741  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador to revoke Bitcoin as legal tender? on: June 18, 2021, 10:07:05 PM
If we put one and one together, is it possible that IMF promised to increase grants to El Salvador if they accept and later revoke Bitcoin, in an attempt to de-legitimise Bitcoin?

Why wiuld the IMF publicly disclose such an offer anyway? Also, there’s nothing to be gained on their end even if bitcoin is to disappear tomorrow. Pretty sure they would still give grants and loans to countries that needed it the most, given that these countries would be forced to pay anyway to settle the debt. The IMF doesn’t need extra persuasion from their end to a country to stop using bitcoin. It’s entirely on the country’s discretion to stop these things, not the IMF’s. Also, there are still lots of sources to ask financial aid from, so even if the said organization blackmailed El Salvador, the country would just expose the deal and look for help somewhere else.

I believe, that's only a speculative theory of the OP. It doesn't mean that the situation will or about to happen. We will see in the next coming months or years how El Salvador is performing in terms of their acceptance of bitcoin as legal tender. Because if they are successful or at least improve some aspects, other countries will follow their steps. Because if it has negative impact to their system, it will always show. They can't hide such influence.
742  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What do bitcoin ATMs do with your phone number? on: June 17, 2021, 11:44:40 PM
In my country they're legally obliged to collect a bunch of information, including phone numbers.

I'd imagine rules around the world to be somewhat similar. Bitcoin ATMs themselves would want as little information as they want given that the more information required of them, the more costs of compliance are.

So long as you are using a reputable service, they won't do anything with your phone number. They have far more to lose in reputation and potentially their whole remittance licence than a measly few hundred dollars they can make by selling your info.

Also, if you feel that someone is contacting you with strange proposal, just ignore it and don't entertain, if in case your number is compromised. Don't believe too-good-to-be-true offers because high likely that it is a scam. Because if these bitcoin ATMs will somehow use the numbers of their clients for other purposes, I don't think their business will thrive if they will receive customers' complaints.
743  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ]: Fury vs Wilder III - THE TRILOGY IS BACK ON !!! on: June 17, 2021, 09:24:38 PM

Unless if he cant accept again such defeat then for sure this one will go to mental hospital.  Cheesy

Lol, he would not, he can't enjoy his money if he will end up in the hospital.

What we read or hear online might not reflect his real status in life regarding this match-up, you know, these people are smart, they are good in creating some buzz to sell their fights, let's calm down and just enjoy this trilogy, whoever we are backing.

I'm backing Fury, I have a change of heart as Wilder is not a disciplined fighter and not so professional, he allows his emotion too much to dictate his future so I'm not trusting him on that. Fury will win and that's the end of the story.

Soon, we will still see a Fury vs Joshua fight, as it gets longer, more people are getting their vaccine which makes it possible to gain their target crowd, a good idea on delaying the fight as they could make more money as life slowly getting back to normal.

Maybe that's the reason of delay as the later they will schedule the fight, the more audience they can accommodate in the arena. Which is good for the gate revenue. Am on Fury also on this one. If Wilder will lose this fight, he should accept it and not create any conspiracy theories to why he lost.
744  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎣 BUSTAFISH.COM|⚡Free BTC Every Hour⚡| Play For Fun Or Gamble! 🎣 on: June 16, 2021, 11:21:56 PM
I made an account and taking a look around. Chat seems to be broken, keeps saying login to chat when I am 100% logged in currently. Let's me make bets with the faucet money but no chat.

Finally got chat to work.

Chat does not work for me, there is indeed a message from you on chat so I wonder how could you send the message in chat? There is also no one is playing currently, I thought this is the reason why the chat is empty but seems that there is something wrong with the chat.

If you are refering to https://bustafish.com/stats , then those was tests before site was up, to test the withdrawl part, made by me.

Dont you think that it is better if you reset the stats so the page will show real stats only?

Yes, he does need to reset his stats. Because if you look at it, it is showing generated 5 minutes ago. And the stats have pending withdrawals, 0 deposits. This is why some people are mistakenly concluding about those stats. Why not remove those stats if he can't publish the real-time figures? It will just mislead other people.
745  Economy / Economics / Re: Money and happiness. on: June 16, 2021, 10:19:16 PM
You cannot buy happiness but you can use money to be at a better type of living which won't put you at distress in life. We've got several descriptions about being happy and relating it to money and it varies.
But for me, I'll be happy if I'm living financially free and that's what I want. I've got more time to myself and family and that's the description for me of happiness. Being able to enjoy life with them and at the same time, I'm already out of the rat race.
It's definitely a good feeling if you are financially stable and enjoying the good company together with your family. But only few people have achieved this goal because the truth is most of us have different issues about money and family.

Happiness does not only come from finances because even poor people who don't have good finances are still feeling happy despite of their status in life. So i must say, happiness is built within. If you can be happy with small things around, then there's no need for you to earn huge amount of money. It's a matter of satisfaction and contentment even in small things.

This is very true. Happiness is a state of mind where it depends largely on the person himself. He may not have the riches, but he is already contented with his life and be happy with whatever he has. But for some, even if they have enough money, they are not happy with it because they want more. But it is always better to be financially stable so you are not always in stress where to get money even for your basic needs. It is hard to be happy if you don't know where to get your next meal for your family.
746  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: June 15, 2021, 11:46:50 PM
By the way, I just wanted to know if how much the minimum amount before you can execute a withdraw?
The minimum withdrawal amount is 30,000 satoshi.

You need to wager first or what?
No, there is no wagering requirement.
As long as you haven't abused the faucet (e.g. using multiple accounts), you should be able to withdraw the fund you have won via faucet.
The problem is that it takes a very long time to reach the minimum withdrawal amount.

You can also use those free satoshis to play and who knows, you might get lucky and increase your satoshis to reach the min withdrawal requirement. You can also use those reward points earned to redeem like  100% free btc bonus or other rewards points prizes.

But wondering, what are the next activities to boost the value of the FUN token? It keeps on going down.
747  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you limit your gambling time? on: June 15, 2021, 11:11:14 PM
~snip~

It's true, a strategy is necessary in any thing related to finances... Whether it's playing gambling, trading the exchange, or paying off a loan...
All require a careful plan, let alone related to your funds. Financial management time constraints, emotional management is absolutely necessary. Don't let you lose all your money because you can't manage all that. In addition, do not let you become a gambling maniac, because it can make all your assets run out and may make life miserable.

This is why I only gamble from time to time, when I feel I just need a break. But not to the point that I will do it regularly. And I will stop playing when I see that I am already consuming a lot of time on my game. I am not a regular gambler, so I can easily break the habit of playing. People should know their goals before even entering this game, otherwise, it is easy to lose yourself when you are already deep in your game.
748  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what do you think about this Bitcoin? on: June 15, 2021, 09:45:16 PM
-
Hmmm, but what I am seeing there is not Bitcoin except one. There's one there that's clearly written Bitcoin, and that's the real Bitcoin, other ones I am seeing there are not Bitcoin. Other ones are BNB, BSC, and Ethereum and they are different coins. If what you're sending is Bitcoin, then you're going to choose that there, it's clearly written.

And what do you mean by them being legal? Bitcoin is not owned by anyone, it is decentralized. Same thing with Ethereum, it is not owned, although they have founders (Satoshi Nakamoto and Vitalik, etc) but that doesn't mean the founders are the owners. The way these things work is totally different. And then as for being legal and illegal, it's all about the country you live in and whether the government allows it or not. But whether legal or illegal, you can still have access to it.

Since he mentioned that it has been quite a while that he's been into crypto, high likely that he doesn't know that there are different networks that are now accommodating BTC. These networks let you choose where you want your btc sent, if you want to avoid high fees. But you need to make sure that you know the difference of dealing with these different networks. If it is not clear with you, better stick to the original BTC network, in this case - BTC. It is legal of course having different networks, it is up to you how you will use them to your advantage.
749  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 World’s Strongest Man on: June 15, 2021, 01:37:48 PM
It doesn't look like that famous tbh. I've seen a few clips here and there, but that's about it. I was intrigued back then though, which is why I watched a few more clips but then left it alone since it kind of bored me out after 10-12 clips. Maybe if the audience gets a bit more bigger, crypto sportsbook would add it officially, but now? Nah. Not to mention that it still needs to guarantee that everything is fair and whatnot so that bets made wouldn't be influenced by anything except the players, in this case, their strength.

The market is not that big why it is understandable that crypto bookies will not be interested at the moment. But if in the future, one name from this sports will make big noise and attract media attention and possible bettors, they may list this event. For now, I believe, it is more on fiat-sportsbooks that will have this event. Just like many other sports, like in boxing, if the fight is not that big, they won't list it.
750  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 💎[ANN] Graphene [GFN] 100,000+ TPS💎Sharding • CASPER • Golang • eWASM • dAPPs on: June 14, 2021, 11:20:31 PM
Here are new details regarding the last two snapshoots to receive the Graphene airdrop, the team has decided not to communicate a precise date but within a time frame.
Excellent decision that protects and supports holders rather than speculators:
https://getgraphene.medium.com/snapshot-5-6-information-31c78103b18a
-

Nice move! Because I noticed that for the past airdrops, the price went up just before the snapshot, and goes down once it is over. So with the use of random generator to select the last 2 snapshots, no one has a clue when you will get the snapshot. And they don't have time to buy or sell their coins, which will leave those holders just to keep holding on these time periods and for those who want to get the airdrop, they will buy and keep their coins within this timeframe. However, after this period, we may expect a downward movement again. Is the team thinking of other ways how to prevent such scenario?
751  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Prayer and gambling. on: June 14, 2021, 10:03:13 PM
Gambling and prayers has got no part to themselves. As a religious person, Christianity to be precise, gambling is seen as a vice. At most in this century and as such, there is no way there could be gods and man influence to what doesn't agree.
Besides, how can god be partial to favour a side to a game of fairness because, that's what games are often about, fairness. 2 or more different sides contesting amongst themselves over whom is whom or what is what or over some staked price and as a gambler, your just lucky to partake in it and earn some cash if you can depending on how you know the game. Thoyhh sometimes, how well you know the game just doesn't apply.

It is more on person's religious beliefs why they are associating the prayer to their gambling habits. Prayer has nothing to do with the outcome of your games. If all will pray hard, will your "God" really influence the results? I don't think so. Most gambling games are based on luck and not from any form of prayer.  I guess, people are just using their own prayers to attract positive vibes but relying on prayer to win? That's not likely to happen.
752  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Naoya Inoue vs Michael Dasmarinas (No date yet) on: June 14, 2021, 03:31:15 PM
If Dasmarinas will not be aggressive, then he will only be fighting to survive, it's not good IMO because it's not fun. An aggressive fighter will always go for a KO but if they feel their opponent is engaging and could hit a punch that would also KO them, they'll be careful, one that will be intimidated in the ring will likely lose, and Inoue has very high confidence since he is a champion, therefore Dasmarinas has to match that.

I'm very sure that Dasmarinas will give his all in this fight as this is the biggest fight so far in his career and if he could pull an upset, money fights would be pouring in. This is once in a lifetime opportunity so he can't afford to fight just to survive, his trainers knew that well also so they would push him to defeat the Monster which is one tough hill to climb.

Well, we would have 3 Filipino champions.

Donaire, Inoue, and Dasmarinas, that would be awesome, but are we going to see them fight against each other if that will happen?

John Riel Reponte Casimero - World Boxing Organisation World Bantam Title
https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/421916

Nonito Gonzales Donaire Jr. - World Boxing Council World Bantam Title
https://boxrec.com/en/title/6/Bantamweight

Naoya Inoue - World Boxing Association Super World Bantam Title
International Boxing Federation World Bantam Title
https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/628407

Inoue is a Japanese professional boxer not a Filipino - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naoya_Inoue. Maybe, you want to include Manny Pacquiao instead. Don't know where you are coming from why you include Inoue in the line-up of Filipino Boxers?

And still, top sportsbooks here don't have this match yet. Maybe a day or two before the event, they will list this Inoue-Dasmarinas fight.
753  Other / Off-topic / Re: Slapping Tournament on: June 13, 2021, 11:35:46 PM

True, I can remember well how they endured the pain and shock after the hard slap that knocked them down. This is the craziest sport I've seen so far on Facebook. Somehow people were eager to see and cheer after one of the opponent KO because of the strong slap. Obviously this is entertainment and it's much more stressful than arm wrestling.

I've never been slapped in my life but after watching this slapping tournament I will avoid getting slapped, it's gaining ground in social media we might see this in the mainstream tournament, honestly, the first time I watched this event I was just curious but I end up watching more of this, it's good that there are no participants that spit blood, I think this is good for two people who hate each other.

But the problem here, is that if you received the slap in wrong part of your face, you will be prone to potential bran injury. So I think, this is a dangerous sports for me, but at the same time a fun one to watch. For those players that will participate on this event, they should know the potential risks that they may be facing with. Because it is not a joke having brain injury.
754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Naoya Inoue vs Michael Dasmarinas June 19 on: June 13, 2021, 09:44:27 PM
1 week to go ,..

Hey Filipino Boxing fans , have you already find yourself betting appropriately?
Im excited to witness this fight. If Dasmarinas defeat Inoue, this will be a big victory for him. A chance as well to become a popular boxer like Pacquiao and Donaire.

Though we know its not going to be easy since Inoue is a good boxer and still undefeated.

Just few days left before this big fight, another recognition for Filipinos if ever.

Another big win, this one is even bigger for the Filipino boxers as Dasmarinas is not known in the world, but beating Inoue will make him very popular and he will get big fights going forward, who knows, he can also be signed by MP promotion if he is not under on Manny yet.
Beating up a undefeated boxer boxer or simply in the top rank would really make Dasmarinas would open possible new opportunities into his career
but this one wont really be simple and a very tough wall to break but doesnt mean that is impossible to happen.
Upset is high likely and there are lots of supports to Dasmarinas by Filipinos and the odds arent bad either.
Im putting some bets on Filipino fighter and wish that there are some turn of events.

That's a ticket on becoming a millionaire, most of the boxers in the Philipines came from a poor family, so being a champion would certainly change their life in the future that is why they are working hard, though his purse is little in this fight, but he can build himself to succeed and get big fights in the future.

Just like Casimero, look at him now, he started small and now he is beating champions to become a champion.

I guess, that's one advantage of some Filipino fighters, the motivation to achieve their dreams, not only for him but for his whole family. So they have dedication and perseverance to attain such ambition. But Inoue is a tough boxer to defeat with. If in case, this will be an upset, Dasmarinas will rise his boxing status and Inoue may want to fight again with Donaire. This will be an interesting fight to look forward to.
755  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who were the morons that bought 60k bitcoin? on: June 13, 2021, 09:09:02 PM
I'm just curious.... Or didn't sell 60k bitcoin? or 50k or 40k

we all gotta learn our lessons Smiley

Love to see this kind of thread in 2021, and then fast forward 2024 or 2028, we may all be laughing and yeah, we did learn our lessons, by not selling our bitcoin and keep on buying because of the great opportunity we have right now.

And for those who bought at $60k and didn't sell, congrats for holding and keep doing it for the next two halvings and then we can talk.  Grin

We can't judge them to be morons, because we don't know the future. They may have bought at ATH this year, but who knows, if they will hold and just wait for few years, the price will be doubled or more? So don't talk as if that's the ultimate ATH of bitcoin. Because we never know what the future holds. And they may be the one who will end up laughing when the price goes up in the next coming years.
756  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why risk management is so important for Every Trader. on: June 13, 2021, 07:46:24 PM
In simple words, minimize your losses then you will win big. No one can keep their profit ratio 100% but they can keep it higher by reducing the risky decision and also can enable stop loss to preserve from sudden market dump. And if you are a day trader then just got for very small profit margin and keep doing it multiple times as much as you can.

This is where most newbies in crypto failed to see. They thought, once they enter in this market, it is easy peasy and they can easily gain profit and get rich. It is the same like any other investments, risk management is vital in order for you to understand better the market and so to prevent unnecessary huge losses. Though the market movement in crypto is very fast, you can identify factors that may help you understand specific coins such as following their development updates, actual accomplishment in their roadmap, their performance of their app, how they respond to their customer's feedback and others.
757  Economy / Economics / Re: Are you investing in crypto currency alone? on: June 12, 2021, 11:23:00 PM
Aside from crypto investments, I have plans to invest in real-estate very soon. This I believe, is a good one to invest with because thru time, it increases its value. I think it is not good to only invest in crypto because of its high risk in nature. Better invest also in tangible assets like gold or real property. Remember the simple rule in investments - diversify your portfolio. Don't put all your eggs in one basket.
758  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto-Casinos and KYC on: June 12, 2021, 09:55:49 PM
I don't see any difference in using an exchange and casino, if the exchange asks for KYC, then casinos should be treated the same as long as they are both regulated.

I have to disagree. Although in general, we are risking money at both, activities in exchanges and casinos are different so I can't consider the latter should also be mandated by KYC. Let the casinos be regulated but not too much. Crypto-gamblers should still feel the advantage of playing in a crypto-casino. No difference when you played at fiat casinos if that will be the case.

I'd rather comply with KYC on exchanges compare to gambling sites. They shouldn't have the same approach. Even if my favorite gambling site will ask its users for KYC, no way. There are lots of options to choose from.
I understand the reason why KYC was introduced in the crypto casino site and exchange site you know that the above user was absolutely right because crypto gamblers does feel the advantage of playing anonymously before people abuse the advantage which is what lead to the birth of KYC in the crypto scheme and the last time I check no casino will operate outside their master license holder rules.
If your favorite casino doesn't ask for KYC now, I can guarantee you that they will at some point when the time comes.

And if you are a high roller, expect that at some point the casino may require you to complete the KYC requirements. But if you are just a small timer, better stick to reputable sites here that don't require KYC yet. Whereas, some casinos are already requiring KYC because as you said, that's what their license is asking them to implement. But of course, it is still good to play on casinos that don't require KYC, just abide their rules and I don't think they will flag your account.
759  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin ever become a widely adopted global payment solution? on: June 12, 2021, 08:57:49 PM
Yes bitcoin will definitely be become a widely adopted payment solution, some countries have started legalizing bitcoin already and lot's of companies have started accepting bitcoin as there payment methods and lot's of financial institutions have been adopting bitcoin and more people are beginning to know more about bitcoin which is very good I believe is just matter of time bitcoin will become widely accepted global payment solution.

Maybe, at the moment, a lot of crypto users are treating bitcoin as a store of value but once the volatility of its price calms down or stabilized in the market, many people will use this in the payment system. As we are avoiding the handling of cash as much as possible owed to this pandemic, bitcoin, is also a very good alternative option for payment. This is the reason why some merchants started to include this in their system. It will take time to adopt it in massive scale but we are already heading into that direction.
760  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don't you think Bitcoin will die over the summer? on: June 11, 2021, 11:55:53 PM
It is ridiculous to hear, become dead this summer? we're almost done with the summer and as we can see Bitcoin prices are still above $30k. I think that was enough to prove that you are wrong.

Recently, the price of bitcoin has dropped by almost 1/3.  The beginning of May is 58 thousand, now it is already 38 thousand. The chart is steadily falling down.  Will Bitcoin die in the summer? Cheesy
you talk about the death of Bitcoin? hey wake up and look in the mirror, are you still healthy?
think good mate, look at the news, a lot of bitcoin adoption has taken place, and you think bitcoin is going to die?
it can't happen, big countries alone will not be able to destroy Bitcoin, because its decentralized nature makes Bitcoin always alive
Yeah, I don't know what OP is talking about, or he just dreaming thinking of the dead and he just saw Bitcoin beside him.

Anyway, he absolutely doesn't know about Bitcoin and that is how he responded to the current situation. Some people (and even before) had to think negatively once seeing the market is declining.

Seems that he is very new in this market. I don't know what the OP is expecting here. But 30k+ level has only been attained this year. And we are somewhat going up a lil bit. Though the 40k resistance is still here. I guess, a lot of newcomers are thinking that bitcoin is about to go down just because their expectation has not been met. And also, how many times have been these people are speculating that bitcoin will be dead and still, we are here after more than a decade of existence?
