801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]DAOLAUNCH - New standard DeFi fundraising platform. on: May 30, 2021, 12:19:13 PM
This is my first time hearing the IBO (Initial BuyBack Offering) type program. I don't know exactly how it works but if you can be successful in this kind of venture, why not? It may be easy for you to attract potential projects that will use your platform but the harder challenge is to get investors that will trust the project that you will manage.
802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: American convenience store chain now accepts btc, etc, litecoin dogecoin payment on: May 30, 2021, 11:00:13 AM
Certainly, if doge will be included in the crypto list as part of payment method of these merchants, it will further strengthen its presence in the market. Not just because Elon is supporting this old meme coin, but merchants or shops will aid in its adoption among crypto users. This will be a very good alternative to bitcoin if you want economical fees. More than likely, more merchants will follow this kind of step towards accepting crypto in their payment system. Whereas, China and Israel are busy banning bitcoin or crypto in their system.
803  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What effect does a growing number of altcoins have on Bitcoin on: May 30, 2021, 01:45:56 AM
More and more new altcoins have sprung up, making investors increasingly spread to several altcoins. However, some of the altcoin procles that have been developed are only made to enrich themselves. but there are some new projects that do have good potential and innovation and can be useful for cryptocurrency.
Some scammers also take advantage of this opportunity to create scam projects that will trap many investors, therefore they must be careful and always do research to follow new projects.

The safest altcoin investment is investing in altcoins that are in the top 20 of CMC.

Not all, I believe. Just like doge, which is already in top 10. Do you think you can consider doge as safe alt investment? Though it is an old alt, but the increase of its price is highly dependent on Elon Musk, which is not a very sustainable one. Other than bitcoin, better invest in alts that have solid use case in the market like ETH. This will give them reason to maintain their market as well as users that will actually use their network. Without users, basically, the platform will go dead.
And these alts, will only show the true value of bitcoin. Because once the alt is abandoned by their respective devs, they will just go back to bitcoin again.
804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EGC] EverGreenCoin® | 7% PoS | 501c3 Foundation | Android & Web | PoE on: May 29, 2021, 11:50:47 PM
Greetings Greenies!

Here is the link to today's EverGreenCoin meeting: https://meet.google.com/psv-ybcs-wip

All are welcome. We'll be in the meeting for a couple hours, please feel invited to stop by when convenient.

Have a good weekend everyone and a safe & happy Memorial Day weekend to our friends here in the States.

Will this be a hint that EGC will again have active market? Because right now, in CMC, EGC's market data is untracked, and you can't find also in coingecko. This is an old alt, so hopefully, you can revive this old coin and be useful to some crypto users? Where are you planning to list this coin and do you have the timeframe for that?
805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All the crypto industry is running by shills on: May 29, 2021, 11:36:15 PM
Firs rule here is:

DYOR (Do Your Own Research).

Don't rely on twitter, youtube or any other social media promoting or shilling coins, because it is obvious that these people behind have some narratives that will benefit them, or maybe they are paid shills, just like in this community. Or better, don't invest on any shitcoins, because it's a haven of pump and dump groups, trading signal groups and others that will suckered money from noob investors.

Exactly! You can always watch or read any promotional materials, but if you are a diligent user, you will find time to search the facts. Especially if you are investing some funds to the project. Look for actual developments and see if they are delivering their objectives. Most of these YT people are just being paid to give positive feedback. Not really a fan of those promoters. Better research on your own and assess the actual capability of the platform.
806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Passive income on: May 29, 2021, 10:44:16 PM
Staking can probably be an effective way to earn passive income from a certain coin but it would require a lot of time and proper timing before you csn enjoy the ease of having a passive income. There might be a lot of good coins in the market but there are only few that is effective for staking. If ever you do not want to feel the urge of wanting more profit from a holding, staking is not advisable. Long term holding would be the better way for you to gain massive profit from a certain coin.

If you are advising to use the long-term holding option, then, why not while holding, stake your coins? At least, while waiting for the right time to sell, you are still earning from your coins. Also, stake it in a reputable platform like Binance. Because at least your funds are secure with their insurance in that platform. Or if you don't want to stake, you can also opt for flexible savings in binance, so you can redeem it anytime you want. Because with locked staking under binance, you will choose what terms you want - 15/30/60 days of holding.
807  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another Horrible day in History of Bitcoin on: May 29, 2021, 10:00:06 PM
It's a bad day for you, a good day for whales, and holders will have to wait a little longer. It's not a novel scenario in the crypto world. Remember, bitcoin has been around for almost a decade; how long do you think this phenomenon has existed in the crypto market since its inception? This quick loss can only be described as a poor day by weak hands and newcomers to crypto.

It really depends on what perspectives you have during this crash. If you are a whale and believe that bitcoin has a good future, it is indeed a good time to accumulate more coins. Also, for those who are waiting for bitcoin to go down so they can buy more. But if you are just a small timer and you bought it above 50k and you put your life's savings on it, and wanting to cash out very soon, definitely, this is the bad day for you. But if you believe that the market will recover and you can wait, better hold your coins and just cash out when the market is going up again, or at least cut your losses if you are not ready in this market.
808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you get your news about Crypto? on: May 28, 2021, 11:54:19 PM
Bitcointalk is the largest cryptocurrency forum, so if you want to find information about a certain cryptocurrency, it's best to search here.
Besides getting information from bitcointalk I also seek information from various media sites like FB and TW.

This is what I first think when the OP asked about news of cryptocurrencies. The announcements section - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=159.0 alone, along with its child board - Tokens (Altcoins) - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=240.0, will give you specific updates for each coin, which, you can never get from other websites. If you want to follow a specific coin, just find their thread and they will give a very good insight on what's going on with their respective project.
809  Economy / Economics / Re: Understanding a bear market. on: May 28, 2021, 11:18:14 PM
If you study the market and cryptocurrency, it is normal for it to undergo a bearish market.

You just need to understand that market is volatile and there are other cryptocurrencies which are profitable than bitcoin.

Some people are just holding until they see the market go bullish again but we don't know when that will happen.
Even if people do understand that the market enters the bear market, they will still do the same thing because not everyone has a strong hands when it comes to hodling and waiting for the bear market to end.

There are different perspectives in terms of keeping your assets and wait for the situation to go back,

people thinks differently, and the most usually failed and make ahuge mistakes of selling out with huge losses

as they are losing faith with their decisions in taking their money to this investment venue.

Or better yet, every crypto holder has their own necessities. We can't say, someone has weak hands if he needs to sell his portfolio because of urgent financial matters. Does he need to hold his portfolio even if we say he badly needed the cash? I don't think so. So with varying needs of every holder, they will have different approach on holding their coins. But if you can hold and you have no urgency, that would be better. At least, you can think of ways how to cut losses or gain profits.
810  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Liquifi - digital asset exchange on: May 28, 2021, 09:37:38 PM
Is that the listing on Pancakeswap is on progress? I see the listing on coinmarketcap was done by them https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/liquifi/
I'm curious how long it will take for this decentralized exchange to be listed on coinmarketcap too,

Listing is not a problem here but how to attract traders on their platform. They can easily submit their application about the listing on that site but getting the interest and trust from users is another thing. They have tough competitors and they need to offer a valuable service in order for them to attract these traders. Also, what assurance that they will deliver their promises to its users? They need to build their reputation as well.
811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Safecrex Exchange [ANN] on: May 27, 2021, 11:12:56 PM
The volume of even popular coins are almost non-existent. How are you going to improve your trading liquidity? Do you have financial backers that can help you on this venture? Because if you will rely from traders alone, I don't think you can attract them. Because once they see the movement on your trading platform, I don't think they will be encourage to send their funds to your exchange. This is the challenge of a young exchange though.
812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: End of memecoin season by Vitalik Buterin or not? on: May 26, 2021, 10:41:03 PM
It seems to me that everything will depend on the direction of the global trend.

What did vitalik do? He sold his meme coins that he got from the developers. What prevents you from creating a new meme coin and not giving anything to vitalik?
Nothing.

What prevents meme coin from showing crazy xx on a growing trend?
Nothing.

Therefore, if the trend is bullish, nothing will change, just no more free coins will be sent to vitalik.

And he is very clear with that as well, he said that instead of sending it to him, better send it to others who badly need the funds. Maybe those devs that sent him those large amounts, didn't expect that Vitalik will send those tokens to charity. Usually, it will just stay on his wallet. And because those tokens got popular in the market, he took the advantage of giving it to charity instead of pocketing it on his own. I really appreciate about this move. I hope those meme tokens will stop sending those tokens and just do their own business.
813  Economy / Speculation / Re: From trader become holder because the market is crashing on: May 25, 2021, 11:50:26 PM
I don’t think it will be a disaster, only for those who went into debt and bought bitcoin at 50-60 thousand, at the peak. This was the case before, when the peak of bitkion was 20 thousand.
In addition, there are several options for the development of events, either crypto winter or growth, everything depends on how bitcoin behaves now.
You know this is the problem of most people because once they've heard or seen that Bitcoin is in bull run they just dive in without knowing what is happening in the market. I guess they never look at the chart since the price of Bitcoin from last year was cheap enough compared to the price when it touches the ATH.

FUDs are everywhere so I guess there's no way they wanted Bitcoin to break that $64k resistance. Plus the chart is actually telling that we will be soon going to bear if this downfall and FUD continue. The only reason it holds is $30k is quite a strong support here but once it's break we will gonna see a massive dump again and we might be back to the price like last year.

And that will cause some bitcoin or crypto haters, for those new users who bought at around 50-60k. They thought that it will continue to increase and get their huge profits. It may increase again, but reaching the 50-60k level may take time. It is holding the 30k price range because of the adoption that we have now. There are so many institutions that are already involved as well as known individuals that keep on buying and holding btc. Unlike in previous years, the adoption today is quite stronger.
814  Economy / Speculation / Re: The market has bounced - unexpected on: May 25, 2021, 11:25:45 PM
Bouncing back will always happen in cryptomarket especially that whales will always buy and that triggers the sign of reversal, don’t feel bad if you miss the opportunity at least you didn’t lose that much when the market dumps and of course, there’s always another dump market along the road just watch the market closely, we don’t know the bottom yet.

People always tend to regret for something that they should have done. But during that dip, they were scared of buying because for the fear that the market will continue to decline. But I believe, the adoption today is very different, so it can easily bounce back if there are good news that will pop up from time to time. Maybe, it is not too late, you can still buy today if you want, because, it may increase again. And then, when that happens, people will say again, they should have bought at this time.
815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH and BSC on: May 25, 2021, 10:57:31 PM
Competitor of Ethereum not only BSC, in the market now there are alot of better smart contract platform that has low fee and high TPS.  I dont know when gas fee of Ethereum will reduce, and since this problem does not fix yet, I prefer to use other one because I dont want to pay transaction fee above 3% of my balance. Not only BSC have low fee transaction but others  like Solana and Matic also.
True, TRON and XRP also have low fees on each transaction, but why are neither platforms claiming to be ETH competitors, even though they have also been in the crypto space for so long? is it because there are few users or something else that they are not said to be ETH competitors.

Maybe they are catering different clients here. But I do agree that TRX and XRP have low fees as compared to ETH. I actually use either of them for transfer purposes in between exchanges. But my first choice is always TRX as they are really cheap and fast. Hopefully, projects will consider them to create their projects under these networks. Or maybe, ETH and BSC are just popular these days.
816  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC went up %14 and ETH %23 almost overnight! What pre-indicators were there? on: May 24, 2021, 11:46:39 PM
There’s a new tweet mate says that Elon made a contact on US based mining companies and talks about renewable energy on mining Bitcoin and many whales share their experience on buying cheaper bitcoin, I see this as the main reason of the current pump. The FUD is gone and now we are hearing a good news, we might see the price of Bitcoin on a good up trend in the coming days, congrats to those who always bought at the dip.

I believe that is really one of the major factors why the price is going up. Positive news regarding bitcoin mining, and that involved Elon Musk again. He realized that he made a negative impact when he announced about the suspension of btc payment in Tesla. I hope to see more good news in the coming days, and that means, the price may go up again and surpass the 40k level easy. For those who bought at 31k, even selling today will give you nice profit.
817  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we live without btc? on: May 24, 2021, 11:04:26 PM
Why not? There are millions of people that never touched any crypto yet and they live just fine. Crypto is fine but its absence wouldn't affect us critically. (unless you are a holder) If one day BTC (or something else) becomes as big as MasterCard or VISA and be cheaper than them, then we can have this talk again. Till then, the answer is "yes".

That's very true. Even up until now, a large population in our world has not even touched nor transacted bitcoin. Maybe, they have heard it but dealt it with, nope. Still small percentage are into crypto. So basically, the answer is yes here. Even other members of our families don't even know that we are into crypto. But for those who know bitcoin/crypto and earned from it especially during this pandemic, will be very thankful that they encountered bitcoin. But for others, they can very well live without bitcoin.
818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][WARD] Wardcoin - Litecoin Clone on: May 24, 2021, 09:47:40 PM
The impression it is giving me is that this project is not really a serious one, more of a meme coin. If we are talking cemetery/graves/bones/dirts here, what will be your game in this community? But of course, you can attract some diggers here. Now, do you think you can come up of a long-term vision here?
819  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trader took his own life after the recent huge dump on: May 23, 2021, 11:59:09 PM
This was a very sad news, if ever this really happen. Doing leverage trading is not easy actually. I had been here in this field of business for a couple of year and yet until now I never try to do leveraging in terms of trading here in cryptocurrency because I know it has a high risk once you do this. And only an experts can do this actually not for the newbies or lack of experience too.

Unfortunate event that someone took his life because of his losses. Maybe he couldn't accept what had happened to his life's savings and he couldn't see a way out to get out of this mess. If he should have reached out to his friend, the ending may be different. Sometimes, it needs a sincere conversation to someone in order to change perspectives in life. Let us remember, money can always be replaced, but our life, it is only one. We will always find a way how to resolve our financial situation. We will have a lifetime looking for ways on how to get back those savings.
820  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: TBD on: May 23, 2021, 11:40:51 PM
It is good to see that you are giving updates at the very start of this thread. This will assure your followers here that there is development going on in this project. However, in terms of your actual use case, you said this quarter you will conduct stress testing of eGift transfers based from your roadmap, is this still on time? Are we gonna see this from your app this quarter?
