7141  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitwala - Pay Your Bills With Bitcoin in Europe on: January 26, 2018, 03:37:54 PM
 Hello @Bitwala

I know you can't give us a date but do you think the company will have the banking license and operate with it during the year 2018?
I know that before this you have a lot to do, to work on the Lightning Node, API's, Altcoins and surely much more but well me too I am dreaming to see  Bitwala with a banking license lol,
7142  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Revolut SEPA transfer to Kraken possible? on: January 26, 2018, 02:44:00 PM
I am surprised if they are accepting deposits from Revolut. Knowing how Kraken is very strict from which banks deposits are made and not accepting deposits from some (traditional) banks, I would not be surprised if they stop deposits from Revolut in some months. Especially if they face frauds at a high rate.

You shouldn't be surprised at all.
I cant understand why the sepa transfers wouldn't work from revolut to kraken.
Continuing to block the money flow, would be a joke.
There are KYC for both kraken and revolut, so frauds are limited if not eliminated.

Why that? Since Kraken doesn't accept deposits coming from Revolut (source link posted above by @gentleman)
As a security matter, Kraken is also blocking any deposit coming from some traditional banks (and all banks have KYC procedures) so nope, frauds are not limited or wiped out
7143  Economy / Service Discussion / 2024 List Bitcoin Mixers Bitcoin Tumblers Websites on: January 26, 2018, 12:22:20 PM
People thinking Bitcoin is an anonymous cryptocurrency is simply a total misconception as you know (or at least you should).
There are some Bitcoin users looking to get real privacy and this is where such websites are useful. Privacy is a right, not a privilege
I a not going to talk about the advantages to use such websites, (privacy, tainted coins, etc...) this is not the purpose of this topic.

I am trying to make an updated list of Bitcoin mixers/tumblers websites.
it will be useful to other users/readers, especially when there are some scams to avoid(cloned sites, etc...))

Disclaimer:
Although the list is updated as frequently as possible, (as soon as a change is needed), it's important for people to do their own research to make up their own opinion. Follow the announcement topics (links are posted when there is one), see what's going on, check the recent feedback from others, etc...

It can be very easy to be fooled. There are a lot of scams, much more than legitimate tumblers, (unfortunately).
Some don't bother to create a website with a different TLD (.net instead of .com) and replicate the design of a well-known mixer in order to mislead people.
Others go further using the IDN homograph attack.
To make it simple they use very similar characters. For example, using "l" lowercase L, and "I" uppercase "i". Or "ẹ" instead of "e".

examples below:
Code:
aladinwebsite .net
aiadinwebsite .net
bitcointumblerslist. com
bitcointumblẹrslist .com

Don't forget to visit Scams Bitcoin Mixers List and Services closed to avoid loosing money

These discussions are defenately not limited to mixers, but should extend to any site that handles information you're not willing to share with law enforcement. It's perfectly fine to use cloudflare on your blog, your forum or on your site selling mouth masks.
It's not fine to use cloudflare on banking apps, ammo stores, mixers,...

We should give it 3 months at least to see how it goes. After we will see better the advantages and disadvantages
7145  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Minimising Capital Gains Tax on Cryptocurrencies on: January 26, 2018, 01:16:35 AM
It may not work in all countries but:

- In some countries, donations are not taxed. So donate the money to your brother (0% tax)
then your brother donate to your sister (0% tax) and finally, your sister donate to you (0% tax)  Cheesy

- Buy gold with cryptos, once you receive the gold bars, sell them

- Use decentralized exchanges

- Move to a country without taxes on capital gains for 6 months

- Pay the taxes in your country, because it is somewhat for your own benefits too.
7146  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [LIST] Free EU bank accounts that you can be opened directly online on: January 26, 2018, 12:50:44 AM
Nah I bet the problem is something else
Using your main bank account to receive frequently and/or large amounts, the bank suspect you to run a business.

Their problem isn't really that you have a business but the fact that you're using your main account with it, which is forbidden by any decent bank. You are supposed to have a business account.

Now, what do they call huge amount received to think it's a business may be different from bank to bank. But in my country, once you received 5000€ within 30 days the system give you a red flag and all info are forwarded to a govt. institution that will check carefully your banking history to look for any illegal activity done.

These "neo banks" are not much different from the traditional banks as we know it. They still need to abide by the laws for criminal activities, money laundering, etc.

We are really fucked with the banksin Europe
7147  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptopia command line interface? on: January 26, 2018, 12:19:03 AM
Are you using Bittrex's API to do it? Because Cryptopia has public and private API as well.
So it should be possible to do it like how you're doing with Bittrex.

There is this framework on GitHub to connect to different websites CryptoFyer 0.5 (never tested so no idea) Perhaps it can help you directly or indirectly with the code and giving you a hint.
7148  Other / Meta / Re: Merit - A definition of, Rich people maintain Rich, POOR people will be POOR on: January 25, 2018, 11:35:06 PM

I am working on something on BPIP which will let users easily report Merit they believe has been given disingenuously.
How often are the stats supposed to be updated on your site?
Because the homepage looks like fresh from yesterday or today but while checking using the member UID I see the last update us n 21 or 22

7150  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: January 25, 2018, 12:59:50 AM
Ok, I've understood all about this new system, however I have a consideration:

I usually go to the Beginners & Help forum, so that I can help newbies, I like it. But why I'll do this now? The newbies don't have sMerit to send me if they like my post, right?

Maybe you guys should think in something else in order to solve this and help the community to grow even more.

The newbies didn't have sMerit before, so what?. Can't you help people for free without looking to get something back? So then if a day you have a question or need something we will be able to ask you what we get to help you?
It doesn't hurt to help, you never know if a day you will need help as well, it is what we call a community!
7151  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: January 24, 2018, 11:41:02 PM
The minimum to credit should be 0.00000001 merit. At least with respect to Bitcoin.  Cheesy Cheesy
7152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A good way to monetize Bitcoin in Europe: can you recommend one? on: January 24, 2018, 10:12:53 PM
It's not so easy these days, because as you have mentioned the bitcoin debit card issuer WaveCrest were forced to stop it's business because of violating VISA's rules. That made XAPO and the others to stop the card business and now we're waiting for them to find another card issuer company. If you had a XAPO card, I presume you were verified at XAPO, so why not just send out EUR from XAPO to your bank account? (If you didn't have XAPO card, then it's not an option, but you can search for it if XAPO allows EUR withdrawal to Europe or not, if yes, you can open an account).
You can also check localbitcoins as well, you can find buyers who will use bank transfer to buy bitcoin, but take extra care because of the scammers

Not easy? How it's difficult? The Bitcoin prepaid cards are not the only solution, and there are better solutions than a card.
You are surely not a European citizen otherwise you would not say such thing.

@abioganga can easily join Kraken, sell his coins and request a SEPA transfer. If he requests the SEPA before 11.00 am his bank account will be credited the same day before 07.00 pm. Can't really make it faster and easier. I take Kraken as an example but it's the same with the majority having SEPA.
7153  Other / Meta / Re: Solutions for the spam problem? on: January 24, 2018, 08:30:47 PM
Only a DT would be able to tag a spammer, right? Otherwise, everybody will tag everybody and I smell the "he tagged me with his alt accounts to get a slot in the campaign XYZ!!!" Cheesy
7154  Other / Meta / Re: Solutions for the spam problem? on: January 24, 2018, 06:36:38 PM
Most of the recent complaints are not really about the red trust itself, but because they can't now participate in any signature campaigns.
Giving a "spammer" tag is not going to help. People running the campaigns will just add naturally the rule "No red trust + No orange trust"
Then what? People will continue to complain because they now have a spammer tag which gives the same result of the red trust for their activity here.

Blazed wants to "be fair to everyone", it's of course ok. Do you think it's fair for us to read tons of garbages, reading 15 pages of topics to see there are only 5 good posts in? Why the forum should be fair to people who contaminate the forum. Ok for the members with broken English it's maybe rude to give them a red trust, (maybe a warning and asking to improve their English can be enough) But oh man, all the posts that give nothing more than frustration to the reader, re-using arguments that have been posted 20 times in the same topics, the people who open a thread with the sole purpose to give the opportunity to others (and their alt accounts) to post generic replies

What about closing the topics of the managers who don't care about the posts quality of their participants, to give them a warning/red trust/whatever

Hi LeGaulois. This is a bug that was around before the trading engine was updated and should be fixed at this point. What I would suggest is to clear your cache and refresh the page. Thanks for reaching out.

Ah I see, I had already forgotten about this bug. Well after a F5 refresh It worked as it should be.
Thanks anyway

@minernoob1978
Yep, there is/are still minor(s) bug(s) but It's a lot better compared to the past weeks. I am grateful to have the zero trading fees until the end of the month.
We can save a lot of money, especially while trading a 5 figures number  Grin
7157  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [LIST] Free EU bank accounts that you can be opened directly online on: January 24, 2018, 04:34:07 PM

My experience with this list as a localbitcoins trader.

I sell and buy btc with SEPA transfers. Because I receive from many people and send to many other people banks don't like this pattern and as you know it's impossible to reason with them. They act like fucking robots.

- N26: Used only once for localbitcoins. Blocked when transfering from kraken

- Revolut: Used them for some time. Was able to receive about €20k. Blocked

- Mistertango: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1972805.msg28831503#msg28831503 Blocked

- Leupay: Already received 17k and stopped. Only large transfers so less sender. Still working

- Paysera: Low activity so far. Still working

N26 stopped to accept transaction related to cryptos activities not long ago. I think it's since they partnered with Transferwise (which don't deal with cryptos activities)
As for Revolut and Mistertango I am surprised for so-called crypto friendly services, I am puzzled
As for Leupay and Paysera, it's only a matter of time before they decide to block your account as well.

Are you using only LocalBitcoin for all the SEPA transfers in and out?
7158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HOLD your sh*t on: January 24, 2018, 12:04:20 AM
@OP

The period of anarchists and cyberpunks, rolling for the crypto-anarchism, is gone for a long time now. During the last 12 months (at least) the majority of people who jumped on the cryptos trend was for the sole purpose to speculate on it, this is even more evident when looking at the ICO.

Many people are saying it will fall to $5,000 this year and many others are saying Bitcoin will hit the $60,000 in 2018.
What most people forgot is we still don't know the full effect of the futures contracts.

Look at Bitcoin 1 year ago the value was $1,000 now 12 months later $12,000. Not long ago it was at $20,000. Think about this: if $8,000 is just a correction for Bitcoin, imagine the price it could be soon... The $60,000 is really possible.

I don't know the reason but It looks like they switched from huobi.com to huobi.pro ??

Because I found this on Twitter, See:

https://twitter.com/huobicom/
https://twitter.com/huobicom/status/926016140907819009
https://twitter.com/Huobi_Pro

Have you tried on the .pro website to see if your login details work there?

Otherwise, try to contact someone in their Telegram channel

I knew it would happen soon or later.
It was only a matter of time before Mastercard decides to join the club. I wouldn't be surprised if Visa and Mastercard talked about it with each other, or if an entity pushed them to take such a decision.
So far I think we can say, the game is over for cryptos and prepaid card.
