^  Did you watch the semi final match vs Rush vs Soulkey?  I'm not gonna spoil it to you if you haven't.  But man!  What a greeaaat match up between these two.  Not one was giving up and had to do what they needed to do to win a match and get to the next match.  It was really good.

And if I were you, I'd wait for the commnentaries by Artosis and Tasteless.  It's really worth to wait for a couple of days.  I will post it here once it's up...  Man what a good match.

I hope the next match up with Mini and Effort tomorrow is just as good.  I got Mini.

Bellingham is incredible isn’t he, only 20 years old too. That kid can become the best player in the world, he’s certainly at a club that allows him the opportunity to become the best. Really is thrilling to see him develop into the beast he’s becoming.

Yup, no idea that he's playing at Real Madrid now.  I was hoping to see come back in the EPL someday.  But it looks like he went straight to one of the most likely destinations for the eatablished greats.  Kinda young to be given all that pressure tho.  So let's see how he develops.

And I'm looking at how much BVB snagged him for from Birmingham.  It's 30m EUR.  I guess if BVB pays that high for an 18 year old, unproven player, you know the guy has raw talent.  BVB has always had a knack for finding talent.

Anyway another set of fixtures coming...  Anybody fancy NUFC to win vs PSG?

^  Red Bull's lack of pace in Singapore is just a fluke.  For some reason, they couldn't get their tires warmed up as fast as the other teams which is odd.

Here's the schedule for the Qatar GP.

2023 F1 Qatar GP Schedule
Track:  Lusail International Circuit, Qatar

Oct 6, Friday:  Practice 1  16:30 - 17:30
Oct 6, Friday:  Qualifying  20:00 - 21:00
Oct 7, Saturday:  Sprint Shoot Out 16:00 - 16:45
Oct 7, Saturday:  Sprint  20:30 - 21:30
Oct 8, Sunday:  Race  20:00

^  I was thinking 'meh a sprint race' as I was making the schedule.  I hope Verstappen falters somewhere and makes it a more interesting race.  This is prolly one of the most boring seasons in F1.

Dammit...  See?  I almost forgot to do my damn picks for this pool again.  :/  Good thing I was looking for my SC/BW thread and came across the thread or I would've totally forgotten.

I think we'll be seeing some of these clubs adjust and get a 1 - 1 draws across the board.  Dunno...  Feels like these midweek matches this time around are played by fatigued squads.  I think I'm gonna use my whole 10 points on one bet again.  A draw for United vs Galatasaray.  Grin

A little surprised by Angela Lee decision to retire before the fight for the world title at One Fight Night 14 and even though I may be late with this news the decision to retire before this important event begins is actually very unfortunate because Angela is fighter who can be said to be very good and will be remembered as legend.

It is reported that he will also auction off his world title belt and the trousers he wore at the 2018 world championship and the proceeds from the auction will be given as a donation.
Is anyone here following Angela Lee developments?

I'm not really surprised.  All the pressure was getting to her.  The pressure to win, the people's expectations of her and the pressure of being a mom.  Ooof I think that's a big one.  I mean I'm not a parent yet, but I've seen a couple of ky friends got their GF's preggo right after college and they just changed.  Like they're outlook in life got a lot serious but you could see a part of them wants to get out of it.  Lol.

Anyway I think she'll be back and do one of those coming out of retirement matches and challenge the champ.  She also prolly just needs some time off.

There's nothing much to say except that BTC really was due for a green candle for September.  Grin  It wasn't really a huge candle, just a tad below 4% but prolly be good enough to start something that could gain momentum for October.  Hence the the poll...  Adding a 30k option to the upside.  Wink  I mean who knows...

Anyway, here's the monthly chart.  Looking decent, looking like a higher low...  Dunno.

^  What did Unai Emery do to his squad.  Lmao.  Who would've thunk they'd give Brighton a thrashing.  Cheesy

And I got Fulham vs Chelsea at a nil - nil draw.  But wouldn't be surprised if Fulham wins it 1 - 0.

I think Fulham draw no bet looks decent value in this spot.
How strange things have become when we are talking about a Premier League game and wondering whether Chelsea will be able to defeat Fulham or whether it will be a goalless draw. Personally, I think Chelsea have turned a corner and they will get maximum points at Fulham.

We'll see...  I think they haven't yet til they win a couple of good matches vs the likes of Tottenham or even a slightly lower level squad like Brighton.

And remember guys, this fixture vs Chelsea is important for Fulham as winning it will give more pride for the club.  It's the West London derby, so you know Fulham is gonna bring it.  Not really sure if Chelsea is in the same kind of mindset.

The main event is intruiging as before seeing Dawson win vs Ismagulov, I'd say Bobby Green gets the W.  But after Ismagulov, a couple of questions...  Did Dawson really improve a whole bunch after leaving James Krause or was Ismagulov just declining as a fighter..?  :/  I guess we'll see it next weekend.  Lol.

I'm also looking at a couple of underdogs.  Will watch some of their past matches in MMACore and see how I feel about it after.  Could be value.

^  I think what the book could do is limit how much each person could bet as soon as the match is getting close to end.  Like if in a football match if the game still has around 20 mins to go, they could prolly take in more action than if the match has just 5 mins left.  If the books feel like they're getting taken advantage of, then limit the market to take only up to an amount for each bet the book is comfortable taking.  It's a money game...

But dunno...  That's just me, I'm not sure if everybody would agree tho.

Did you guys watch ONE FC with Stamp Fairtex vs Ham in the main event?  I've seen a couple of matches of Fairfex and in this one vs Ham is prolly the best everybody has seen of her.  I'd like to see her in the UFC at some point.  She could be a little under sized but I think she could fare well vs many fighters there and get in at top 15 at 115.

And been following Smilla Sundell  since winning vs Jackie Buntan...  And again wow.  This girl could be a kick boxer and Muay Thai great.  Can't wait for her next bout.  I hope to see her vs somebody really tough like Anissa Meksen.
754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: September 30, 2023, 12:17:26 PM
Dunno...  It's just from a match making perspective, it doesn't really make sense.  And even if it weren't the case, should Gamrot still fight Oliveira if Oliveira won vs Makachev at 294?  I don't think Gamrot deseves a title shot after the kind of win he had vs Fiziev.  If anything Gaethje is more deserving to get a title shot after winning vs Fiz and vs Poirier.

But what prolly would happen is Gamrot is matched up with Gaethje and the winner gets a title shot.
Of course Gamrot would not get the title shot, he would need to defeat at least one higher-ranked fighter. His match up with Oliveira would be on assumption that Oliveira loses to Islam (like pretty much everyone expects him to). The next title shot should definitely go to Gaethje. He earned it already and will not fight anyone lower-ranked unless it's a big money fight (i.e. Vs. Conor).

And if Oliveira loses vs Makachev, it also doesn't make a whole lot of sense to fight a loser of a title fight and give the winner the shot to the title.  I mean it could happen but it feels iffy to me.

It's perfectly logical. If Oliveira is worth a title shot (against Makhachev) and Gamrot beats Oliveira, then Gamrot is even more worthy to fight for the belt.

I guess thinking more about it...  If Oliveria loses to Makhachev and looking at the way how Gamrot 'won' vs Fiziev which couldn't really be considered a real W from the match makers' POV, it would make sense to match them up for a December bout.  It would also depend on how Oliveira is feeling after his match in a couple of weeks.  If he isn't that beat up or injured then he could have a contract on his way.

~

Dunno...  I feel like Oliveira could give Makhachev a tougher time this time around.  I think it comes down to if Oliveira goes to Dubai like a month before the event and allow himself to adjust to the time zone and to the climate.  I was hearing the last time he was jet lagged as he went just 5 days before the event and he didn't bring his whole camp with him.

And another thing is Volk gave him such a tough match up, I don't think the line they have him on might justify it at the day of the match.  But we'll see...  If Khabib is in his corner it could help a lot.

Charles will have no excuse this time since he has been there for 6 weeks. I wouldn't say there is no potential for upset he certainly has a shot. We'll see his game plan because in the first fight, he wasn't throwing much whereas we know he is an offensive fighter. He was attacking but not hurting Islam. He is more worried about the takedown threat on him which he will be more of a defensive fighter. And with this fight, only one bad move can terribly change the result like that flying knee.

At least Oliveira should get in there in good shape, without the jet lag amd without any physical discomfort that a fighter might feel that could affect his cardio, performance, etc, etc...

Here's the toughest match up Makhachev got in his life.

^  The guys who want further down side are the ones who are prolly mostly sidelined with most of their bankroll still in stables.  I was kinda thinking 25k would've broken down by now after seeing how the US stock market is being pummeled.  But it seems like crypto doesn't care what happens during US session these days.

And speaking of which...  Looks like BTC came alive for no reason.  Lol.  Good to see it tho.  Hopefully it gathers enough momentum to break out 28k around the first couple of weeks of October.  It's due for a long green one for the month.

Just a bit of push though, I thought in the last 8 hours that we could have broken $27k, but it's not meant to be. But I do not think that it's a mental barrier though. Couple of days at the end of the month? who knows?

But I guess almost everyone see this coming, price still moving sideways with no break out run. So we will see what October brings or at least this end of the year. My prediction of around $40k at the end of 2023 might not be hit though.

That time, yup.  But they're still at it now.  Grin  Let's see if these guys keep going til the first couple weeks of October.  And I think with the recent PA sentiment would be a little bit better next month.  Can't wait to see what the next poll will look like.  Wink

Anyway, Fortune Jack has a BTC price prediction game called DeMates...

https://fortunejack.com/promotions/DeMates

I just got into it yesterday and it's at round 5 now.  There are daily cash prices and free spins after each round and there's a grand prize of 2.5k USD at the end for the top guy at the leaderboard.  Like the Majestic 7, it's free to play.

The lines for Mini vs Effort is up at Stake with Effort as the slight favorite which is surprising imho.  Mini is a tad better SC player.

Oh and as for Rush vs Soulkey, just a little tip.  If you're betting on Rush there's a slightly better line at Rollbit.  Wink  Small difference with Stake so I don't think it could be considered a stale line.  Small bet should be safe from getting cancelled.

Dunno...  Sometimes you could see it early in the season.  I for one think this season could be Ten Hag's last with United.  But as for Poch if the bad run continues do you really think the Chelsea brass would risk it and stick with him beyond December?  They could but we've seem it lots of times before.  It gets iffy a couple of weeks before Boxing Day.
I would not be surprised if Ten Hag was no longer manager of Manchester United at the beginning of next season. He seems to have lost large numbers of players in the dressing room. As for Chelsea, even if they go on a bad run they will not dismiss Pochettino because of the compensation they will have to pay him as well as finding a suitable manager. I think he is the man for the job but clearly he needs time.

And no, something is really wrong behind the scenes at Chelsea.  And I don't think their next match is gonna be good for them.  Marco Silva and his boys are smelling the blood in the West London derby.  Lol.
It is possible Fulham will throw everything at Chelsea but we just do not know when the season for Chelsea could turn in their favour.

Mmm...  Don't think it's just a bad run.  Losing vs West Ham, sure.  I'd get it as David Moyes could outfox better managers with better squads.  But then losing against Nottingham Forest, a draw vs Bournemouth and a loss vs Aston Villa at home?  Something's really wrong behind scenes.

And I got Fulham vs Chelsea at a nil - nil draw.  But wouldn't be surprised if Fulham wins it 1 - 0.

I think Fulham draw no bet looks decent value in this spot.

That's not happening as Oliveira is already matched up to fight Makachev in Dubai at UFC 294.

Why not? Gamrot has just fought. Oliveira fights next month. If he loses, the timing would be perfect to match him up with Gamrot, as both will have similar time between the fights.

Charles has to win in UFC 294 for Gaethje to get a rematch vs. Charles and at the same time a title shot.  Afaik Chandler and Poirier could challenge Islam after his fight with Volkanov but these guys are just not up to take the belt. But I'm guessing they all want to get a rematch against Charles.

If Charles loses again, Gamrot will not get a title shot for Chandler and Gaethje deserves it more. Either they chose to move up or mandated to fight Islam.

I don't exactly know what's gonna happen next if Oliveira wins or loses at 294.  But what I think is it wouldn't make sense for Gamrot to fight Oliveira if Oliveira loses at 294.  Dunno...  Maybe the UFC might think it's a good idea from a match and rankings pov.

As for Chandler, coming off of a loss in a banger vs Poirier, I think he'll be matched up against Dariush.  McGregor is done and shouldn't be fighting anymore.

UFC Free Fight:  Makachev vs Olivera 1
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xAKq2yWM3s

^  Lol fluke or will Makachev have a harder time the next time around?

Islam will still win. Charles couldn't rely on those BJJ anymore when it comes to Dagestani wrestling and Islam also has striking.  I don't think its a fluke.

I guess Chandler has to wait for Conor to get a huge payday if that day ever comes. His other option is to just keep fighting, he isn't getting younger but there is no one left above that he hasn't fought yet and lost. He has to fight someone or remain inactive to retire but he couldn't either go WW, those guys are going to crush him. It's a dead end for him unless UFC starts building Gamrot which Chandler can be the first.

It's gonna be so funny when botters start making pull requests from projects that haven't launched yet, thinking that they'll get a better chance to be eligible for future airdrops, which they might.  Cheesy

I will not blame you because your message show that you have never received any speculation airdrop. I will recommend to read some articles how much people got free airdrop just by the method you are making fun. I got more than 3k$ airdrop in 2 years and I think this is enough for me and If i use 500$ again in other networks it is not bad deal.

Yeah cos I'm not an airdrop farmer bud.  I just got interested in airdrops because I got one from Arbitrum for 5k from guess what..?  Organic usage, not from botting and cheating these things from 1000 different accounts.

And all I'm saying is all these sybil guys and botters will start to find more value in making pull requests from unreleased projects instead of onchain activity to do the most mundane things just to get something going.  Didn't mean anything bad by it.  It's just the way it is.
