681  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Find places to earn and win FREE Bitcoin - Feedback welcome! on: February 16, 2014, 10:55:23 PM
Some of the sites reviewed to need you to spend time to earn your coins, however many listed only require a few clicks per day (less that a minutes work) to earn up to 2000 satoshis each day.

As mentioned none of the reviewed sites require you to place any deposits at all.

You should join a signature ad program then...as you could get as much as 20000 satoshi a post... Smiley
682  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: fastpool wtf? on: February 16, 2014, 10:52:45 PM
I haven't been mining for long but I have been unable to reset my password and access my https://fast-pool.com/ account.
It seems I registered the account with an invalid email address and the PW reset system will not accept my email address (too many characters?)

Try to make a post here instead. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=372997.0

Fast is better!

Huh?  Huh
683  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to share access to my wallet? on: February 16, 2014, 10:50:20 PM
Hello, I have a business partner. How can i provide one with the access to the bitcoin wallet installed on my computer?

IMHO, you should use blockchain.info (share the account and password) or Electurm (use the same seed) in this case...
684  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie Friend Needs Help -- Can't Post on: February 16, 2014, 10:46:19 PM
I have a friend who joined the forums awhile ago but has not been super active. He recently tried to post but the forum is telling him that he must wait like 360 seconds because he just posted. This happens despite the fact that he has not actually posted anything in weeks. Anyone know what might be wrong or how he might fix it? Maybe an admin needs to fix something? His username is BadEmt.

Loggin in counts as "posting".  After logging in, he should wait 6 minutes before trying to post anything.  That 6 minutes would be well spent reading the NEWBIE README if he hasn't yet.

Apart from logging in, searching and signing up will also reset the timer...  Smiley
685  Economy / Services / Re: Up to 0.025 BTC each 15days YOUR SIGNATURE on: February 16, 2014, 10:39:40 PM
We pay 0.001*Activity each 15 days (max. 0.025BTC).
We pay up to a month 0.05btc. Payments are processed monthly dates 15 and 30.
Spammy and meaningless posts, just to build up post count, as well as posts in giveaway threads won't be accepted and will be deducted from your total count.

It seems you just copy it from the bit777 sig ad thread.  Wink

Spammy and meaningless posts, just to build up post count, as well as posts in giveaway threads won't be accepted and will be deducted from your total count.

BTW, why do you need post count, if your payment is based on activity level lol.  Cheesy
686  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Itbit.com excludes US, Why??? on: February 16, 2014, 09:24:11 PM

Thanks for the link.  Smiley

why they're excluding US residents?

Probably because of the laws in US...
687  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Sig help much appreciated! on: February 16, 2014, 09:17:24 PM
There are so many things I dont understand here - what does the above poster mean by "At the service forum you can find a lot of fine plate" I understand the service forum but not fine plate?

No idea, but I can guess...
Maybe he is saying you can find lots of signature ad program in the service board, and you can get lots of nice background (plate) there Smiley
688  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Sig help much appreciated! on: February 16, 2014, 09:13:42 PM
Thanks for the replys guys - I tried to reply myself last night but it kept saying you posted less than 360 seconds ago and then - you already posted this - when I hadnt successfully posted anything? Not sure why it was doing that?

As a measure to prevent spamming, new joiners will have a 360 second time limit.
So, you will need to wait for 360s between your post and PM.
Actions like signing up, logging in, and searching will reset the timer as well.

The good thing is, the time limit will be down to just 75s when you reach 15 activity.

690  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Fried my damn graphics card :( on: February 16, 2014, 09:05:48 PM
Sad to hear that.

Just as sakkosekk mentioned, you should set up a cutoff temp, and it is easy to do with CGminer or BFGMiner.
691  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MtGox to Coinbase? on: February 16, 2014, 08:59:09 PM
Yes, they're delaying BTC / fiat withdrawals.

http://www.businessinsider.com/mtgox-halts-withdrawals-2014-2

Don't be tempted to make a quick profit, you'll lose your money.

Exactly.

But i read that it take minimum of 1 year to withdraw from MTGOX  Tongue
ah...BUT if you buy low now, by the time you get your coints they will be worth so much more! Long distance trading FTW!

Seriously though, avoid MTgox like it's the plague.

It could be a few months, or a few years, or you will never see your btc and usd again Smiley

Newb alert here!

I am trying to create a signature for the bottom of my posts containing a couple of lines of text / couple of colours and a link to my site.

Just a friendly reminder, you need to have 10 posts, in order to put links in your signature Wink

ahh forgot about that Smiley

Anyway OP made just 1 and seems to be away Sad

Maybe OP is just taking his time, or he is getting lost in bitcointalk with all those fascinating threads and people Cheesy
694  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: is there a way to make bitcoins without mining on: February 16, 2014, 06:23:05 PM
Hey,

If you want to mine Bitcoin without going through hardware setups and managing your miners all the time then check out my signature.
Cloud mining is a very reliable and easy solution for those who want to mine Bitcoin and don't want to spend time supervising their miners.
I myself am very busy and have found it very helpful.

cex.io is very reliable? You must be kidding me lol.

Anyway, the price there is highly overpriced, and you can compare the mining revenue with the hashrate price easily here. http://cex.io/calc
695  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mining Contracts - Legit or Bogus? A Brief Analysis on: February 16, 2014, 06:21:37 PM
Check my signature [with affiliate tag so he gets paid for recruiting you] for more info.

Don't fall for this. Cloud hashing deals are almost terrible deals in terms of profit margin, if not outright scams.

Ask yourself, if they have the equipment already set up and running, why would they mine for you when they can just mine for themselves? The answer is either: 1) They are charging you more than the expected output of the miners, 2) it is a scam where you can kiss your money good bye.  As far as I can tell CEX is "just" 1) and not 2) but you never know really.

Very true.
The hashrate there is so highly priced, that you can never get your investment back with mining.
Check the built-in profit calculator there for your reference. http://cex.io/calc
696  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cloud Mining on: February 16, 2014, 06:16:38 PM
Hey,

I use cloud mining and I am happy to this date.
Check out my signature for more info.

Cheers

I can see nothing in your sig...
You'd better take a look at it Smiley

EDIT: It seems all cex.io links are blocked with adblock now lol Smiley
697  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: newbie been hacked BTC E on: February 16, 2014, 06:15:38 PM

I WAS also HACKED  on BTC-E scam site !!!  There SUPPORT TEAM IS TOTALLY WORTHLESS !!

If you encounter a problem on BTC-E do not bother emailing them !!!  YOU WILL GET NO SUPPORT OR HELP !!

BE SMART TRADERS  ***  Withdrawal all your funds/coins from BTC-E trading site now !!  or you will lose everything in your account !!!

Do you have 2FA enabled?
Have you used the same password on other sites?
698  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Openions wanted on: February 16, 2014, 06:07:20 PM
Hi Guys

Lately I've been seeing avalon 2 for sale on our local kijjiji.  They are claiming that it's 220-240GH/s and they are asking $3000 - 3500 for it. I don't know much about bitcoins and the speed of hashing needed now to regain the investment.

So my question to you guys that are experienced is, would it be worth getting one or two of those now?  those are sold for Canadian dollars and not taxes, straight cash.

mining calculators shows about 80 days to regain my investment.  Is this pretty accurate for those that are mining now?

And finally, anyone used those miners and what are your thoughts of them?

Thank you.

Which profit calculator are you using?

IMHO, you will never get your investment back with it (not even close at all even with free electricity), and I would not suggest you to buy it...

BTW, "digital currencies" is a little bit different from "cryptocurrencies", as it also include something like Linden Dollar or e-gold.
