the details here, make sure to provide your account number.(Send the information via PM) We will try to solve all your issues. We're interested to hear back your thoughts too.

685  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Seabet.io Holding my funds for more than a month. on: February 10, 2024, 10:24:03 PM
I sympathise with you, I am sure many forum members will if they read what you have stated to be the facts but it is important to read what the Seabet forum representative replies. I know you have waited for an unnecessary long time for them to reply but now you have brought this matter to the forum with a scam accusation it will be discussed here in public. It is in their interests to make a statement as soon as possible either accepting what you wrote and offer a solution to resolve it or deny any wrongdoing and counter your allegation.

Im creating this thread because i hope it is the only chance to get more detailed respond from seabet.io .
686  Economy / Gambling / Re: Seabet.io| Limited Time 10-15% Slots Depo Bonus 🎰 5-10% Slots Daily Loss Return on: February 10, 2024, 10:18:02 PM
I think what is important for the Seabet representative to appreciate is that if forum members (such as you and I) can post in threads where allegations ar made against their business, then they should be able to post in those threads too. They should use every opportunity to defend themselves against any and all accusations rather than stay quiet.

It is important to get both sides of the story before coming to a conclusion therefore it is important to keep an open mind about the allegation until Seabet respond. I hope they reply soon as this delay is affecting their reputation.

To Seabet representative: ignoring customers' concerns and complaints shows lack of professionalism. No one would be interested in those promotions you keep posting about if you don't address/try to resolve your customers' complaints.
Not sure how serious those Accusations are but I invite all members who face troubles withdrawing their winning to report it on the scam accusation board.
687  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Selling a property to play gamble on: February 10, 2024, 06:58:43 PM
Selling a smart phone is far more convenient when using selling a house as a comparator therefore it makes sense for some people to follow that path if it is the norm depending on the area. Using items as collateral is something that most problem gamblers probably do, such as motorbikes, cycles, cars and a lot more.

Also, I think the damage suffered by communities that have family members that have addictions to slot machines, is under reported. Slot machines are magnets for people that are classed as problem gamblers and that is dangerous. You are right, the impact of gambling very big, it destroys families and lives when it changes from fun gambling to addiction.

What most people around me encounter is selling their smartphones to gamble, and some people also pawn them. Most of the gamblers in my area are slot gamblers, only a few play soccer betting, and there are also those who play both. Not a few of them also borrow money from friends, with other small property as collateral such as motorbikes, I haven't found anyone who sells cars, that's very risky in my opinion. As for this model of gambler, it is clear that they are addicted, it is difficult for them to give up this bad habit.

Of course the risk of regret always comes last, but most of them are very prepared for any risk, and will sell any property they can cash in on. The impact of gambling is very big, making you bankrupt and losing almost everything you have. Family, career, savings and future are at stake if you continue to gamble, most addicted gamblers will also avoid people who give them advice. I think if they are at the stage of selling the property to gamble, then they will no longer listen to any advice.
688  Other / Meta / Re: Icopress ' Merit Source Application 🚩 on: February 10, 2024, 06:30:48 PM
I am glad the thread was bumped. icopress created the thread in July 2023 therefore it is approximately seven months ago and there is no estimated time before he is advised if the application has been accepted or rejected.

As there are far too many merit sources at the moment it seems there is an understandable lack of urgency on part of theymos to process this and other applications. I hope he receives a positive outcome soon.

Friendly bump, as I think the forum still need more reliable sources
689  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Selling a property to play gamble on: February 10, 2024, 06:10:19 PM
I doubt anybody in the forum would open;y admit to selling a property to gamble and not only that, it is highly unlikely for people to do it. One way homes could be sold is if gamblers ended up taking loans against their homes for the purpose of gambling and they lost the whole amount. In that case it is probable debt collectors would be chasing the debt therefore a home could be forcefully sold via a Court order to recover costs to pay outstanding debts.

Other than that, it would be very unwise for someone to sell their home for the specific purpose of gambling.

Have you ever sold a property to play gamble and afterwards finds it difficult to replace that same property again?
690  Economy / Exchanges / Re: eXch - instant exchange BTC / LN / XMR / LTC / ETH / ERC20 on: February 10, 2024, 04:09:36 PM
By a lucky occasion Cloudflare isn't blocking me from accessing Bitcointalk today and I can finally reply.
Welcome back  Grin

Is there scope or plans for adding any other stable coins options to eXch in the future? DAI and USDT are available on the Ethereum blockchain but are there any plans to spread out further say to TRC-20?

What d5000 answered above is still relevant and can be taken as a full answer. We are still hesitant on adding Tron or Avalanche. We don't trust both project founders and specially the latter.
I need to look in to this to get a better understanding of why you might be avoiding adding them as potential options but TRC-20 seems to be getting popular as an alternative to ERC-20 because of lower fees. If you remain hesitant (after a significant amount of time) you must have valid reasons and concerns for not trusting them. I am not familiar with the background of either of the project founders (Tron or Avalanche) therefore I will try to find out about them.
691  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Rollbit didnt help me as Gambling Addicted - not closing main account on time on: February 10, 2024, 03:33:24 PM
This certainly does sound more like a complaint about the alleged lack of expected customer services and customer care rather than a scam accusation. I am not stating Rollbit could not have done more in this particular case but if the OP is upset about the $560 he lost then yes he has a right but this does not make it a scam.

I hope the OP will use this experience as the final push he needed to refrain all types of gambling in future.

In other words, this really isn't a scam accusation, just a complaint without much basis.  I understand how problem gambling can wreck lives, OP.  I sincerely hope you can get your life back on track if you've suffered any of the consequences of it--and if not, I hope you never learn how bad it can get.
692  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [ SCAM ALERT ] Blackjack.Fun is a cheap Scammer on: February 10, 2024, 03:05:44 PM
Without commenting further on the scam allegation itself, I went to the blackjack.fun website to check if they removed the Curacao logo because it gives the impression that they are operating under their licence but the logo is still there. As there is no link added that takes customers to a verification page that shows a valid licence, what purpose does it serve by blackjack.fun showing the Curacao logo?

It is disappointing to see they have not removed a small logo from their website (and they should have done it by now) in order to demonstrate they are not trying to mislead their own customers.
693  Other / Meta / Re: The effect the mixer ban has had on the forum. on: February 10, 2024, 02:35:31 PM
I think we all understand that coming from a particular country does not indicate citizens will be wealthy by default. If memory serves correct, he does live in the US and he is a miner that has various mining machines (but I hope I will be corrected if I am wrong).  I believe he is indeed retired and that is part of the reason he is making a prolific number of posts per day/week.

I suppose if forum members have spare time at work and are allowed to use the internet, they will post here and it will increase their post count. Having retirement makes it altogether a different scenario whether it is for here or Reddit.

100 posts per week? Dude lives in the USA, how does he manage to do that? I am kinda curious sometimes when I see people from rich countries posting here a lot, are most of you retired? If not, how do you manage to post and work at the same time? I personally work in a good company where I am not occupied 100% of the time and I manage to visit this forum and post sometimes, it's kinda entertaining and I get some new information while interacting with people. I prefer it over Reddit.
694  Economy / Exchanges / Re: eXch - instant exchange BTC / LN / XMR / LTC / ETH / ERC20 on: February 10, 2024, 11:30:56 AM
Thank you for the answer  Grin

They probably have the capability (and infrastructure) to expand but they are taking their time by evaluating options and scenarios. There is another possibility "less is more" therefore if that is what the eXch team are trying to do by focusing on a core handful of coins it is working because they have an excellent reputation and provide a brilliant service. Maybe adding more options will damage their reputation especially if there are fluctuations in fees but that should not really be a factor in the decision.

About TRC-20 stablecoins, they have already written in this thread in November that they're perhaps interested, see here. They're however generally sceptical regarding Tron.
As for other Ethereum alternatives with stablecoins, in the same post they wrote about Polygon too (they were considering adding it, but sceptical due to the high fees close to Ethereum's, which may have changed), and this post probably means that they're not eager to add Avalanche, although the post is related to a bridge, not to stablecoins.

(I answer here just because I remembered these posts exch made in November. Of course their policies may have changed and I actually would also love some new alternatives.)
695  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2023/2024 on: February 10, 2024, 10:47:11 AM
These are the games taking place today Saturday 10th February:

Manchester City vs Everton
Fulham vs Bournemouth
Liverpool vs Burnley
Luton Town vs Sheffield United
Tottenham Hotspur vs Brighton and Hove Albion
Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Brentford
Nottingham Forest vs Newcastle United

On paper Liverpool have an easy home game against Burnley and they need to win otherwise Manchester City could already have leapfrogged them to sit at the top of the table because they play in the early kick-off game against Everton.

Elsewhere, Nottingham Forest have started playing well even if the results did not fully reflect that therefore I think they will beat Newcastle United today. Brighton will give Tottenham a difficult game therefore that game looks to be heading for a draw.
696  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fixedfloat is scamming me for 8000+ EUR IMPORTANT PSA! on: February 10, 2024, 10:31:11 AM
I have to agree, I think there is more to this story than meets the eye as far as the OP is co concerned. Even if he was not completely open (or honest) about what happened that resulted in him receiving €8000, the damage to the reputation of Fixedfloat has already occurred and is unlikely to be repaired.

Having said all that, it is not impossible for the OP to receive a large payment for making the website but it is as though some pieces of the jigsaw were deliberately withheld in the OP. Now both the OP and Fixedfloat are silent but whereas nobody knows the OP, it is Fixedfloat that lost much more as a result of them seizing the funds. The KYC they put the client of the OP through is one of the most bizarre things I have read regarding exchanges asking for KYC.

Even if they've refunded OP and get into a resolution off-screen, or [if we assume for a while here] OP did not tell the full story and there are more to tell, I think the taint on their reputation is already done and can't be erased. They've show that they overcomplicate things, requesting way too intrusive KYC despite their claim of supporting privacy, and --the most important-- no one can guess whether their fund will get through or get confiscated when dealing with their platform, given they have their own blocklist and taint measurement.
697  Other / Meta / Re: The effect the mixer ban has had on the forum. on: February 10, 2024, 10:20:38 AM
Those exchanges are run by people (and organisations) that effectively have their own interests at heart therefore they re driven by what they see as beneficial to them and not to their customers. The US market is massive and Binance want to be part of it therefore to achieve regulated/official standard to be allowed to trade there without fear of fines and arrest, they would be happy to adhere to any requests or instructions from regulators.

I am unsure what the future holds for Monero and how it will navigate difficult times when more exchanges de-list it but as an example, the mixer ban in the forum probably had zero effect on mixers both in website visitor numbers and also the business turnover. The impact will be seen several months after Monero is de-listed.

As off-topic as it is, it is disappointing to read about the de-listing of any crypto that was being used by the community because of an actual function it provided (such as privacy) compared to many others that do not provide anything other than hype. Binance are doing what they are because of their owners wanting to remain on the right side of regulating bodies but the trade-off will affect many people.
They're a CEX after all, of course Binance will want to stay in business, I don't think they're of interest if they keep on delaying or avoiding the regulations that's being imposed on them by the government, too bad that they do delisting of these privacy coins especially Monero but I do salute their stance about privacy and that they're never compromising, love that idea that there's still people in this world that will stand on principle and not worship money.
698  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fixedfloat is scamming me for 8000+ EUR IMPORTANT PSA! on: February 10, 2024, 12:59:59 AM
The OP made his last post on 30th January therefore we do not know if any settlement was made between himself and Fixedfloat but it would seem highly unlikely. Yes they lied and for that they have to accept their reputation is basically zero when it comes to the opinion of members of the forum. In future, regardless of the steps they take in trying to protect their brand, they will be reminded of this incident because it clearly seems to be about them finding any excuse they can think of in order to steal funds.

The Fixedfloat forum representative have taken themselves out of the thread and that is disappointing. It seems they have not posted since 29th January.
Now you have stopped engaging in this thread, but it would be better if you explain the reason behind it. Because this raises doubts about the claim you are making.
They lied. That should tell you everything you need to know:
The funds remain frozen at our addresses, and when the frozen funds are seized by the authorities, they are also sent from our addresses.
That's not true. You say the funds "remain frozen", but that can't be since you've mixed them already.
The first transaction was mixed in this transaction and that same output was used to sent to another address. The second transaction was mixed in this transaction and also sent to another address. None of the funds were frozen in your wallet, you're normally using them to pay other people.
To summarize: if those funds came from criminal activity as you claim, you've now sent it to other innocent users who now own those "tainted" Bitcoins.
It sounds very much like you only care about "taint" when it's convenient for you.

btw, binance is delisting monero and zcash

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5484277

This is off-topic but yeah that is definitely nuts. Its a major blow to the spirit of cryptocurrency in general. I understand they want to be in line with whoever's regulations, but still... Sad that this is what its come to. At least they are still available on Kraken and KuCoin. Bitfinex as well apparently. Down 24% now... seems like an overreaction.
