781  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: withdrawed my bitcoins to send adress :( on: February 14, 2014, 07:03:40 AM
Hello everybody,

I think i made a terrible mistake by withdrawing my money (on BTC-E) to my send adress instead of my request adress in my Multibit wallet.
Or isnt this so terrible after all?

Can somebody inform me what will happen with my bitcoins. Cry

The "send address" is simply an address you've previously sent Bitcoins to with Multibit. You should try to remember who it belongs to and contact them.

Exactly.

If you can't contact the owner of that address, or he/she refuse to send it back, you will probably lose your bitcoin forever...
782  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Lost BTC via a piggy back transaction on: February 14, 2014, 07:02:15 AM
Thanks for the reply.  If it is a change address then my balance would not be zero?  Also the other transaction was outgoing not incoming.

Say, if you have a piece of 10btc, and want to send 5btc to Amy.
The tx you created would be:
(1) Input = that 10btc
(2) Output 1 = 5btc to Amy
(3) Output 2 = 5btc to your change address

No worries, you wallet would calculate your balance correctly.
Different wallets have different ways to show the change addresses.

For example, if you are using bitcoin-qt, you will not be able to "see" your change address in your receive tab.
783  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: New 'blocks' folder... duplicate files? on: February 14, 2014, 06:57:05 AM
hi, you may try DuplicateFilesDeleter to remove your duplicate files, it works very well and remove duplicate files quickly.

hmmm....you just necro'ed an old thread....
784  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Weird unconfirmed (3 days) transactions appearing in my wallet on: February 14, 2014, 06:50:55 AM
For the past few days, someone (from bitwars) keep spamming  the network by sending tons of 1-satoshi outputs to random addresses, with way below min fee.

Such tx will never be included in a block, and now all nodes have already dropped the tx and thus you can't find it on bc.i anymore.
785  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Someone please help!!!! on: February 14, 2014, 06:42:18 AM

PLEASE, PLEASE just donate bitcoin to me at: 18aNxNCIamfullofshitfoAAS9gd8E6Co14PyUqgsYH. Why? Because i would hope that some of you that read this will save some money and not get wrapped up in a scam. You are better off just buying bitcoin and holding it. STOP WASTING MONEY AND ELECTRICITY!

AGAIN, donate to: 18aNxNCIamfullofshit1foAAS9gd8E6Co14PyUqgsYH ............my college education depends on it. THANKS!

The price is falling quick.... I can't wait till I can buy more at $100.

Id love to buy more at $100

I hate to be the one to say I told you so........hit 500 at 3am.  Don't get me wrong I've been interested in bitcoin for a while,  and would love to get some,  but even at 500 it's still too expensive.  I will consider buying a small amount at 500,  just to be in the game a bit,  but realistically I wouldn't be dumping my savings or anything more than I would take with me to vegas for that matter.  Because of the dramatic rise to 1200 with nothing not more than money makers making that happen due to the small about of existing coins.

The concept is simple but up all the coins cheap,  drive the price up,  sell when all the "consumer" buyers are saying it's gunna go to 10000,  or a million.  No that they have sold all the bit coins they have for huge profits,  the rest of you are holding still holding the bag.  Only time will tell,  but with no security getting fiat in or out of bitcoin.  People are going to stop buy and start selling.

I hate to say it,  but I see the price below 500 this week,  and not bouncing back to 1000 for a very, very long time.

 Roll Eyes

lol, seems like OP get a big fan Smiley
786  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Guide? on: February 14, 2014, 06:40:35 AM
I'm lazy to dig and read and would be really greatful for a useful link or two.

Particularly interested in CPU mining with the use of several PCs which are not exactly very powerful.

Thanks for any hint.

You can find a list of CPU-only coins here.
FYR: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=379601.0

You can find details of those coins and the way to mine them with those links.
787  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Guide? on: February 14, 2014, 06:34:51 AM
Invest like 6k-10k $  and you can get some BTC

Wow. Thats alot haha . would earn your spendings back?
[/quote]

Probably not, if you are mining btc.
It would be better to build a GPU rig to mine scrypt-based altcoins.
788  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Its time to switch from CEX.IO? on: February 14, 2014, 06:30:45 AM
The positive is that you don't have to pay for electricity, deal with the heat output, space restrictions, etc

Indeed, cex.io does charge you hosting, electricity and repair costs.

789  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Is pool mining really more profitable? on: February 14, 2014, 06:26:36 AM
The overall payout for both over a long period is similar.
Not if you have so little hashrate that you mine a block or less per week while the difficulty goes up. Basically, as long as you can predict that difficulty will increase, you need to reduce your variance so that you usually get close to your expected payout over a two week period. Otherwise, you might find yourself taking three weeks to find a block that met the last difficulty level, but not the current (higher) difficulty, wasting your potential to make more at the lower difficulty.

Well, statistically speaking, the expected payout is always a bit higher with solo-mining (with no pool fee), but the variance will be very high as you may only be able to find a block for several weeks, months and even years (depending on your hashrate).

794  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Could someone help me test my wallet ? on: February 14, 2014, 06:09:21 AM
having trouble sending it back  Huh says error "u message TX rejected u code 22?

It happens because you are trying to send 100 satoshi out.
You will probably need to play with raw tx if you want to create tx with outputs <5430 satoshi.
795  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Sent bitcoins not showing in blockchain, already been 8hour.. how come? Help pls on: February 14, 2014, 06:03:33 AM
i think its because of malleability attack ... this is the statment from bitcoinfoundation,

https://bitcoinfoundation.org/blog/?p=422

so maybe this issue hits me? = = any guidance? ...

Don't think it is related at all.
Even if the tx id is altered and the malled transaction is relayed, you should still be able to find your original tx (and you can find one more malled transaction).

Hello OP
How much is it possible to win ?

their faucet pays out 999 satoshis every 10 minutes for you to try your luck.
